The coleslaw was so disappointing, I put the container back on the tray. It wasn't the right color -- cabbage is normally greenish but not this stuff. Did Zack pick up a cabbage that fell off the cabbage truck into a ditch! And the beans. . baked? I think not. I think they came out of a can and not a good brand at that. The beans were sloshing in canned beans slosh. Again, the burger and fries were delicious and now I know what not to order (beans, coleslaw or the fish. Fish is nothing to write home about nor was the little packet of sauce that went with it.) Unfortunately, another restaurant that could be truly wonderful, but they just don't bother to make it so.

We were served by a grown woman and younger lady, and although the first lady was all-business, she still had a sweet and fun demeanor. She had no problem letting my 11 yr old boy try the meat sauce to see if he liked it first (he did, most people would, it's like ketchup and ground beef). The hot dogs are served on perfectly toasted HOUSE MADE ROLLS. The younger employee ran outside while we were ordering and made sure the picnic area was ready without any prompting from anyone. (Thank you!) When we were done with our lunch, we all took advantage of the wonderful house-made PIES! My kids each got a mini, which is more than enough for anyone, and hubby spoiled us and got a very beautiful chocolate cream pie. EVERYTHING was great. It is so hard to get a satisfying experience anywhere anymore, but THIS PLACE shows it's possible. Went there for first time last evening thinking they seemed to be promising a burger and meal a cut-above the typical fast food burger places. All their posters around the mundane dining room boasted about their food. Got a bacon burger with regular fries. Fries seemed a like more greasy than other places. Hamburgers were over-cooked and dry. Bacon was cold. About two hours after eating the meal, and nothing else, I became sick to my stomach and spent the rest of the evening running back and forth to my bathroom. The meal was also in my opinion comparatively over-priced. I always receive nicely cooked and prepared burgers and fries at Burger King, and at lower prices. Will never go to Five Guys again and would not recommend it to anyone. read more
