A Trader Joe's in Beaverton located in the Beaverton Town Square plaza that has some Asian food. Stopped by here since we had some time and went looking for some things to drink. They have non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. Overall it was decently stocked with items right before Christmas. The only thing is the parking lot I believe is a little small and this plaza gets busy. read more

TJ's is the best. This was my OG TJ's. The employees here are so friendly. The store is big but it could have some wider aisles and areas as it gets POPPIN' during the busy times and it's hard to manuever!!! Great Trader Joe's with a large footprint! We enjoyed the friendly staff and selection, with plenty of new options for us to indulge in. The parking is easy, but drivers are fast, and don't seem to worry about or care that pedestrians/shoppers are coming and going, so be wary and extra careful. This location has small carts for kids, which is a big plus...and also a danger to ankles. :) read more

Trader Joe's, you did it again. The Goose and I rated these cookies from favorite to least favorite (all were delicious though). 1. Peppermint (one of the greatest desserts ever imho) 2. Dark Chocolate 3. Peanut Butter 4. Ginger Funny note about the Eggnog and Cocoa Cream: They are wine based (not the funny part but I wanted to acknowledge to those not into taking risks that these don't taste at all like wine mixed with eggnog, and are in fact quite delicious). Trader Joe's prides itself on not having artificial flavors and colors, however when purchasing this there was a note saying that this does in fact have artificial colors and basically they forgot and will never do it again and they are so sorry because they are against artificial flavors. The funny thing is I saw this display every few days for about two weeks before they actually put up that note, meaning the product was available for many days before anyone noticed it. I wonder if an upset customer said something.... Regardless, I highly recommend all of these. read more

During the a Pandemic, Traders has taken their already superior customer service up another notch. They have implemented a process for entering the store, only allowing a certain number of shoppers in the at a time to allow for social distancing. They sanitize every cart and basket before handing it to you, with gloves of course. The store itself was going through a remodel, increasing their footprint when this Pandemic hit. I'm hoping the new footprint will allow this particular store to be better organized. Out of all the Traders I visit, and I go to them all, this one has one of the most challenging layouts. Not deducting stars because they have all the amazing products and wonderful customer service. Parking gets a bit crazy sometimes because of their location at this strip mall, but people come and go so just be patient. Traders has the best prices on bagged salads, dried fruits, nuts and cheese. Their precooked meals have been a blessing during these times when I just don't want to chop, prep, cook and clean up after one more meal! Green Chile Enchiladas to the rescue! A pack of four for $6.99 that taste better than those served at most restaurants. I put them in a glass dish and bake in my toaster oven for 20 minutes. They are stuffed with white meat chicken and have just the right amount of green chile sauce, cojita cheese and scallions. Another winner is their gyro meat. 9 slices of pressed beef that you fry for less than a minute. Paired with Trader's Tzatziki sauce and pita plus the red onions, tomatoes and cucumbers I had at home, it made for a quick, delicious and healthy meal. Of course their treats are just as wonderful, especially if you want to make sure you have your favorites available while in lockdown. Dark chocolate peanut butter cups, olive oil popcorn, dark chocolate mints, sour gummy fish, and ginger snap cookies just to name a few! Checkout lines move quickly. The staff is not only friendly, they are super helpful if you are trying to find specific items. I'm a huge fan of Trader Joe's and every interaction just underscores my devotion. Thanks for all you do everyday, but especially during Covid-19 when cleanliness means staying healthy. read more

I love salad and this is legit where its at for certain things. I have had so many people over the years talk nonstop about the Trader Joes prepared foods. I cannot speak to that because its not my thing and I really have not tried any of those. Though...the freaking Christmas cookies they do that are minty and tasty...yeah, those are crack. They also have these lemon marionberry muffins which are pretty addicting. Lets talk cost effective: WINE. For real, you can really score at Trader Joes and over the years I have. They have an excellent selection if you are into red or white and I do both. Somedays I am a hummingbird and they have a great selection of the liquid sugar. They also have some pretty amazing reds and both are at great price points. For my wedding I provided a crazy amount of wine and thanks to Oregon having some great local wineries with excellent case discounts I did just that but I also wanted a selection of the extras like chardonnay for my mother in law etc. Buying a case of a few odd bottles here was perfection and I have had friends just buy cases of the cheapo stuff. You do you! There are several things I get at Trader Joes - and this is from someone who wants two things: meat and veggies...that's just how I roll. I grab bags of their salad - they have an excellent selection of baby lettuces, spinach, kale etc. They also have gorgeous micro greens which last way longer than sprouts. I highly recommend picking up a container of the Persian cucumbers which are so crazy flavorful and have an incredible crunch for your salad! They also usually have a great medley of radishes and a few other items depending on where you want to take your salad. For meats I am a huge fan of their frozen swordfish - one of the few places you can get swordfish too! Also - I looooove their cuts of Atlantic salmon. If you are looking to some BBQ action I highly recommend their packages of pork for the grill which is already marinated and crazy delicious. Also, cheese lovers rejoice since their pricepoints for cheese are great and their selection even better. I can never leave without a container of their Meditteranean hummus and a package of their sesame crackers which I use instead of the pita (try it and you will thank me). Also, summer is all about $5 in their floral section since that will usually buy you a beautiful (and huge!!) love basil and another $5 will get you sunflowers or something pretty. The service is always super friendly here also! I always leave with a smile! read more

Very impressive store. We've been meaning to visit a Trader Joe's ever since we moved into the area. Our location puts us in the middle of three stores to choose from so we decided to go to this location because we needed to stop by a Ross afterwards. Plenty of parking and not so busy area. The shopping center looked old but lively. Everyone in the store just polite and friendly just like all other TJs I've been to in the past. I suppose it's the friendly culture. I went into kid in candy store mode. I just couldn't believe the variety of items that store had in comparison with the one back in the Bay Area. At first I thought new products came out but I could tell it's just not the same type of selections back at home. More snacks, frozen food selections to choose from. The only thing I couldn't find were my mochi snacks but I digress. Next trip I hope they'll be available- just hope they haven't been discontinued. I was so impressed at how the store was clean and easy to navigate and find items. I'm definitely coming back here again once I need to stock up ony favorite items. read more

When I first moved to Oregon, twelve years ago this was my neighborhood Trader Joe's. Back then the store was smaller and a bit cramped. But I still shopped here because Trader Joe's is a unique grocery store that I really enjoy. A lot of items sold here carry Trader Joe's own brand label. I've been told that these items are made specially for Trader Joe's by the same great companies that market these items under their own label. Trader Joe's is able to offer these items at better prices than the similar items with brand name labeling. Trader Joe's always has the freshest produce. Some items are sold individually and some are sold in a package. The floral department is outstanding. They carry a nice assortment of cut flowers as well as potted orchids and other plants. The prices are very affordable. Trader Joe's carries frozen foods, dairy, canned and packaged foods, bread and baked goods, breakfast foods and snacks in addition to health and beauty items. There is also a great assortment of ready to eat items such as salads, sandwiches and wraps. Trader Joe's has a great wine section with domestic and international offerings at really great prices. They also carry ciders and beer. This Trader Joe's recently completed an expansion when they extended the store into the former Penzey's Spices space. Penzey's Spices moved across the street near TJMaxx. Now that the store has more space it is no longer cramped. The aisles are spacious and there is plenty of room to browse comfortably. There is parking available and Beaverton Transit Center is a short walk from here. I highly recommend visiting this Trader Joe's. read more

Ok let's be honest ! I go to my happy place at TJ's- there is no hope or desire for redemption! Tonight for dinner I had Tri-tips marinated in balsamic vinegar with Rosemary ! To accompany it I made a fresh salad with additional f yummy things. To a prepackage salad mix , I added chopped jicama sticks, quartered Comparl tomatoes,cubed English cucumber, and dried fig cubes from my own pantry . Saving every bite, I could soften the pain of the nightly news ! I gotta try this idea more often! read more

I was so excited to go to Trader Joe's since we were on this side of town. So we were checking out, and the cashier ripped the handle of the paper bag and says, "Oh sorry. I ripped the handle. Would you like another bag?" So I said, "Yes please, our hands will be full." (As we were making a couple of other stops in the shopping center.) So instead of double bagging it, she takes all my stuff out and then puts it in the new bag. She then practically threw the bag onto the counter at me. My 15 year old niece and I were shocked! We automatically looked at each other as we left the store. That was the most rudest interaction that I have EVER had at ANY Trader Joe's store. They seem to specialize in organic, health conscious, artisan, and exotic offerings. I picked up a couple of items. More expensive than my typical grocery store items but higher quality as well. Errand for my mom, on the hunt for colored carrots- who knew such a thing existed? The carrots were easy to spot and for 2 pounds at 1.99, a great deal! The store itself wasn't crazy busy as I thought and with wide aisles, getting around with a cart or without wasn't a problem The sample station was clean and trash cans spotted easily. I went in tonight, 12/23/23 to pick up a few last minute items for the holiday. The person checking me out asked about my holiday plans. I shared that this will be the first Christmas without my mom and that it will be tough but we will get through it. They asked me to hold on a moment and then returned with a beautiful bunch of flowers and said- for your mom. It was such a compassionate and kind gesture. Visited this Trader Joe's last week while on vacation from Los Angeles on my way back to the airport. It was a short visit. But from what I saw, I really liked it. Easy parking in a big lot out front; clean, well-stocked and organized store; relaxed happy vibe; and friendly staff. I was in and out with a minimal wait in line. That alone was worth four stars. But it gets better... once I returned home to LA, I discovered I left something at the store. I promptly called the store and was fortunate enough to have spoken with "Mate" Donna. I advised Donna of my situation and "Captain" Christopher came up with the plan and authorized the return of my property via FedEx. Many thanks to Donna and Christopher for their outstanding service and to TJ for continuing to hire amazing crew members! If I could've rated higher, I would have. 5+ stars! read more

APPLE PAY! I am an infrequent visitor to Trader Joe's. Anywhere. This one just happens to be closest. I have a sister-in-law that is a frequent flyer, so I decided to do some shopping here for things I would normally get at Fred Meyer. It strikes me as catering to a niche market - people looking for "naturally-sourced" foods, specialty items/brands, and one-offs. I do find the store always seems too crowded for it's size, but maybe that's just a sign of how good it is. Despite it's niche market designation (mine), prices are reasonable. I found service to be excellent after asking two different employees questions. I agree with some other posters as to catching moderate attitude at checkout. Today, my transaction resulted in an error of some kind. I told the cashier and he said his display said it was waiting on my PIN which I already inputted. Despite showing him a pop-up on my phone indicating my account had been charged, he had me run it again. So I now have duplicate charges showing in that account. The cashier told me to "come back" in that event which I'll be doing tomorrow. It's technology. It happens. All in all, a good experience, but I will be visiting other Trader Joe's as I can for comparison's sake. I also can't see me doing all my shopping at their stores due to the high density of niche items/brands, but for those kinds of items, I'll be going back. I went into TJ's Beaverton in order to buy some Pellegrino and a TJ's pineapple soda. I made the purchase at 3:11PM and moved over to the picnic table on the side of the building - 3:13PM to enjoy a can of Pellegrino. Got a minor cold headache and massaged my temples. Anyway $220 and 186 items later I departed with six heavy bags of loot. Broths and soups Beans and grains Oils and vinegars Mustards and condiments Spices including saffron Granola yogurt dried fruit nuts Pastas and sauces Cheese and hummus Snacks like pretzels and almonds Frozen chicken, wild salmon, turkey meatballs, ground turkey, veggie sausage Maple syrup, whole grain baking mix Frozen veggies Whole wheat bread nut butter fruit spread Canned tuna Soap and lotion Frozen chicken entrees for quick meals Ice cream and fleur de sel caramel sauce in a jar I can tell you the prices here have gone up a bit. They have everywhere though, right?But I still had lots of bargains in my cart and a whole lot of it was organic. The jars of spices were mostly $1.99. At my qfc they were $8-9. And yes, I got the kiddo her chocolate fix also. I think we are off to a good start. Some stuff just can't be bought here - like foil, extension cords, and stuff ( that's what Freddys is for) and some for me is simply purchased elsewhere ( veggies from csa and Asian at Uwajimaya), but I still like TJ's and this location is fine. Plenty of parking and nice people. Get the reusable bags or bring some. They're great and even though double bagged the paper bags' handles broke when I was lugging stuff into my house. Ugh.
