Uwajimaya has been one of my favorite Asian markets in the Portland area for many years. The aisles are wide and clean, the shelves are well-stocked with a wide variety of food items, the store is well-organized with signage for every aisle, staff is friendly and helpful. The produce is higher priced than other Asian markets in the area but there is a lot of variety. There is a poke bar, fresh live seafood tanks, gift shop, deli and hot food, and more. The parking lot is big and accessible. It's an adventure just walking up and down the aisles!

Uwajimaya is easily one of my favorite places to shop when I'm in the area. It's not just a grocery store -- it's a cultural experience. The selection is huge: fresh seafood, high-quality produce, Asian snacks, sauces, noodles, and specialty items you can't find anywhere else. Everything is well-organized, clean, and clearly labeled, which makes exploring even more fun. The staff are friendly and helpful -- they're always willing to point you toward something new or answer questions about unfamiliar ingredients. The attached food court and bakery are a bonus. I always leave with at least two kinds of Poke. I have two octopus in my freezer now from here. Prices are fair considering the quality and variety, and you can tell they take pride in keeping the store spotless and welcoming. Whether you're restocking pantry staples or just browsing for something unique, Uwajimaya makes grocery shopping feel like a treat. If you love authentic Asian food, cooking, or just exploring new flavors, this place is a must-visit.

Last time I came, the cashier said they have fresh mochi on the 2nd Saturday of the month. Came on a Sunday and there were a few left. I'm so excited! I should have gotten his name but the Polynesian guy at the poke' counter was so nice and friendly, gave us a sample and even offered us more samples. I have to say, the Yuzu shoyu scallop poke' is so good! He even gave me tips on making our own laulau.

The cooked food here is great. Poke is tasty and fresh. Also like the seafood section. Although I dislike how pricey their produce are. Almost doubled the price when compared to the other couple major asian store. Overall it's good store for food, seafood and condiments. I would buy produce and meat somewhere else. 5/5 - for poke, cooked food, condiments and seafood section 1/5 - for overpriced produce and meat section

The poke bar in the back of the store is my favorite takeout lunch spot in the general Portland area. The workers are so friendly and are willing to answer any questions. For only $7.99 (the "mini" bowl) you get such a great deal with a decent amount of poke, rice, and various other toppings. The food is fresh in quality. Don't miss out on the salmon bbq poke!

This store has by far the best tastiest and CHEAPEST/BEST value Poke. Staff are super friendly gave me so much raw fish, even pack it to the brim! I recommend driving to Uwajimaya just for the Poke! The store also has a large selection of Japanese goods and grocery as well. Overall clean and friendly vibes.

Love this supermarket, especially the hot food/deli section! We got a great variety of spam musubi, pork buns, sushi, etc. and can't wait to come back and try more. The cashier was very friendly. Just beware that the parking lot can be crazy, and was packed the day and time we went.

I've been shopping here since I was little and it's always been my favorite asian grocery store to visit! I tried their poke bar for the first time and I can't believe I hadn't tried it sooner! They have a wide variety of poke options. You can buy poke by weight or make a bowl. The mini bowl is $8 and quite filling, making it perfect for lunch. The poke bar workers are incredibly nice as well!

This market is full of all your Japanese cooking needs and more! Snack, noodles, sauces, they have it all! When we went they were putting the Gashapon (coin toy dispenser) machines so exciting! Their deli section is where it's at though - definitely don't sleep on that! I got a Mini Bowl for $7.99 you choose between white or brown rice (which comes hot), furikake seasoning, seaweed salad, pickled ginger and your choice of poke from the deli case. They had a wide variety of tuna and salmon poke choices and my dude did not skimp on it even for a mini bowl! It filled me up for sure. They also have a hot case of musubis and specialty baked goods galore. If you're close by and looking for lunch options, come browse the deli section for fresh poke and also other prepared food and I assure you won't be disappointed!

G-Mart is huge, colorful, and messy in a way due to tons of products, parking is limited and parking lot is kind of confusing. We parked on the street the first time and the 2nd visit when I went back again to grab more stuff, we parked along the side since we couldn't find any open stalls. I don't know where to begin looking, upon entering, I head straight to the ramen section, which is my favorite/weakness! I noticed lots of new ramen brand that I haven't tried before, To sum it up, G-Mart has a great selections of all the Korean products you'll need. There are also fresh meats, produce and great assortment of ban chan and kim cheeee!! I killed 2 birds over here, dined at the restaurant upstairs and shopped here. What really caught my eyes and was happy to see while shopping here, I finally get to try ice cups (.99) which I used for packaged ice coffee, it was pretty cool to pour the drink in the cup ( from watching Instagram vids on Korean convenience store) Also the viral ice cream, so happy I get to try it here! That was some creamy, sweet & fancy viral ice cream, I also got to try frozen Kimbap, never tried it but seen those viral vids too. Besides those goods I got, I also bought a box of OFood seafood ramen, Turtle chips, seaweed, candies and cake. The Mala Turtle chips was really good, I hope to see them here. So Happy -feeling just like a kid at a candy store.... hehe. I heard from local that this supermarket use to be Paldo, Hmart, now Gmart.
