This is one of the larger WinCo Foods! Yikes! Since I'm not familiar with this particular store's layout, I did wander around a bit. The aisles are so darn long that if you make a wrong choice, it takes a while to get where you intended. This is not the "let me run in and get bread" type of store. That being said, I was super impressed with several departments. my favorite being the cheese section. Of course they had all the norms - huge blocks and sliced and shredded versions of cheddar, Monterey Jack and mozzarella. But they also had some hard to find cheeses like the Greek cheeses Myzithra and Kefalotori. I'm planning on making my Sicilian grandmothers Easter sweet pie, a cheesecake made with ricotta and mascarpone, and I scored a 16 Oz container of Marscapone for less than $5. Also picked up herbed goat cheese and crumbled goat cheese for bruschetta and salad, both at far better prices than I had ever seen. The meat section was also impressive, a much larger variety of meats than the WinCo on SE 82nd and Powell. Lots of different cuts of beef and pork. Plus decent varieties of sausage. I picked up Andouille sausage and shrimp to make jambalaya. My mouths already watering! The bulk section is always one of my favorite stops; I love the ability to buy as little or much as I want. Today I bought mini dark chocolate chips for my Easter sweet pie; a blend of several wild rices plus wheat berries; sesame seeds; walnuts; and jasmine rice. A random collection of items I needed and didn't want a to buy a huge bag of each. The checkout lines moved relatively fast with a gentleman directing people to specific lanes. I was there in the early afternoon on a Monday and the place was crowded. Every time I drive by, the place is busy! The cashier was super friendly and the other staff I encountered were helpful. The lost look on my face garnered their attention, and when they asked if I was looking for something specific, they were able to direct me right to the item saving me a lot of time and frustration. Oh, and I bought a few random items, treats that looked good and were 99cents, so they had to go in my cart!

I didn't know Wincow hot foods was lit like that!!! The strawberry smoothy is so so good. It uses icecream which is milk based making it a creamy but just the right amount of creamy.

This is a great place to go food shopping, there is lots of space and verity. The prices are great, and the cashiers are super nice.

Winco only takes cash and debit cards. Love coming here for snacks and drinks. The lines can be extremely long during peak hours. Not always easy to find what you are looking for. Prices here are much cheaper than competing stores but the customer service is lacking and you cannot use a credit card. The pizza section here is quite good. Got a large 5 topping pizza for $10 and they baked it for $1. Good quality pizza and I was able to get artichokes.

Still one of my favorite stores to shop at here in Beaverton and, honestly, they just get better and better with their quality of meats and produce over the years. The same employees have worked there forever. I usually like to do my shopping in the middle of the night - even during everyone in the city freaking out and overshopping I came in here and wow. Grabbed a cart of bread, milk and veggies no sweat when all the other stores were out of everything. I am also super happy that they recently started carrying Weber Grillmates - and they are, of course they are, half the price they charge for the same item at Fred Meyer which is the same story for my Briana's salad dressing also. I am constantly amazed at how inexpensive this store really is for the same items compared to any other place. Even if you just buy your boxed, canned or jarred staples here you will save a ridiculous amount of money but they have a crazy good organic section here also if you need that.

We've been shopping this Winco for many years and have enjoyed thoughtful pricing for the most part. However, at the 2019 Thanksgiving holiday season, my fiance and I went shopping there on November 25 a few days before Thanksgiving. We have always done our holiday shopping here without much incident, but this particular day, a very tall, younger, white male security guard began targeting, trolling, racially profiling me as I shopped throughout the store in my disability mobility motorized chair. I first noticed him in produce, meat case, and deli, then as I picked out a turkey in the frozen food section, and after placing it into the cart, I headed up the middle of the store towards the bread section when I heard the clumsy, heavy, sloppy walking of heavy boots steadily coming up behind me as I was traveling up the open aisle in my wheelchair. I stopped my chair and turned around where this guy was ogling me hard, walking faster and faster to keep up with my chair when he suddenly jerked to his left and headed down a side aisle as if to abruptly avoid me. I caught him in the act of continuing to target and track me throughout the store I so loved. I haven't been back there much since this time, maybe once or twice; I just don't go in there much anymore. I know if I would have complained that the management there would have just made excuses, not held him accountable, and not compensated me on what the law states when such civil liberties are purposely violated by trash like him, not what I wanted to happen per say, but just an acknowledgment that my complaint would have been deeply felt and properly handled. Folks in Oregon deny and lie so much on these types of racism issues, so I just felt nothing would be done, and I'm so freaking tired of expending energy on a dumb bigot. Change your behavior! What a bozo this guy was and what had I done to attract him? Nothing except being Black, clean, and decent in a wheelchair. When I did go to the register I kept looking around because it felt like his sickening bigoted eyes were still locked onto me. I have never stolen anything in my life and certainly was not going to start at 55 years old and in my handicapped chair? Wow. I hope someone else caught this idiot and turned him in. I just get sick of reporting every racist act I encounter on any given day being a Black woman in America. Geesus, when does it stop? Winco too? :(

Stores fine which is why I give it 5 stars but product line needs serious work. Wow, do not ever buy Winco brand frozen juices. I drank a pitcher of their lemonade before bed last night and woke up today with explosive diareaah. I shit on the bed, I shit on the floor, I shit on the wall, I shit on the pot, I shit on the sink, and I shit on myself... Ingredients: high fructose corn syrup, water, Concentrated lemon juice, lemon pulp, lemon oil.

Man passed out on self-check scanner. Winco ignores the situation.

Extremely Unprofessional Behavior at the Poke Counter…read more Today my friend and I drove to Uwajimaya specifically to buy fresh poke, which we usually enjoy here. When we arrived at the poke bowl service counter, we were standing in front of the menu screens trying to decide what to order. We were not in line yet, because we were still looking at the options and deciding. We had only been standing there for less than three minutes. At the time, there was an Asian male employee helping another customer. After that customer finished ordering, another male employee (tall with long hair) gestured toward me and asked if I was ready to order. I said, "Can I get a mini bowl please?" Instead of confirming my order, he immediately asked whether my friend wanted the same thing. My friend was still deciding and had not said she was ordering yet, so I politely replied that she wasn't sure yet, but I was ready to order mine. The employee then shook his head and slammed the rice container, which completely surprised me. The gesture and attitude felt very disrespectful and unnecessarily aggressive toward a customer. For context, I work in the food service industry myself, so I understand that things can get busy. However, at that moment there were no other customers waiting behind us, so the pressure and frustration displayed by this employee felt very inappropriate. Because of how uncomfortable the interaction felt, I told him that it was okay and that I would not order anymore. My friend also said it was okay and that we didn't want anything anymore. Instead of simply letting us go, the employee shouted loudly across the counter, saying "Come back, come back! What do you want? Come back!" while waving his hand at us as if we had to beg for him to serve us. We had done nothing wrong--we were simply looking at the menu and politely asked for a mini bowl. The experience left us feeling confused, pressured, and honestly quite uncomfortable. We later reported the incident to the customer service counter. The female employee there (wearing glasses) listened and said she would forward the report to management. I have visited Uwajimaya many times and usually enjoy shopping here, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I hope management addresses this situation and reminds staff that basic courtesy and patience are essential in customer service. After the incident, we decided not to order poke and only purchased a bottled tea before leaving. We ended up going to another Japanese restaurant nearby for food instead. I'm sharing this experience not to attack the business, but to provide honest feedback. Uwajimaya has always been a place we enjoy visiting, and we would be happy to come back in the future--once we feel confident that customers will not be treated this way again by this particular employee.

The front entrance is not a large one and the carts are very much nearly blocking it. There are a lot of plants and such as well. It looks nice but I just worry since people tend to just run right over people like me not noticing the cane. Luckily they do have easily accessible motorized carts though I leave it inside after using it in store because of the small entrance area. The self check (which was all that was open) is a lot as well. The great news is that it is a Kroger so you can use your Fred Meyer rewards card and you will need it because the prices are seemingly much higher. There are some great sales and they seem to have pretty great produce. Also, I will say that if you need flowers or things like that you will find some pretty gorgeous blooms.

Extremely Disappointing QFC Curbside Experience ( Barnes Road location)…read more Ordering from QFC for curbside pickup has consistently been a frustrating experience--but today was by far the worst. Once again, the wrong item was selected, and this time the mix-up wasn't just inconvenient--it was infuriating. We ordered a $28 roast and instead received a $10 steak. When my spouse went into the store to resolve the issue, the shopper's response was simply, I don't know the difference in meats, "If it scans, it's the right item." He then walked away without assisting further--leaving my spouse standing there waiting for help. He came back to say that's the item you ordered and walked away again. To make matters worse, when I called and spoke with Jasper, a supervisor, who was combative and argumentative, insisting the machine wouldn't have allowed the wrong item to be scanned and blamed me for selecting the wrong product. At what point does common sense and human judgment come into play? A roast and a steak are clearly not the same thing.SMH. I understand that mistakes happen. But it's how those mistakes are handled that defines a company's service quality--and today, QFC failed on every front. Rather than acknowledging the error or working toward a resolution, we were blamed, dismissed, and left feeling like a burden for trying to correct it. This isn't the first time I've had issues with QFC's online shopping experience, but it may very well be the last. After today, I'm strongly considering switching to Zupan's, Market of Choice, or New Seasons--places that actually understand good customer service and hire knowledgeable staff. QFC would be wise to revisit their training processes and consider how to better empower employees to recognize basic product differences and treat customers with respect. If retaining loyal shoppers is a goal, today's experience was a masterclass in how to lose them.
