Friedley's left our office less than an hour ago, but I am already writing this review because we are ridiculously happy and they deserve all of the credit... We reached out to Friedley's and a couple other places because we needed new locks on our office's patio doors. You wouldn't believe how outrageous the quotes were... Until we got to Friedley's. We asked them to come out and view the work we'd need done. On the day of, Brad gave us an hour's heads-up before coming by. Great, professional attitude. While he was here, we also discussed our front doors that don't close properly and I pointed out a pair of sliding glass doors for one of our conference rooms that close at an odd angle. He said he'd have his guys look into straightening the conference room doors, but no guarantee and he wouldn't charge us if his guys couldn't fix it. Wow?! I was already sold. That evening, Brad sent over a quote for the parts and labor for the locks, the labor quote for the front doors, and the labor quote for the sliding glass doors. No fee if the sliding glass doors weren't able to be fixed, just as he'd said earlier. We accepted and he ordered the parts. A week later -- today -- he came with two guys and they did all of the work. They were able to fix everything in about an hour, even the conference room doors! We are still ecstatic. We've had so many awful experiences with handymen and door repairers, and this just seemed too good to be true. So very happy that we found Friedley's and we will definitely call them for any future services needed. read more

They finally said they could only fix it if they sent someone out to look at 5he actual window. After getting nowhere with them we actually were able to buy a casement window frame kit at lowes and fix it ourselves. read more

The worse office I have ever had to work with, took me over a week to even get someone to send me a quote, which wasn't even a quote but a bill for what they were going to do, nothing for me to sign. Then when I told them they could only pick up the panels that needed to be repaired during certain hours, they would not work with me. They just told me that they would not be able to do the job...... The trouble of being one of the few English speaking members of a large family is that you get to be the de facto spokesperson for the entire family tree for matters ranging from calling pest control to ordering pizza to household maintenance and repair. It gets even "better" when the relative is hundreds of miles away needing a new screen door for her house. Oxnard is uncharted territory for me and I knew I needed some help navigating through this other side of the world to find a good door guy. Based on a good friend's recommendation (now an even better friend), I discovered Friedley's Glass and Windows that did wonders to my aunt's doorway. First of all, the office staff were extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. We put a small deposit down when placing the order and was told to wait a few days for the materials to come. A couple of days later, I got a call notifying me that the screen door had arrived and asking for a schedule. Unfortunately for me, I was not available (physically and mentally that day) until after they were already closed. Nonetheless the owner went out of his way to come to my aunt's house and installed the screen door on his way home. I'd say customer service at its best! It comes as a surprise to my friends and family that despite all of my random knowledge and fluency with the mysterious world of homemaking, I really don't know a lot about home construction or anything beyond general maintenance and painting my own walls... I barely learned to change my wall receptacles a couple months ago. When my drunk friend fell through our sliding glass door [he's fine, don't worry], I didn't know anyone I could trust that wouldn't charge an arm and a leg and do half-assed, slow labor. Clueless doesn't even begin to cover how I felt at the beginning of this process. Fortunately, Mr. Friedley knows his shit, and has the patience and experience in dealing with the lost and horribly anxious [See: ME]. I was recommended to this business by a friend in Camarillo that had some fixtures in his home done by Friedley's, and I have to admit the workmanship impressed me - but I still made a rather nervous phone call to Friedley's. The price point given to me wasn't high, and where some businesses give you huge windows of time during which their associates might show up, this business gave a very short window and they showed up promptly within it and also finished their work in under two hours. I was very impressed by the courteousness of the gentlemen that came to my house to complete the job, and I even received a follow-up call from Friedley's asking how my service was the day after. Friedley's seriously took the anxiety out of the entire process for me. I didn't know it could be this simple or courteous. I also didn't end up emptying my bank account to replace the door. It's a family owned business out of the Camarillo, Oxnard area. I actually got to talk to one of the owners. It's pretty amazing to still have companies like these around this area. My wife wanted to upgrade the 20 year old kitchen windows that look out toward the garden. The windows were large in size, and difficult to find. They were able to custom cut one, install, and clean up for me within a day after getting a quote. The workers were prompt and professional. My wife also runs a clinic in a plaza a few cities away. They got their windows knocked out by some teenagers one night. Friedley's came out and reinstalled the floor to ceiling windows the next day. I brought in a sliding door handle about two weeks ago. The original plan was for them to call me later the same day with what my options were for a replacement. I allowed 5 days to go by and finally called them. Nothing had happened as the person who apparently finds hardware was "extremely busy." I was told that I would receive a call by the next day. This never happened. I called a third time and similar story. I allowed another 4 days to pass and called again. The story this time was that an email was sent the day before and a "shipment" was being received Wednesday but there was no guarantee if a suitable handle would be on the truck. At this point I told the woman who answers the phone that I was going to pick up the handle to try elsewhere. I went to Ventura Sash and Door and I had my new sliding door handle in 20 minutes. Two of my neighbors used and referred you to repair the rollers for the glass sliding door in my house. I checked you out on Yelp and was skeptical but called as a result of their referrals. Both of my neighbors told me that they had a good experience with your company. I set up an appointment to have your rep to come out and see what I needed. Two people showed up and said the rollers needed to be replaced and the tract need to be cleaned and treated with a Silicone treatment. They quoted me a $200.00 price for the service although both my neighbors told me they paid $150.00. I set up an appointment with you to have 2 workers come out and take care of the rollers, etc. On the day of the service, I got a call from your office that one of your workers was sick and, since it was a 2-man job, you said we needed to reschedule. You said you would call me when you had 2 men to do the job. I waited 2 weeks and finally called you. Apparently, my paper work had gotten lost. After being put on hold while your employee, on the phone, tried to find my file, we finally set up another appointment. Now, being a bit more skeptical, I called a few days later to confirm the appointment. Apparently, my paper work had gotten lost, again. So, we reset the appointment. I was told to have all the plants and objects moved away from the sliding door, which we did. Your workers were supposed to be here, this morning, between 9-11 (I called again, yesterday to confirm). Apparently Juan called my cell phone at 9:38 AM but I didn't hear it. I noticed it at 10 AM and returned his call. He was already at another job. We have been playing phone tag all morning. I get put on hold and he doesn't call back. Finally I called your office and got put on hold while they looked up my files or went to lunch. I finally hung up and called again, only to be put on hold, again... I had to hang up after 5 minutes of being on hold. Nobody from Friedley's called back. After and hour I called to see if anyone was going to show up and was told, "Oh, you hung up so we thought you weren't interested so we canceled the order." We are very disappointed. the owner had told me over a month ago he would call me with my screen and after all this time he finally tells me he's finally coming over to bring the screen and pick up our dog door screen, after many many attempts of calling the office and trying to reach him he tells me he will be at my home between 8 and 10 a.m. today. He never showed up and when I call them he tells me that he's not interested in doing my job. First, I'm giving two stars because the owner was personally a nice guy. However, the follow up an service was horrible!!! I'm in their parking lot as I write... I needed a piece of glass, tempered. I was told 4 days, it took a week and a half. I could live with that. While he was out, he measured for screens. A week or so I was told. Two months later, they can't find the paper work, they'll call me back. No call back. Another month, I have to drive there to see what solution they may have. The gal had no sense of costumer service, wasn't solution oriented, could care less about a bad review on Yelp, and went straight to offering me my deposit back. I hate writing bad reviews, but sometimes it is well deserved. I had called them to come out to the facility I work at to look at one small cracked window. They came out, took measurements, told us it would be easy, but then I never heard from them again. They never even sent me a quote. I decided to follow up a couple days after they had come to our facility. I called them and asked if they were still interested and the lady on the phone told me that "her boss" would call me back. Never did. I waited a little less than a week, called again, and I was told the same story, that "her boss" would call me back. Sad to say never got a call. Definitely not calling them again, and definitely not recommending them to anyone either. Completely wasted my time. Funny thing too, "the owner" was the one who apparently came out to our facility, so I figured it would actually get done... Spent an hour in store talking to the owner and walked out ready to leave deposit but scheduled estimate as owner recommended. On the scheduled date I waited 4 hours as the time provided only to call and be told oh we're one guy down and forgot about you and that they would be calling me back shortly. To which never happened. Decided to give them one last shot, called and spoke to the owner again, told me he remembered me and we just simply weren't able to connect that day. Uhh no, you never showed up, I was there. Anyways, told me he would call me back to schedule and needless to say o still have not heard from the guy. I called and had measurements taken, then went to shop to place order. Got to shop and it seemed as if it was somebody dirty basement. Had no organization, the associates had no clue, had the hardest time just tracking down my order, then couldn't answer one question. So they told me it would be best if I talked to Brad ( guess he's the owner) so I left my numbers and waited for 3 or 4 days and no call. I called the shop 3 more times in the next week, and the same thing was told to me, Brad will call you. So I figured only way to get answers is if I go to the shop, after second try I caught Brad at the shop, then he couldn't find my order, ( should've took the hint then) but he finally found it and I put deposit down, asked if they had a military discount? He said nope. Then told me my order will be in 5-7 days, after 10 days of no calls, I started calling again, and the same excuse time after time, should be in any day now, and they'll call me to set up date for installation. Well after another week, I started calling again and now they told me the mirrors not in yet, they'll call me when it's in. Never heard from them so I kept calling every few days, and finally they said they can set a date, only excuse they gave was their short staffed. (Wonder if I didn't call if I would've ever got a call from them) So the 7 days turned into a month. So finally day of installation, Brad came to do the install, figured he would at least apologize for the delay, be honest I thought a good business man would have given a discount cause of their sorry customer service. But what made the experience even worse is he came put the shower doors and mirror in, I go upstairs and see he just leans the stuff against my bed and dresser. (Wouldn't been a problem but ask first). Then I noticed little blue pieces going up the stairs and in the room, (some sticky cushion things on glass) and the residue (from drilling hole in quartz in shower) on the shower floor, fingerprints on the mirror!!!!! So what I'm saying for the high prices, I don't think you get your money's worth with them. They seemed to know what they were doing in the installation. And the product was of good quality. Bottom line is I sense that the owner (Brad) has that feeling that he's owed, and you need him!!! I think you can figure out what I'm saying. If not text me. read more

He couldn't quote a price but took down my information and said that they would be calling with estimate for my several thousand dollars worth of windows. They never called ! I guess they are cherry picking who they do business with. If it's an easy job and they can make a larger than normal profit perhaps they will grant you with their service. September of 2019 I brought in the sliding portion of a broken window to their shop (not the mobile service). The glass was replaced the same day for less than what I was quoted by three others businesses. Four months later I needed the receipt and couldn't find it. I called them up to get a copy of the invoice. About an hour later I got an email with a copy of the invoice. It means a lot when your in a rush and need these things like yesterday. Friedley's is pretty much the only game in town for glasses replacement on doors, commercial windows, custom glass, so either you like it or not, don't have much choices, so because of that reason they get a 5 star review because without them, there ain't no windows and glass for a lot of ya'all. This company may have the best customer service I've ever had. Someone broke a window at my business. I called and asked if they could board it up until we contacted our insurance. They rearranged their schedule to come out asap, but they didn't bring plywood, they took measurements and left. When they returned they still didn't have plywood, they had a brand new glass (weird size too)same day. The installers were super polite, quick and cleaned up everything. Great company!
