We were such people originally, and that's why I need to share our review about Bobcat Frenchies here. We were determined to only do adoption and not go through a breeder originally, and knew we wanted a French bulldog. Long story short, through a lot of research, we determined it was far better for us to be assured of the Frenchie's health and well-being and a sound genetic makeup, because when you adopt (as wonderful as this is ), you don't know what you are getting in its health or disposition. We also wanted a puppy we could mold and train to fit our family and lifestyle from the get-go. So off we went to research breeders. That was a long journey - so many scams and questionable "breeders" out there. We ended up on the AKC Marketplace Website (highly recommend) and found Bobcat Frenchies. They had distinguishing "award" and marks in various categories and were up front about everything. We did our due diligence and also called the AKC and emailed them to find out if there were any issues associated with this breeder (which there were not). We also called the vet they used (hey, we were really , really cautious and did our due diligence). Everything checked out. I share this to save the reader time from going through all we did. Bobcat Frenchies is not only legit - but they have the utmost integrity in breeding and professionalism. There is a deposit required, a contract provided spelling out what they provide, etc. And we got to meet our pup and talk to the breeder personally, (virtually) etc. We knew when we first saw our puppy she was meant to be ours. Bobcat Frenchies delivered her personally to us with all the paperwork , including her shot summary from her vet, a bag of puppy food, and more. Fast forward to 2 months into ownership of our baby girl, and we could not be more happy. She is loving, soooo well-adjusted (and if you see the way Bobcat Frenchies provides a loving, safe and beautiful home for the mama and puppies with their own family, you will understand why their pups are so extra fabulous). Our pup is healthy, hilarious, active, super alert and taking to her puppy training classes like a duck to water... I am writing this because reputable breeders who are registered with the AKC and do business properly and have a deep love of Frenchies should be the ones to get the business. And if anyone out there is new like we were to the world of using a breeder and a bit 'gun shy' with all the scams out there, there are amazing ones out there- and I will just save you a ton of time and research and tell you to look no further -go with Bobcat Frenchies.

### Incident Report: Veterinary Negligence and Loss of Stella…read more**Date of Incident:** August 13, 2026 **Patient:** Stella (Pug) **Facility:** Santa Fe Pet Hospital **Procedure:** Deep ear cleaning #### Summary of Events On August 13, 2026, I brought my pug, Stella, to Santa Fe Pet Hospital for a deep ear cleaning. The procedure lasted approximately 30 minutes. Notably, despite it being a deep cleaning procedure, she did not receive anesthesia. Upon picking her up, I noticed she was unusually distant and lethargic, which I initially thought might be normal. Staff instructed me that the veterinarian had already put the initial medication in her ears, and that I should start administering the prescribed drops the following morning. The following morning, I awoke to find Stella suffering from severe swelling and discharge in her eye. Based on visual symptoms, the eye presented clear signs of a chemical ulcer or severe corneal irritation. During the procedure, powerful ear-cleaning solutions or medications were evidently allowed to enter Stella's unprotected eye. Because the attending veterinarian either wasn't paying attention or accidentally allowed the solution to get into her eye and failed to notice, her eye was left unrinsed, causing acute chemical trauma. #### Clinic Response and Aftermath When I immediately contacted Santa Fe Pet Hospital to report that Stella was experiencing severe eye discharge and complications resulting directly from their procedure, their response was entirely dismissive. Rather than taking accountability, examining the dog, or providing emergency first aid, they simply told me to take her to an emergency facility in Turlock. Pets are family, and veterinary care is a paid professional service where patient safety is paramount. I paid for a deep ear cleaning, but my dog came out of it severely injured due to carelessness, leading to her tragic passing. This level of negligence and lack of accountability is completely unacceptable.

Upon arrival I didn't even have to text the number because there was already a technician in the parking lot who did was very friendly and checked us in. We waited about another 5 minutes and then came to get my dog. When he was done the vet herself came out and explained what was wrong and what they did addressed a few other questions I had. So was very friendly and didn't make me feel rushed. After paying the pharmacist came out and gave us our meds and we were on our way. We were in and out within 30 minutes. I hope I don't have another emergency with my dog again, but if I do. I wouldn't hesitate to bring either of my dogs here for care.
