The interior is small, and the walls lined with local art for sale, seemingly by artists of all ages and disciplines Their menu had a decent breakfast, with the main staples like eggs, pancakes, waffles and French toast. I got an egg combo, the food and it came out quickly, but was very basic. The food lacked any real flavor or excitement, just eggs with a slice or two of American cheese melted over the top. Definitely not impressive, especially for the price, I'd probably try a different spot next time.

The owner immediately responded, addressed my concerns, and even offered me a gift card as compensation. I thought that was incredibly generous, and I truly appreciated how seriously he took my feedback. Today, I had a busy meeting at work, so I sent my coworker to this location to pick up some muffins for us. He was warmly welcomed and helped by two wonderful female employees. He brought back a dozen muffins, and I finally got to try one myself--the chocolate chip muffin was absolutely delicious! And when I say these muffins are HUGE, I mean HUGE! This location is AMAZING. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the establishment is clean and well-kept, and the muffins are delicious. I definitely recommend giving Muffin House a try!

The fries that were about $3 extra were soggy from being wrapped tight in a paper bag and then in a plastic container. No seasoning on them at all and were more of a kids portion than an adults. The reuben was supposed to be on thick cut bread - not the thin it came on-and at have "special sauce". It had the coleslaw but no sauce and while the meat was plentiful it looked like they rolled it into a meatball and slapped it in the middle of the bread-aka there was no meat crust to crust. They need to rename that sandwich because it was not a reuben. Dessert was your typical store bought cheap cheesecake, You'd expect if it came with chocolate (aka Hersheys syrup) and chocolate cookie crumbles that it would have a chocolate crust. Nope. So, the reason the led me here was that I was on the hunt for hello kitties (LOL) & I saw on their website they sold them... totally didn't expect that at all. I arrived thinking I'd be able to score a hello kitty, however, they didn't have any left in store. The store associate we spoke to was so kind & told us that they'll likely restock soon. Though I didn't end up leaving with a new Hello Kitty, I did get some new scented lotion! The lotion is actually very moisturizing & smells divine! Whatever is happening at Shake Shack, it's not good. 5 years ago, I would have done the unthinkable and ranked Shake Shack above my much loved In N Out Burger. Now, I honestly wouldn't rank it much higher than Wendy's. This location didn't prove me wrong. I got their new, limited black truffle burger, which has onion strings, truffle sauce on the standard Shack Burger. What's wrong with it: - The burger came too well-done. It was very thin (thinner than your average smash burger). It had none of that salty carmelization on the outside which makes a burger crispy on the outside. It had no moist, juicy center. It was just rubbery and kind of flavorless. - The quality of the meat seamed different than past burgers ... not as flavorful. The burger seems thinner. - The onion straws would have made a nice addition in the old days of quality Shake Shack. They were kind of dry and crunchy ... not fresh made. They were thrown to the edge of the bun, which forces the burger to be pushed out of the bun and all the onions were at the other end. - The truffle sauce wasn't remarkable. For an additional $3+ vs. their standard Shack Burger, it was your typical fake truffle oil mixed into standard Shack sauce. It tastes like kissing someone in the morning who spent the night after a long night of drinking. - The bun was a standard cheap grocery store bun, which almost looked as though it had deflated. I have noticed a huge drop in the quality of the buns, almond with the meat. - Just a point of personal taste but the crispy iceberg lettuce at In N Out is so much better than the frizzy, thin lettuce at Shake Shack. Also, the tomato didn't seem fresh. The cheese was the best part of the burger, melted well. Overall, it's a shame because Shake Shack used to stand for high quality ingredients and was executed with perfection. Now one out of every four trips yields a good experience ... and each time I go into a Shake Shack (the same store, or different) the burger is made/cooked completely different. I used to drive out of my way to go to a Shake Shack ... maybe once a week as a treat. Now, I will occasionally go to one at an outdoor mall if I am there, hoping it's the one of four times I get a good burger. Usually, I leave dissappointed and out of $8 - $10. The fact that a burger combo meal can be north of $20 is mind boggling. Shake Shack at this busy mall had 4 people in it at 7 p.m. on a Friday. That should tell you something. 5 years ago, the line would have been out the door. Shake Shack really needs to get back to who they used to be. If that means closing stores to focus on quality in the higher performing stores, empty Shake Shacks never used to be a thing. There's always an answer as to why.
