It is 1:38pm. I got here at 11:35am. It's 4 kids and 4 adults. We haven't even gotten our ice cream. It took over a half hour for drinks and went 35 minutes between seeing a waiter. This is possibly one of the worst dining experiences in our lives. Not one but two managers have been here to no help

Four stars for nostalgia, three stars for quality and service, two stars for value. Friendlys is an essential Long Island kid experience. I vividly remember it being the place of birthdays and graduation celebrations for my whole childhood. I took my older daughter here dozens of times before we moved but never got to bring my youngest. For this visit back to our roots I knew I had to see this baby enjoy a cone head sundae. Now friendlys is certainly not high brow but in the last couple years they've revamped their menu and also drastically escalated their prices. Imagine my shock upon seeing my beloved honey bbq chicken supermelt has skyrocketed from $8.99 to a shocking $14.99. The upgrade from regular fries to waffle fries that used to be .79c is now $2.29! I know I sound like a real boomer with that rant but sheesh- sticker shock. A meal that once ran us about $35 came out to $71 today. Having the sentimental experience with my youngest daughter was worth it- just once though. As I gazed at my husband over the gargantuan five scoop sundae we have shared a hundred times before I had a realization that this is probably the last time. Even if we visit the island again, we probably wouldn't drop $70 here again with so many other worthwhile restaurants around. The food was good quality, and the items we ordered for nostalgia sake were as consistent as ever but it seems friendlys is now just a bit too rich for our blood. But I truly enjoyed the moment in time of seeing my youngest enjoy this experience.

Traditional meal and ice cream the way I remembered it. Mgr greeted and welcomed us. Seated immediately, waitress was super friendly and remedied one snafu. Place was not crowded which I was surprised w the free ice cream with certain lunch selections. Families, dad's and daughters ...friends ..we're all enjoying their meals. Bathrooms clean, accessible, and Friendly's Ice Cream freezer stocked! For upcoming holidays take away- cakes, ice cream and deserts. I'd stop here again. Great lunch. Back to basics !

Stopped by for some ice cream after shopping at Stop & Shop. This was my first Friendly's ice cream experience and, as an ice cream lover, it didn't even phase me that the weather was ice cold outside. I still needed my fix! Though they do have indoor seating and a full menu, my husband and I opted to stop in to just order some ice cream to go. I was impressed with the various types of sundaes and ways one could have their ice cream served but I was a little disappointed with the lack of selection of ice cream flavors. Perhaps the flavors I ordered were not popular, but I was also sad to get home and find that one of my scoops of ice cream tasted a little old with hints of freezer burn (Vienna Mocha Chunk). My husband's Reese's Pieces sundae also seemed to instantly disintegrate into soup as he started to dive in. (Our destination was not far from this Friendly's location, so the potential for the ice cream to maintain its form was high.) Service was friendly at the counter. I asked to sample two flavors, both of which I ended up not ordering (neither had freezer burn), and the young lady helping us was patient, kind, and extremely helpful in answering our questions and filling our order. Though the ice cream itself was a little bit of a let down, we did come in toward the end of the night and perhaps, that made an impact on our order. My first Friendly's experience missed the mark, but I would be willing to give them another try during more 'lively' business hours.

Visit Date: December 11, 2024…read more I came here with the guy I'm dating. We like to go to the vinyl nights that Tom Perrone has, with other people from 8 o'clock shot (the best group on facebook). Tom and Maria were hosting a Wednesday night Vinyl Night at Fadely's. This place is so interesting. I couldn't stop looking around at all the decor, everywhere I looked I saw something new tucked into one of the nooks & crannies of the place. It was raining when we went but the outside looked like a great place to be. There was one spot where you can shelter from the rain and they hung an upside down Christmas tree in it. The drink offerings seem to be a wide variety and good choices. I don't drink alcohol so I had my orange juice and seltzer which is one of my go to drinks if I'm not having a non alcoholic beer. Everyone here was nice and friendly including the bartender. I would come here again, a nice place to hang out.

Came here on a fall Saturday night for a little night cap after a wedding. From the outside you…read morewould hardly expect anything from this place, a real dive bar if there ever was one in Patchogue. But once you get, if you're like me you'll be pleasantly surprised! The place offers live music occasionally and has a ton of space both indoors and out back to hangout, both with TVs in case you have any sport viewing you want to do as well. I definitely recommend the outdoor area if you've got a nice enough night for it. The drink variety won't blow your pants off, but it's got something for everybody and at prices that won't blow your pants off either. Although I didn't get a chance to try any of the food, from what I saw though it looked like good bar fare, and I in particular was eyeing the pizza. There's no dedicated parking lot, but there is some decent parking along the side streets nearby that shouldn't give you too much issue. This place is a nice change up from the typical scene you see a long main street. It might not be the loud and club like vibe you might be looking for, but for me that's quite alright. Would be happy to come back here anytime for a cold hard beverage and good conversation.

Awesome breakfast!…read more I was hesitant to try this for breakfast but it's attached to the hotel so the convenience was there. It turned out to be a great decision because the breakfast was great! Love that they open super early so if you want to slip down in your pjs I'm sure you could. We went around 7am both days and it was pretty empty. - if you're a guest of Holiday Inn Islip, you can add breakfast (look at menu pricing to see if optimal) - Limited breakfast options but all the favs! - kids eat free - they have sausage patty's! So good! - unlimited coffee in a carafe Everything tasted fresh and made to order plus cheaper than diners! Great deal especially if you're a guest at the hotel. Highly recommend!

We got to our seats and were blessed with an amazing server tonight, Lindsey!!!! Lindsey was awesome and lots of fun as we were deciding on what to order. Tonight I decided to go with the NY Strip steak at $32.99 +/- the steak was cooked perfectly rate and was delicious. I got this with a side of pasta too. (Don't ask for extra $auce. Get the dollar sign, they charge for that, only negative) We also had a beautiful and delicious plate of nachos. My mother in law got the delicious and awesome lobster ravioli!!!! My wife ordered the pasta belagio with sun-dried tomatoes! And of course, you can't forget dessert, that brownie Sunday puts you right to sleep!!!!! DELICIOUS!!!!!!

I've celebrated a few birthdays here and selected Karver's for my birthday this year- today. Well, I wasn't very impressed today. I ordered the chop salad with steak, which I've had several times over the years. Our meals took maybe 25 minutes to come out. It's a Saturday so I get it. But then they gave me the wrong salad and the steak was tough. I let Oscar know and he put in a new order for the correct salad. My friend was already eating her meal but I had to wait for mine. It came delivered by the female manager and was now the correct salad but the steak was still tough. (Ordered medium) we then ordered dessert to share. We paid the bill and tip but I wasn't really happy with my experience this time. No offer to compensate for the initial wait time, and then the incorrect order. Just feeling kinda meh.

I don't not like places this loud! It is a beautiful restaurant but it was too hard to see anything due to overcrowding. Food was very good. Got Mac n cheese bites, Caesar salad and a cheeseburger. The bartender (Kelly) was not attentive (empty drinks) bc she bar was understaffed. I really think this restaurant has enough staff to pack out the way it does.
