Took my dog there about 4 times & have had decent experiences with grooming except for this last time. Tracey never called us to pick up our dog. My past experiences have always been a call or text . It's always been over 8 hrs. My daughter said she picked up her dog at 10pm one time. They kept having her come back after dropping him off at 9am. My husband was worried because it was getting close to closing time. So he drove down and picked up our dog. He said that when he walked in the lady was laughing, and he was a little nervous as to why. She said that the dog had been ready for a long time. He was upset with our dogs cut because it was awfully short, not what we asked for, his hair is choppy jagged and long in certain areas. It looks like they cut his hair in a hurry. He looks like a bald lion. She said that his collar caused matting on his neck and she had to cut it super short. That was not true because we just purchased the collar. Anyway, when I got him out of his kennel this morning. he smelled as if he never even took a bath. My husband is disappointed and does not want to take him back. Several times that I've gone in to the shop it has smelled like marijuana. I think that's unprofessional for business practices and no wonder our dog came out the way he did probably too high to concentrate. I have been going to Lisa's pet styles for the last 6 years and for good reason. Our stylist Nicole has always gone above and beyond for all of mine and my mothers dogs, who I've also brought in. Huskys, poodles, and lab mixes, all taken care of and with no complaints. It hurts me to give even one star! We made an appointment. Yes, an appointment! He was there at 9:00 am. We were told he would be ready in 2 to 4 hours and they would call us. Firstly we didn't receive a call. We returned at almost 2:00 pm. That is well over the maximum time THEY indicated it would take. When we arrived to see if he was ready, the groomer was still working on him!! When she handed him over to us, he was still damp! And, the cut was atrocious! She didn't clip the head at all, but where the head and neck meet, the line is jagged and chopped! She left tufts of hair in the navel area 1 1/2 to 2 inches long. His legs have tufts of hair sticking out all over. She didn't clip around the bum, or any of the tail! We have taken Dexter to groomers for years and he ALWAYS came home beautiful, looking like a puppy. The woman that clipped him is a terrible groomer!! I have taken my dog there about 8 years now and Andrea was his groomer and she was great. Also the groomer who took over grooming Cash when Andrea moved, was really good too. I took my boy in today and since Andrea isnt there anymore i got a different groomer and i cant remember her name. So im going to refer to her as Her. I am absolutly pissed with "Her" for a few reasons and none of them are frivolous complaints. So i get Cash home and set him down and i notice he wont put any weight on his right front paw. Upon examining his foot its very apparent what is causing him pain. His middle nail was cut past the quick ( the nerve) it is also obious that it was bleeding as well.Cash has very clear nails and its easy to see where the nerves are in the nails so there is no excuse for cutting that nail that short. But most and worst of all, There in NO F'ing excuse to, not only hurting my dog, but then to not be perfessional enough to tell me about it. Not a word! No apology! Nothing! No i have find out about it by seeing my dog in pain and not bearing weight on it. I tried to call even tho it was after 5 when i got home from picking Cash up because they use to have a voicemail to be able to leave messages, so its no wonder why they shut their phones off completely. I really am disappointed and that groomer shouldnt be cutting pets nails if she doesnt know how. She should be ashamed for not telling me she caused him trauma and chose to not be a professional or even a decent person and take responsibilty for the careless mistake. I certainly wouldnt have given her a $20 tip. So, really, thanks for making grooming appointments even more of a scary place for my sweet boy to have to go. I will not be going back there ever again and im going to make sure the nearly 30 people that i know who take their dogs there know about this so they can avoid having what happened to Cash done to their dogs. What was once a great, trustworthy, dog friendly, ethically professional place where one could be comfortable leaving their best friends for a few hours, is no longer the same safe place. Last thing i want to say is, if they have no problem causing real trauma to a pet and not inform the pets owner about what had happened, then there is no telling what other horrible things are being done to our dogs that we wont ever know about unless our dogs have physical evidence that something tramatic happened. If it gets infected and or it doesnt get better in a day or two i will take him to the vet and if they dont offer to pay the vet bill then i will file suit. Had they been decent and told me that an accident had happened even if it was cash making it hard for her to cut his nails, i wouldve understood and i wouldnt be writing this, no, its the not informing me that a mistake was made which caused my dog pain and caused him to bleed, its the complete unprofessional cowardly way you handled things that if he needs to be seen by a vet and you dont offer to pay the bill is why i will go to greater lengths i.e law suit Couldnt be any more pissed and disgusted with the unethical and unperfessionalism at that shop these days. Do not bring your family pets to this groomer. I had booked an appointment well in advance, almost a month out. I brought my dog "Chicken" for a groom and nail trim. What I got was the worst cut I have ever seen. They should be embarrassed. I dropped my dog off at 11 am, only to be told 2 to 4 hours. Okay, I can live with that. But I called at 3:30 and she said they needed 45 more minutes. Why? Probably because they shoved him in a kennel and forgot about him. He looks horrible. We asked for a Mohawk. Before today's experience, I would've given a decent review. We've been using this business for about two years, since moving to Turlock, for our two Maltese mix dogs. I know some people have their "usual" groomer--We don't. We basically take the first available appointment (which let me tell you is always pretty far out). They have all done a good job, so it doesn't really matter which one we get for that particular visit. Until today, we have always paid the same price too, regardless of who does the grooming. It has ALWAYS been $45 each unless the dogs are matted and have to be cut shorter than usual, which sometimes happens. I understand the extra charge in that case. Today, however, my husband got a call that the dogs were ready and given a price of $130-wtf? It's normally about $90. When he picked them up, he asked why the price was so much higher. The groomer (I believe her name is Faye) said that her "base price" is $60 and she charged an extra $5 each because the dogs were "a little extra wiggly today." Are you f'n kidding me? First of all, no other groomer there has charged her own special "base price." It's always been the same, and we've had several different groomers. Who know they did that? Not us. Second of all, our dogs have been getting groomed their entire lives and we have NEVER been told they were an issue. They are 10 and 8 years old for gods sake. They're not puppies. I highly doubt they were that energetic, especially since this is routine for them. And then BOTH of them were coincidentally wiggly the same day when they'd never be wiggly before? I get that times are tough but come on. Sounds like a scam to me. Speaking of scams, this place is cash only, which is not only inconvenient but screams "tax evasion" to me. We've been satisfied with the dogs grooming/haircuts, but we will not be back to this place due to their shady practices. read more

Very disappointed in this salon's professionalism and animal care. It was my first ever visit/service and I had to bring my cat from Merced to Turlock, I dropped off my cat at 10:45 AM. They couldn't find me in the system, the receptionist didn't schedule my appointment even though I called them last week to make my appointment. Then the owner just kept bragging about how she was on HBO (even gave me a newspaper with her face on it that was from January smh), the pricing (very expensive $85-$150 depending on severity of mats on my cat) that she'll take care of my cat. I didn't hear anything from them after I dropped off my cat, so I called them at 2:00 no answer left a voicemail and no call back. Then I called at 2:45 and the receptionist picked up the phone and then I was told that they got a "curveball/swamped" and haven't started on my cat. I ended up having a bad feeling after reading the reviews on here, so I ended up not doing the service and picked up my cat. When I brought him back to my office he darted out of the carrier so I'm assuming that they didn't even take my cat out of the crate and left them him in there for 4 hours with no food or water. I don't recommend this place at all if you're looking for cat grooming services. read more

A shift....Erica has been my go to gal, however there has been a change. Please make sure you are knowledgeable about your breed or you may receive a "professional" opinion that is not in your pets best interest, but fits in what they have "time for." Just like many things in our society your pet may become a part of that ever streaming factory line, get them in and out. So here is what happened, I brought my Great Pyrenees in one month ago, my appointment didnt make it into their scheduling system. I understand things happen and life gets busy, I rescheduled and brought her in. I explained my request as Erica was not in yet, with a response if she will call you if she has questions. As I was getting ready to leave, Erica walked in, she and the previous girl went behind the door to speak and Erica came out stating she was so matted she would need to be shaved, for a fresh start. I explained the temp is warm and she has an undercoat that keeps her cool. She was persistent, needless to say, I left with my baby in hand. Rachel called me explaining she believed Esther could be groomed and had received Lisa's blessing to bathe her. Mind you, Rachel is not a groomer but went out of her way when she didn't have to and risked having her colleagues angered with her. Rachel did an amazing job!! My heart is warmed and touched for what she did for a complete stranger because the love she has for animals. I saw the spark in Rachel that I once saw in Erica, that no longer exists. When I went into pick her up, Erica looked at me, yet could say nothing. An apology was not expected but acknowledgement of how great Esther looked could have gone a long way and salvaged this disappointment. Moral of this is please advocate for your dogs/pets because in my opinion customer service and knowledge is key, not the personal agenda of a "professional." Rachel's professionalism and love for the win. She is honest and will do what is right. read more

I love this place for my 2 fur babies . the people are super friendly and my dogs seem to feel at home when I take them . I have a bull dog mix and long haired shepherd . my GSD comes out so fluffy well bathed and both smelling so good ! I recommend this place to all my friends. After the groomers we always get so much compliments on our dogs ! They work wonders my pup likes to dig and play in the water and mud that you can't even tell what color he is haha but when its time for pick up they are both stunning! Me and my husband would never take our dogs no where else but here on East Olive Lisa pet styles ! I recommend setting an appointment ahead of time to make sure your fur buddy gets in. She always does exactly as we ask. My other dog still has issues about getting groomed. Becca has been bitten by him and is still willing to deal with my dog. Today was my 2nd time taking our 2 Shih tzu dogs to Lisa's. First time, the grooming was ok. most of my dissatisfaction was due to my lack of understanding/communication about what kind of cut I wanted. This time....not a good trip. The grooming job was good. However.... They called the day before our 11 am appointment, and asked if we could be there at 8 am instead. I gladly took that earlier appointment. No one showed up until 8:10. Made me late for work. There is a sign on the door, on the counter, and who knows where else that says GROOMING IS CASH ONLY. I suspect a code for WE DON'T REPORT GROOMING EARNINGS TO THE IRS. I knew about the cash requirement. Had the normal $100 ready to go when I went to pick the dogs up. Apparently, one of the dogs required a bit additional detail, so the bill was $110. Didn't have the $10 on me. I apologized for being short, and promised to take the dogs home, and be right back with the $10 in 15 minutes. The groomer (and she's lucky I can't remember her name) said "fine, I'll just keep one of the dogs till you get back". I thought she was joking, and said, ok, pick one. She wasn't joking. She headed back into the back with one of my dogs, and $100. I called her back out , told her this was a bunch of bull****, had her hold the 2nd dog while I went across the street to stand in line at the ATM to get $10. Cost me and additional $3 to get the cash. Took the money to her, got my dogs, and informed her that this was my last time in her business. Can't recommend them as a business I'd like to develop a local, long term relationship with. My dogs or I won't be back. read more

But I just moved to Turlock, and he want living in the backyard in dirt, and was going to be an inside dog. So I thought I'd try this place. Good review.
