I really wanted a female Maltipoo so I did my research and found Friendly Acre Farms with mostly positive results. I could have bought one here in town from a private party for $500 but I thought paying more for a caring, knowledgeable Breeder was the safer way to go. After a few confusing phone calls with Sarah, I made the 120 mile drive to pick up my 11 week old (f) Maltipoo. Prior to picking her up, Sarah's stories kept changing slightly but nothing of major concern. She had been very busy with her church that week and maybe forgot what she had last told me. Keep in mind I don't know much about the business of Breeding. I have been a small dog owner for many years but that's it. I'm a little bit relying on Sarah's expertise. I arrived at Friendly Acre Farms and Sarah came out with my puppy. We talked for 5 minutes or so, I quickly signed some papers, she gave us some dog food and that was it. I just assumed if I needed anything more she would be available on Instagram, DM, or phone. Due to the Thanksgiving holiday my vet was able to see her within 2 weeks. I put her on the Puppy Health Plan, she weighed in at 2.9 lb and looked great. I shared the vaccine record Sarah gave me that only had 3 vaccine stickers on it and no signatures. Sarah had verbally informed me she had all her Parvo shots and should be safe in 10 days after the last shot. Luckily the vet was able to correct that statement. She won't be safe from contracting Parvo for another 4-6 week, once the vet administers her vaccines. I got the impression the vet can't rely on the stickers on her shot record since the shot record was not signed by a vet. Also DOB was incorrect and I had to DM Sarah for that. No other info was completed by Sarah's vet so I'm assuming Sarah never had her seen by a vet?? I don't really know. She verbally told me the mother was 8-10 lb and Father was 5 lb. That's all I received from Sarah for $2,500. That part is all ok really because I let it all happen. I should have known to ask more questions. My vet spoke with me about the dog food Sarah had her on. She said there is a concern by the FDA that grain free food is causing heart problems in young dogs so she asked me to wean her off. I sent a DM to Sarah as heads up since this FDA investigation is fairly new (2023) and she may not be aware. Sarah had not heard about it and was defensive as if I was accusing her of something but I finally got her to understand I was simply sharing information with her. Nothing else. One week later I took my puppy back for a second vet visit. This time she received Shots, DNA/ genetic analysis and fecal exam. One week later my vet called to inform me her lab results indicate she has Giardia, a parasite found in drinking water and dirty kennels. Medication was ordered and hopefully she can clear the parasite from her tiny body. So far she is asymptomatic. My first thought was why didn't Sarah mention this? I would have told my vet immediately had I known. So I sent a DM to Sarah and she said Yes, she knew my puppy had Giardia and she had treated her for it. She said all her dogs are treated for this and other parasites. I asked did you retest to see if it cleared? No answer to that specific question. Sarah started quoting the papers I signed when I picked her up. My concern was the lack of honesty, her concern was that she wasn't responsible. Honesty wasn't listed in her paperwork. Why didn't she tell me this? Was I supposed to know? Then she tells me I can bring my dog back?????? WHAT??? She finally apologized and said she forgot to inform me. Anyway after a few more DM of her pointing the finger at me, I ended with, I just want the truth about my puppy because now I don't know what else my dog may have. I told her I thought she was a bad breeder. I was mad. She blocked me from her Instagram. How silly is that. The moral to this story is listen to your intuition. I knew something wasn't right from the beginning. At the end of the day, my family and I love our new puppy, in sickness and health. For her sake I hope she remains healthy. read more

My f1b minigoldendoodle pup is from one of Sarah's litters born in late November 2018. When we picked him up, it was obvious that he and his siblings were very well taken care of. The area that they were kept in was so clean and so was he. When he was checked by the vet, he came back in perfect health with no parasites or any other issues. He ended up being a little larger than we thought but I am happy he is! He turned out to be around 27lbs. He is the absolute BEST pup ever. We got Lola (our F1B goldendoodle) in November 2015. She was 5 months old. This was after we got Chase, our yellow lab (retired from breeding) and my in laws got Sophie (also a goldendoodle) in 2013 from Sarah. Sarah was friendly, the kennels were kept clean and the puppies all seemed very energetic and happy. We chose Lola for her laid back demeanor....and we chose right. She is the perfect pet. Great with our other adult dogs and 2 cats....plus we just added a Portuguese Water Dog puppy to the mix and she's enjoying her like she's a puppy again. We really want to Praise Sarah and her Farm of puppies. We just went up this past weekend and purchased 3 different puppies for 3 different family members. 1 Multipoo, 1 GoldenDoodle and 1 AussieDoodle. There are not enough good things to say about Calvin, our Standard Goldendoodle puppy. He is intelligent, well-mannered, perfectly healthy, and absolutely adorable! After referring a friend to this breeder, I thought I might look her up and see what other people were saying. 1 review and a bad experience. I would like to add my two cents. I am an experienced Golden retriever owner, three over 22 years, all purchased from some of the best breeders in the country at top dollar. After many years of heartbreak dealing with horrific allergies, thyroid problems, bad hips, cancer and brain tumors, I decided to go for a doodle. I shopped the market and found people were asking exorbitant amounts of money for these so called 'designer' dogs. The first most important point here is these dogs are mutts, no matter what designer name you attach to it. I was not so stupid as many are to pay 1500-2500 for what realistically is a mutt. I then located Sarah and visited her kennels and purchased what might be the best dog I have ever owned at a very fair price. Yes, I too never received papers, but what good would they have done me. I wanted them merely to complete my puppy book with photos and pedigrees, something I have done for all my dogs. These dogs are not register able with any legitimate breed registry. Sure there are a few self made registries by the very people breeding these dogs, but still useless in any form of governance over the dogs registered. If you want it for breeding purposes pay 3000.00 and I'm sure you'll be provided with all the necessary documents. Just remember the pups you breed will be no more register able than the one you bought to begin with. As to health guarantees.... To assume a 'reputable' breeder will pay your vet bills or any portion of them is fairly inaccurate. All three of my Goldens came with those guarantees. None included the breeder paying for anything. The deal was always, if a problem developed i had the right to return the dog during the first two years. I know of very few people willing to return a much loved member of the family after two years. To those of you banking on that, you need to educate yourselves to reality. My advice to any puppy buyer is this. Understand that a puppy is a commitment, regardless of it's origins, it's breeding or it's guarantees. They are no more predictable than a human being. Yes there are ways to breed out bad inherent qualities but believe me no guarantees. Hips for example is an easy one. If you buy a puppy whose parents both have "excellent" hips, there is still a 25% chance of your puppy developing hip dysplasia. Take it to the vet in the first week, any problems, return it before you or your kids fall in love. Beyond that, buy Pet Insurance, Healthy Paws" is the best and love it as much as a child and remember they never will live long enough to not break your heart when their time is up. read more

We bought a male maltipoo puppy from Sarah about a year ago. He is incredibly smart (learned quickly to ring a bell when he needs to go potty, and fully housetrained within a few weeks) so healthy, and has an adorable, fun personality. Perfect with kids, right from the beginning -- even our rambunctious 5-year-old. It's obvious that Sarah puts a lot of love and care into producing healthy, well-adjusted puppies. Ted is very calm , self controlled and happy 15 months doodle who loves play ball and spend time hanging out with his parents . He have been very good in staying in his cannel and even wakes us up in the middle of a night when he has an emergency . I purchased Stanley, a labradoodle, from the Peaster family 8 years ago, and he is by far the best dog I've ever had. He is gentle, has a calm and lovable temperament, and is 100% reliably wonderful around children, the elderly, the neighbors, everyone he meets. I take him as part of the SPCA pet outreach program to visit nursing homes and hospitals, and he is everyone's favorite. I bring him to my classroom (I teach high school) and my students love him. A local preschool asks for him to visit. Subaru asked to use him on their webpage. He generates conversation and friendships everywhere he goes, and is a reason many of my friends have gotten labradoodles or goldendoodles. Seriously, this dog is amazing. As Stanley has aged, he has developed some arthritis and doesn't bound as freely at the dog park. He is a serious food-aholic and thinks canned green beans are doggie crack, but he loves all fruits and vegies and whatever else he can steal off the counter. More than once I've come home to find him gnawing on a sweet potato or apple he has managed to find, and there are buried treasures of a food nature hidden all over my yard and under sofa cushions and beds. He is so precious, it is hard to get too angry with his misbehavior. I will be devastated when Stanley crosses the rainbow bridge, but wouldn't hesitate to get another puppy from this family. read more

Our family recently adopted the most delightful Maltipoo puppy from Friendly Acre Farms. We simply cannot say enough good things about Sarah, Luke and the Peaster family. They made this experience easy, and I cannot imagine a more adorable, sweet tempered, playful puppy than ours. From day one, Sarah answered every question, sent videos, pictures, and promptly and thoroughly communicated with our family about every aspect of this process. While generally puppies are available at 8 weeks, we had to wait until 12 due to a prearranged summer vacation. During this time, Sarah was able to board our puppy, and sent e-mail, picture and video updates. We felt like we already knew our puppy before he even arrived. As we saw in the video, the Peaster family plays with these puppies and treats them as their own during the time they are with them. I am 100% certain that our puppy has such a lovely disposition because the first 12 weeks of his life were spent in the Peaster household. We live in Las Vegas, and therefore our puppy flew here. The Peasters completely accommodated the flight times we requested, and the pick-up was simple and easy. We have had Our Golden Doodle "Fozzie" for a little over 2 years now and I feel the need to write a review for the first time ever, about anything. My wife and I have had dogs the entire 34 years of our marriage. Usually Golden Retrievers or Labs. Most of them have been great dogs. Fozzie is the happiest most intelligent and caring dog we have ever experienced. He's not just a pet, he's a real member of our family. When we first brought him home he had trouble eating. We later discovered that his teeth were slower coming in than the rest of the litter. Sarah offered to take him back until he was eating properly, but there was no way we were letting go of this little guy. Sarah kept in touch and guided us through those first couple weeks. There was no way Sarah could have known of Fozzie's problem prior to us taking him home. I must say that she did everything in her power to take care of us. We have referred many friends and people who just stop us on the street to find out what that beautiful dog is, then they find out he doesn't shed and they want to know where we got him. read more

Buyer Beware - Puppy Mill/Back Yard Breeder. I am writing this review with the hope that no one else has to undergo what I recently did with this "breeder". My wife found Friendly Acre Farms online advertising Cockapoos from AKC registered parents for $1000.00. We saw many other adds for dogs in the $500 range but decided to look first at this breeder because it seemed on the surface like they cared about what they were producing. The puppy we choose was the last dog left from a litter and during the purchase I asked for a copy of the parents pedigree's. Sarah informed me that while she had the fathers pedigree, the mothers was still in the prior owners name, and that she hadn't transferred it to hers because she was afraid that the AKC would frown on the fact that they were breeding designer breeds..ok, didn't make much sense to me, but what do I know. Unfortunately, I was in a rush because I had my 1 year old and 3 year old in the car waiting and thinking this would be just a formality I asked her to email or fax them to me that evening. When we arrived home my wife emailed Sarah asking for the documents and that began a week long ordeal of being ignored until I final threatened to reverse the charge on my credit card if she didn't respond. Of course we got a sob story that she was dealing with a whelping mother and that she never had a customer be so difficult before??? They advertise AKC parents they should be able to produce the docs" and when I pointed out that the story didn't match up, because there website has the AKC logo on it and tons of text on all her XXXpoo's. She changed her story that she thought we might be trying to breed the dog and she wanted to discourage that by not providing the pedigrees... Of course she provides, no contract of any sort, and the health guarantee is a joke, because when I took the dog to my vet I was told the puppy had luxating patella's and while a reputable breeder would have had the puppy checked by the vet and this would be disclosed at the time of the sale she then asked for the Vet report and xrays and when I sent it she pointed to the fact that the vet indicated it was common in these breeds and the dog "might" grow out of it. Regardless, the dog has a genetic defect and is not worth the price of a defect free dog. Of course she offered for me to return the dog for a refund less $30.00 service fee but then I would have to drive 250 miles back to their farm and deal with an emotionally traumatized child by pulling away his puppy a week after he got it. Wouldn't the right thing to do in this case be to offer a partial refund for a "pet quality dog" to the original purchaser? Apparently they didn't think so and I would imagine would prefer for me to give the dog back so they can sell it to someone else for $1000.00 and try to avoid having me post a negative review. Honestly, I wish they would have considered how bad they had serviced us and the frustration their little lies caused us. I would not be writing this today if they would have responded in the way a reputable breeder would have. So I have decided to keep the dog and do what I can to keep it healthy. I don't expect this breeder to do the right thing at any time in regard to this condition, or helping with the vet bills associated with this condition, and would caution anyone from buying a dog from them. They are clearly in it for the money and looking to churn as many dogs out as fast as possible without concern for the quality of the puppy or experience of the customer. If I could give Sarah Peaster and friendly acre farms no stars I would!! We purchased our male f1b Goldendoodle from Sarah in November of 2014. I remember my last question was, "how are his ears?" She was still holding him and said, "they are a little smelly, probably just need to be cleaned" when we got home we took a look at his ears and couldn't believe the inflammation and infection in them. Especially the left ear. When we took him to the vet she explained that his ear infection was very severe, more so in his left ear. He had three treatments to fully resolve that ear infection. Although it didn't last long, he has had many many ear infections no matter how diligent we are with cleaning. In addition he has horrible allergies to almost all dog foods other than two kinds with limited ingredients. The vet also informed us that he had an undescended testicle. The surgery to neuter him was more invasive and expensive than it should have been because of the testicles. Around 11 months he was diagnosed with Osteochondritis Dissecans which is when the cartilage grows abnormally and on our dog, a flap grew which causes severe pain and lameness when in motion. This is in his left shoulder. This poor guy wasn't even a year and has had so many issues. He just had surgery on his left shoulder yesterday and will be recovering from it for over a month. I have emailed Sarah Peaster multiple times and she has not responded to me. When we initially found out about the ear infections and the testicle she did respond to that email. Her response was, "yes, thanks for letting me know. I will check Bailey out." Bailey was the last dog of that litter mind you. Bailey and my dog were around 16weeks old and were the only two left. I can't help but wonder what the reason is that he was still there. Needless to say, Sarah Peaster doesn't care about the dogs she breeds or how she breeds them. To her it's anything to get paid. Goldendoodle's are very expensive and her price was no different, so considering how much we paid for this dog, this is completely unacceptable. I would urge everyone to STAY AWAY from Sarah and Luke Peaster and their business FRIENDLY ACRE FARMS. Our dogs shoulder surgery yesterday was 2,900$ alone Not including the countless times we've had to take him to the vet for severe allergies, recurrent ear infections, pain in the shoulder for meds before we could afford surgery, and the difficult neuter. THIS DOG SHOULD HAVE NEVER HAD TO ENDURE THIS. read more
