This is a pretty good h mart. They have a nice selection of frozen foods and prepared foods. The hot foods are 50% off at the end of the day which is really nice. The parking here isn't great but I have been able to find street parking when I have come here.

I like H Mart! It's expensive for an Asian grocery, but not unreasonable. It's a very clean and organized store. They have good deli food to go, a small boba shop that I've never tried, good produce selection, plenty of snacks and treats. Located on a super cool block of Belmont. Street parking or small underground lot shared with the apartments.

H Mart has kimbap! I was on a jag, needed some gimbap and in the neighborhood. Thought of H Mart and they came through. Picked up a Spam and an avocado - $7.99 each. Yeah - they're a bit spendy butfor the occasional indulgence, I'm in.

I was expecting to see a stand-alone H-mart and it was but it was shaped like a corner store. We didn't know it at the time but there is parking in the back. We parked on the side by the entrance. The store wasn't as big the other H-marts but their selection was good. Their food was good too! We got some to go for lunch. Galbi bowl: 4/5, it was tasty. Bulgogi bowl: 4/5, it was good and the japchae was reallly good. Pickled spicy radish: 5/5, so good. Musubi: 4/5, it was good. Chocolate croissant: 3/5, it was good. We didn't experience any issues and checkout was fast. I enjoyed my time there and would definitely come back.

Love this H-Mart! It's definitely one of the smallest, which is one of the reasons I love it! Sometimes I want to stop in, grab some fresh rice noodle sheets (they have them) and be in my way. Until I discovered this H-Mart located in the previous Zupans on SE Belmont, I would drive out to the Tigard location. This store is much closer to where I run errands and go to the gym making it super convenient. And the size means I can run in and out easily. Yesterday I spent a lot of time there perusing the aisles, making mental notes and snapping pictures so I remember what they carry. An aisle jam packed with every possible condiment, soy sauce, chili paste from all over Asia. There is an area dedicated to Thai, Indian, Chinese, Korean, etc. the vast variety of Gochuchang was impressive. Restaurant size containers! Same with that amazing must-need BBQ sauce if you want to make your own flanked style short ribs. Same with the fresh noodle section; every size, shape, cut, ingredient base representing Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, China, Malaysia. And then there is the dry noodle section, and the rice varieties. In the past I would have to stop at 2 or 3 different markets to get what I need. Not anymore! What I loved the most was that H-Mart is a mirror image of an American grocery store. While the American stores are filled with American groceries with a small Asian condiment section, H-Mart is dedicated to products used in Asian countries and has a small Italian section with Ronzoni pasta in all different shapes plus tomatoes, roasted peppers, olive oil and more. And a Hispanic section with tortillas, salsa, beans, chipolte peppers, spices and more. The meat and seafood section is quite impressive, very high quality with prices to match. As always I just love walking down the snack aisle and marveling over the types of chips; who knew Lays made a shrimp flavor? And the cookies and candy. Kit-Kat makes a melon flavor and a matcha in addition to the chocolate. Of course they have a deli section with freshly prepared food - Bibimbap, bowls, ribs, fried chicken, fried spring rolls and more. Even a mine restaurant serving those chewy and delicious rice cakes in spicy sauce (Tteokbokki) and bubble tea and drinks. Everything in the produce area looked fresh and vibrant. The entire store is clean and organized even though there are end-caps piled high with massive bags of rice or sale products. It works. Prices are competitive with the meat and seafood being higher, similar to New Seasons. While this can never be my everything grocery store as I shop at Traders, Whole Foods, Freddie's, Safeway depending on what I'm buying. But for fresh rice noodles, Chinese broccolI, bok choy, Asian condiments and rice, this is where I will shop.

They have a cozy indoor seating area with a classic bar backdrop. Or if you feel like sitting outside but being shielded from any wind, rain or coolness - there is a cute picnic table area out on a tree shaded side street. We had an out of town guest and we did not want to fuss with cooking at home nor sitting in a stuffy noisy (or super quiet) eatery! Sitting out side before sunset, was the perfect setting on our Monday night. Our waitress was super interactive and very genuine with her assessments of the dining & alcoholic beverage choices. For adult drinks we had an excellent Next Level IPA brewed & branded for Montelupo, Rose special and glass of House Red wine. I was starving so we ordered the LARGE Radicchio salad and it was Big & filling. A side of fresh Broccolini complimented our individual entrees. My hearty Italian dish was the Ricotta Cavatelli. I even had enough for lunch the next day! My two lovely lady dinner mates had meals of Mafaldine pasta and Spinach Fettuccine (with Grana Padano cheese added). We gladly finished our comfortable dining experience with a shared and inhaled Tiramisu dessert. If you have time, spend a few minutes browsing the Italian Market refrigerated food and alcoholic options. Plus the well stocked and reasonably priced Italy sourced dry goods are worth a view

I've been a customer at both the Montelupo & Focacceria in Sellwood spots for quite some time now…read more  I came into Montelupo recently with my wife to place a takeaway order. The woman with dark brunette hair at the register (who processed the transaction below) was extraordinarily rude & impatient with us. Candidly, I've never been treated so poorly by someone taking my money before.  We were at the register for a mere 90 seconds, and it was nowhere near as busy as it has been in prior times that we've patroned the establishment. We also shared with this woman that we'd only order 4 dishes to go - and by the time we were ordering the final dish, she literally asked us to step out of line & come back later to order once we'd figured things out. I've never had a cashier ask that before. We proceeded to put in our final order and complete the transaction. I made a conscious decision not to include a tip due to the way she was treating us, and when she saw that I hadn't included the tip she gave me a dirty look, turned around and said nothing to us. Not even a "thank you" or "your order will be ready in X minutes". I had to check myself with my wife to see if I was misinterpreting the circumstances, and she responded "no, that was horrible service." When I came back 20 minutes later, this same woman was at the counter and refused to acknowledge me. I was standing 5 feet away, and there was not a single other customer in the market area. She just stood there looking elsewhere & avoiding eye contact. I finally saw the bartender come over and ask me if the order was mine - he picked up my order that had been sitting there and handed it to me.  I've never had an experience like this at Montelupo nor the Focacceria before. To be honest, I've never had an experience like that anywhere. It's hard for me as a paying customer to feel welcome in an establishment where the mentality of the cashier is adversarial toward patrons. It's very clear to me that the customer service at Montelupo has a long way to go to catch up to the quality of the food being served there. When I shared this feedback directly with Montelupo's management team, they never even responded. Clearly, they don't care about their patrons. I sadly won't be returning to Montelupo again as a customer - I value the money I work hard to earn, and want to spend it at businesses that value me as a customer.

I've been a longtime, low-key regular at Hồng Phát for all things Vietnamese and random grocery needs, but this time I found my reason to shout about it. After what felt like a lifetime of hovering and debating, I finally went for it and picked up their Pâté Gan (liver spread) from the refrigerated deli case near the front. Let me tell you: SPREADABLE GOLD! 8oz hand-filled container for $5.95 and worth every single bite. Listed ingredients? Pork Liver, Pork Fat, Pork. (We all know there's more in there, but I'm not here to investigate, just to celebrate.) As a pâté-obsessed Bánh Mì DIY, this blew me away. -Texture: Silky and spreadable perfection. -Taste: Deep, rich, and satisfying without being overly gamey. - Smell: Divine, for those who love a good pâté, you know what I mean. This is officially my new go-to pâté source, alongside my other favorites scattered along 82nd Ave. TIP: Since it's hand-packed from a larger batch, look for condensation inside the container. Cabbage, onions and scallions were also half price. The owner was super friendly. Store was clean, aisles well stocked and organized. Loved walking up and down every section marveling over items that are so foreign to my palette. I found the green Chinese slim tea I sometimes drink when I'm having digestive issues.
