The front counter lady must hate her job, she's so unfriendly. Hate doing business at places where customer service is not priority but there are not a lot of options out there for medical equipment so I had to come here. read more

I don't like to give 5 stars unless I cannot think of anything I'd want to see improved. That's the case with Beaverton Pharmacy. As others have recounted I needed to use BP for prescription compounding. Most pharmacies dispense medication just in the form that comes from a pharmaceutical manufacturer; in my case I needed 1.5mg of a drug that is only manufactured in a 50mg tablet. Beaverton Pharmacy can compound the dosage I need from the raw materials. This is why they need payment in advance, and also why it takes more time to get an Rx filled. I dealt with four employees including the pharmacist, and they all answered my questions and gave me the help I came for cheerfully. And better still it was obvious they worked well together. It's a nice sign when employees comprise a good team. All in all I'm glad that I'll be coming here for my refills for this compounded Rx. They're a medical supply business, not a pharmacy within a general store like Walgreens, so they also have a wide variety of other medical-related items to take care of lots of one's physical ailments. :) read more

Doesn't return phone calls, doesn't fill prescriptions in a timely manner, rude staff.

Absolutely superb local pharmacy. The expertise of the staff is unlike anything. I have experienced it in the other pharmacy. We bought a transport wheelchair for my mother, which is superb. I've been having a health challenge that my doctor had not been successful in knocking out. I spoke to the pharmacist and found an over-the-counter remedy that solved my issue, extremely grateful for this place, which is a legend and Washington County. read more

Wonderful pharmacy with a wide range of items for home care including walkers with seats and shower chairs. I could not find any of those items at Walgreens. Ever since I acquired my caregiving function for two and a half old people and a somewhat accident prone child, I have needed this place. The first time I had to look for that acoutrement of old aged bathing... something I'd never thought of (a plastic armed sturdy shower chair) I had to ask where to get it. Beaverton Pharmacy was the unanimous suggestion. Ok. The parking lot is scary...a lot of driving seniors including my dad...park on the street if you can. It was easy. Walk in, ask the nice people for help (think small town pharmacy like out of the 60's), get help, purchase item leave happy. So over Christmas when my father in law showed up precariously balanced on two canes ( he's the half because he lives out of town), hubby groaned " he needs a walker" and I directed him here , where I had recently purchased one with my dad. The two of them returned with the walker having had a happy shopping experience. They both loathe shopping, too. Splints, slings, knee braces, medication boxes with multiple sections, wrist wraps, crutches...we have gotten it all from Beaverton Parmacy. They also have Russell Stover chocolate as all good pharmacies should, plus tons of gifty stuff...some junky some nice. Today while exchanging Princess' knee brace I eyeballed some green pretty swirly glasses. Cuute. I passed. Princess pined for a soap that looked like a rock. It was kinda cool, but not today. This place is really a staple in Beaverton. Most of the customers that they get I truly believe have probably shopped here since they were children... Centrally located and easy to park at this business is spectacular. They really do have a lot of great offerings and many are quite different from their competitors. The things that they sell here seem thought about, like somebody actually took their time ordering things from difference vendors. I even like the way things are set up around the store. For example, a large percentage of this store is Pharmacy based... So you are sick and need a prescription, you are crippled and need a cane, you are bleeding and you need some bandages... But, then you finish your Pharmacy shopping... What a pretty scarf! Oh I do need a birthday card for my cousin. Oh what a lovely soap! I always end up buying 10 - $20 of random things on my way in or on my way out. A few weeks ago I needed to buy a new cane. Looking at the canes I see brown, black, silver... Peacock you say? For $3 more? Yes please!! I get a crazy amount of compliments on that cane too! When I bought the cane I also found several small adult coloring books, a beautiful Rock with a painting of a dragonfly on it for a friend, and maybe another one for me. I also grabbed a couple birthday cards that were unique. I barely resisted three different lotions and piles more!!! read more

I've been going to Bvtn Pharmacy for ~20 years (since I was in high school) and not really sure why it's taken me so long to review the place. They've had their ups and downs as have I so cut them some slack...especially when it's obvious the issues may be about certain employees and not their processes. They're an "old" business in Beaverton and one that has worked hard to adapt to the times. It kind of always feels like they are remodeling but I'm glad to see it...again, more proof they are adapting. Ordering refills online, via the app or by phone is super convenient. And then if you can squeeze your car through their very tight drive-thru, you can pick it up later (I usually give my Rx 1-2 days before I expect them to be ready). The current staff in there is awesome. They are friendly and very, very helpful. The other day I came through the drive thru to pick up an Rx and realized I also needed some ibuprofen. When the tech returned with my Rx, I told her I needed to get ibuprofen too and I will just come inside. She told me to stay put and left to gather some options. She returned and let me pick out which "incarnation" of ibuprofen I wanted...super sweet of her. Today (10/10/16) I went for a run at lunch and used the chance to stop in and pick up a refill. The gal was awesome and recycled the unnecessary paperwork/receipts and then she packed the pill bottle with cotton so the pills wouldn't bounce around as I ran. There are only a couple things I would ever ding them on: (1) their hours aren't the most convenient. They open late (9:30am), close early on Saturdays (3pm) and are not open at all on Sundays. Sadly I might need to move some of my more high priority Rx to a Rite Aide (2) they still haven't put in bike parking. SW Broadway St is now a "bike boulevard" and is painted with sharrows to reflect that. I know not all of their clientele is mobile enough to ride but Beaverton is very progressive with respect to being bike friendly so I hope they catch up. Some awesome features of Bvtn Rx: (1) there is a ton of spacing between OTC products on the shelf. It makes it easier to read, grab and not feel like your senses are being assaulted by pharmaceutical marketing. (2) they have a great selection of braces and other supports. If they don't have it, they can order it for you too. (3) the customer service of the pharmacists. Even when they're busy they never make you feel any less important. They are patient and willing to answer all qtns no matter how nutty. (4) they also compound prescriptions Bottom line, give them a chance if you haven't yet. read more

I switched from Walgreens to Beaverton Pharmacy because over the past 6 to 7 years I have found that BP is not only convenient, but efficient, little hassle. They are less than a 1/2 mile if that from my home and of my fiancé's work, so he or I will drop by to pick up scripts as needed. The customer service is always great, very personable and if there is a script issue with my doctor, they are usually quick to resolve. This morning I need to pick up a script but I also realized yesterday that I have pink eye! I will hopefully obtain an over-the-counter curing treatment for this today this also; ugh! Let me start out by saying I absolutely LOVE this place. Yes, it's not as conveniently located for me as Walgreens, Safeway and other pharmacy chains but I'll gladly give up that convenience for the personal care and service they give! The pharmacists are quite knowledgable and friendly, especially Tom. I've been getting several 'scripts there on a regular basis and it's my go-to place. In fact, I have refused time and time again to go with my Health Plan's mail in pharmacy because I'd rather go to Beaverton Pharmacy! They also have a wide variety of "at home health" items like walkers, canes, etc. and dedicated staff to that area. Special note that they have a terrific selection of cards for all occasions, including some of the funnier ones I've found outside of a Hallmark. :) read more

I was in the store today and was appalled that there was an employee walking past me (twice) with no mask on. When I complained to the person at the pharmacy counter he said that she worked in the back, as if that was okay. I pointed out to him that she wasn't in the back, she was within a foot or two from me and asked to speak to the manager. When I spoke with him, his only response was, "I acknowledge that I hear you". Such a strange response! I won't be back. read more

Giving this three stars because I love that this isn't part of a chain. Service is always quicker than at competitors as well. However, I'm speechless about PPE practices here during the pandemic. On previous visits I've seen some staff with their mask down at their neck when not serving customers. Today I saw one member of staff avoiding an elderly customer out on the floor while not wearing any mask at all. How does this even happen?! How can you work at a pharmacy but not wear a mask?! You'd think of all places a pharmacy would have their staff wear a mask. How do you even get a job at a pharmacy if you are too dumb to understand why a well fitting mask matters, especially when talking to the elderly? No 6ft was being kept either. I bought some knee braces from Beaverton Pharmacy about 2 months ago. They carry some of things that you can't find in other stores so I guess that's why they take advantage, but anyway, back to my experience. When I bought the knee brace, I told the gentleman who was helping us (and he was awesome) that I will be taking the brace outside the country and if it doesn't work, what's ur return policy if its longer than 30 days, he said 30 days unused we can return and after than only exchange. So fair, I bought it and unfortunately had to return it 7 weeks later, they charged me 20% restocking fee on an unused brace and I was buying different knee brace in exchange. The restocking fee was not mentioned when I bought the item, neither was it written on the receipt and on the return receipt they marked it as a discount. I asked them to show me where the policy is written and they said they don't have it written but its a policy and they have to charge it. The lady checking us out didn't seem aware of the policy, the person at the front who we talked to first told her to charge us restocking fees. So I think their policy was made up on the fly. I think 20% restocking fee is very unreasonable and to not mention it upfront , and not ring it as restocking item, is not fair treatment of their customers. We needed another brace so we bought it inspite on not being happy about how they make policies on the fly. In the future, I am definitely avoiding this place. I am sure with more research I can find their speciality items else where. read more

It is unfortunate that Beaverton Pharmacy was not honest with me about denying services to me. They are a privately owned business so they can deny you very easily and use that power. I felt like their staff gave me the loop around a lot, some were probably not trained well enough. This made my health care decline. This place has consistently poor customer service. Pharmacy staff will outright ignore you when you are waiting at the counter. Prepare to have your prescriptions routinely messed up and have to wait 30-45 minutes for them to fix them. Also weird hours ensure they're never open when you need them. read more

I am new to the area and some one told me about Beaverton Pharmacy. Wow, I spent a lot of time faxing and talking to them and setting up my account and shown a lot of patients with them for two weeks. PLEASE, I DON'T NEED ANY REPLIES, BECAUSE I WILL NOT RESPOND! I have very critical medicines. I told them about my situation, gave them a list of current medications and my doctors names and phone numbers of my specialists with a copy of my ID's. I even had a nurse that had spoken to them about my critical prescriptions and so about every other day or so they had other questions too. I wait almost two weeks, (Himmm I should call them, I am desperate, I am about out!) Someone called me, I return the call and the Pharmacist and he is out. I replied, I need to ask about my prescriptions, a woman named Linda took the call. Now, before I tell you what she said! I had to contact a more professional speaking pharmisist at another Pharmacy, I told them about my needs of these critical prescriptions.......Okay found another pharmacy and they had me set up in 30 minutes,,,,,,,,,,,,,shhooo. They said will have it ready for you, Great!!!! I called back and asked to speak to the proprietor which happens to be Wade. I told him this is so regretfully upsetting! He stated" Oh, so you want me to be underpaid!" I said "that has nothing to do with me." And I said your person stated to me " This is what you get when you deal with a small town pharmacy" The pharmacist asked who said this, I replied Linda, now go ask her to put that in her pipe and smoke it! So, I asked him, Are you going to do this to all of you customers? Lesson, well learned by Linda! So I guess the morel is do not go to a small town pharmacy! You be the judge! read more

The good: they have a wide variety of items and when you finally get a staff member to help you, they really do try to help. The bad: I walked around trying to find what I needed for five minutes while a group of three employees talked loudly and looked up map quest directions, I think there were maybe two other customers. I went to the pharmacy to ask for help and the pharmacist flagged down someone to help me. The employees didn't know much about what I was looking for, which was a standard thing for most medical supply stores (I know, they're a pharmacy...). However, an employee (tall, Brown hair, skinny, fashionably dressed) found something that might have worked except it might have caused a reaction, which was why I was looking for something different in the first place. She, went and looked up the genre of item I was looking for and found a local store that might carry it. Very impressive and that's the only reason they're getting 4 stars. Otherwise they tend to be a little over priced and the experience is a little frustrating. read more

They are celebrating their 75 year of business this week, and have a good selection of items for the elderly or elder care.
