I've been here about four times now. My GF likes the fish tacos. The food is decent (but I would not get the steak if you are a steak lover, it's definitely lower quality). French onion soup + boneless wings review Now I know that French onion soup isn't 99's specialty but this one was really poorly made. The cheese was just not good no flavor at all not burnt enough. Also the broth didn't have much flavor to it and the whole thing was mushy which im aware it's supposed to be but this mushy was a weird mushy. Also the soup was not hot when I received it. It was almost cold. Also I am a huge fan of the broth in French onion soup and this one just didn't have a lot of broth it was honestly mostly made up of onions which is good if you like onions! Their boneless wings are honestly really good. I normally opt for the buffalo sauce and it's really good. Paired with blue cheese! Super good. And their fries are nicely seasoned. Their golden fever sauce is okay. It's not amazing it's barbacuey and also mustardy?? Service is surprisingly good. My food normally comes pretty quickly! And the popcorn is good. Per usual I sat at the bar. The bartender was really nice and attentive to everyone seated there. It was great to see fiddle head on tap, they had most commercial brands on tap as well. The TV's had a variety of sports. Being a Wednesday night it consisted of boating and tennis but still sports. The menu selection was decent. I ordered a all star burger with fries and house salad. I am gluten free (celiac) the options were plentiful. The GF bun was very good and part of the reason they got 4 stars. Most chains serve GF that taste like cardboard. This pub had a higher end bun. The fries were the only reason I couldn't give them 5 stars. They were very bland. I am in town for work and would recommend this place to anyone staying at the home2 next door. I haven't been to a 99 restaurant in a few years and I gotta say. Place has gone down the tubes. Aside from the service being great that's it. Severely over priced. Website mentions happy hour 2-5 but when we got there ya gotta sit at bar. Can't do that with 5 young kids. Happy hour menus placed at our table (not at bar) but we can't order it. What's the point. $16 for a bowl of buffo mac? $16 for Buffalo wings and tots combo. Literally 6 total in the bowl and about 6 tiny buffalo wings. $14 for a burger and a handful of fries? It's not a fancy restaurant so why the fancy prices. My frustration could have been solved but just offering us the ability to half the half price appetizers we came in for. I've come here many times for a quick date night, drink with the girls, or family outting. I've always been satisfied with the food, service, prices, and cleanliness. But, this past Monday Queensbury 99 went above and beyond. The manager (Tim) made special arrangements for my class and 2 other special education classrooms to come have lunch after seeing Santa in the mall. He allowed us to enter early so our students could be settled before other customers came, we had our own section of the restaurant, and extremely attentive service. I was able to order approximately 30 meals ahead, which all came out warm and correct only a couple minutes after arriving. I cannot say enough to express how thankful I am for the team working that day to allow our students a very successful field trip! I hope to do it again next year!!! read more

Steaks are really tasty and just how you ask for. Good choice of beer, including Stella Artois. This is normally where we go for thinks like our birthdays and our anniversary. My boyfriend and I stop at 99 for a few drinks before a movie almost everytime we see a movie but this last visit we decided to grab some food quick as well. Besides the "regulars" sitting at the bar who were being rude about customers who were in the other night everything else was just crap as well. 99 cant neccesarily help how their customers behave but then our food comes out and the manager carrying it out wasnt sure if it was suppose to come to us, was trying to get the bartenders attention and she ignored him for at least 3 minutes. Extremely awkward to watch, especially when you see the whole kitchen staff peering from the window watching the awkward communication as well. We then get our food and our burger that was suppose to be med rare was not cooked med rare but was almost purple instead from being so undercooked. We didnt say anything because we ate our wings and ate around the super under cooked parts and wanted to just get out of there as soon as possible to catch our movie. My girlfriend and I decided to go out to eat and although our server Chris and the manager on duty were absolutely wonderful and apologetic, our food was terrible. My veggie burger was burnt to a crisp. Dry, charred, and not enough salsa to even start to bring it back to life. She got the potato skins and those were dry as well. So like some other local restaurants, they hang up pictures from the local sports teams. But only Queensbury, and for some reason, Lake George. Lots of pictures of Lake George. I have to coach against Lake George. I really don't want to eat a meal with all that around me. I asked the server about it, she asked the manager, neither of them knew why it was such a LG athletics themed restaurant now. I have literally, never seen better service at any restaurant in my entire life. Is the food good here? Yes. Are the prices decent here? Yes. Is the bubble green tea delicious? Absolutely. Our waiter was kind and properly attentive. Our food was tasty and the bill would have been what I like to spend on a night out. Now, it was a pretty quiet night and close to closing time for them. There was this elderly man sitting at one of the tables. He was eating some ice cream all by himself. After making sure there was nothing we needed, our waiter sat down across from this old man and had a conversation with him. Our waiter was probably in his early 20's and such class isn't often seen like that anymore. We came to find out that this older man was a regular here and would often come in just for some ice cream. We couldn't believe that this guy would sit down and just talk with this man. We stopped tonight for a quick bite. Decor is nice, service was good, asked for their "new French Dip burger". I asked for it to be cooked medium rare and was told the best they could do was medium. After the first bite it tasted rubbery and tough. The burger was way over cooked and landed in my stomach like a brick. It was so tough I had to ask for additional "horseradish sauce" to try to moisten the burger up. My date ordered a steak tip and chicken strip dinner which he enjoyed. Took my son there after getting haircuts. He had chicken tenders and fries and I had the Nachos and cheese with guacamole. His food was ok, not a lot of fries but he was happy. The nachos and chesse, ugh. The salsa tasted like it was marinara sauce and it was awful. For the 99 cents they charged me for the guacamole I got maybe a spoon full. It looked like there were a lot of nacho chips but the cheese covered a lot, cheese that wasn't even melted in the middle but on the bottom and top. To be honest the 99 Restaurant has some very good food I have sampled a variety of dishes and found this to be the case more often than not .The portions are very small, it is moderately priced but the portions size does not justify this. The staff is some what friendly, the desserts I found to be overpriced the popcorn is next to aw full and the 2 for 1 draft is often flat and warm . on a scale from 1-10 The 99 in the Aviation mall is a 4.5 Honest opinion read more
