After being given an ottoman with two broken mirrors, over a year ago, I finally had the time to work on this. Two trips to cut these two and this now looks amazing again. Best part is, I can open it the normal way again! No more opening it backwards. So incredibly happy! read more

Ron's Glass & Screen - Ottoman with two broken mirrors. - Windows Installation Near Me - Somis, California

This was my first time going to this business for my window repair. I have young, athletic kids, so this is the third time Ive had this window replaced. So, third time fix, first time coming to Ron's. I am coming to them from now on! They finished my single pane replacement extremely quickly and for the best price I found that day. Jason was the main person we dealt with, and he did an outstanding job!!! So good, I may need to bring the rest of the panes in so they look just as good!! Every aspect of my experience- from my first call until pick-up- was extremely pleasant and efficient. I am recommending them from now on!!! If I could give them more stars, I would. Thank you so much!!! read more

This business installed and repaired my cage after Irma, and did an excellent job. But now I need a new front screened entranceway ; they come and measure but no estimate . Four phone calls and numerous text messages and they ignore me. A professional would at least say they don't want the job but these people just ignore the customer . Can't imagine if they did work and there was an issue that they would be professional enough to satisfy the customer. Best thing is to find a company that values its customers and is honest enough to communicate . Very disappointed . read more

Wish I could leave a Zero Star review. Set up a day and time for an estimate for new windows. Never showed, never called. Thought I was doing the right thing by shopping local. if you don't want to do a job be HONEST and tell potential customers up front. Reporting to the BBB also. read more

I called them this morning as I need a home window repaired/replaced. For whatever reason their telephone system says they are with another client or on the other line and provide extensions so that you can speak with someone or leave a message. All the extensions they provide just error out and your stuck in a loop listening to them thanking you for calling. It's the 21st century and a working phone system is a must if you want to conduct business. Judging from the lack of professionalism...perhaps, not getting through to them is a good thing. read more

I've had the pleasure of working with both Ron & Danny for two different projects. They were timely, fair priced and honest. The job they did turned out even better than I was expecting. I will definitely be using their company in the future. read more

I called to get an estimate and the man told me he would let me know if he could come by, I gave him a call closer to the time frame he had given me and told me, "I was thinking about coming out....." and when I asked if he could, he told me that "he was busy doing paperwork and would give me a call back because there was a call he needed to take!" Didn't realize that my phone call of a paying customer wasn't enough! read more

Ron's glass was one of two places I called to get work done. Once the estimate came in I went into Ron's showroom first and just loved the customer service they had. I decided to not even go to the other place and used Ron's for the work. About 2 weeks later the glass was done and installed. I would recommend Ron's glass to anyone and everyone. Thank you for the great work! read more

Absolutely horrid!!!! First, their online request for an appointment does not work - I called and followed up, was told that it doesn't work (messages aren't viewed). Then why have it on your website!? Every single conversation I have with this young man, I literally have to repeat myself several times; he doesn't comprehend anything!!! A few days before the appointment, same guy called to confirm (not the time though), he didn't have it written down ... surprise surprise. Mind you, I've been waiting for him to arrive for our scheduled appointment today... I called and he had no recollection of anything... then he somewhat remembered and was like "oh, things were swamped here so I couldn't go... and I don't have your info in front of me". He was trying to reschedule for late tonight (after work) or for tomorrow... Again, had to repeat to him what this was for again... literally within a second or two he forgot what I needed him to see at my house... I finally told him that I am not rescheduling and canceling. They shouldn't even be in business!!!!!!!! read more

I recently replaced all of my windows in my home with Ron's Glass & Screen. Ron and his team were a pleasure to work with. They were extremely professional and provided high quality, skilled work at a fair price. I could not be happier with how things turned out. I would recommend all friends and family to Ron's Glass & Screen, read more

DISAPPOINTED- I paid top dollar because I was "promised" delivery and installation by a certain date. The shower enclosure was received within 2 days at Ron's Glass and then installation became a problem. For 3 days I received a "promise" and each day a different excuse. It became apparent they do not have adequate staff to complete installations. My timeline was not met which became expensive to me. I then was double billed and was told a check would be mailed. After 2 more weeks I went to their office to pick up check. Very poor customer relations and inadequate staff. Never again! read more

It is obvious the word is going around about the poor practices of this business. ALERT!!!!! it is not a coincidence and the miscommunications and lack of commitment this firms practices. Other customers see it now. There are other companies out there. This people need to love what they do, represent their brand and put their customers first. Unless this is a game for them. ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR YOUR OWN SAKE! Don't waste your money here. They appear to love mass orders and ignore the customers like you and I. read more

I am truly outraged with this company and want the community to know what TERRIBLE customer service and work they have done. I almost never YELP, but I want to make their bad business practice known!!! Two MONTHS ago we brought our window screen into the business and asked for a replacement. (We had always had good service here in the past) Several weeks later, still no call, so we contact them and they say to come pick it up. When I show up, I say "Is this my screen? It looks too small". Karen tells me it has our name on it and confirms that no other screen out there has the same name, so I take it home slightly confused. Lo, and behold...It is NOT our screen! Well, unfortunately, THEY CAN NO LONGER FIND THE SCREEN WE BROUGHT THEM, so they suggest WE MEASURE OUR WINDOW FOR A REPLACEMENT. We tell them that " we brought the broken screen to ensure correct measurements and since THEY LOST IT, they should come out to measure for the screen we have patiently waited for." Okay, so someone comes out, measures and we go pick up the replacement screen again....IT IS TOO BIG BY 1/2'. How can professionals mismeasure a window?? When we report the screen is not the correct size THE OWNER GETS ON THE PHONE AND SUGGESTS WE MEASURE OUR OWN WINDOW. Now, if their own employees cannot get it right, why should a lay person do better???? THEY STILL HAVE NEVER COME BACK TO MEASURE AND OUR SCREEN IS LOST AT THEIR STORE. Now we have to PAY some other company to come out and measure our window for a replacement, because THEY DON'T HAVE INTEGRITY TO FINISH A JOB CORRECTLY. I am utterly disgusted with their incompetence, but angrier that the owner doesn't care that they lost our screen and should be responsible enough to measure and replace with the correct size. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS STORE and will gladly report to anyone how unprofessional they have become. read more

Solid, straight forward work as promised. That said, be aware that they will not do the permitting. You must do that and then come back to them if there are any problems, hence the four. Otherwise, very good. read more

Finally got my door installed. Waited a long time but we are happy with the door.

I can't say enough about the great service Ron and Karen gave me on my shower doors. I flip houses and my normal shower enclosure guy couldn't fit me in, and they were able to accommodate me ASAP after knowing I was on a fast deadline. Karen was so super sweet on the phone and so helpful. She had the installer out same day to measure and get me my quote due to time. FAST and professional. I now have a new glass co. for all my upcoming flip jobs. Thanks! read more

Mr. Ron Folkes and his Team members are outstanding in terms of customer service and support. He will definitely "go the extra mile" and also offer you highly useful advice if you work collaboratively with him. Importantly, he provides windows that are rated as very high in quality (according to internet resources). I am so very grateful to have had the support of Ron. He replaced the windows and the mirrored wardrobe doors in my parents' home in Leisure Village after my father passed and my mother needed to sell the house. Being 2500 miles away, I needed to have confidence in someone to do things right, and Ron was the right person. If you are someone who needs work on windows and screens, and if you know how to appreciate and collaborate with a guy who has been in business for 31+ years, then call Ron. read more

I had a small bathroom screen that needed to rescreened. I left it with Karen and was told it would be ready in a couple of days. When it was ready, she called and I picked it up. Great job and the price was very reasonable. They are very friendly, professional, and the quality of work is awesome. I try to spend my money in town with family businesses and I have now found another. Drop in and give them a try. Thank you. read more

Please be advised that I am rating customer service with this review, I did not have any services performed by this company. Called Ron's when a competitor blew me off. What service! While Ron's could not accommodate my needs, Karen kindly gave me the name and number to another competitor in town that was able to help me. She also called me about an hour later to ascertain if my needs were being met. In my experience it is rare for competing companies to assist each other but it speaks volumes to the level of customer service that Ron's provides. Well done to the folks down at Ron's, I will be sure to call again when the need for glass replacement arises! read more

They have extremely reasonable pricing and are very friendly. Karen always went out of her way to get things done. It took a little longer than I wanted but all in all, I am happy. Their installers were a riot and they did a great job. read more

Do yourself a favor and don't call this company for service. They are extremely unreliable and deceptive. I was told that someone would be contacting me by Thursday for service on Friday. I recontacted them on Friday after not receiving a call and was told again that someone would be contacting me. Well it didn't happen. Don't believe them. Save yourself time and trouble. Call a door company that is honest and reliable. read more

Sliding glass door broke, so I removed it from the frame to sweep up glass. Guys come out to replace the glass and they seriously struggled getting the door back on. They spent a long time trying to figure it out. They were seriously read to leave. I had to beg them to get the door back on. Now the door is insanely difficult to open and close. If I were geriatric I wouldn't be able to open the door. Whereas before the glass broke, it was easy to open it, before if you slide it open to hard it would hit the door jam and then bounce back open. Called and spoke with Ron and asked him to come out and fix it. He continued on about how his guys never saw the sliding door in the frame and couldn't test it to see how it rolled. Ron went on to tell me about other customers lying about having perfect rolling doors and how now he test every sliding door before doing a reinstall. I asked if he could send his guys out to look at it again. I even offered to pay for it. He only was interested in a hard up sell for a new sliding door. read more

Ron's Glass and Screen installed windows in my home. Since then we have had nothing but trouble with improper installation every time it rains we have water leaks in several windows I have had to caulk the outside of these windows when the rain stops. So sad.......awful customer service. I dropped off a sliding glass door screen to be re screened a month ago; they lost it. So after a lot of stories of issues that they are experiencing.......I have no screen for my sliding glass door AND they do not care. They offered to come out and measure for anew screen for me but I feel that I have been patience in waiting for 2 weeks. I have used this company for years and never had a problem until now, I guess customer service is a thing of the past. So no I would not recommend Ron's Glass and Screen. Joyce read more

Communication was poor. This was for a rental. There was too much confusion about when they would do the job, whether they had done the job, I cancelled the job because of the delays but it was done anyway. They presented the tenants with the invoice wanting immediate payment instead of sending me the invoice. I called to remind them that the invoice was to come to me and they said they had no memory of me giving them my address for the invoice. I do not recommend them. read more

Ron's Glass and Screen did a fantastic job on my recent window replacement for my entire home. His price was right on; his installers were professional, courteous and finished the job perfectly and on-time as promised. Ron himself came out to inspect their work in progress and at the completion of the task. Kudos to Ron's Glass and Screen for a job well done. I highly recommend them. read more

"I'm not my brother's keeper"..... That's what we were told when we finally asked to talk to the owner of the store and the worker supposedly didn't know where he was. Can you imagine? This after there was clearly no interest on the worker's part to help us out. We wanted to discuss the poor fit (1/4" off each side) of the custom glass top we ordered, in addition to the poor condition (as in a thick coat of dust and some chipped paint on the hand-painted table that my mother-in-law created for us) in which we found our table when we picked it up. Among the low lights?: 1) The order was set up with only my first name and no last name, which made it difficult to track and research, 2) being told to call the glass manufacturer who actually cut the glass (yeah, the company Ron's subcontracted) to complain.....Really? ... Since when should a client ever talk to a subcontractor??? 3) As with another review here, being told to measure the table ourselves. They kept telling us that they never get complaints. That's not what I've seen here. read more
