It's friendly's the waitress was nice. The restaurant needs a massive update (the one in Saratoga Springs did in update but closed down not long after) . Sadly 2 restaurants have closed since the last time I looked it up. (It smells musty inside) They weren't that busy. The food wasn't bad. the menu didn't have much on it that stood out. The buffalo chicken wrap wasn't bad, but it wasn't unique to friendly. The ice cream helped with the heat from the wrap. Very overpriced for the quality of food. I'll give it four stars because memories! read more

This was a very disappointing experience at the Queensbury Friendly's. The biggest frustration was that the restaurant refused to honor a promotion that was clearly advertised on the front door. If you're going to post deals for customers to see, they should be honored without excuses. To make matters worse, it took far too long for anyone to even come to our table to greet us or take our order. We spent a good amount of time just waiting to be acknowledged, which set the tone for the rest of the visit. Between the misleading advertising and the slow service, this location has a lot of room for improvement. Hopefully management addresses these issues so future customers have a better experience. read more

Friendly's currently has very minimal locations in NY but while visiting in the Queensbury area, we couldn't resist the nostalgia. The ice cream tasted just as good as I remembered! We already had dinner so we didn't order any food. The mint cookie crunch sundae was delicious. Long live Friendly's!! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Soda was flat and tasteless. I ordered the Bacon Mac and cheese burger, Mac and cheese was burned and the burger was gross. When I told the waitress about the burger I was told that the Mac and cheese being burnt was "the way they make it" For desert I got 2 scoops of mint chocolate chip ice cream. When I received it I went to take my first bite and noticed a hair in my ice cream so I sent that back. Service was not great and the food was worse. Do not go here. read more

It's not busy, so why sit peeps directly next to others. There's is room, especially when you set a family with little kids in between older families. Not the best move! 10 booths and 4 tables. We do not need to know everything about the peeps in with us. Here's a hint. If you have a glove on one hand, that's the hand that you touch food with. Also, you don't use the gloves hand to touch your face, hair or clothing! Food was not exactly as ordered. Missing some ingredients. Looked sad, didn't taste any better. Service was okay. My son and I were racially discriminated in this so called establishment tonight. Went in as Friendly's was a place I'd often brought my son as a child. He is now 20. Walked in there were 3 Caucasian young ladies working none of who even greeted us nor asked if we would like to sit. My son went to the restroom and I remained at the front counter waiting to be seated or at least greeted. All 3 of the young ladies proceeded to ignore me and when my son came out of the restroom about 5 minutes later, we left. No one ever greeted us they acted as though I wasn't even standing there. My husband and I went in for ice cream and we ordered Jim Dandys. What they brought us was equivalent to a kiddie sundae. I was pissed to say the least. Good location, good food, average service. Friendly's parking lot is accessed through the Aviation Mall parking lot. It is a tight parking lot but has plenty of spots. There are two completely separated dining rooms On the left is an area with tables. To your right is an area with only booths. The booths are good for parties of four or less. The booth area reminds me of a diner. This location is almost always short staffed. Maybe it's because of Covid or other economic problems, so I'll cut them some slack on that, but if they could just add one or two more servers things would go much smoother. There would be faster service and cleaner tables. The servers have always been friendly and courteous, but you can tell that they're spread thin. The last two time two times I went I ordered a chicken quesadilla for an appetizer and they didn't have salsa. The first time I understand, but two times in a row? It shouldn't be that difficult to keep a supply of salsa in stock. Currently they what they call "Aloha Bowls" on the menu, which are quite good. The New England clam chowder is average. I don't get the burgers, because there are other places that are better. I like the food, the convenience, and the price, but they need to tighten up on the service and not run short on common food items. read more

Most casual dining restaurants these days blast music to the point of ruining the experience. Not sure why anyone thinks this is good idea. But this Friendly's is worse than most. Last time I went, music was so loud, I couldn't even have a conversation with my friend. I asked them to kill the music and quite a bit later, they turned it down a tiny bit. The food and service are irrelevant if the restaurant does not permit me to enjoy the company of my friends. Restaurants need to stop ruining the experience with unwanted music and this Friendly's more than most. read more

Came here expecting fast food style food mixed with a diner. Very disappointed. Waiter seemed to forget about us and forget that we ordered certain sandwiches without certain things. Waited 40 minutes for super average food. Prices were so expensive for the stuff they gave us. Will probably never come back to this location. read more

Went to pick it up 20 mins after ordering, they hadn't even confirmed my order yet and said it would take 20-40 minutes to make my ice cream but yet has 5 staff members walking back and forth. Ordered large sundae and paid EXTRA $ ($2) for extra hot fudge and extra peanut butter. These were also the general toppings I chose. Barely had ANY toppings at all on the whole sundae which cost just over $11. Friendly's is not what it used to be. Literally no toppings and certainly not the EXTRA that I paid for. read more

Arrived at noon with my elderly parents. Sat for 45 minutes all the while watching people who came in after us get their food orders. Finally the food arrives and there are black specks of some unknown substance all over the food with the exception of my Buffalo Chicken Wrap. At first glance, I thought it might be pepper, but it was too big to be pepper. Then we learn from another waitress that the fryer is broken and this black stuff is gunk that was stuck in the broken fryer. My wrap is ice cold by the way, like it hadn't even been warmed up. So I ask for the manager who tells me she will remove my wrap that didn't have the fryer gunk on it, but we have to pay for the food that was not eaten covered in black specks. Ironically, the manager stated that she wouldn't eat it, yet charged us $43.00 for the food covered in gunk from a broken fryer. Not going back ever. read more

I will start by saying we took the kids to Friendly's in Queensbury NY after a school concert or as I will now call it the most UnFriendly place to go. This place had the worst wait service, I have very received. We came in as a party of 8 and the first thing she said was really when told how many she did not take our name or give us a wait time. We waited From 730pm until 810pm before leaving with out being waited on and I knew it was time to leave when she turn on the air conditioning to full in 20 degree weather just to get us to leave I said her how much longer and she said 15 mins or longer this was with a I can not handle my job attitude they had 10 tables seated. I can not tell just how bad it was there and how unfriendly it was I want to tell every one I know not to ever go there because no one deservers to be treated like this. read more
