We needed a custom screen door made. We went to this shop. They insisted that we are not qualified to measure the opening correctly. We agreed to pay them $65 to come and measure the opening. The guy who came out to measure claimed to have 30 years of experience. When the door arrived, it was 2 inches too short and 2 inches too narrow. Pictures are attached, you be the judge. When we reported this problem to Quality Windows, the manager there started immediately yelling that we don't know how to install the door. No matter how you install the door, a 30x76 inch door can NOT cover a 33x79 inch opening. It's not an issue of installation, it's an issue with the moron who measured the opening in the first place. Very dishonest business and a very dishonest and rude manager, Espy Alvarez. This business should NOT be in business. They might do OK work, but when they make mistakes, it's the customers fault and the customer's job to pay for it.

I had to replace a screen door that my dog ran though. They were quick and did a great job. My dog is seriously stupid and has ran through the screen door about 4 times so I've purchased several screen doors from them. This last time they recommended a pet guard. Man I wish they had told me about that before. She was running through them cause she couldn't see them! But with the guard on it she can see it and hasn't had any issues. The problem is she can open the door so this one is mangled all to hell but it's lasted well Over a year. I'm due for another screen and I'll definitely be going back to them for a replacement.

Our 93-year-old home had the original wood framed, single pane windows when we bought it 17 years ago. We could only afford 1/2 of them 10 years ago but needed the rest replaced. Quality Windows provided a free estimate and warned us that supply lines had long backlogs of up to 12 weeks. They exceeded our expectations due in large part to Maham, a manager there, but the installers, Ismael and Pedro, were pretty great too. Maham made calls to her contacts at the production site to push my delivery and install date. In fact she called me to ask if they could install early! I said "of course!" My windows look so nice! Thank you For some reason Yelp is not uploading all my pics...sorry.

This is how I received the door very dirty and miss handled

Wish I could something positive but this whole time dealing with Quality window been a nightmare. Not only did it take almost 9 months for completion sliding door installation but it wasn't what I agreed with when I place my order with sale rep. Communication with installation manager has been horrible and now none excitant. For anyone reading this please do you research and find some other then this company you sure be very disappointed.

This is a review about their Oxnard location. However, based on their website, it's the same business with multiple locations, so I am leaving the review on both businesses. We ordered a custom screen door from Quality Windows and Doors. They insisted that their technician needs to come out and measure the opening at the cost of $65. We agreed. The technician came out and measured the door incorrectly. The technician measured the inside frame rather than the outside frame. This is wrong by ALL industry standards, and causes the screen door to cut into the door passageway. When we contacted the company about this, their position has gradually shifted: 1. First they claimed it's because we don't know how to install it. 2. Second, once I sent them pictures of the door not fitting at all, they claimed that we were trying to trick them by holding it next to a different door opening. 3. Once I made a video showing them the door opening and how the door didn't fit, they instantly changed their position to saying that it's supposed to fit into the door frame and cut a portion of the door off, that's just normal. We consulted with a contractor friend of ours who has actual 30 years experience, not just claimed 30 years experience, and this is a) not at ALL needed, and b) not at ALL standard, especially in a laundry room where the width of the door is critical to be able to pass laundry equipment through said door. Even if installing the door into the inner door frame was acceptable, which it is NOT for the reasons stated above, the door it self doesn't FIT into the space because it hits the handle of the main door. It simply CANNOT be installed that close to the main door. Again, a person with actual 30 years of experience, as claimed by the companies tech, should have spotted this issue immediately when measuring the opening. At this point we were insulted and treated with extremely levels of rudeness by someone claiming to be the business owner. These people take advantage of unsuspecting home owners. Don't believe me, just look at the complaints against them on Better Business Bureau. In one case they even installed a fake Milgard window and when the customer complained, they claimed that they told the customer about it in the show room. The customer denied this happened. I believe the customer because several representatives of this company lied to me directly. Just read the complaints, it's both funny and sad to read. While negotiating with the company I made a video, you can see it here: https://youtu.be/iURy9aWcalM

We asked for a quote from My WIndow Solutions, got one that was quite good. We had explained the rationale for getting a replacement window (the leak). Parry sent over his crew right away to caulk around the existing one so we wouldn't get any incursion while waiting for the new one to arrive and get installed. Nice! For this job, I had also asked to have a custom window casing and deep windowsill built. We agreed that I'd buy the materials (a particular trim profile and hardwood species), prime them, and they'd do the cutting and installation. This collaboration worked perfectly.

Instead, we experienced nearly a year of delays, shifting explanations, broken promises, and unresolved warranty issues. The installation was originally promised for January 2025. It didn't occur until June 3, 2025--nearly five months late. Unfortunately, the door arrived with multiple defects that we documented immediately, including a dented frame, paint defects, improperly finished grids, damaged weatherstripping, and screen frames whose paint began peeling during normal wiping and cleaning. To be fair, the subcontractors who performed the structural opening modification were professional and did quality work. Our concerns have never been with them. Our concerns have always been with the condition of the product itself and how The Window Factory handled the problems afterward. We reported every issue on the day of installation. We were assured a technician would be out within a week. That never happened. Consultant James later confirmed the repair items had been approved under warranty. We believed the company would stand behind its product. Instead, weeks became months. Timelines repeatedly changed. We were told repairs were delayed because the company was "waiting on parts." Eventually, after months of waiting, technicians finally returned in November 2025. Despite all of the prior explanations about waiting for parts, no major replacement parts were installed. The visit consisted primarily of cleaning drain/weep holes, replacing some weatherstripping, adjusting one interior lock, and using the same bottle of touch-up paint that had already been left at our home months earlier. The dent remains. The paint and finish defects remain. The screen frames continue peeling during normal cleaning. During that visit, one technician acknowledged the ongoing screen issue and said the office would follow up regarding replacement screens with the factory-applied baked finish we had originally been told they would have. No one ever contacted us. The previously discussed refund was never honored. Our follow-up emails went unanswered. More than six months have now passed since that November visit without any meaningful follow-up. What has disappointed us most is not simply that a product had defects. Manufacturing problems can happen. What matters is how a company responds when they do. Throughout this process we tried repeatedly to resolve the matter privately. We accepted compromises. We continued giving additional opportunities to correct the issues. We remained patient through months of delays. Unfortunately, the communication became increasingly inconsistent, commitments were not fulfilled, and the matter was ultimately left unresolved. We paid more than $10,000 for what was represented as a premium custom installation with warranty support. Instead, we were left with a damaged product, unfinished repairs, unresolved warranty issues, and a company that ultimately stopped following through. Our hope is that sharing our experience helps future homeowners make a fully informed decision before signing a contract.
