I had the Double Smash Burger with fries and a milk shake. The burger was underwhelming, bun was toasted but not warm, so pre-toasted or just hanging out? Same thing with the bacon, cooked nicely but cool... burger and cheese was fresh and hot. Fries were warm-ish but not completely cold, would have been good if they were hot. Shake was great! My wife and I found this spot coming down from the Walmart in Westfield. We were hangry and this place popped up with a quick Google search in the area we were in. We stopped in and immediately upon walking in, I felt all the nostalgia. The vibe is very much like the name says, classic. Right when you enter, there's the ice cream parlor and the register to order for Both food and ice cream although they have separate menus. The ladies at the register were super nice and patient. It took us a minute to figure out what to order since they have such a big menu but once we were ready, they were ready to help. The seats are the best part of this place since it looks like you're sitting in the back of an old time car. My wife had their classic burger while I had their veggie burger (which was mostly made of black beans) Both were fantastic! I must say that the veggie burger was the best. I like the simple name. Burger was excellent, roll as well. Cooked to order. Fries were good too. l was studying the bill and they charged me ala cart 3.50 for fries, which we realized was as much as a combo, so they gave us a cup. Then, we noticed the bottled drinks in the little fridge and preferred that, so they let us have a bottled green tea. We couldn't give the cup back because of covid so we filled it with ice for the cooler and later dad also used the cup to sneak a Pepsi. Then we ordered a second burger, this time Swiss, and studied the bill after. There's a hamburger price and cheeseburger price for 30 cents more. With swiss, they didn't tell us it would be an ADDITIONAL 50 cents to the already higher cheeseburger price. So almost a dollar for a slice of swiss cheese- Bs. We would not have gotten the swiss if we knew this was this case. Of course an accounting trick not in the customer's favor. Just a little deceptive and petty. so I'm being petty right back. Let's not justify a quarter here and a quarter there, because, when multiplied by 1000s it adds up. It should've just been 50 cents more on the hamburger, not 30 plus 50, plus tax, plus the annoying factor. plus plus plus. We confronted the cashier and she did some handwaving and said that's how it was. Not only do you pay more for the cheeseburger- you pay extra for swiss/cheddar. Dad's conscious felt better for the Pepsi, and he got a refill. Five stars for the burger, just don't make the mistake of getting a $1, or there abouts, slice of cheddar or swiss. We were in the area for a craft show today, so stopped in to Classic Burgers for a quick lunch. I ordered the "James Dean" burger (came with French fries), my wife had the lobster roll w/ a side of onion rings. An employee brought out a grease splattered bag to our table after a short wait (why they bring out the food in paper bags instead of on trays for people eating inside, I'm not sure ? Everyone's food came to the table in a paper bag). I was underwhelmed by the burger, wasn't the worst burger I've ever had, but it was far from the best. Just average. The natural-cut French fries, on the other hand, were very good, tasty. My wife thought her lobster roll and onion rings were just OK, nothing really special. Loved the decor of Classic Burger and the theme. The employees working there are super-friendly, a girl brought around samples of the ice cream (which I did not try because she came to our table right after we had just received our food). A lot of 4 and 5 Star reviews here on Yelp for Classic Burgers, but I'm just not seeing it. read more

Stopped in on a Monday just after opening, and it was already kind of busy. Never been there before, so we didn't know if you seat yourself. We quickly learned it's an order up front, grab a seat, and they call your number, and bring food out kind of place. The guy behind the counter taking the orders was nice. It's a 50's themed burger place with oldies music and decor. The music was a bit too loud. They did have these cool old cars converted into benches, and old Coke coolers made into chairs. I would advise grabbing a menu and planning out your order, so your not staring at the menu board, while people behind you are waiting. I ordered the John Wayne burger. It was very good, seasoned great, cooked great, and the burger patty was a smash burger style. The fries were basic, and seasoned with just salt and pepper, but they were good and worked. The prices are high, and I was shocked when he said $45. We had three burgers, two small fries, milkshake, and two fountain sodas. I couldn't believe the kids meal was the most expensive thing we ordered at $12.29. It did come with a small kids ice cream, that we weren't aware of, but the guy behind the counter actually ran after us when we left and we're outside to tell us we forgot our kids ice cream. That was pretty nice to do. I wasn't a fan of the credit card convenience fee added to our order that we weren't aware of until looking at the receipt.
