Fred Meyers. With many one stop shopping around, Freddie's as the locals call it, is my go-to store. I love the prices (many say they are too high but I think they are fair), to their being a liquor store to gas. All in one place! The employees are always friendly and willing to help when you need it. The parking lot is "odd" as it seems extremely small and crazy drivers willing to run you over. A load of incompetent fools working behind the counter. Don't expect to ever pick up your prescription when they tell you it will be ready. They usually wait one or two days to get around to filling your meds. When you arrive to pick up your much needed prescription, they act surprised that you're asking for what they promised and then nonchalantly suggest you wait around for an hour or so for them to get what you need. No apologies. No explanation other than "ya it's been crazy here... an hour is the best we can do..." It's kind of a fun game though- playing the guessing game with the bumbling bag of buffoons. When will you have your Rx ??? Tomorrow??? Today??? In an hour ??? Goddess help you if you're in a hurry or if you're not feeling well. This place sucks monkey balls!!! The only reason this store gets 2 stars is they carry Dead Guy Ale, and in decent quantities, so I know it's not some random fluke. I've been to this store a couple times in the last two weeks, mostly due to the convenient location. Once when I was taking River Road out to Junction City, and yesterday because I had been to Toxic Wings down the street. They are currently doing a massive remodel of the store. So everything is moved, nothing is labeled correctly, isles don't have numbers. These thing change on a consistent basis as well. Products weren't in the same place they were last week. My mother asked if they had a pineapple slicer/peeler thing. I figured it was in housewares. So I go looking. A cashier thought there was some in produce. Turns out it was for apples. So an employee is sent to housewares. He literally walks right up behind me, and stands there looking as I am. Dude was close enough that it totally creeped me out, and I said something. I'm talking mere inches away from me, totally invading my bubble. Which if that wasn't bad enough, he's standing directly behind me. Nobody finds it, I don't really care, as I just want to distance myself from the serial-killer looking guy who keeps inching closer to me and has no concept of personal space. So he says try isle 10, the baking isle. Well, it used to be isle 10, but who knows what it is now. It's a wild goose chase. I said, you lead the way. We'll follow you, just to get him away from me, and distance myself. Mom follows the weirdo, and I get distracted by seeing Dead Guy Ale. At this point, I'm thanking whatever God may be out there for the distraction and distance from the employee! We finally go to check out, and it was just like, I have to get the hell out of this store! I'm not normally freaked out by people who can't maintain their distance, but something about that guy threw up every red flag to me. So we finally check out, my mother is yapping with the cashier, who was the one trying to help her earlier (she gets an A for effort) about the construction, and mom says it's hard to find anything. So then she runs off to find a directory, prolonging my being in the store. Normally, I'm all about customer service, but at that moment, I could've shot them both. My mother for opening her mouth, and the cashier for attempting to solve the problem. Will I return? Maybe... the fact they have Dead Guy Ale will likely bring me back, as the Springfield store doesn't carry it. Will I ask for help again? Not a chance! The only thing I did learn is the construction won't be done until around thanksgiving. So I may stay away until at least then. read more

Fred Meyers is my go to. It has always been even before they transition promoting their partnership with Kroger which has always been a owner. I think they were so overwhelmed at first and had a hard time with the transition, they are still constantly out of stock and the night crew or whoever does the restocking doesn't car if you are walking down the isle with a child in tow they just leave their boxes everywhere which is going to be a hazard. However l the few self check out people like Mo I believe her name is and another older lady are always kind and running around their to assist with any needs. I also love the floral department the best flowers I have ever bought. I did notice a shortage of a lot of things and prices have gone up but I believe we all saw this coming I truly believe in a month or two they will get the store back on track. read more

I love this place! It's nice to have one-stop shopping in a stylish environment. Totally comparable to Market of Choice but with better prices. Their fruit and veggies are top notch. Deli section has a great selection of gourmet cheese, fresh soups, fresh pasta, and sliced to order meats. Try the London Broil roast beef, it's amazing. Even though it's $13 a pound, you won't be sorry. Also, they have the best fried chicken (honestly, I can only recommend it at the Division Ave. location. For some reason W 11th has terrible chicken). It's worth noting that FM has 5 or 6 motorized carts for disabled shoppers. read more

I like this Fred Meyer. We have started using the pick up option for all of our groceries and they are fast, efficient, and very friendly. The prices are much better than Safeway so I come here mostly. They also have a gas station which is super convenient. read more

Fred Meyers is my favorite grocery store in town. Their prices aren't the best, but their customer service it top notch! Which is why we use Fred Meyers as our weekly grocery story. They practice law abiding standards when it comes to the unlawful mandates. They know the law, and aren't bullies like other stores. OSHA has become an excuse for many stores to discriminate against those who cannot wear a mask. But on OSHA's own website they state options like self checkout to keep employees "safe". But what is safe anyway? Can we really control microscopic organisms? Not with masks that's for sure. Fred Meyers is one place I'm proud to shop at during the draconian measures. read more

Beware! The current pharmacy manager (9-17-2019) is careless, hostile, and rude. He actually made wild accusations about me, the customer. The situation would have been funny if it hadn't been so expensive and also detrimental to my health! I will longer be getting my prescriptions there. Since the remodel, the aisles are wider, which is nice. The produce section is larger too. However, it's hit or miss whether they'll have things in stock, especially in the organic section. It's so frustrating when you have to go to another store to get a basic item, like organic cilantro. I've never had this problem with Albertson's, so I know that it's possible to avoid, yet Freddy's hasn't figured it out. I would give than 3, possibly even 2 stars for being out of stock of things I need. However, they have other perks that make it up. They have a kids' center where you can shop while someone else plays with your kids!! And it's free! That's amazing! Also, they have ClickList, which is where you buy your groceries online, arrange a time to pick it up, and then they put all the groceries in your car for you. It's super convenient and affordable. It's also nice that you can buy virtually anything at Freddy's. Food, clothes, electronics, furniture, and on and on. read more

This is the craziest parking lot and Fred Meyer in town! I would rather go to the one on W. 11th because this one is so hard to get in and out of if it's busy at all. I have also experienced crazy people fighting for parking spots and I am not at all interested in being a part of that. The store itself is fine, it's similar to any other Fred Meyer in the area. I would give a try if I knew it was a time where not many people were shopping but after that last experience I don't know if that will ever happen! I stopped in Tuesday morning to pick up a raspberry pie from the bakery. I was thrilled at first. I grabbed what I thought was the last one in stock. I get home with it and it wasn't a raspberry pie. It was a cherry pie. Someone put a raspberry pie sticker on it. I read the sticker and assumed it was raspberry. Pretty disappointing. People in the bakery need to pay better attention when placing sticker labels on pies. read more

I like Fred Myer's when it comes to some things. Some times you can find good deals on things, and they have a decent produce section. But my review today is based on product I purchased. I knew I should have stuck to a salon, but it was convenient and I honestly didn't think there would be a difference although I have family and friends in the beauty industry. I bought Bumble and Bumble Cocoa shampoo because I was almost out. When I used the one from Fred Myer's it felt different. Like it was almost watered down. I'm not sure. But you could tell it had a different texture. I then looked at the 2 bottles side by side and noticed they were not the same. They looked similar. But not the same. Buyer please be aware! You are paying the same price here that you will at the salon and this is fake and does not work as well. London, or Calypso the Salon has this product. I know this is more than likely not Fred Myer's doing as they are just the ones just putting product on their shelves. read more

Freddys is a really nice store. Very open store with lots of lighting. Deli had a lot of selections. Starbucks is nestled in the corner and they have a Chase branch as well. Prices were a little high, but not Market of Choice high. Parking is plentiful, and its pretty clutch being next to the liquor store and having a gas station. This place does get crazy busy at times though. I've seen parking be not so plentiful as well. Hit and miss I guess... all and all, it's not a bad spot, I've always been treated good, and I like the self pay lanes better here. A great store, if you are not a disabled customer. If you shop in store, you'll find that the electric shopper's carts do not have enough charge to take you once around the store. Getting stuck in an aisle is very time consuming and a pain. If you shop on line and try the pick up service, you'll find that a lot of the time the electric tablets which are supposed to be brought to your car, if you need to use your Oregon Trail Card, don't work and that necessitates you walking through the parking lot into the store, waiting, and having to walk back to your car. This is tough on many disabled customers, but you'll be told you must do it to get your order. In my most recent pick up experience, last week, I had to sit in my car, in sweltering heat while the new employee (who came out to the pick up area to deliver my order) was trained on the tablet, forcing me to wait meanwhile. FM should train their new employees BEFORE they interact with customers, not on the customers' time. If you have a complaint about your order or the pick up service, you may experience a very unpleasant phone encounter with Dan, an Assistant Manager, who will threaten to hang up on you because he doesn't like being asked to repeat back a phone number you asked him to repeat because the phone connection was bad! He may hang up on you if you ask him to repeat the number back again, as he did with me! I never used abusive language with him, but he hung up on me anyway. I hope the call was recorded, but FM says that they don't record and that's how Dan may get away with abusing complaining customers, as he did with me. This is abuse for absolutely no good reason. If FM continues to employ him, I won't go back. Why would I spend money by giving it to a store who allows an employee to abuse me for NO REASON? I have run into occasional other problems at FM over the last three years, mostly involving accommodations for disabilities. It is a great store, but not for the disabled community or for customers expecting civil treatment.. read more

The last three times that I have shopped here, many staff members did not wear masks And were not able to maintain social distance from me while doing their jobs. I have been shopping at this store for 38 years and have seen it go through several renovations and lots of staff. It used to be my favorite store, but ever since this last remodel, I avoid shopping here. This is a grocery store, not a bar, but Kroger/Fred Meyer has decided to build a bar inside of the store. Way to encourage drinking and driving, alcoholism, and expose children to it. Since I choose not to take my child into bars and wish not to frequent them myself, I choose not to return to your store. This coupled with the fact that Fred Meyer stopped carrying some of the items that I regularly bought there in the past has helped me to decide not to return. Did I mention their cramped, overly busy parking lot where you're sure to get hit by one of those drunk drivers after they drink at Freddy's bar? Not a great shopping experience. I was at the store today buying groceries. I had a rebate coming to me today and I told the checker twice that I had purchased some soup bowls that I wanted credit for or I wouldn't have bought them. She totally forgot to give me the rebate credit today that I needed. She said I would have to go to customer service and have them recheck all my groceries and then give me my credit. I told her that would be an inconvenience to me since I had a schedule to keep. I have to drive out of my way to come back in and buy more groceries to get my rebate credit not happy! read more

Been shopping at this location off and on for 35 years, more off lately since I don't live in the state. But I found myself here to buy party supplies recently. There's plenty of parking. The store is laid out pretty well. Aisles are nice and wide, which matters more to me as I age. Also well lit, which matters more as well. They had everything I was looking for. Bagels, Peanut Butter. Cookies. Vitamin Water. Granola. Crackers. Bananas. Angel Food Cake. And Beer. What? That's not what you buy for a party? Don't judge me. Actually I was shopping for a 216-mile relay run and getting snacks and beer for my teammates. Freddy's had it all. Prices were reasonable. Cashier was friendly. And the beer selection was vast enough that I stood there in front of it for a while until an old guy walked by and said "Hard to choose, huh?" and I replied "Yeah, especially when you are buying for 11 other people." and he said "They aren't here. I have used this pharmacy for over 10 years and they have consistently provided good service. However, after moving back to Eugene and using their service once again, something has gone terrible wrong with the pharmacy. I have had several occasions where they promised a proscription and they did not have the medicine. Once they gave my reserved prescriptions to another customer leaving me high and dry. These Fred Meyer's are absolutely terrible. They are completely disorganized always too busy to serve their customers and a mess. I am new to town and I've now picked up three prescriptions which they have managed to botch all of. I waited 30 minutes for Sudafed on West 11th with a terrible cold only to have them tell me oh we're out of stock and we're not allowed to order anymore will transfer it to 60 Division Ave. for you I said thank you. I gave them two days I was going to head over but figured I would call first they said oh did you want that filled? Yes that's why the West 11th store transferred it over to you maybe your pharmacies can communicate better on your patients behalf. I called 60 division today to pick up another prescription the pharmacy hangs up on me immediately so I can only assume they are too busy and don't want to talk to customers. I drive over after West 11th told me to come here to get my other prescription here and I got a text message saying it was ready only to meet a rude pharmacy manager who would barely let me speak. I had to ask him to allow me to continue speaking then he gave me a lesson on how it was his turn to speak, I really don't care about any of that you jerk. If you are going to interrupt me the first time I am speaking to you and say are you done yet then that's being a jerk towards your customers. How are you possibly the manager at this pharmacy??? There is this thing called customer service and the free market economy, if you don't like your customers they will go elsewhere. I have watched a CVS go out of business because of this. you are not infallible sir just because you have a line out the door try to answer your phone and treat your customers with respect. I will never deal with Fred Meyer for anything ever again.. The layout in the store is a split in half and horribly confusing, there's always lines at the gas station and I've dealt with several semi rude employees at the stores now, never again megastore, Walmart is better than this!
