So far, this has been the best experience in my stressful renovation process (you know what I am talking about). I was originally quoted $5,500 for my windows, and the team has been incredibly professional--their employees are responsible and follow up with me consistently. What is truly unheard of in the construction business is what happened next: they actually lowered the final price to $5,300 without me even asking! Usually, prices only go up, so this level of honesty is refreshing. Even though I've had to get multiple quotes for every other trade due to some 'crazy' numbers out there, I didn't even bother looking for a second estimate for the windows. The initial $5,500 was a fair deal for my project, and the final $5,300--which includes the installation--is a total win. Great company and great experience! The best part was coming home to beautiful new windows, expertly installed, with no other sign that Curt and his crew were ever there. Experiences with other (non-window) contractors left me cleaning up after them, or dealing with their trash overflowing in my bins. Quite literally, there were no signs Curt and crew had ever stepped foot inside my house other than the new windows. In addition, he shows up for all appointments timely, and perhaps most importantly cares about doing a great job and it shows in his quality of work. Charlotte is great to communicate with and will keep you up to date as needed. There were no discrepancies between the original quoted price and the invoiced amount. No attempts to up-sell or add cost to the original estimate. Very straight forward and easy to work with! We went with Anlin windows per Curt's suggestion and are so far impressed with their quality. After researching windows we found out that for dual glazed argon filled windows, the better windows have a rating of 0.27, which is what our windows have. Curt made suggestions about window types which we appreciated, e.g. changing the original home builder sliding windows to a mix of picture and casement windows. We couldn't be happier with the results. We're looking forward to not having to deal with a draft in our kitchen this winter! My regret is not being able to replace all the windows in my house at once. On the flip side, I'm looking forward to having Curt back because I enjoy working with people who take pride in their work. Full disclosure, we've had CJ Window install windows in a previous house in Ventura, and replace the slider in our current house a few years ago. This review is way overdue but I was the resident who stayed home during installation (due to a sick dog needing constant care/ meds/ ..etc.) anyways, one day (It took two days for the entire condo-due to a bad rain storm first day half-way through the job) I wasn't able to make it home for the dog and curt and his crew were kind enough to watch her until I got there. That meant so much! Thank you Here's the important stuff- curt and his crew (forget their names) but they were ALL so kind and understanding and generally just a really great crew. They worked together super well and efficiently. And I felt completely comfortable all day (sometimes it's awkward being a young women in these situations but not with this crew AT ALL) I even got to watch the crew here and there and noticed that curt is very meticulous and seemed to refuse to leave without the windows being any standard short of perfection. And are were exactly that. Perfect. Most importantly-these windows changed our lives literally ! The previous ones were thin, didn't keep the cold in or heat out (depending on the season) and I personally felt like living in this condo area everyone could here everything in the condo- after these windows were beautifully installed I felt like we felt like we had a private cozy home:) Thanks so much curt & your crew. CJ Windows was first recommended to me by someone who should know -- he installed window blinds and CJ Windows had installed the windows in his own home. I was coordinating the remodel of my sister's mid-1950's home and had Curt and Charlotte come give me an estimate. The price was right and the windows looked good so we went for it. We were very pleased with the service and the final product. They showed up on time, worked quickly and cleaned up after themselves so it looked better than when they started. After our mother passed away, we replaced the windows on her house and did not even bother calling anyone other than CJ Windows since we had been so pleased with the previous job. Again, they did a beautiful job. When it came time to replace the windows on our own house, we were pleased to hear that CJ Windows were able to travel to Santa Barbara to do the job. We were so overwhelmed when trying to find the right contractor......it's a big decision! We could not be more pleased with the end result! I rarely come across a company as wonderful as CJ Windows. There bid to install 4 Anlin dual pane, gas filled, sliding glass doors was extremely competitive. They arrived early, were very polite, and well prepared for a complicated job in a simi-remote mountain community. They had to remove and replace four 20+ year old sliding glass doors. The job took two days and it was done with extreme care and master craftsmanship. Our mountain home is now much warmer, filled with beautiful sunlight and so quiet you can hear a pin drop. The interior and exterior installation is to the highest of new construction standards and has added a new look to our home. They did not leave a speck of dust behind. I'd like to start out by saying I've never had my windows done by CJ Windows, but if I needed any of their services, I would definitely go with them. I met Curt and Charlotte James (owners of the company, whom I'll now refer to as CC) at a Home and Garden show I worked recently. I was working as a vendor in a booth next to them for two days. I have been working Home and Garden shows for over three years, and I have to say I have never seen so many customers come up to a company, saying how much they love their work, how they recommend them to all their friends and family, and gushing at other customers also in the booth about how great they are. There were so many loyal customers professing their love for them, we started joking about how they must've paid them to do this. Of course they didn't! :D There was even a couple that came that had never met CC, but had had their windows done by them while they were out of state. They came by to introduce themselves, and thank CC for the amazing work, raving about the quality of care that was put into installing their windows. Over the two days, CC and I chatted, and they come across as HONEST, hard working, good people that you could trust to do whatever work you needed (that they provide, of course, haha). I normally don't write reviews on services that I haven't personally gotten myself, however, I feel that in business, one of the most important things (besides a job well done) is to feel that you have a good relationship with whom you're doing business. People you can trust are rare, and those who aren't just out to get your money are even rarer. CC are such people. They have built up relationships within their industry, and have an extremely loyal customer base. When most of your business comes from word of mouth, you know you must be doing something right! I think Curt could install these in his sleep, since that's all he does, week in, week out. He also brings a lifetime of general contracting experience to the job, so if there are any issues at all, Curt has the knowledge and experience to solve them. He is a meticulous craftsman; his standards are incredibly high. Best product, best installer, and yet, also the most reasonably priced. I was just fortunate to find him on a Google search, and I am so glad I did. Had him replace all the windows in my 1957 ranch home. He cut two of them down and added sliders to my living room. They did the most amazing job. He and his crew worked very neatly and efficiently. They were very conscientious and respectful of my home. He also framed in a new window for my kitchen. His work was so precise he put my kitchen contractor's crew to shame. Matched the 1957 window framing on the outside perfectly. He did such a terrific job with the main house that I had him return and replace the windows in the 2003 addition. He replaced all 5 windows in less than a day with only one helper. The new windows have made an enormous difference in the space; they've drastically cut down on street noise and heat gain. Just be aware, you may have to wait a few weeks to months to get on their schedule. Curt is definitely worth the wait, though. I bought home (40 years old) that still had the original single pane slider doors (I use that term loosely, they didn't slide anymore!) and windows. CJ Windows are as good as it gets. Both Charlotte and Curt are very personable and great to work with. There are already so many reviews on their customer service that I will focus more on the windows they install. I specifically sought out an Anlin Window installer because of a long write up on vinyl windows here: https://www.reddit.com/r/HomeImprovement/comments/221pej/windows_have_questions_get_in_here_i_have/ I've had Pella, some other builder quality brand, and wood windows installed in other properties and the Anlin Windows have set the bar. I wish I would have been using these from the start. In every other vinyl window I've had there is this slight flex when opening and closing the window. The thing is I never realized it until the Anlin windows were installed. The Anlin windows open and close so smooth and there is not a single bit of flex coming from the vinyl frame. The write up was correct in that these windows are manufactured according to higher quality standards. Plus they're manufactured locally in CA which is another plus. Go with CJ Windows and most importantly go with Anlin Windows. You will not be disappointed. read more

Wow - we are so thrilled that we found CJ Windows on the internet before we went with someone else! We had 3 estimates from companies that advertise heavily. Apparently all of those advertising costs are passed on to the consumers. We did learn that we wanted Anlin vinyl windows because their features, in our minds, made them quite superior to Milgard. We thought we'd made our decision but then discovered CJ's and decided to get one more estimate. We were shocked when they were $3,500. less! But we think, as lovely as a $3,500. savings is, the best part about CJ's is the people. Curt and Charlotte are probably 2 of the nicest people who have ever walked on this earth. We loved that Curt was there all 3 days installing windows and supervising his helpers. So much nicer than a crew being dropped off. It was a pleasure having them in our home and we totally trusted them when we weren't there. Our windows are gorgeous and they cleaned up better than I would have done myself.
