Fresh Sqeezed Orange Juice - i got 2

Great spot for breakfast. We sat outdoor and the food was amazing. The owner served us and was very hospitable and kind. Will definitely come back.

    Irish breakfast.

Unremarkable on the outside, extreme goodness on the inside. The folks running the place couldn't be any nicer, and the locals clearly enjoyed chatting with the friendly staff. I saw other reviews of the Irish breakfast, and I had to try it out. First, out came four slices of Texas toast- an appetizer? The warm up act? Them the main dish -eggs, sausages, Irish bacon, and both white and black pudding (AKA more sausage). I'm not entirely positive the puds were 100% traditional -that is to say, so metallic tang from blood, but maybe that's actually a good thing!

    Salmon eggs Benedict. Delicious!!

This little diner has great food and chill attitude. I really enjoyed the eggs Benedict surg salmon (I got a side salad instead of the home fries). Orange juice was squeezed on the spot tooa Will definitely be back!

Incredible breakfast spot. Fresh squeezed OJ and they hand picked basil from the garden for my partner's omelette. Such a friendly guy and great quality food. Hidden gem for sure.

We had another marvelous breakfast this morning. Today we sat outside and the choice to do so, was correct. The area is quiet and there was a nice cool breeze. I got the Irish omelette and it was perfect. The serving was enough for two, but this Irish guy polished off his breakfast. My gf got another type off omelettte which had cheddar cheese and it too was out of this world. Both came with toast and home fries. Hilda took care of us and the service was great. Thank you Hilda..

    Hash Bash breakfast.

Great food, fast service, fresh fruit and fresh squeezed orange juice. Parking is a bit limited but not impossible. Sitting outside was also a plus.

Unexpected delicious gem of a diner. Great service. Peaceful environment. The food is delicous

Mediocre buttermilk pancakes and scrambled eggs with nasty cheddar cheese slice(s).

My friend and I traveled to Boston, MA, from Houston, TX, for a vacation and decided to stop into the Sunshine Café for breakfast on 9/29/23. It was not a pleasant experience and the food was mediocre at best. The owner was very gruff with us and questioned when I asked for cheese on my scrambled eggs. He seemed very put out when we asked for things like cream for coffee or a cup of ice to go with a can of Coke. I ordered scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese and buttermilk pancakes. Both the eggs and pancakes tasted like they had been cooked in a pan used for other things and not cleaned first. The eggs actually had a sweet flavor to them; not good. And look at the cheese they put on my scrambled eggs! What is this? Whatever cheese they used was super cheap and nasty. Even Velveeta tastes better. The buttermilk pancakes were not very good at all either. McDonalds has better pancakes and honestly, I can make them much better using a Betty Crocker cookbook recipe. My friend ordered eggs and toast and she also said it was also not great. I honestly cannot believe that this restaurant gets the reviews that it does! If you think this place has good pancakes, you have not traveled to the Midwest - especially places in Minnesota - where pancakes are the bomb! We also thought the prices were too high considering the quality of the food. Again, would have been better off going to somewhere else but decided to try this place because of the reviews. I cannot recommend this place AT ALL. Go somewhere else in Boston where you don't have to put up with the owner's attitude and the poor taste of this place's food.

The staff, managers, server all were very nice and accommodating. Food came out fast and hot. Also had a very nice conversation with the couple next to us, who had wisdom and knowledge of some history which we could relate to. We ordered the following: - Fritto misto 3/5 for me. The garlic/lemon aioli that was loaded on the bottom of the dish was great just allows u to smear and dip everything into the plate instead of a small dip dish everyone has to share. The calamari and shrimp portion is a nice appetizer size. Crispy yes, but our portion was a bit overcooked. - spaghetti Al limone - perfectly cooked, nice chew and portion. You get 4 jumbo shrimps on the pasta plate. The lemon zest sauce was tasty! Enjoyed this! 5/5 - fennel sausage pizza 5/5 I really enjoy the way they make the pizza, crispy, good bites, fresh and served on the plate with a pair of pizza scissors so you can make your own "slices" loaded with toppings. It was a good thin style. Ample bits of fennel sausage, peppers onions and scallion fresh on top. - limoncello mascarpone cake 5/5 This was a great cap to the meal. Light, the mascarpone was refreshing, the cake was not heavy and the lemon flavor came thru like a champ! Not overly sweet which is a plus for us. Some bakeries make their cakes so sweet, that it all just tastes artificial, the slice here was yummy.

It was super cool to learn that they are Employee owned, and currently working on new restaurant concepts set to open soon. Here's what we ordered: - Shirley temple - fritto misto - fennel sausage pizza - spaghetti al limone - limoncello mascarpone cake Portion sizes were quite generous! Much bigger than what we were expecting, based on photos we looked at. We started off with the fritto misto, which included fried calamari, shrimp, & fried lemon with a lemon aioli to dip. The lemon aioli was spread all over the bottom of the dish instead of in a ramekin. We actually prefer it this way! Loved the lemon aioli and fried lemons. Calamari was not bad; slightly overcooked. On to our entrees! Their pizza is thin & very similar to a flatbread. We enjoyed this a lot! Great flavor and loved that we got to cut it ourselves. Came with a good amount of toppings. The spaghetti was made al dente & came with a creamy lime sauce. You can definitely taste the lime here! This came with 4 big shrimps. We were able to finish everything we ordered at this point... so we decided to get some dessert! We ordered the limoncello mascarpone cake to try & it was delicious! It tasted refreshing and not heavy at all. Overall, we had a great dinner here. Our server was very nice, attentive, and helpful with giving suggestions for what we should order. Checking out was also very easy. They offer QR code scan to pay through Toast, which can be scanned on your receipt bill.

Fluffy Eggs althoughI couldn't taste the jalapeno cheese, excellent pork sausage, french toast and pancakes were awesome. My sisters complaint was about the jalapeno cheese. Y'all gotta get a better jalapeno cheese or add a real jalapeno to it. The other issue was, the smashed potatoes were inconsistent due to the salt content. However, everything else ordered was very good. By the way. Met the manager. Her name is Ms. Abigail. Talk about accommodatingly awesome! It's colorful, it's groovy, it's bright, it's nostalgic. Even the employees are wearing shirts with funky themes and patterns. There are TVs showing shows from back then. The floors are checkered, the ceiling is silver, the chairs are red and the tables are blue. We were seated at a booth, which can more than comfortably sit 4-6 people. The menu is HUGE, think cheesecake factory but for a diner. There's a little bit of everything but the font and everything around it makes it hard to focus on what each item is. I went very simple and chose the Simon and Garfunkel which included two pancakes or French toast, two eggs, two bacon, two sausage, toast, and home fries for $18.99. After about 15 minutes, our food came out. The bacon could have been crispier, with some parts being wobbly. The sausage was thick, juicy, and savory. The potatoes were a little bland and mushy on the outside. The eggs were cooked medium, just how I requested them, and the englush muffin was a little different than your traditional ones since it didn't have the little pockets of air but it was still good. The French toast was moist, but I wish it had more cinnamon - the egg was the dominant flavor. Overall, it was a very satisfying breakfast. There is plenty of parking as it's in a plaza
