The only thing I noticed was the prices here were a few dollars more than they are in upper north jersey which seemed odd to me. I have Eaten 5 Guys Burgers at many locations, even this one , and While the staff is superb and friendly and always hustling to keep the restaurant clean , tonight's Burgers and Fries were not the best . 2 Burgers ordered came mixed up condiments from order , top buns burnt on edges and squished, very little in way of " All the works " toppings , Large Fries were like a small one . Their are the next best thing to a home grilled cheeseburger. The cajun fries were very good had a little bit (spicy) but I'll be getting them again soon! Where to begin....the first thing I noticed where the prices, $7.99 + tax for a cheeseburger with bacon, which consisted of 2 ULTRA thin, compressed and way overcooked beef patties (1/4" each) with a single slice of American cheese in between them, some way overcooked bacon, that was actually so dry and over cooked that it was brittle and crunchy, is kind of high. Zero flavor in the patties, and they were overcooked to the point of having some "crunch" to them, along with the crunchy, overcooked bacon. The entire Burger sandwich was smaller than your average "Big Mac". If I didn't get lettuce and tomato on top, the Burger would have been almost too dry to eat. I'm sad to say that this Burger wasn't even on par with Burger Kings or McDonalds, and that's just sad. I also ordered a regular sized, Cajun seasoned fries for $3.89 + tax... While they do give you a lot of fries, they are saturated with oil, extremely greasy, and about half of my "Fries" were actual inch to inch and a half long bits of "fries". In addition, the Cajun seasoning, had more heat than flavor, so yeah, another disappointment. Definitely NOT on par with McDonalds or Burger Kings fries. Overall, I think for a Burger "Joint" Five guys falls woefully short of the mark. If you are looking for a "fast food" quality Burger, you are better off hitting Burger King or McDonalds, and you will save some money. There are much better places to grab a really good burger in the are if that's what you seek. As for me, I think Ill be taking my own advice and hit one of those better places next time I get a hankering for a good hamburger. read more

Hooray, there is a Five Guys in Queensbury! If you have never been to a Five Guys before you should go. Its like an In and Out Burger except they don't do a special sauce and their fries are better. Their "Famous Burgers" are about $5 and come stacked double high - you can add tons of toppings like pickles, tomatoes, etc...or add A1, jalapenos, hot sauce, and more. The fountain drink area has Cherry Coke, Root Beer, Fanta Orange Drink, and other sodas slightly different from the day to day. The fries are awesome, they are fresh cut from the sacks of Idaho potatoes laying all over the store. Mmmm...you can taste the peanut oil. I'm very glad they have opened one here...now of course I will be forever torn between them and New Way Lunch (next door). Choices, choices. read more

I love this place. My only wish is that burger toppings would be more consistent. Sometimes they are generous and delish, other times they are more sparse and dry with not enough. It's frustrating to be looking forward to their delicious stuff and open a dry burger that requires a hearty drink to get through it. I originally intended on using Yelp to provide a terrible review for another Glens Falls business that I experienced yesterday morning (11/14/20). I mean TERRIBLE! However, on my way out of town, I stopped by Five Guys for a burger and fries and because of my experience there, I have decided to use my energy to write glowing review for Five Guys instead. The friendliness and upbeat energy of the staff took the hard edge off my day. An older lady in front of me had several "pain in the neck" special requests and they handled them with a real "nothing is a problem" attitude. I watched the interaction and could tell that she was so appreciative of their attention in a world that often dismisses anyone over 40. When I mentioned the great job everyone was doing, the young expediting orders said, "we love our job!". It made me want to fill out an application! Anyone who laments, "you just can't get good help" should drop by there and re-think that statement. Obviously, you can, you just have to give them something to love about the place. I look forward to going back, just so I can witness a crew really working together (by the way, I have had similar experiences at Five Guys in Plattsburgh and Manhattan). I like the food, but at this place, I feel I got the bums rush. I ordered my standard, which is a regular burger with medium fries and a coke. That's $13.40 After I sit down, I tried to access the web from my Verizon phone, which gets 4 to 5 bars in Glens Falls - where this place is. I got two bars. Got two bars there a few months ago, as well (my only other in). I looked for a WiFi connection, Five Guys, and the others, are secured. I went up to the counter and asked a young lady if FiveGuys had free wifi for us customers, I was told no, but you can sign on to all the others in the plaza. I didn't think quickly enough to argue it. Bottom line, FiveGuys does not have free WiFi and does not give out the password. I had to sit and eat my 1:30PM lunch looking at the parking lot. Not Cool. You'd think this place would put in WiFi for their customers. I won't be back until I see a neon WiFi sign in the window.
