Stopped in after I kept seeing their ice cream all over my Facebook! Stopped in with my dad and sister, we shared the banana fluffernutter and it was still pretty big for two people we did not finish it, but it was very good and HUGE. My dad got the strawberry cheesecake sundae and enjoyed it too and couldn't finish all of his either. Total was about $36 and some change for both of these ice cream which was pretty fair for the amount of ice cream considering we did not finish them. The area isn't the best that it is located in. There's no inside eating area so only outside but there's plenty of picnic tables, and only street parking. Staff working was very polite and helped us decide on what flavor to purchase. read more

Drove from NE Ct to try the "bomb." Saw a Facebook post last week and had to get here and try it. Was worth the drive. Got there right when it opened on a Saturday and the young lady working was friendly and helped us decide. Place has a few picnic tables to enjoy all their offerings. The milkshake had no thickness and was very watery. Definitely not worth $5 for a small milkshake. Felt like i was drinking Vanilla Milk. Also purchased a small sundae for $6 that was overpriced for a Sundae with an overload of whip cream and a cherry and very little ice cream. The sitting area in the back was filthy and unwelcoming. Have been coming to Roger's for years with my family. Usually a very positive experience. Today not so much. Ordered 3 medium "razzles". It's a combination of candy and soft serve blended together. Paid $23.What we were given was a cup 3/4 of the way full with a ton of the candy but not nearly enough ice cream making it extremely difficult to eat. Is the vanilla soft serve really that precious an ingredient? For the price I was expecting a little more effort from them. Sad to see a iconic local place slip this far. read more

I've had positive experiences with Roger's Place until recently when I purchased a dipped ice cream that had three hairs IN the dip. I was around the block when I realized it and it didn't feel worth it to go back to the line that was now around the block. Disappointed and will not be going back. read more

Used to love this place for the unique soft serve flavors that weren't their flavor bursts mixed in vanilla ice cream,but the past few years this place has gone downhill. During the warmer months the line here is ridiculously long and this is due to the time it takes to create the expensive $32 ice cream bombs. Went here last week and asked for a small cone and was told it was $6 something I said to myself this is ridiculous even though they're cone sizes are larger than most places. I then said make it a kiddie and that was $4 something. Had the prices been posted I probably would have walked away. The chocolate soft serve did not taste normal and had a fake chocolate flavor that's hard to describe but was not worth the price. I've been to most of the soft serve places in Chicopee and Roger's officially is the highest priced when before they were one of the cheaper places. read more

Well, this was our first and last time at Rogers. The place outside is very dirty!! Broken picnic tables, garbage everywhere and thats being polite. The poor lone employee inside was overwhelmed. There should never be any employee working inside alone for safety. The girl inside literally running around trying to keep up!! Only five people in front of us and it was a 30 minute wait!! Also very expensive for a soft serve ice cream sundae in a cup, $14.00. This is not the Rogers from the past from what I've heard. Lastly the girl inside working was apologetic about the wait. Service has really gone down. Prices are going up, which is understandable, but product quality is bad. Melting before it even it hits your hand. No flavor, ice cream taste like milk. I don't know if they have new owners, but they are really rude this summer. Never had bad service since I been going there for over 30 years, but this summer the older employees has attitude. Have very mixed feelings about our visit. The lady that worked there is definitely sick of working there. My guess is she has been working there a really long time, and tired of customer service. Two Junior cones and a sundae was $23. While everything was good, it's not a good place to take children who don't want to split something. Sizes are too big for individual consumption. Roger's is a landmark in Willimansett, set in the middle of a pretty residential old french neighborhood, and is a great place to stop on a hot afternoon or evening. What makes Roger's different than your run-of-the-mill soft serve joint, is that in addition to the obligatory vanilla, chocolate, or twist options, you can get some really different flavors, for example, maple or pistachio. They do take credit cards now, but they ask that you have a $5 minimum. The place can get REALLY busy with the lines literally hold up traffic on the streets surrounding it, but they always work hard and are very efficient at moving customers through! They also offer flavorbursts which add some real tasty flavors to the basic ice cream, as well a lot of different toppings. They also make floats banana splits and all that jazz!' It is also super affordable! $10 will get 4 people more than enough awesome ice cream while at other hard ice cream places that is like 1 waffle cone! this place is a chicopee staple and will remain one forever.
