I'm in town from California and just checked into my hotel and feeling hungry for a burger. I opened my Yelp APP and searched for a burger establishment. NY Burger Shack popped up and the menu looks good so I'd thought I'd give it a try. I went with the NY smash burger special with fries and a drink. The absolute BEST burger I've ever had! It's also so easy to order at their kiosk, food came out quickly And exactly as ordered. The 4oz burger was HUGE! I got just regular burger, with American cheese, white onions, Ketchum and their spicy mayo. I'd definitely recommend this place 100%! What a hidden gem. Great burger selection. Some pretty unique burgers. They also have a chicken sandwich menu that I can't wait to try ( all of them). Truffle fries were on point. They use crispy seasoned fries . It's a very clean place to eat. They have a nice selection of ice cream that they make sundaes with. I had the Bronx burger and my wife had the Brooklyn.... My daughter " made " her own.... And our little one had a kids burger. The flavors of all of them with each having a unique tastes is what will keep me from coming back. read more

The burger was excellent (I'm a burger snob)... The portions are super large and very affordable for the price, cheaper than fast food with 200% the qualit and freshness! The wings were super meaty and tasted incredible! The restaurant is spotless when it comes to cleanliness, and the staff are super friendly/ helpful! We ordered to go, and we got the Bronx burger, the Brooklyn burger and the pesto grilled chicken salad. He got curly fries and I got Cajun. Everything was great! Deff a heavy meal; but tasty. The burgers were not overly greasy at all; the patties are thinner so they were a smidge overdone but the whole of it made up for that. Fries are the mealy kind; they reminded me of kettle cooked potato chips in terms of flavor. Not super salty or greasy at all. We both thought they were good. Salad is nice and fresh and a good portion as well, chicken cooked nicely and I liked the lemon dressing. The staff had the order ready quite quickly and were very efficient. Inside is modern, nicely done and looks very new. You can build your own burger as well if you don't like the specials. They have a really wide selection of toppings and ways to make it your own. Not a fan at all. For a burger shack the fry's and burgers should be amazing and they were not. Their website created in 2025 which leads me to believe they are a new establishment , claiming they are dedicated to serving the best burgers in town. I mean I wish that vision statement was true because they may try to be ,but they certainly are not and will not be- especially if they keep on serving-undercooked / mediocre food. The basic frozen fry's they load up your take out container with are certainly nothing to be excited for - neither are the parm truffle fry's which are not worth it at all- Tasting like cheap truffle oil and low quality shaker cheese. If you live in the area and haven't tried their CINNAMON SUGAR FRIES... YOU NEED TO!! This place is awesome! Glad I didn't stop at a big chain burger joint! Burgers are awesome as well! Very unhappy with this place. First time I went there in person and they gave ne the wrong order. I've placed orders through Grubhub and they were still wrong. I ordered a burger well done, and it arrived with no burger on the bun. I also ordered coleslaw from the starters menu which goes for $8.40 and got a small container. well, you can smell meat grease as you approach the place. of course, because it is a burger joint, but it smells like grease not meat. ok past that. inside is barren. not very inviting. the electrical boxes out in the open make it pretty industrial. you dont really get any "vibe" for the place. no personality. the tv had some cops reality show on which didn't help, all you heard was get off me, put your hands up, i didn't do anything etc., not particularly dining entertainment. there were leaves all over the floor that had blown in from outside. what would it take to sweep up a little. now, not a complete loss. the burger was tasty. the bun was toasted maybe with butter and added a nice flavor. the fries were fresh and the onion rings were crispy so all the food was fresh made. the fountain soda was not working yet so you have to choose from bottled drinks. not the end of the world. in the end, it was as good or better than the local diner but, hamburgers are everywhere, they need to step up their game. read more
