I enjoy their knowledge of what foods are best for my dog and cats. Thanks Armstrongs (and Will also) Visited today with questions about what kind of food were the last few purchases of dog food. Alex checked. Ok. Told him my dog was experiencing a lot of itching lately. We discussed all options and then he asked if I fed her "people" food and I had to admit a few times. A piece of my peanut butter and jelly toast. Oops. We Agreed that might be the trouble. I bought my regular dog food. Also some peanut butter tasting snacks. I know in my heart that is the problem. I'll stop those snacks and replace with the new ones. Which, by the way, I tested the minute I got home. My dog loved them.

Dr.Klingborg is fantastic. Just had another visit with him yesterday. He mentioned he read a lady…read moregave him a bad review because she didn't like that he felt her dog wasn't in the mood for its visit and was showing that it might bite. Apparently by this she felt he didn't have confidence in handling dogs. Hogwash and poppycock. Handling dogs is no task for him. I have 3 pitbulls and a carin terrier, he does fine. The largest of my dogs had a blood draw yesterday, she was scared to death. I asked how he knew she wouldn't bite (even tho I knew she wouldn't cuz shes my dog and I know her) and he explained he could read the difference between a dog that will bite out of fear and one that won't; hence how the discussion of the other persons review came up. I was pleased to learn he actually cares enough to read his reviews. I will say that not everything has been my favorite along the way: some tension over me not wanting to fix my dog (I hate tension and also don't want to be pressured to do things...also don't know why they were pushing so hard but whatever), & particular front desk staff that were not doing him any favors, to put it nicely. However, the first issue eventually subsided and during my visit yesterday it seems there have been some changes to the desk staff which is great. They were friendly and welcoming rather than acting like you're annoying them by existing. Even though it was busy the desk staff took time to visit or at least greet the waiting room dogs and owners, they checked in when there was a delay in back so that the customer (I) didn't feel forgotten about, they were very friendly. It's important, I think, to make the customer feel they are appreciated and "a piece of the pie" for lack of a better way to put it; no one likes to feel like just another dollar walking through the door, nor like it is a bother that they are even there at all. Yesterday was fantastic in that regard. Another of my dogs is a cardiac patient at UC Davis. At Davis, there are 2 cardiologist that approach my dog's care in very different ways, one is her actual doctor and the other isn't for a reason. Dr.Klingborg's approach to that same dog's care is like that of her actual cardiologist, which speaks volumes. I would recommend Dr.Klingborg to anyone. I don't know anything about the other doctors in Klingborg's practice. A few tips though: * if your dog needs the cone of shame, it would probably be wise to get it elsewhere, they're expensive here in my opinion * wouldn't recommend leaving your pet overnight as there is no overnight staff * if your dog isn't fixed you're gonna get an earful

He was fine with my puppy (she was a small…read morebreed and clearly not a chihuahua) but He traumatized my sister's puppy because a "2lbs chihuahua needs to be dominated". Mind you, she's the sweetest thing ever and has never bit or showed aggression to anyone. He threw her on her back and she peed and pooped all over. He was mad she got poop on him and left very mad. I don't understand why this man thinks it's okay to abuse and traumatize chihuahuas because he doesn't like them. She never once tried to bite him. She has sadly passed (lived a long beautiful life and never saw this dude again) but she never recovered from this. If you have a very clearly chihuahua dog, please consider a different vet. He'll also wait years to reply to the review and lie about the entire situation. Wonderful man, let me tell ya!!

I really wanted a female Maltipoo so I did my research and found Friendly Acre Farms with mostly…read morepositive results. I could have bought one here in town from a private party for $500 but I thought paying more for a caring, knowledgeable Breeder was the safer way to go. After a few confusing phone calls with Sarah, I made the 120 mile drive to pick up my 11 week old (f) Maltipoo. Prior to picking her up, Sarah's stories kept changing slightly but nothing of major concern. She had been very busy with her church that week and maybe forgot what she had last told me. Keep in mind I don't know much about the business of Breeding. I have been a small dog owner for many years but that's it. I'm a little bit relying on Sarah's expertise. I arrived at Friendly Acre Farms and Sarah came out with my puppy. We talked for 5 minutes or so, I quickly signed some papers, she gave us some dog food and that was it. I just assumed if I needed anything more she would be available on Instagram, DM, or phone. Due to the Thanksgiving holiday my vet was able to see her within 2 weeks. I put her on the Puppy Health Plan, she weighed in at 2.9 lb and looked great. I shared the vaccine record Sarah gave me that only had 3 vaccine stickers on it and no signatures. Sarah had verbally informed me she had all her Parvo shots and should be safe in 10 days after the last shot. Luckily the vet was able to correct that statement. She won't be safe from contracting Parvo for another 4-6 week, once the vet administers her vaccines. I got the impression the vet can't rely on the stickers on her shot record since the shot record was not signed by a vet. Also DOB was incorrect and I had to DM Sarah for that. No other info was completed by Sarah's vet so I'm assuming Sarah never had her seen by a vet?? I don't really know. She verbally told me the mother was 8-10 lb and Father was 5 lb. That's all I received from Sarah for $2,500. That part is all ok really because I let it all happen. I should have known to ask more questions. My vet spoke with me about the dog food Sarah had her on. She said there is a concern by the FDA that grain free food is causing heart problems in young dogs so she asked me to wean her off. I sent a DM to Sarah as heads up since this FDA investigation is fairly new (2023) and she may not be aware. Sarah had not heard about it and was defensive as if I was accusing her of something but I finally got her to understand I was simply sharing information with her. Nothing else. One week later I took my puppy back for a second vet visit. This time she received Shots, DNA/ genetic analysis and fecal exam. One week later my vet called to inform me her lab results indicate she has Giardia, a parasite found in drinking water and dirty kennels. Medication was ordered and hopefully she can clear the parasite from her tiny body. So far she is asymptomatic. My first thought was why didn't Sarah mention this? I would have told my vet immediately had I known. So I sent a DM to Sarah and she said Yes, she knew my puppy had Giardia and she had treated her for it. She said all her dogs are treated for this and other parasites. I asked did you retest to see if it cleared? No answer to that specific question. Sarah started quoting the papers I signed when I picked her up. My concern was the lack of honesty, her concern was that she wasn't responsible. Honesty wasn't listed in her paperwork. Why didn't she tell me this? Was I supposed to know? Then she tells me I can bring my dog back?????? WHAT??? She finally apologized and said she forgot to inform me. Anyway after a few more DM of her pointing the finger at me, I ended with, I just want the truth about my puppy because now I don't know what else my dog may have. I told her I thought she was a bad breeder. I was mad. She blocked me from her Instagram. How silly is that. The moral to this story is listen to your intuition. I knew something wasn't right from the beginning. At the end of the day, my family and I love our new puppy, in sickness and health. For her sake I hope she remains healthy.

I used this cremation service a few years ago for my cat, and to this day the experience still…read morehaunts me. When I picked up my cat's ashes, I was given the wrong collar back. When I questioned it, the woman working there argued with me and insisted it was his -- but it wasn't even the same color. My cat's actual collar was never found. This left me with deep doubts about whether the ashes I received were even my cat's. If such a basic and important detail could be mixed up, how can I trust that there wasn't a larger mistake? Losing a pet is heartbreaking enough, but this added an entirely new layer of grief and distrust. I would not recommend this place. If you want true peace of mind, I suggest looking outside the area for cremation services or considering burial, so you can be certain you're receiving your pet back and not left with painful doubts.
