    Cucumber "shushi" salad bowl

Freshroll is the best! Fresh, vegan Cambodian street food on Cape Cod! I am so grateful this place exists. I have probably tried almost every single item on the menu at this point. I recommend the eponymous fresh rolls (of course) and salads which they do really well and always have a nice crispness. The vegan "tuna" roll is my favorite "shushi" roll as someone who always loved tuna but now avoids due to ethical reasons - it is surprisingly similar to tuna and the combination of creamy mayo and crunchy veg is always a hit. Of the noodles and entrees, I recommend the coconut angel noodles bowl which comes with angel hair rice noodles, fried tofu, fresh veg, mint, and chopped up crispy spring rolls - such a great balance of flavors and textures. The streetfood sandwich - a banh mi variation - is very good too. I am less of a fan of their other entrees like pad thai and fried rice as I do think you can get better versions at other Thai restaurants. The space is small and mostly takeout but they do have a few tables (you will get your food in to-go boxes regardless of takeout or eat in). The staff is very friendly and always super kind. The wait can get long if they are busy so I recommend ordering ahead for pickup. Overall, I highly highly recommend this gem!

Good vegetarian/vegan spot and it's right next to a gluten free paleo bakery. Except spot for people with food preferences

Fresh, delicious and addicting. I have been here three times this year and Everything was delicious! The cauliflower wings are so addictive sweet and pure pleasure. The pat Thai was better than normal pad, Thai. Super fresh and it lasted me for two meals. The sushi vegetable roll was amazing. And that street sandwich had a thick, flaky baguette filled with deliciousness. Everything comes as advertised. This is my new favorite local spot. Note: Everything is cut up and made fresh so expect a longer wait and totally worth it!

My friend and I ventured upon this place randomly since we were hungry for something that wasn't seafood or burgers. We were staying in Cape Cod for vacation and all we had been eating was pretty much seafood and things that we would grill for dinner. (Lobster rolls, oysters, chowder, the quintessential New England eats.) We did not regret coming here!!! The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were so kind, friendly and attentive. Their menu is pretty extensive so it was difficult for us to choose what we wanted to eat. My friend had the hometown sandwich with fried tofu cubes and grilled "scallops" which I think might be king oyster mushrooms drenched in a peanut sauce with crunchy cucumbers in a French baguette. The baguette was crispy and the flavors were so fresh! It is like a vegetarian banh mi. I had the Khmer noodles which were thin rice noodles with various veggies in a peanut coconut sauce. The peanut coconut sauce was to die for. It is nothing like the typical sauce you would get in pad Thai. I say it might even be better! Fresh Roll is a great addition to the area. Lots of great vegan/vegetarian options and they also make fresh organic juices to order. Nothing beats healthy, delicious and nutritious asian dishes!

I had an outstanding birthday dinner at Foglia on Friday with my parents. The fresh pasta made…read morein-house is incredible and everything on the menu is vegan and delicious, even to my somewhat picky omnivore dining partners :). Everyone who works there is friendly and inviting, and even gave us a cute little amuse to start the night and the buckwheat shortbread to end. Here's everything we ordered: Agnolotti stuffed with tofu ricotta, with English peas, bacon, and a savory broth (my entree, I loved this - the broth was quite salty but the peas added a lovely freshness) Fazzoletti e funghi: local blue oyster mushrooms in a white wine cream sauce ‍ (my Mom's entree, also delicious and so umami) "Ivy rose" mocktail with grapefruit, prickly pear, and limeade (delightful!) Appetizers: fried squash blossoms stuffed with tofu ricotta in pomodoro sauce, and housemade focaccia with a trio of whipped butters (thyme and shallot, Calabrian chili, and smoked sweet onion). The ratio of butter to focaccia was more than double what we could use (we ordered more focaccia to spread it on!) but both of these apps were perfect. Foglia burger: house burger patty, tomato jam, garlic aioli, lettuce, onions, pickles, onion ring, housemade focaccia, and spicy agave parsnip fries (my dad's entree and to my delight he really enjoyed it!) Dessert: a gigantic slice of tiramisu (my favorite cake!). This was a huge slab, enough to share and have some leftover for breakfast. A little on the dry side for tiramisu but still really nice. Foglia is such a gem and we had a great time in Bristol, it's a beautiful town. The restaurant is small and cozy but was not too busy when we went. I highly recommend Foglia for a special occasion!

I SO badly wanted to love it but I just can't give the place above a 2 star. The first thing they…read morebrought was almost comical: a nickel-sized square of focaccia with a bit of jam and cheese. I have never in my life been served what I'd consider half a bite of food. I'd almost rather they bring nothing at all than a comically small piece of bread. My food (basil pesto pasta) was good but the quantities are quite small, especially for the price. TLDR: Don't come hungry or on a budget. The real reason for the low rating was the $34 mushroom entree. "Potatoes" here just means two bites of potato, which is kind of crazy considering how cheap potatoes are. "Carrots" meant 4 (kind of sad) carrots, and the mushroom (the main part of the dish) was so small it was comical. My dad was disappointed (he also wanted to love it here) and when they asked how it was, he gave his honest feedback. The waitress took the info back and he repeated his thoughts to the manager about the disappointing portion. He said he only got like two bites of potato and she said "oh they weren't in pyramids?" (Like that resolves the quantity of food?) He repeated again that it was about the quantity and was told "No one has said that about this." I suppose people must only have thought it... Felt really dismissive to say to someone, especially because this plate was apparently new (they said today was the first day they had it). They didn't comp anything or even discount it after the manager came over, which I feel like is standard practice when folks are unhappy with their meal. Felt like she just wanted to shut down the complaint rather than resolve it. They brought us, at the end of the meal, a "thank you" which was 2 lemon candies... there were 3 of us (not that we really wanted them anyway, but weird to not give at least one per person). The atmosphere is relaxed, the place is quite small in a sweet way and it's tucked away from the street, but I will never return. Ridiculous pricing for tiny portions. It felt like a SNL skit.

The chefs are true artists, imagining and executing haute cuisine with skill, precision, and personality. We opted for the optional caviar starter course, which was brilliant. The caviar, served with Pringles potato chips and tangy egg salad, was an exquisite introduction to the tasting menu. The house-made sourdough focaccia with homemade butter may have been the best bread we've eaten. The dayboat scallop was pan-seared and paired with ginger whey-poached pork belly, Anson Mills Carolina Gold lobster congee, and a sake-soy veil. It was incredible. The peas and carrots course of Thumbelina carrots, sweet peas, whipped coconut, and carrot-mint consommé was unlike anything we've experienced before. It was inspired. The fluke was sorrel brioche-crusted and accompanied by razor clam escabeche, sauce romesco, and sea beans, was magnificent. The chef spoke about harvesting the local sea beans himself, and the razor clam purveyor happened to be dining alongside us. It was a memorable and distinctly Cape Cod moment. The intermezzo was a cranberry membrane filled with a refreshing burst of vodka, and delightfully cleansed the palate. The optional foie gras bonbon, encased in milk chocolate, was another triumph. We agreed we would have missed out had we passed on it. It was one of the finest foie gras bites we've ever enjoyed. The tri-tip sirloin course featured American Wagyu with sweet onion soubise and toasted ramp-and-vinegar gnocchi. "Amazing" hardly begins to describe it. The Humboldt Fog cheese course was dramatically torched tableside and served with blueberry shallot jam, toasted milk bread, and smoked almonds. Sublime, artistic, and utterly delicious. The included dessert course featured caramelized white chocolate, lychee, pink guava sorbet, macadamia toffee, white chocolate gel, and olive oil sponge. It was unbelievably good. An optional dessert accompaniment, ordered by every diner, was a layered chocolate, shortbread, and banana tart topped with caviar was a playful and fitting finale. The charming atmosphere, attentive staff, and excellent music had diners on their feet dancing between courses. We finished with their homemade Mignardises and were given a lovely packet to take home which included a homemade scone. This restaurant is wildly civilized. Many courses were served on beautiful handcrafted pieces from Scargo Pottery in Dennis collaboratively designed by the chef and the talented Scargo artist Tina Holl. I offer only praise and gratitude for the extraordinary food, welcoming atmosphere, talented and artistic staff, and a dining experience that reminds us how exceptional Cape Cod dining can be. Clean Slate delivered one of the most memorable meals we've had anywhere on the Cape.
