It simply wasn't good. This is located within the Great Escape lodge. I ordered the cheesy bacon lovers scramble. It was not good. There wasn't much bacon either. Instead of bacon being throughout the scramble it was all towards the end and there wasn't a lot. It was more of an onion lovers scramble (see picture). There was so much onion, which was very unsettling. My boyfriend ordered the Philly cheese steak and eggs. He didn't like it at all. It's very rare for him not to like something, so that definitely says a lot! He said it was also burger meat and not steak in his scramble. The only good thing about our breakfast was the potatoes. They were nicely seasoned and crispy. read more

This was my first Johnny Rockets experience and it was okay. The burgers and fries was nothing to rave about. Yes, the retro vibe does set the aesthetic of that era, but that's as much as I can say. This location is huge with many booths and long table setups in the back. Placed order with Waitress who was cordial, not the friendliest, nor did she give any good recommendations either. The burgers were just okay, but the fries were really disappointing- all were soggy and greasy. This is not the impression or expectation I had for the chain restaurant. Maybe next time I need to lower my expectations. Prices are average and this establishment did honor my food vouchers from my lodge room stay. read more

This location is located next to a hotel and across the street from the Six Flags in the Lake George area , where many people stop in after a fun day at the amusement park . We have eaten at this location in the past and thought the food was very good but I'm sad to say that is no longer the case . Hence the 3 star review and that was because the hostess and servers were wonderful. The restaurant was filled with customers seemingly enjoying their meals .On arrival we asked to sit outside. The hostess was friendly and polite and we were quickly seated . Our server too was very polite and attentive she took our orders quickly and brought over our drinks within a few minutes. I ordered a Margarita which was prepared well and was very good , probably the best part of my meal ! We did have to wait about 30 mins for our meal to be served which I felt was an average wait time . We just ordered burgers and sweet potato fries , how can you go wrong ? . When it arrived at the table we were surprised to see how small the serving of potatoes were and the burger was closer to the size of a slider .The burgers were adequate and standard nothing special but the fries they were just plain AWFUL, rubbery , chewy and tasteless! We were so disappointed! So not worth the $$$$ read more

There are not enough people to help manage the minimal crowd. Fries and onion rings were not hot - it was obvious they sat under a heat lamp. The hostess seemed annoyed we did not want to sit in the hot inferno where my friends husband sat for over ten minutes with no service. Burgers were good. The place just needs more employees bc the wait, even for water was long. read more

A 15 minute wait to get in with this many customers. We've been waiting for 30 minutes for the appetizer. My banana shake was brought to me as "peanut butter" and turned out to be banana anyway. My kid just now, "Did they forget about us?" Holy crap! Bring me the bill for the shake and keep the food. I'm going somewhere else! read more

Was so excited to get some Johnny rockets on vacation but that changed fast! No idea how bad this chain has become. Walked into a 3/4 empty restaurant and had to wait 25 minutes to sit, once sat another 20 for a waitress, then another 20 for the drinks to come to the table. Then the "food" came, disgusting slop is a better term for what we got. After a few bites, we got the bill and laid when the waitress decided to show back up, then ran out never to go back again. read more

Ginger, the blonde bartender is very unprofessional! We were sat in her section at the bar and when she saw, proceeded to flip out and argue with the hostess in front of guests. We would have and had no problem waiting if she was indeed busy, although with the 3 people at the bar, I can't see a bartender who has "been in the industry over 20 years" being that overwhelmed adding in a 2 top. Someone else took our order for her to put in which must have never got put in as we never even received the fountain drinks we ordered. For 25 minutes Ginger walked by ignoring us as we sat and watched her on multiple occasions give an attitude and argue with both other guests and staff. read more

Food was good, good portions, great customer service, great burger. Staff was friendly and I didn't get food poisoning.

Fifteen mintes before order another fifteen for drinks. Drinks were made wrong, food was delivered thirty fove minutes later cold. One meal h was supposed to be no onions, and no mayo it had both. Another twenty minutes for it to be fixed. Came out wrong again no cheese no bacon. No discount for improperly made food. All in all not a great experience would NOT recomment. Kids agreed the only good thing was the milk shakes... FYI not real ice cream. I wasnt impressed by them but the kids all liked them. Very loud with a kids screaming at the top of her lungs off and on for fourty five minutes read more

Waiting for 35 minutes- 2 servers even on Sunday. My son is hungry and waiting so nobody came to us to check on us. Nothing so we left :(

I wouldn't think of going someplace with such lousy reviews but I was kinda dragged here against my will and we were starving and had a long drive ahead. This JR sucks. The place was literally empty at 7p on a Thursday. No customers...i guess the locals know better. I'll say the customer service was fine for us..our orders came out a little slow but the wait staff was nice enough. Maybe because they were bored? But this place fails when it comes to food. I've had a better burger at Wendy's but didn't have to pay almost $9 for it. The burger was pancake thin and leather tough..yet still grey and greasy. The lettuce was crisp and fresh but the onion rings anemic looking and the fries served cold. Roll was somewhat stale but edible. I could forgive the lousy burgers if they didn't present themselves as a burger joint. Just pass this place by if you can read more

We called in our order for dinner, when I arrived at the restaurant, I only saw two people that were eating there, I had to yell out for the waitress to pick up our order...then the waitress came out I gave her $50 bill, and said that I just needed $15 back (covered the cost of our meal and tip), she said because they "don't do cash" - she called the Manager to get change for me - at this time I just wanted to pay and get out - Seriously ?? What restaurant "doesn't do cash" ???? I dug in my pocket and gave her the exact amount for the bill and left. Long story - short - Don't go unless you have a credit or debit card. read more

Incredibly understaffed. The staff they do have are clearly overworked and having a difficult time. One waitress yelled at a table who had been waiting for a long time. Our waitress was kind but kept asking if we wanted to stay and eat because it was going to be a long time. We had already sat down with three hungry kids and it's the only breakfast option at the resort. The food was so-so. Nothing to write home about. Given the chance, I would have left and gone and had breakfast elsewhere. read more

Horrible service and staff. The high school staff and students made a Reservation to eat at 7pm on June 3. We arrived at 6:55pm and were told to wait 20minutes, 30minutes later we were told, they might have availability at the patio. It's currently been 2 hours since we've arrived at Johnny rockets and they are just now taking our order . Post meal, The shakes were good, but do not come here to eat a burger read more

We stopped there at 3:30 in the afternoon and they had 100 tables empty but we're telling everybody over a 20 minute wait

We entered at 11:32 and the restaurant was empty. A male employee said come in, we just opened. We sat down and we're told we couldn't have breakfast because they stopped serving breakfast at 11:30. No pepper jack cheese or mayo and the fries were cold and hard. read more

I'm homeless and have been for a minute and this area of the adirondacks. When I talked with the manager there lori, and Jake one of the supervisors, they treated me very well, we're very sympathetic and even offered me a free meal. I can't speak for the quality of the food, or the taste, or the restaurant experience, as I am grateful and always in gratitude whenever someone tries to help me out or do their best. I was actually trying to get a job here so I can become a cook so I can make good food, but unfortunately the human resources department I.e. corporate interests unfortunately said no to my job offer. I had already been through two interviews, and everything was set between me Lori and Jake but unfortunately things did not work. Even so I write this review, because of the kindness of lori, her compassion and concern for me, and the kindness of the team. As I said I don't speak for any quality of food or any restaurant experience or anything, but I do speak of the kindness when someone truly listens to the story and truly helps me out. I don't typically meet as it is, but I was very hungry that day, and they helped me out quite a lot. They say beggars can't be choosers, which isn't always true, but if I had to choose, I would work with Lori and Jake again. Thank you for your generosity, and a sterling review to those two employees. As well as of course the staff. In Jesus, Amen. read more

Not gonna lie I read the reviews and was quite nervous, but overall the experience was pretty good. The food was to be expected, slightly pricy. The only thing really knocking points was that it was a little dirty on the inside. You could tell it was a little old and outdated and the floors and walls were a little stained and dirty. Service overall was decent our waitress was very nice. read more

I am unsure why others had issues here. This place was a pleasure to eat at. The food was fresh, hot, correct, and served with a smile and pleasant attitude. Yes Johnny Rockets is a burger place, it's huge, and they do I am sure get testy. However; some of the issues encountered might be the result of this place being right at Six Flags gate and the Six Flags indoor water park which lends to hyperactive kids and stressed out parents. So give this place a break as they have to deal with uncontrolled kids and parental attitudes. I found the staff helpful and pleasant to talk with. Food was great and I strongly recommend this as a place to stop while in the area. read more

I've been to a Johnny Rockets years before in Destiny USA. Everything there had been great. We were visiting Lake George for the Adirondack Nationals car show. The place looked abandoned. There was only one family there at 5pm. Our server seemed nervous, but was attentive and helpful with our order. We both got the bacon cheeseburger and a side order of onion rings. The rings were overcooked, the breading was hard. It wasn't exactly a bad experience. But I won't go there again read more

Jukebox and jukeboxes on the tables not working. Seats ripped. They explained that they'll be getting renovated soon. In the meantime, it feels pretty run down. Nice Servers. If i could give this place a rating of zero stars i totally would. My husband and i were here for 2 hours not because we were waiting to be seated but because the service and food was total sh!t. we ordered our whole order in one go, 15 mins go by and we FINALLY get our drinks (which were milkshakes) we then ask for 2 waters NO LEMON they come 10 mins later with lemon in them so we just pick it out. 15 mins later our appetizer (cheesy bacon fries) came , the serving size was like a child's handful and it came with like 3 pounds of cheese and BURNT bacon. 20 mins later our food comes (my husband ordered a steak sub with no onions or peppers and tator tots , i ordered a hamburger with no tomato, cheese or relish and fries.) and BOTH of our meals are wrong his had peppers on it and mine had relish on it , so we sent them back. Another 20 mins goes by and they finally come out again , this time my husbands was made correctly but mine was not , this time no relish but it had tomato on it so i sent it back again. 15 mins later it comes out again and it was WRONG again!! another 12 mins goes by and it comes out again this time made correctly but it had SO much mustard on it it was dripping off the burger and the burger was so over cooked it was like chewing leather (i asked for medium). I ate a couple of bites and couldn't eat anymore it was so bad. we then get our bill and it's almost $60 so we ask to speak to the manager , the manager comes out asking what's going on so we tell her the situation. She then comes back with an insane amount of attitude asking if we asked for a manager while all this was going on , we replied no it should be the waitress job after both of our meals were wrong the first time let alone 4 TIMES. she then tells us there's nothing she can do so then my husband tells her he's not paying $60 for service/food that wasn't worth $10 she gets all huffy and puffy and goes to speak with the waitress. manager then comes back with the check and she had taken off everything but the milkshakes and the appetizer which came to $20. we were okay with that so my husband gives her his card and 15 MINUTES later she comes back with it. it doesn't take that long to cash someone out. this place should not be in business anymore. do not waste your time or money here. read more

It started out really well with the new-looking outdoor deck and furniture. Strawberry milkshakes were satisfying. Pass on the watery salty chili. Burger, hot dog, chicken club salad and tater tots and onion rings were all fine. Then we started battling the bees. The rest of the meal was stressful until we were finally chased off. read more

I waited 15/20 mins to be seated as a party of 3. We waited an hour for food and didn't receive it. They were focused on take out orders and those sitting in the sports bar section. Ended up walking out. Another party I was with ordered takeout and had their food within 20 mins. No fault of the server, management needed to take care of the kitchen. No one in the dining area I was seated in had food for the hour I was there. read more

5 stars mostly for Eric our waiter, who was very welcoming and friendly. God bless him, he even made my 3 month old baby smile . Food was very good too, I wasn't expecting much after reading the reviews on Yelp, my kids (8 & 10 ) wanted to come here, so I have to say better than I expected. The buffalo wings are the bomb (meaty and has a really good kick to them), we got the smokehouse burger and that was good too. Kids ate their burgers and absolutely enjoyed it. I've been to shake shack, smash burger, five guys, etc... the burgers here are good. Thank you again Eric for your joyful costumer service! read more

Its a typical Johnny Rockets. Greasy fries smothered in chesse and Burgers. But the Milk Shakes are great, service was prompt and friendly. Having eaten at other Johnny Rockets in the past in locations from South NJ to Niagara Falls Canada, I knew what I was getting, so my expectations where right where they should have been. Nothing horrible to report, service was good and food was exactly what I expected, as ordered. The wait was within acceptable parameters. If you are looking for a "gourmet" burger then you shouldn't be heading to Johnny Rockets in the first place. This place is as advertised; namely a fairly good place for a decent, quick, good sized burger, fair prices, excellent parking, and well above average Milkshakes. read more

If you want my honest opinion, it was the worst meal I have ever had in my life. Customer service was fine, our waiter was very kind, thought they brought out the wrong milkshakes to the wrong table and then brought them to the correct table after we touched them ( but didn't drink them ), I would be disgusted. The salads came out on a plate smaller then my iPhone XS Max and the burger tasted like plastic. The fries and onion rings are something to not even get me started on. My "plastic burger" was $10 which I could have had better at Wendy's for a cheaper price. The plastic silverware was a deal breaker. In my opinion, pass right by, you'll have better luck at McDonald's. read more

This may have been the worst place I have ever eaten. It's dirty, the staff was arguing with one another..our bartender was crying. It needs an overhaul. I don't know where to start . Well, the minute you walk in , you smell a rotten egg or a mold smell throughout the whole place . Someone put the jukebox on and it was so freaking loud ! I had to ask someone to turn it down . Then you wait to get seated . And it takes a while to have a waiter come over . I had to get up after 20 minutes and ask for my waiter . Then the waiter comes over . The guy looked like the character "Poindexter" from the 1984 movie Revenge of the Nerds. To make a long story short , the waiter screwed up the order , but the food and the shakes were good. The waiter was very apologetic and even admitted it was his 3rd day on the job. I gave him a good tip for his honesty. If you like good food and don't mind the moldy smell throughout the place, then this is the place for you . read more

Waited 10 mins to be seated for a table of 3, finally sat down and waited another 20 to even have a drink order taken which at this point we are frustrated and hungry mind you the place was dead with maybe 5 tables. Were told another person takes our food order waited another 15 mins which no one came then we asked for the check for the drinks and we headed out pissed and still hungry. Been to this JR location a couple e of years ago enjoyed it then. However this visit was completely different. First noticed that the menu changed. The previous visit the menu had many more options. The main attraction seemed to be the burgers and fries with just a few other option as compared to the last visit. Understandable I do like a good burger. I ordered a burger with cheese tots. Not good! The bacon on the burger was almost thicker than the burger it self! The burger was over cooked and dried out. The tots were good if you ate the ones without the cheese. The cheese sauce had no flavor and I compared it to an orange colored flour and water mixture poured over the tots. Extremely disappointed. I was looking forward to the latest visit and now will never return. Complete waste of money. read more
