I worked for Fred Meyer for 10 years and I am aware of the emphasis placed on having the customer receive excellent customer service. On my most recent visit I was looking for a specific item in grocery. The associate helping me appeared stressed because he was also running the self service check out. I really don't know why he didn't contact an associate working the floor if he was unable to assist me. Instead he walked along in a hurry and provided no information nor did he locate someone who could assist me. He basically walked down an aisle and said I need to get back to the registers. I was just left hanging there. I have arthritis in my knees and can't walk or stand for long periods of time so I really couldn't afford to go looking by myself. Fred Meyer, in the past, has provided excellent customer service. For me this time, not so good. I've been shopping in a competitor's store and associates have a handheld device that allows them to key in a fee words and the device lists where in the store the item is located and to ensure the customer finds it the associate shows the customer where the item is. Their return policy is pretty poor in general, but the electronics manager is one of the rudest people I have ever met. I purchased a product that did not work at all, and had the misfortune of meeting her when I wanted to return it. She was not only rude when I tried to talk to her about returning it but she was also sarcastic, uneducated about the products, and tried to completely ignored me sitting at the checkout counter once I was trying to finish the transaction. My issue isn't with Fred Meyer but with ClickList. I made an online order earlier in the after noon and selected the pick up time of 7-8pm as it was their only slot left available for today, September 4. This is my first time using the service and I was expecting a text sometime around the expected pick up time. No text. So I call customer service and spoke with someone who said it's in progress and that they "have it." I go to the store customer service desk since I didn't receive a text and the rep who was very nice and informative advised that since they close at 8pm they can't release my goods to me or process the order, his words to be exact. He proceeds to check the cold storage room for my groceries, asks me which items I ordered, I showed him my order that was on the app and he said none of those items were there in the cold storage room. I should have checked Click Lists hours of operation but still not even a peep from them earlier advising that they'll have to process the order tomorrow or something since I chose the latest time for pick up. How was I to know they wouldn't release my items to me beyond 8pm since they close at 11? (or have even collected my items for pick up for the selected time) A notification would have been nice so I wouldn't have had to drive there to be told my items that I already paid for would be available the next day. Not a really good experience for a first time user. However customer service did call the store to have my card refunded. If it wasn't for the fuel points, I'd use another grocer. read more

I love my Fred Meyer. Every time I go in there, the staff is so incredibly pleasant and helpful. It's a well kept grocery store, though I will admit some aisles can get crowded since the redesign. I can always find what I need at Freddy's! read more

CHASE BANK? Let me preface this by at least stating that I TRIED to work with this location twice, and the one by my work once. Three STRIKES and you're out. I do not see an option to give them ZERO Star because, in all honesty, that is what these guys deserve. I will also call into the 800 number after writing this review to see if they'll do anything about this. I have had an account with Chase since 2006 or '07, since the WaMu days. Yes, WaMu. Washington Mutual. And they've been such a great bank, that I've stuck with them. Since then, I've had a few different types of Credit Cards and still do. All account activities have been smooth to read and decipher; however, that is not where my complaint lies. I went into this location multiple times, only to be left utterly disappointed. I don't know if it's my skin color or what, but 2 locations and similar treatment? Something is WRONG. I currently bank with Bank of America, Umpqua Bank, and Chase. Believe it or not, the latter is very close to being terminated after my new incident. By the way, these 3 are not my only banks, but the one's I use often, and BofA being my main. I was thinking about opening up a Savings accounts which would later become a Business Account. I explained this to John, who very much advised that I come in with an appointment. Having looked around, the location was not busy at all and I wondered why he didn't even ask me to sit tight and he'd take me as a walk-in. He explained that it would take about 30-35 minutes minimum to make the account, and would like to give me the attention I deserve and not just rush through it. I said that sounds fair; the time was roughly 5:45-ish, and they close at 7pm (so ample amount of time to have had me sit and take care of me then), so I said alright I'm good with making an appointment, and only if I can see him around 6pm. He said that would work, and that I show up no later than 6:15pm, because he's reserving this time for me. I said that is fine, and that I would be there for sure between those times. Fast forward to my appointment today, which was at 6:00pm (he had jotted it for 6:15pm on the calendar). I got there at 5:55pm, and the lady there immediately tells me that John has taken a walk-in, and he won't be with me anytime soon, and whether I'd like to just sit tight until he's finished with them or reschedule for another day. I explained to her that I went through the Walk-In situation and was lectured about how I should make an appointment FIRST. Now he's taken a walk-in customer? Is it because they're white and I'm not? I didn't say this part to her, but I did explain to her that he told me that I must make an appointment & that is exactly what I did. And I told her I can't wait that much more because I've gotten the run-around from 2 locations now, and I've simply wanted to make an account. What is so hard about doing that? I reluctantly told her that I would wait and wait is exactly what I did. After waiting for John for 30 minutes, I decided it was time to leave and go open an account elsewhere. Granted most banks are closed after 6, the 7pm time appealed to me. Now I will put up with the hours of another bank, and go deposit my money elsewhere. I have banked with a lot of different banks & locations in the past, but never have I felt more neglected and rejected by a bank. John, if you get to read this, I gave you over an hour to redeem yourself, and you did not have the decency to call me back and apologize which further confirms the notion that my money's not good there. I have never written a review before, but I guess we all start somewhere. This should tell you how poorly I think of this location, and its staff. Oh, and let's not forget the one that's near the Cornell exit (about 5 minutes from this location). 7320 NE Butler to be exact. But at least they did not make an appointment to see me & then see a white walk-in customer over the brown one. I can tell you with confidence that John is a racist, & I will not be returning to this location ever again. read more

Employees aren't always the nicest here at this Fred Meyers. I've gone to plenty of Fred Meyers but this one it seems like a hit and miss with nice employees. But its an okay location. I have been going to Fred Meyer off TV Highway for two to three years every week spending anywhere from $100 to $250. I always use my ATM card. If you were to look on their video surveillance system you would see me there every week or every other week. If you look at my Fred Meyer shoppers card you would see the list of groceries I get, and I pretty much stick to the same list every week. However , today August 9th 2020 I came in and had forgotten my debit card at home. I wrote a check and it was not accepted. I asked to speak with the manager who came over with all sorts of attitude he was not coming there to help me he was coming there to tell me that there's nothing he can do and that he cannot accept my check and in his eyes i could see he already had his Mind up before we even spoke. He even went as far as to say "if anything is on your record like fraud ..." and I said "check fraud?" Picked up my kid out of the cart and left $110 of groceries. I GET policies and procedures. I worked in administrative work for 20 years. If they would have been nice and said you know what ma'am I am so sorry but our system just doesn't let us blah blah blah I would have said " oh my gosh I totally understand don't even worry about it I'll run and get my card and come back." But they were so rude they were so incredibly rude they had no heart they didn't give two flying shitz and they let me know by their attitudes. And the lady that was working the till and the manager so very rude. The young lady cashier looks up and says " well do you have any other form of payment?" and im thinking WTF I shop at Fred Meyer what do you think? i have multiple bank accounts ? no I don't have another form of payment it was a horrible horrible experience especially because I spend so much money at that goddamn store every f****** year it is ridiculous I feel so mistreated and just feel horrible and I don't know why their system wouldn't accept my check other than I have never written a check there maybe before? The only other thing I can think of is I just moved and perhaps their system couldn't identify me my address I don't know but I sure as hell have never committed check fraud so that piece of s*** manager who more or less implied I had check fraud on or in my background can go to hell. Do not purchase gift cards from Fred Meyer. My son bought me an Amazon card from Fm, gave it to me for my birthday an hour after he bought it. I bought a car battery for 110 bucks in beaverton from their district one and within 6 months time the battery went bad while I was in California with no Fred Meyers and I had to buy the cheapest battery I could find without turning in the messed up battery. It came out to 143 bucks. So I spent 253 bucks for a battery. It's not in their policies says this Fred Meyer here off division and I had a rude remark from costumer service from the male associate and the female felt bad but didn't know what to do. I dislike the attitude I got. I was stranded in California and could not do anything but try to charge and battery at a auto zone and they tried and told me it was a bad battery. So next time you have to carry your battery to a store to charge it I hope you would know the bullshit I had to go through. I have receipts and can show from card transition I bought the battery. So Something that should at least last a year to 5 years lasted barely 6 months. And to come back to hear their policies fuck you over. I could not get a return. They said they can switch it out. But I said wtf am I suppose to do with two batteries.... so much for shopping at Fred Meyers I will not be going to any of your stores and will get my friends and family to do their shopping at other places of competition. I stopped by this Fred Meyer on the TV highway after work about 9:00 PM for a couple of minor items. Proceeded to the self-checkout and swipe my credit card, and......no receipt. Now I'm unsure if the transaction went through or not, so I approach one of the checkers and explain what happened, and she leaves to find the manager. After about 10 minutes she returns and says she cant find the manager, and I should come back in the morning. At this point I just want to go home so I leave all my items at he store and go home. I forgot about the entire matter until a $9.84 charge from Fred Meyer on that date shows up on my credit card statement weeks later. I went back to the store with my Visa statement to see the manager. After a long wait the manager shows up and I tell my story and present my credit card statement. The obviously irritated manager essentially blows me off telling me to call the corporate office, to which I responded by saying " you have to be kidding....for nine bucks?" Now he gets all huffy and decides to refund my money, but he is going to make a HUGE production out of it, and he is going to make sure I KNOW he is angry with me for wasting his precious time, stomping around making a paper record of each item rung up, presenting me with a stack of documents when he was finished. I have a term for businesses like this: "last resort". I will still occasionally shop at this Fred Meyer, but very infrequently, as in nothing else is available. read more

this store isn't freddies anymore. they should go ahead and change the name to krogers and quit pretending. its no longer a one-stop and you're done store. you can't find anything anymore, they don't carry even basic stuff, they took out the nutrition center and mixed everything together. there's no express lane, they are trying to force everyone to use self-checkout by having few checkers available at busy times. the checkers and store employees seem undertrained and sometimes rude, except the remaining few that have been there awhile. no longer my go-to store. i miss the old freddies. read more

The jewelry department is inept. I took an 80 year old Bulova in to get the band replaced. The lady warped the case so much the movement now falls out. She suggested I super glue it together. I told her I'm not about to super glue gold. She then proceeded to tell me it's probably from replacing the battery too much. Antique watches don't have batteries. I took it home and the crystal popped off. I'll be taking it to a real jewelry store and everything else I own from now on. read more

My family and I shop at this store on average twice a week. We spend hundreds of dollars a month here. On April 25th I was at this store. I was buying everyday items bent to pick up some bathroom cleaner, more specifically Clorox with bleach in the spray bottle. I picked it up from the top. The item was on the second from the bottom shelf. As a tall person grabbing an item at a low level from the top is not uncommon. To my surprise the whole bottom of the bottle dropped to the floor. It was obviously defective. Clorox with bleach was all over me, spraying all over my shoes, ruining them and all of my skin and jeans. I turned to see a mom and her two kids, I directed them away and immediately found someone to help clean it up. The person I found happened to be the manager. The cleaning crew came. One lady was so sympathetic as I stood there covered in bleach. However your manager did not seem so concerned. I said I was fine but the product had ruined my shoes and probably my jeans, luckily my jeans were ok. My shoes were not they were cloth and the bleach immediately stained them. The manager suggested I fill out a claim. I agreed but on the way to do that he said that I should never pick up a bottle without checking to see if it was properly closed. I didn't say anything but that didn't sit right with me. What happens if it was my kid who picked up the bottle to help me, did he expect a child to check a lid in a store with new products? I filled out a claim. I was eventually contacted by Sedgwick who questioned me and made me feel like it was my fault I got bleach all over myself in your store with a "brand new" bottle. I promise I didn't poor it on myself on purpose. Then they asked if I had witnesses? Really? You mean the mom and kids I encouraged to stay away so they wouldn't get bleach all over them. No I didn't get any witnesses. I got help to clean it up. I didn't make a stink. I didn't even get an apology. My question is do I the customer even matter to you? I guess spending hundreds of dollars a month at your store is no big deal because instead of you apologizing and maybe giving me a $20 gift card to replace my shoes your claims department told me that Fred Meyer is not responsible for everything that happens to their customers in their stores. They denied my claim and blamed me. I'm disappointed in you and your customer service. Also very curious to see how many more customers have made claims against you and were told that your not responsible for what happens to them in your store. Hmmm, maybe enough for a class action lawsuit. read more
