This is one of the larger WinCo Foods! Yikes! Since I'm not familiar with this particular store's layout, I did wander around a bit. The aisles are so darn long that if you make a wrong choice, it takes a while to get where you intended. This is not the "let me run in and get bread" type of store. That being said, I was super impressed with several departments. my favorite being the cheese section. Of course they had all the norms - huge blocks and sliced and shredded versions of cheddar, Monterey Jack and mozzarella. But they also had some hard to find cheeses like the Greek cheeses Myzithra and Kefalotori. I'm planning on making my Sicilian grandmothers Easter sweet pie, a cheesecake made with ricotta and mascarpone, and I scored a 16 Oz container of Marscapone for less than $5. Also picked up herbed goat cheese and crumbled goat cheese for bruschetta and salad, both at far better prices than I had ever seen. The meat section was also impressive, a much larger variety of meats than the WinCo on SE 82nd and Powell. Lots of different cuts of beef and pork. Plus decent varieties of sausage. I picked up Andouille sausage and shrimp to make jambalaya. My mouths already watering! The bulk section is always one of my favorite stops; I love the ability to buy as little or much as I want. Today I bought mini dark chocolate chips for my Easter sweet pie; a blend of several wild rices plus wheat berries; sesame seeds; walnuts; and jasmine rice. A random collection of items I needed and didn't want a to buy a huge bag of each. The checkout lines moved relatively fast with a gentleman directing people to specific lanes. I was there in the early afternoon on a Monday and the place was crowded. Every time I drive by, the place is busy! The cashier was super friendly and the other staff I encountered were helpful. The lost look on my face garnered their attention, and when they asked if I was looking for something specific, they were able to direct me right to the item saving me a lot of time and frustration. Winco only takes cash and debit cards. Love coming here for snacks and drinks. The lines can be extremely long during peak hours. Not always easy to find what you are looking for. Prices here are much cheaper than competing stores but the customer service is lacking and you cannot use a credit card. The pizza section here is quite good. Got a large 5 topping pizza for $10 and they baked it for $1. Good quality pizza and I was able to get artichokes. read more

WinCo doesn't have any handicap carts left from people stealing them. I've been shopping at Fred Meyer just two streets over they have brand new carts and they're wonderful. I find that WinCo they don't maintain their shopping carts they're noisy or they won't push or the wheel makes a clicking sound. Anyway try Beaverton Fred Meyer. It's so nice to know there will be handicap carts maintained clean and ready for you to use rather than to wait for the one that WinCo has left. read more

Still one of my favorite stores to shop at here in Beaverton and, honestly, they just get better and better with their quality of meats and produce over the years. The same employees have worked there forever. I usually like to do my shopping in the middle of the night - even during everyone in the city freaking out and overshopping I came in here and wow. Grabbed a cart of bread, milk and veggies no sweat when all the other stores were out of everything. I am also super happy that they recently started carrying Weber Grillmates - and they are, of course they are, half the price they charge for the same item at Fred Meyer which is the same story for my Briana's salad dressing also. I am constantly amazed at how inexpensive this store really is for the same items compared to any other place. Even if you just buy your boxed, canned or jarred staples here you will save a ridiculous amount of money but they have a crazy good organic section here also if you need that. read more

IF ONLY I COULD GIVE THIS STORE ZERO STARS!!!!! the employees and manager are the worst human being ever, rude and threaten me. because their machine wasn't compatible with my card for some weird reason 2nd time this has happened and i used a different card this time and then i had to withdraw cash out of the atm to pay for my items. none of them knew why the machine wasn't working or could give me an explanation. manager threaten me while i'm with my 3 year old son to put my items back and i would have redo my shopping. i was frustrated with the workers because every time they kept walking away from me as i'm trying to finish and pay because i have frozen items in my cart. after words i was told that i am never allowed back at the store after i spent 400$ for my groceries and supplies!!! do not even waste your time here. and i hope to save anyone else from this trouble. read more

WinCo does have cheap prices. I've found the life of their produce depends on the quality of your refrigerator. I can get produce from WinCo to last 3 weeks in my refrigerator. As with any retail store price comparison is on the shoppers. Between WinCo & Walmart I save a bunch over Safeway & Fred Meyer. I shop here regularly & will continue to do so. read more

Best deals on the basics. I shop here for almost everything, and visit a few nicer stores for the fancy things. The bulk bins are awesome!! I go all the way through them, every time. It's a busy place, so be patient with your cart. I also like to wear headphones so I can drown out the sounds of little kids. Sorry kids, grocery stores bring out the worst in you. Read the bad reviews of this place -- all true! Handicap accessibility issues (includine aisles blocked by pallets), don't take credit cards, and customer service is horrible. The employees who make the pizzas (and italian food items) struggle to get them out on time because THEY JUST DO NOT CARE! Self checkout is the way to go because the cashiers are so slow, but know they ony have 6 self checkout stations ... 3 debit and 3 for cash. Red plastic shopping baskets are NEVER cleaned (Tip: use your own cloth bag instead). Like most WINCO stores, produce generally goes bad almost as soon as you get it home. There is ONE AND ONLY ONE reason to shop here -- cheap prices on some green label items. Pink price label items are full retail (plus sometimes 20 percent). Yellow price label items are sometimes cheaper.. sometimes not. As one reviewer said, WINCO grocery stores are a retail/grocery shopping experience like in an alternate universe.. Oh, and since none of the other reviews mentioned it I will --WINCO uses Dumpling app/service for grocery delivery. We've been shopping this Winco for many years and have enjoyed thoughtful pricing for the most part. However, at the 2019 Thanksgiving holiday season, my fiance and I went shopping there on November 25 a few days before Thanksgiving. We have always done our holiday shopping here without much incident, but this particular day, a very tall, younger, white male security guard began targeting, trolling, racially profiling me as I shopped throughout the store in my disability mobility motorized chair. I first noticed him in produce, meat case, and deli, then as I picked out a turkey in the frozen food section, and after placing it into the cart, I headed up the middle of the store towards the bread section when I heard the clumsy, heavy, sloppy walking of heavy boots steadily coming up behind me as I was traveling up the open aisle in my wheelchair. I stopped my chair and turned around where this guy was ogling me hard, walking faster and faster to keep up with my chair when he suddenly jerked to his left and headed down a side aisle as if to abruptly avoid me. I caught him in the act of continuing to target and track me throughout the store I so loved. I haven't been back there much since this time, maybe once or twice; I just don't go in there much anymore. I know if I would have complained that the management there would have just made excuses, not held him accountable, and not compensated me on what the law states when such civil liberties are purposely violated by trash like him, not what I wanted to happen per say, but just an acknowledgment that my complaint would have been deeply felt and properly handled. Folks in Oregon deny and lie so much on these types of racism issues, so I just felt nothing would be done, and I'm so freaking tired of expending energy on a dumb bigot. Change your behavior! What a bozo this guy was and what had I done to attract him? Nothing except being Black, clean, and decent in a wheelchair. When I did go to the register I kept looking around because it felt like his sickening bigoted eyes were still locked onto me. I have never stolen anything in my life and certainly was not going to start at 55 years old and in my handicapped chair? Wow. I hope someone else caught this idiot and turned him in. Yay! Big fan here. I make a weekly visit since I work just about next door. For most things, Winco's prices beat Freddy's and Safeway's and on some things even their sales prices. (FWIW prices at this Winco are also better than the prices at the Hillsboro location.) Cereals, produce, cheeses, etc. etc. I regularly find relatively exotic avocados and mangoes here for less than a dollar (I should say, they are always less than a dollar and are regularly in stock.) The bulk bins are just the best -- for coffee, baking supplies, DIY trail mix ingredients, candy. Not sure if they are ever not busy! No comment on the parking situation, as I walk over and only carry out what I can get home on the bus/MAX. read more

Depending on which one you go to makes a huge difference. I love going to this one at 1am or later so there's less people. The meat department is pretty decent. You can find good deals on steak. I've not tried their fish. The veggie section is limited but decent. The frozen section is HUGE. They have stuff I can't find other places. The bulk section is also pretty impressive. They are a good deal on many staples but you need to know your prices. This place gets super psycho busy. I heavily recommend going in the middle of the night for the quieter relaxing shopping experience. read more

I can't walk. I needed the scooter from my car to the store and back. I couldn't walk in. So, sent my hubby in for what I desperately needed, and we left. No mayor grocery shopping at the Beaverton Winco. The Indian fellow explained that a thief took a scooter, and now these scooters cannot leave the building. So, now all handicapped people must pay. I like the prices. There are some annoying things, though. Today, it took FOREVER to get through the self checkout because a sickly old man was periodically passed out on top of one of the cash only self-check scanners, which put that scanner out of commission. Another of the cash only scanners was broken. If a customer is struggling that much, then I think a manager should walk him and his groceries to an open full-service check stand and personally check him out. If I could give 10 negative stars, I would exclamation I had the worst experience in the past 25 years of shopping at this store last week. I went in early morning for just a few vegetables. I had about 20 items total. I went to check out, and there was only one register open at that hour. So I looked at the self-service Cashier stand, there were only two people checking out. I decided to check myself out instead of wait in line at the one register that was open. I had the cashier that was standing there, Roger, come up to me and scold me for having more than 15 items. He was the most rude obnoxious person that I have dealt with in many many years. I called the manager and spoke to him right afterwards. I really felt that Roger was targeting me. There was another lady there, checking out, Anglo, and he did not say one word to her about her three bags that she was checking out. I am a Hispanic person, and I feel that he was targeting me and being very prejudice. I feel that this person should not be part of our community. He is rude and obnoxious. Literally never had a bad experience here and surprised to see how many people here are upset they don't accept credit cards? I used my credit cards for most purchases but I think it's fine they don't accept credit card as that is the way they keep prices low, and they are employee owned which I will always support. The Winco brand stuff is decent quality considering how low the prices are compared to others, Plus the employees there are very kind and will strike up a conversation with you even when coming in late at night. It's the only place I shop anymore honestly, along with the Farmers Markets for fresh produce. read more

Today was VERY upsetting for me with Customer Service at WINCO on Cedar Hills Blvd. I have always enjoyed shopping at this store for over 30 years. I almost NEVER go to Customer Service. In the last 5 months, I have found 4 errors on my receipts with coding from the Meat Dept. I called the store to report the errors each time so they are aware of the mistake. After 4 errors, I decided take the receipts and notes to Customer Service. Because my timing was more than 30 days, WINCO (DeeDee) refused to refund me the amount of the errors on three receipts. It was not the money that upset me in the least, it was the Customer Service and the lack thereof. Terrible service at WINCO. WATCH YOUR PURCHASES AT THE MEAT COUNTER AND CHECK THE CODING IMMEDIATELY. WINCO will not stand behind employee errors if your receipt if over 30 days past. read more

This is a big grocery store with great prices. That said don't let the size fool you into thinking it has a huge selection, Other grocery stores have more selection. Here the space goes into having a lot of each item they do have so they don't run out and have to stock as often. This helps keep prices down. They are open all night but if you go be careful. This is when they stock so there are fork lifts running around and they move fast and don't buy into the idea that customers should go first. When I say they have less selection, I mean they carry the items just in say fewer flavors, They carry what they know sells fast. It feels odd sometimes as that formula at times means they do cary some items that you would not expect. This store for example has a fairly well stocked Latin market inside. One highlight here is the produce. The high turnover means it is always fresh and with lower prices. They usually have longish lines at the checkout. During the night you sometimes have to wait as the checkers are busy stocking. That said when you talk to them the employees are friendly. They mostly stock at night so you mostly see staff at the checkouts. The isles are well marked and the layout stays the same which is good as there usually isn't much staff wandering the store to help you. The store has a nice bakery inside and offers fresh made cakes, muffins and bagels. The quality is fairly good on these. The prices are lower then elsewhere. They also carry the most popular items. This combo brings people in, so be ready for a bit of a walk in the parking lot. Be ready to bag your own groceries and they don't take credit cards. This store brings in the families, especially the large ones and many people buy truly huge amounts here. If is not uncommon to see overflowing carts, occasionally even people with two of them. Even with their low prices I often wind up behind people spending hundreds of dollars. The setup allows the lines to still move fast. Each cashier has two belts so they can alternate to allow people to bag their groceries and keep the lines moving. This is a true three star place. Nothing fancy here. OK but limited service. All the negatives are largely made up for in the prices. I don't come here to quickly grab something, but I do come here when I have a big list to buy. I also come at odd times on weekdays. I am going to preface this by saying that these things actually happened to me while at this WinCo: witnessed a fight in the parking lot, watched someone put his hands down his pants and furiously scratch his balls and also accidentally stepped on a kid who was lying down in the middle of the aisle. There is something very special about this WinCo, and by special I mean beinghereislikebeinginanalternateuniverse. Everything you thought you knew about shopping goes right out the window. The prices are lower, parents somehow lose their ability to control their children, you can buy 10 pounds plastic tubes filled with ground beef, and you can buy just one tablespoon of a certain spice. I'd have an easier time grocery shopping with piranhas gnawing at my ankles than I do when I go to this WinCo. Something about it just sucks the life out of me the moment I walk I the door. Maybe its size disorients me, or the lights zap all of my energy? It could also be the random toddlers just laying around the middle of the aisles...I'm not sure, but what I do know is that I swear off of the store each time I go there. And then I go back. Why? Well, it's the best place to go if you're on a budget. I can't justify paying $17.99 for a can of corn at Whole Paycheck when I can get it for $.49 at this store. I also find it to be a one stop shopping experience. I need toilet paper- check. I need Hot Pockets- check. I need a squirt gun- check. Toilet Paper + Hot Pockets + Squirt Gun= PARTAAAAAY. Here is what you should avoid: the meat and produce areas. I'm very concerned about hormones in my meat (ever since I ate that steak and grew mutton chops) and can't ever seem to find any that's labeled accordingly. I've also noticed a grayish tint to the ground beef on occasion. The produce will absolutely rot after a day, and that's if you can find stuff that isn't already bad. 5 stars for price, 1 star because the Tigard WinCo really shows what this store could be if it tried. read more

As Thanksgiving is coming up this week, I was kind of dreading going to the store but it wasn't bad at all, to my surprise. On an errand for my mom and first thing I noticed was new shopping carts, gray plastic ones that are seem sleeker and lighter. No wheels that don't go when you push it. Also, samples available. I only saw two stations as I wander the aisles- mashed potatoes and a new cinnamon oats cheerios. The checkout lines were not too crazy, with more opening as I was standing in line. The cashier who helped my line was very kind asking if patrons found everything they needed and asked about one's day. When I arrived back at the store an employee named Carlos cane out and asked if I was okay! I told him that I had forgotten my cane he went back in the store and brought it to me!
