Great movers. Tony is friendly, professional, careful, on time, and very helpful they knew what they were doing they moved me and so I referred them to my sister-in-law to move to Nevada and she was happy too! read more

Promise to deliver date was May 1st, then it was May 5th, then it was 7-10 days (which ended up being promised on the 10th which was then switched to the 11th last second again. When they arrived they tried to pass the company off as there contractor "Pegasus Vanlines". Thankfully the workers were complete knobs and accidentally showed me their actual paper work which helped me find this company. On top of it the said my load weighed 3900 lbs which in my experience in moving I knew was dead wrong. They tried charging $2100 for it. When I called them out they gave me attitude and said they measured "cubic metric feet". Couple days later they magically came back with it weighing 3100 which I still don't think it was and the price dropped to $1400. Also I can imagine that some people are in difficult situations and might need to use credit cards. We posted deposit via credit card and for some reason they were only able to take cash which we had to run back out for to get. All of this with twin toddlers that are 3 years old. Long story short we have a civil matter on the way with the company after they overcharged and under delivered with both companies we were dealing with in Pegasus Van lines and more importantly these guys. If anybody has the same issues feel free to reach out at +1 587-400-6338 and you yourself can be walked through the civil process as we are a lawyer family who specializes in civil matters. We can start weeding out the shady practices used in the moving industry. P.S Look at the rest of the reviews and notice how bad they are at making fake reviews. read more

First, let me preface with, we did not use Friendly Movers. Their dishonesty and lack of professionalism prevented us from getting that far thankfully! I came across Friendly Movers Craigslist Ad and thought it sounded fair, honest and to the point. That coupled with stellar Yelp reviews, I quickly recommended them to a friend. Their rate clearly states $60/hour for 2 movers and a 17 foot truck. They said there are no hidden fees or runaround. My friend was quoted $190/hour for 3 movers and $120/hour for 2 movers! See the below photos and you be the judge. Personally, I would steer clear of this false advertisement as it would be very indicative on how they would value your possessions when moving! read more

Great service! We recently hired Friendly Movers to move from a small apartment to a home and we could not have been happier with their service. Pros: Excellent, direct communication. They are totally clear and set expectation and plans transparently. Arrived early. 100% clear on start time. Experienced and prepared for all kinds of moving scenarios. Friendly and efficient. No BS. Additionally, we were still on the clock with a few minutes left in the hour and they helped us move something else (from the garage to the house). That they were willing and upfront about how much time we had left, proved that they are good at what they do and good folks in general. Things to know: Be ready but don't be afraid to ask for their expertise! We would totally use them again and will recommend to our friends. read more

Friendly movers helped with a local move. They were on time, loaded the truck skillfully, and did not touch a wall. We are really happy with the service. read more

We were moving out of a 3rd floor apartment (with elevator) and into a 2nd floor one. It was a local move - 10 miles. The movers arrived on time, and were very professional. Got the job done within 3 hours - and it was a hot day. All our stuff was transported without any damage. I'd say it's a very reasonable service in terms of pricing as well. No hidden charges/taxes. read more

Tony responded quickly from my Yelp Get a Quote. Move date was booked in minutes. Ton's crew showed up on time, communicated the plan of action for delicate items (piano, grandfather clock). They showed genuine care when moving our items out of the house. Tony also fit all the stuff into a storage unit I thought would have been too small. Thank goodness for a professional's perspective! Good guys! read more

We used Tony and his crew for a second move, and the results were just as amazing as the first time we used them. Tony is transparent with his pricing, his guys work really hard and are very friendly, and Tony is an expert packer (in terms of maximizing space). Would very highly recommend. read more

Friendly movers truly earned their name. Tony and his team were responsive, professional, thoughtful, and time conscious. Tony was transparent about the pricing and even announced when the stopwatch was beginning. No hidden fees. A simple two hour minimum and an hourly fee for every hour thereafter. Tony, hopefully I'm not moving anytime soon, but if I do you'll be the first person I call! Jasmine read more

My wife and I reached out to friendly movers a few months ago to help us with moving our furnitures from a one bedroom to a 2 bedroom. The service was absolutely wonderful! After communicating via message with Tony and sending a few pictures of our larger items, we agreed on a time. The crew arrived exactly on time and set straight to work. They were very friendly and took good care of our belongings. Overall a great experience! read more

seriously thank you to Tony and crew for making my move as easy possible: I have been living a moving/ life nightmare when I had 1 week to move out. Thank you for taking care of everything making the move easy and having that relief of knowing all will be ok. They were VERY fast and efficient. Tony you're awesome (and your coworker I forgot his name!) moved my 3 bedroom apartment in 2-3 hours including travel time to the location of where my stuff was going. I will use them again for my next move. They traveled to the east bay for me and I had no idea they were coming all the way from RWC. Thank you for making my nightmare transition much smoother. ( no this isn't an ad or a fake review btw!! I've gotten in trouble (mini- trouble - I mean the yelp police weren't called thank god ) with this company we call yelp before so lesson learned ) hahaha read more

Tony and his team were great. Hired them to move a 1-bedroom apartment about 20 miles. Tony came to monitor his team of two movers and a 17-foot truck, took less than three hours total. They were efficient, friendly, and reasonably priced. Will definitely use them again. read more

These guys are great! Tony and his helper (sorry I forgot your name) were awesome the entire time, very professional. We moved our two bedroom condo on 3/15, he arrived early and didn't waste any time getting our things packed up. The poor guys had to walk up and down three stories, they didn't complain once. Nothing was damaged, not even a scratch on any furniture. I'd use these guys again in a heart beat. Very highly recommended!!! read more

Tony and his crew were very helpful for our move back in May. Very affordable compared to most movers in the area. They worked really hard and were able to move all of our heavy furniture. I would highly recommend their services! We will book with Tony for our next move. read more

Tony and his team helped me move storage units. They were on time, very careful with my fragile antiques, large furniture and other items. In addition, they helped me move some items back into my apartment and THEN, they helped me drop off a bunch of stuff to donate to the thrift store. I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat. Great service! read more

Tony and Justin were just amazing. They were very fast and meticulous with their work. Friendly is an understatement with these guys. They were very careful with our things and made sure all our fragile belongings would be safe and unbroken with the move. We were surprised by the speed that they were able to move all our stuff. The next time we move (hopefully not in a while) we will definitely get tony and co to help us move. read more

I highly recommend Friendly Movers. Tony and his partner Will were not only on time, but early. The move was smooth, quick and very reasonably priced. Tony is personable, strong and caring. They were a great team. Tony was also responsive to my calls, texts and emails in coordinating this move. I couldn't be happier with their service. Perfection! read more

Tony and his two employees did an awesome job with our move. They went above and beyond, by letting us use the time we had left, with moving some boxes in the house that were stored in an outer shed. They moved efficiently and quietly. Very professional and very personable. There were no hidden costs. The price was the price! We would highly recommend them using them. read more

We really appreciate their careful service. We moved from 1 bed room to 2 bed room. We hired 3 people and it took 4 hours from Burlingame to Woodside. It was a bit difficult moving because our both apartments have a tiny elevator and our units were far from the entrance, but they handled it as fast as they could and as careful as they could. read more

Fast, very careful, extremely hard working, organized and - guess what - friendly! The pricing was completely transparent: for two movers they charged $260 for the first two hours + $60 for each additional hour started. No additional charges whatsoever (mileage, fuel, etc). read more

I recently hired Friendly Movers to relocate my belongings from a shipping facility in San Jose to my new apartment half an hour away. Having just loaded all of my stuff on a truck without the help of a moving company a few days prior, I can say with certainty that Tony and his partner were professionals and definitely knew what they were doing. They were efficient but also careful and took the time to protect my furniture and boxes during the loading and unloading processes. They arrived on time (in fact a few minutes earlier than agreed upon) and finished in 2 hours, including travel time. I booked an appointment the day before and they fit me into the schedule without any issue. The whole experience was about as pleasant as moving can be, and the cost really seemed reasonable. I would highly recommend Friendly Movers for professional moving help in the Bay Area. read more

They showed up a bit early, and handled the move very quickly and efficiently. Friendly, good communication, would hire again.

With so many different moving companies out there I took a chance on Friendly Movers on a recent move from Modesto to San Jose and couldn't be happier with the great service I received. They arrived promptly at agreed upon time and worked efficiently and carefully. There were no hidden fees or horror stories that I've heard about from other companies. I didn't hesitate to rehire him 2 weeks later to move my belongings from my storage to my new apt. Tony and his staff were a good bunch of hardworking guys. Do not hesitate to use them for your next move. read more

I am really very happy with Friendly Movers, Tony and his helper Bill were excellent today. I had to move just one bedroom in Redwood City to my already disorganized storage. Tony saw my storage space previously and told me that they will organize it so my other stuff can fit perfectly and they worked fast, efficiently and they used the space of my storage efficiently that also left me room for more stuff that my daughter needs to fit in there. I will have to move South California in a couple of months and for sure they will be in charge of my move. I trully recommend these guys and I can say they are very honest, professional and careful with my stuff. read more

Tony and Sam were awesome! They were promt and proffesional and were able to move some very awkward items. I was impressed by the care they took with our items and the houses both on move out, and move in. Highly recomend them. read more

Excellent job moving an extremely heavy and large item up stairs with narrow turns. Were careful, quick, and effective. Other movers I contacted were intimidated by the task, but friendly movers brought 4 guys that steamrolled through it. read more

I moved on December 1st and had only two weeks to pack and my house was a disaster. Friendly Movers gave me a reasonable quote, but be warned if you use the yelp system to request the quote as it leaves off valuable information. Double check and confirm by phone! The yelp system didn't give them my note about needing additional wardrobe boxes or racks. They only brought two with them and I have a massive wardrobe (they asked if I work in fashion LOL but I'm just an enthusiast). They arrived 30 minutes early, so I hadn't packed up my kitchen yet. I figured it was best to just get going and they did. It took a few minutes for them to game plan but once they did the rest happened fairly quickly. I have a little pug who can be underfoot and I tried to keep him with me at all times but the guys didn't seem to mind him one bit. They never said a thing or made me feel ashamed of my messy house (it was really bad y'all). While they worked I packed my kitchen and in the end it was all said and done (in-law unit in Redwood City moved to 1 bedroom apartment in San Jose) in just under 3 hours. The last movers I used charged $200 more than Friendly and they stole my weed. Friendly movers really are friendly! I never felt uncomfortable alone with the 3 men who moved my stuff and they were all polite. The moment they opened the truck in front of my new place I swear every cloud in the sky burst open, but they didn't pause, they kept at it! I'm very grateful for their quick turn around and patience. read more

We had a piece of furniture delivered to our driveway that was more than we could manage trying to move it into our house. Friendly Movers worked with us to schedule a next day appointment. Tony and two movers had the item in our house, in place, in no time. They were careful, professional and very friendly! Very reasonably priced too. We'd definitely use them again. read more

Super professional moving company! Moved my entire studio worth of furniture from the top of a super steep hill with ease. They arrived 10 min early to assess the property to see the best methods of moving the furniture. In all what would have taken me a day or more to move took them 2 hrs. I would highly recommend friendly movers to anyone needing a in town move. Would definitely be using them again. read more

Couldn't have asked for more from Tony! I contacted him with less than 24 hours notice and he was able to make my short, small move happen in two hours. Moved less than a one-bedroom apartment (mattress and 15-20 boxes to UHaul and packed my UBox). Tony is very flexible and personable. Can't thank you enough, Tony! read more

Tony and his guys at Friendly Movers are amazing. They were punctual, super professional and very friendly, would highly recommend. I consider myself a Tetris expert and was in awe of their ability to pack our home safely, securely and as efficiently as possible. They were able to move all of our belongings and furniture at a great and reasonable price, even up a flight of tricky stairs. Thanks Tony! read more

Tony is an absolute wizard when it comes to figuring out how to get furniture in and out of spaces. His guys were all very polite and took excellent care. He brings all the manpower you need for a job and his prices are very clear and straightforward. We hired him to move us from our old home to a temporary rental, then again from the rental to our newly purchased family home. I had not thought about how we would get a bunk bed and a full queen bedroom set up a tiny set of stairs in our rental. Luckily, Tony and his guys have seen it all before and got the job done. read more

Friendly Movers did a great job for my 1-bedroom move down one flight of stairs and up two. They showed up an hour early (after calling ahead to make sure that was okay). They were well prepared with the right tools to deconstruct and reconstruct my bed and to take down my TV wall mount. Like their name says, they were very friendly too. I would absolutely hire them again. read more
