Yeah so... this is very unlike me, but I couldn't help it... we hadn't been to a Texas Roadhouse in over a year. This weekend was my first time in Lake George, and I usually try to steer clear of chain restaurants when on road trips. Boyfriend is definitely more a chain fan and before meeting me, would only go to places like the 99, Applebees, etc - but he really appreciates local spots now. However - I make an exception for Texas Roadhouse! We had no idea there was one in Queensbury, 10 minutes from our Lake George hotel, and when we spotted it we decided to cancel our reservation for another local spot and go there instead... It was packed. 50-minute wait for a table and the fact that Boyfriend agreed to wait says a lot. I guess a lot of people take their moms out on the Saturday night for Mother's Day?? But I love a packed restaurant, so I was in my comfort zone here. Food did *not* disappoint! We had our usual... him the steak with fries and Caesar salad and I did the grilled shrimp with rice, baked potato and corn. We shared more grilled shrimp as an app - we love the lemon and garlic sauce... wish I could replicate this at home. Lastly Boyfriend is insisting I mention our waitress Lexi.... She was excellent! Super friendly and professional, very efficient! Ask to be seated in her section! We absolutely will next time we visit (because yeah, we'll be back. Easily the best chain in the Capital region! Consistently delicious food. We always add ourselves to the waitlist online and are seated almost immediately after arriving for our scheduled time. Free rolls are great, sometimes better than others. Your server never takes long to come over. All of the appetizer options are good but we tend to get the boneless wings which are delicious, great sauce and fried fresh. The steaks, for the price, are unbeatable. As much as I genuinely take pride in small, local businesses, I gotta give it to Texas Roadhouse. This is my daughter's favorite restaurant. We have been here countless times & I cannot think of a single complaint to make. MAYBE if I had to, I would say, the kid's Mac & Cheese noodles aren't always the same type, so if you have a kiddo who is very particular about that, keep it in mind. (Sometimes elbows, sometimes cavatappi, sometimes kraft). Otherwise, the food is always perfectly cooked. & if not, they're always willing to make things right so you leave happy. Texas roadhouse always has fantastic steaks! The only reason I didn't give it five stars is if you go with your partner or your family and want to have a conversation the restaurant is a little too loud for that sort of intimate setting. But if you're into a boisterous place, and you don't mind the waiters and waitresses yelling out happy birthday songs this is the place for you! Let me start with what I like about Texas Roadhouse. Their warm, sweet bread rolls with cinnamon-honey butter are so good. I also like that you get to choose from a nice selection of sides to go along with your meal. It's great that you have an option to pick out your own steak, but there were no porterhouses or ribeyes in the case. We started with the killer rib appetizer. The ribs had plenty of meat on the bone, but they were a little dry. The sauce was delicious, and they came with fries. My wife and I both chose the NY strip, and my wife topped hers with mushrooms and onions. The steaks were perfectly cooked. The butter corn side should have been called spicy or seasoned because it was way too hot,and the string bean side was well seasoned with a smoky taste. We do love their delicious, fresh house salad, consisting of greens,cheddar cheese, tomatoes,eggs, and croutons. The restaurant is usually loud, and we always had great service here. This is a chain restaurant, but the steaks are very good... not chain style steaks, but good meat with flavor! I might have given the 4 stars, but only got food to go. They do a brisk to go business. When I left they were VERY crowded with people waiting outside. You can expect a long wait for dinner hour. Yet another meal in a chain restaurant, but it was great. I firmly believe it's the management that sets the tone, this location was on top of it. We had a party of 12 and they were very accommodating about getting us in at our needed timeline even though technically they don't take reservations. Our wait staff were fantastic and the food all came out at once, hot and correctly prepared. The place is well visited and could do with a bit of a scrub, particularly the ladies room. This is a very busy Texas Roadhouse. We got lucky and we were able to get seated without having to call ahead or use their waitlist. There were only two booths left when we walked in. Service was very good. They have a great staff at the Queensbury location. It was loud and warm inside the restaurant the night we visited. There was a "lively" birthday celebration happening along with several TVs blaring the baseball game. I wound up ordering the BBQ chicken with a side of seasoned rice and a cup of chili. Of course, there are many types of steaks and other entrees to think about too. The portion size was good and the chicken was tender. Their rolls are chewy and I thought I tasted a hint of cinnamon in their butter. All in all, it was a good choice to stop in! read more

First time taking the kids here!! They enjoyed it!! We didn't have to wait long to be seated. My youngest tried all kinds of different foods!! The blooming onions have gotten smaller......but they are still good!!!! The waitress was very nice!! I was very nervous taking my youngest here because they don't do well with loud sounds. This is still one of my favorite places to come eat. It was my daughter's birthday and she's like me so we had to come here. We had Juliette as a waitress, she was super awesome. Took our order and brought the drinks right away. We came here early to get in before the crowd. Food came out fast steaks cooked to pure perfection. Juliette kept all our drinks filled and took the empty plates away. I've said it many times before, the waitresses make the dining experience. When you expect a dish to taste a certain way and it actually exceeds your expectations then it's a good meal. One star deduction for the wait list system that said 25-35 minute wait when it turned into one hour and five minutes. One important factor in dining here was value for our money. I odered a cheeseburger with blue cheese. After a 40 minute wait I received a cheeseburger with American cheese. The only remedy offered (and offered rudely) was to remake my order...which I declined since the other members of my party would have already finished their meals. When I suggested that they could compensate me by reducing my bill they acted like it was a ridiculous idea. Generally I like this chain...particularly when on a road trip. In a time when chain restaurants are closing down due to lack of customers, it's insanity to allow someone like this who screams at a customer over one of their crappy onion bloom apps. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Went to celebrate a family birthday on 09/06/25. It was busy due to a car show in area. Food and service was okay until the end when family member's birthday coupon for free apps did not go through. Manager came over literally screaming at my family member in the middle of the restaurant that she wasn't allowed to use the app coupon with the prime rib dinners deal - 2 meals with appetizer for $52. And the irate manager kept repeating that "You were already getting 'discount food!'" as if they were getting some fabulous deal. Like REALLY? My boyfriend and I also got the "Deal" of two dinners for $52 with appetizer and got the onion bloom and it wasn't even cooked all the way. Another family member ordered chicken fritters and they were not cooked all the way either. Not raw, but rushed and poorly done. No one at our table complained about anything because we saw the were busy and tried to be understanding. Also, family member told waitress at the start she had the coupon for a free birthday appetizer and that she was ordering the two for $52, which also came with an appetizer. Waitress said no problem and the coupon would be applied at the end. I am writing this to say how absolutely disgusting the Manager on duty is to outrageously scream and embarrass a customer that was celebrating their special day. After another family member pointed out that they were never told they couldn't use the birthday coupon. At that point the manager finally shut up and I believe he went and yelled at the waitress because when she returned to ask if everything got taken care of, she looked like she had been crying. I hope this manager is fired as he not only has no people skills, but he's abusive and toxic to customers, so I can only imagine what this little shrimp of a man treats the staff like. There was a bug, looked like some kind of flying ant in my water, the waitress forgot one of my mother's sides, waitress forgot to put in my togo order so we sat much longer than we wanted to after we ate, waiting for my Togo order. My medium/well sirloin was charred to a crisp, so overcooked it was barely palatable and they forgot gravy for my potatoes. Brought all of this to my waitress's attention. All I got was "oh that's gross" about the bug and she took my water away and got my mom her missing side. Still didn't get my gravy. I also asked for my Togo order to be a separate check and it was added to our dinner check. I was so done at this point, I didn't even bother trying to get her attention again to correct it. The music was so loud I felt like I was screaming at the waitress and she still couldn't understand me. My family frequently goes to Texas Roadhouse and I'm not usually super sensitive about service as long as it's efficient and friendly and mistakes are corrected. But this the second time recently the order was incorrect and I had to chase down my waitress to fix it, otherwise who knows how long until she comes around to check on us. I'm so tired of this, I'm finally complaining because I'm just done going there for a while. It's too bad. read more

We were staying overnight at a hotel in Lake George and we're glad there was a Texas Roadhouse in town. We put ourself on the wait-list, and were told to wait in our car until we received a text. We did wait about an hour total because it was prime dinner hour. When we did receive a text to come inside, we did have to wait an additional fifteen or so minutes. The waiting area was congested and we did feel as if we were in the way. Once it was our turn to be seated, we are welcome with Texas Roadhouse rolls. Those rolls with cinnamon butter from this restaurant are what dreams are made of. Those alone will keep me coming back again and again. My husband and I shared the whole rack of ribs. They are fall-off-the bone tender, and the sauce is perfectly tangy. The full rack with two sides was the perfect size meal to share. The kids menu is expansive and has plenty of options for my picky eaters. The restaurant was nicely decorated for Christmas, and the servers dressed festively. Our food arrived COLD. We sat for over an hour and watched the staff clean 5 booths. They do an amazing job with the cleaning. We completely forgot who our waitress was bc she never checked on us. We got the impression she was a bit of a Prima Donna bc when she would make an appearance we'd ask her to take a empty glass or dish she'd look at us like we lost our minds and would ignore the request and leave. We complained to three people before the manager came over and offered 10% off the bill and comped our 1 appetizer. We nibbled at our food and left most of it. The cocktails and beverages were always filled and we certainly enjoyed sitting at the bar versus a table (so many TVs to watch & people watching to be had). Update*- I stupidly gave Texas Roadhouse in Queensbury NY one more shot, and my daughter's 6 oz filet that she asked for to be cooked medium rare, came out overcooked, and my 20oz bone in medium rare ribeye came out looking like a 10oz cut. See attached picture and judge for yourself. Update #2 - they brought me out a new steak, which when I touched it, immediately knew it was under cooked, In fact it was RAW. So back to the kitchen, for the second time. Coincidentally, my daughter's 6 oz filet also came out raw. This will be the absolute LAST time I ever go to this particular Texas Roadhouse. Food was ok, my sons steak was raw, ordered medium rare, it was raw, waitress ever came Back to see how's things were, manager finally came by to ask, asked to have his steak cooked more, came back out no different then it went in, manager dropped it off and said have a good night?
