I know the car market is bonkers right now. I was in need of a new car, as my lease was up. Fred Beans offered me a very competitive price for my car, and helped me get in to a new one, all in 3 hours. I wont go to any other subaru dealer. Specifically ask to work With Anthony in sales, if you come here. Best of the best! read more

The Fred Beans service department charges a fee for disposal of your motor oil after an oil change. This is an upcharge that takes advantage of its customers to increase their profits. "The Code of Federal Regulations specifically names used motor oil as an exception to household hazardous waste (HHW) requirements as long as it hasn't been mixed with other hazardous liquids. This makes it much easier for retailers to collect motor oil from the public and make sure it is properly recycled." Go to Glanzman. They don't do this. read more

I purchased a 2013 Subaru Crosstrek and from the start, this dealer was very accommodating. Usually when you buy a used car, it's a crap shoot. I found an issue a few days later that exposed a leak. They took the car, gave me a loaner and fixed the issue. I highly recommend from sales and service, a great place to buy your next Subaru read more

Wonderful staff and service... great place to buy a car! Bought my Outback here and have loved it, no problems.

Awful service. No shuttle service on a Saturday? 4 continental tires are about $200.00 more than creamery Tire. Got charged for the diagnostics of $90.00 since I didn't use Fred Beans services. They didn't have a loaner car for me while they wait for replacement mud flap which wouldn't be in till Wednesday. Apparently not safe to have water get up into tire such as going through a puddle. Ed Kirkland is the manager with whom I spoke. Big disappointment. Wont be back. I bought my car there. Definitely will not again. read more

Just had our car in for service for oil change , trans axle oil change and some bushings and rear brakes ,received the bill, and there was a 44.98 charge for environmental waste disposal. Talk to the sales manager and he told me it was based on the price of the job not what it cost to dispose of the oil. And 45.00 is their maximum charge. This is a total rep off charge. I have been dealing with Fred Beans for 15 years. Mainly in Boyertown. And never got ripped off. Like this Doylestown dealership. Within 6 months I was to replace my car with a Lincoln Corsair. I guess it's going to be a Lexus. I would think at 130.00 oil change, the disposal would be included? read more

I waited a while to post a review because I wanted to see if my opinion would change. Subaru is a great car! No issues with my new car. I was forced to finance with the dealership even though I had a pre-approval from my bank for them to sell me my car. I understand they controlled the market at the time but they hey did lose a customer. Will still buy Subaru but not from Fred beans read more

Overall, I had a good experience at Fred Beans Subaru in Doylestown. The staff was friendly and I was given a fair price on my 2022 Subaru Legacy Limited. I asked for crossbars and a spoiler to be added and they said they could only give me a friends and family discount on those items. I think it was only about 10% off. The one thing that really bothered me is that when I test drove the car, they gas light was on. I ended up buying it about a week later and the light was still on. I asked them if they were going to fill up the tank for me, since I'm buying a $30K car, and they said their policy is to only put $30 in it since it's used car. Come on, Mr. Beans, are you that cheap? When you spend that kind of money, you'd think you would get a full tank of gas with your car. read more

We just bought our third Legacy from and are currently leasing our third Outback from Beans and couldn't be happier with their customer service. We live an hour away and we still get our cars serviced at the dealership and by serviced I mean exclusively oil changes, inspections and emissions they're Subarus after all. Crystal, (Leasing) and Jim (sales) are friendly professional and honest. Danny Pravone the G.M. is a great guy that has an open door policy, when I'm in for an oil change he'll always make time to talk and genuinely cares about my wife and I. The service dept is aces and I've never driven away with any doubt about the service the performed. If you don't want a great buying experience with friendly honest sales team and way way above average service by all means do not go to Beans Subaru, but if you do want these things it's truly better at Beans. read more

completely unprofessional and untruthful and dishonest. I will never go there again and strongly recommend staying away from this dealership. I was refereed to them by KBB for Trade in for my 2021 Subaru Crosstrek with only 2000 miles on it and in pristine condition. KBB suggested trade in value was $33,120, initially got a test that rough estimate is what the KBB recommended. so I made the appointment, the guy named Karran Buchhan was assigned to inspect. now first he never shows up for an appointment and then send an email with offer $3,000 less than the KBB and claims that that is what Subaru price is. this is just BS and waste of time. No only they the guy over the phone was completely unprofessional and rude but the whole experience was left me feel cheated read more

Test drove new Subaru decided I wanted to lease same car in different color which was in transit to dealer. My current lease car was worth more than buyout so I wanted to use equity in lease as deposit. FB's offered to buy my car for $5k more than buyout and I planned to use the $5k equity as deposit on new car. we papered the deal & I gave a small deposit. when it came time to purchase the new car they said I needed $5k cash and they's take my existing car off my hands (it's low mileage in perfect condition. so effectively they turned deal into looking to get $5k equity + $5k cash probably because I'm a woman they thought they could screw. I asked them is this the way Fred Bean would do business and they laughed at me. read more

We bought a car yesterday from Fred Beans Subaru. I called in the morning and Ron Dolan assisted with our request for a used 2008 Subaru Forester with a manual transmission. Our family has now bought four used cars from Fred Beans Subaru and has had great experiences each time! Stone was very knowledgeable, attentive, and great to work with as we got a tour of the vehicle and went out for a test drive. The staff was incredibly helpful and made the process as easy as possible on our end, and we are very happy with our most recent purchase. We would absolutely recommend Stone and Fred Bean Subaru. read more

Would not recommend this dealership to anyone, especially if you are a female. They went back on prior negotiations, and staff was rude and not at all helpful in the process. I walked away from the deal, and Im super glad I did. The next day they listed the vehicle for less that I would have paid for it yesterday which was their "non-negotiable best deal". Not at all a trustworthy experience. They lost my business over $300 two days before the end of the year on a vehicle that had been on their lot for months, that is now listed as cheaper. read more

I recently bought a certified used truck from here. First, the sales people were great and not pushy at all, which i appreciate. They worked with me and i ended up going home in my new truck. I absolutely love it and am so happy that i found them and this truck. I had previously gone to other dealerships and felt so much pressure to sign papers that were at ridiculous amounts that i felt sick. I was so comfortable here and that meant the world to me. I would give zero stars if I could. I went in-person back at the end of October 2023 and hand delivered the documents needed to cancel the remainder of my warranty agreement for my vehicle which I had bought at Fred Beans. I was told it would be taken care of. I hadn't received any money back by February so I called into Subaru Corporate Headquarters and I was told the paperwork was never filled out by Fred Beans. They reached out to Fred Beans and the paperwork was completed March 1st and I was given a copy of the canceled agreement paperwork and was told I should expect to be paid directly by Fred Beans sometime in March. I waited until midway through April and reached out to Fred Beans directly a couple of times where I was told someone would call me back and basically was given the brushoff and sent right to voicemail. I finally received a call back on 4/25/2024 and was told the delay was due to not having people permanently working in certain positions. I was also told they did not have documentation of the form that I had which was done by them and if I could email it. Their service has been horrible and there is no excuse to have to wait over 6 months to get a refund check back. read more

My parents have always recommended Fred beans dealerships and now I understand why! Extremely disappointed. Do not use this dealership. I recently saw a vehicle on AutoTrader and called if it was still available on their lot. they said it was so I drove one and a half hours to get there. The car was parked on the lot with my name on it. I took it out for a test drive and absolutely loved the car. Got back to the dealership, parked the car, and went in to buy it and was told that it was already SOLD. How can you sell a car from right under someone while they are test driving it? They the three of them made all kinds of excuses, blah, blah, blah, but I really know it was sold before we even got there and they were hoping we would purchase another vehicle. How shady can you get? They said they would find us another car by the end of the week, well they didn't. I thought professional dealerships had more integrity than this... Find another Subaru dealership to go to I just drove in today it is Wednesday September 25, 2019. I just came from a friend of mine at Thompson Collision who looked at my Subaru Because he replaced the busted off mirror and somehow the key fob just don't work correctly so I brought it back to them he looked at it again and he couldn't find anything wrong hooked it up to the computer everything was fine. I don't know what to tell you go to the Subaru dealer so I rode down the street to Fred Beans Subaru. So I drove in, there was no one in the bays three bald-faced liar is behind the desk nothing was stuttering there wasn't anybody in there and they told me I have to come back and make an appointment with our senior service director.....Really That's the way you get business. Guess what go F yourself. I bought two brand new trucks from them and a 2015 Infiniti X 40 I think. What a bunch of douche bags completely and totally don't fucking go there read more

I had a great experience taking my Outback for service. I was able to get an appointment quickly, I was greeted immediately upon arrival. She did a reset of my code in a minute and my problem was resolved. Great service! Will definitely come back. read more

I do not recommend Fred Beans Subaru. I conveyed my interest for one of their used vehicles online and recieved a call from a sales rep inviting me to come in for a test drive. I said I would be in the following day at 5pm, and when I arrived it felt like I was an unwanted guest inconveniencing the staff. I guess the invitation was not as solid as it sounded over the phone. They struggled to find someone to help me, then offered me coffee but both carafes were empty, and did not even have the car on the lot. Two guys went to retrieve the vehicle, and when they got back i got the warning that the car was not cleaned. Okay, i was a surprise or forgotten guest. I can forgive that. The car is fun! I did my homework and found many comps in the area ranging from $18k to $21,900 for the exact same car package with some variation on year and mileage. Fred Beans priced at $24,600. The salesman was a nice gentleman but when i told him the top end was $22k he was resigned at the idea of coming down in price, saying that the sales manager could only move a few hundred dollars! This I know is 100% untrue. I was just not worth the effort today to make a sale, people were busy with pending transactions and this salesman did not want to start a new one. I was too much work. I have been living in Bucks County for 5 years and have seen Fred Beans expand, and they are not willing to sell me the vehicle I want at a fair price? Over the phone I was told it was a leased vehicle that was returned by an employee and seems like Fred Beans wants to maintain exhorbant profit margins. The car new sells for 29k, so how does a 3 year old one hold the $24k pricetag when many others are selling for $21k? Not any different than any other crooked ass dealership. They whole join the family bit is bogus. It's really just disappointing to realize service is even valued anymore. read more

I was greeted warmly and helpfully by the manager. I introduced her to my husband and I said that I was interested in a test drive. She introduced me to a salesman. I described what I was looking for and he went to locate a car for us to drive. Then he made 3 really stupid mistakes: 1. Talked with other sales guys about closing us within earshot. It was probably normal "go get 'em" psych-up stuff but we could hear them. To be fair, it was more his sales manager than him. I was super passive aggressive about it and said, just as loudly, "Sure. It's a great idea to talk about your customers like that when they can hear you." 2. Came back to us and began talking to my husband (not the one buying the car). 3. When he did not have the car I wanted to test drive, he tried to convince me that what he had was just as good. When I told him the engine size and power was a step down from what I was already driving, he tried to convince me that I was wrong. So I said, "First, you talked crap about us. Then you talked to my husband instead of me. So do you have the car I want on the lot or not?" and when he said, "No," I replied, "Thanks so much for your time." I shook his hand and left to test drive a BMW and an Audi. They were psyched to see me. This kid was young and obviously just starting out. This is not his fault. But it's not ok. read more

I don't know what to say.... The first used car we drove actually had an oil leak, and it was fairly serious too. My boyfriend is a mechanic so it is pretty bad when the car went through the "service inspection" and they missed the smell of burning oil AND the actual dripping of oil from the engine. The second car we test drove their service department actually had repaired a scratch on the front bumper. When they repainted the bumper, they actually painted it the WRONG color. Plus the previous owner used drywall screws to put on a vanity plate in the back and the screws were still there and visible, and they didn't fix it before putting it on the lot at a premium price ($28-$25k) At this point we started looking at new cars because the price they wanted for the used ones with the issues actually were only a couple of thousand difference from the new ones. We were happy with our sales woman and how she handled our questions. She was the best part of the evening and we apologized when we left that it didn't work out. I hope she finds a job at a reputable place who doesn't pull this kind of stuff. Which brought us to our trade in... Which we bought from Fred Beans Hyundai dealer, a year and a half ago... Amazing how little they wanted to give for their own car. Again, the car was owned by a MECHANIC, and it somehow depreciated over $8,000 in one year, not likely. The car was in better shape than when he bought it because he maintains vehicles to a degree that normal people just can't do. In the end, they told me it wasn't their problem to address another Fred Beans dealership issue because they were a different subsidiary. Ouch... Their finance guy had no interest in working on this deal. I think his exact word were "I am not the one who is making you trade your car in." Yeah buddy, life is what is making us trade the car in... We have a child and a two door doesn't do it for us anymore. We left frustrated and just plain mad. The next day we went to a different Subaru dealer, picked out the same car and they gave us triple what the other dealer offered for the trade, which was fair... Come to find out that the original car which we are trading in had a car fax issue- TMU (true mileage unknown) which was never disclosed when it was purchased from Fred Beans Hyundai. The unethical behavior from the first purchase along with the unprofessional behavior of the second will hands down ensure that I never return, along with any if my family or friends to any Fred Beans establishment. Bottom line, my experience was bad. They are deplorable. Their service department clearly has no idea. If the dealer says Fred Beans on it, no matter where it is from or what they are selling, I would run the other direction. read more

I was able to make an appointment for service online, and received a confirmation email almost immediately. My vehicle was taken back within minutes of my arrival, and the service time took exactly as much as I was advised upon arrival. The waiting area was clean, comfortable, and provided coffee, tea, bottled water, and snacks. My vehicle is outside of its warranty.; however, I keep bringing it back to Fred Beans because they have always given exceptional service, they are trustworthy in their diagnosis, and more than reasonable for their charges. read more

Was interested in purchasing a new Forester. Met with a salesman who took us for a test drive after stopping to put gas in it. Why take us in a car without gas? I loved the car and started pricing here at Fred Beans and other dealers. Fred Beans refused to give a final price, just a monthly payment. When I mentioned a price I got a rival Subaru dealer, he told me he wouldn't meet the price but I should still do business with him. Why would I pay more just because the dealer is local? They obviously did not want the sale. Taking my business to A&T. They were willing to work with me and didn't hassle me about my time frame for purchase. read more

Dealt with multiple individuals in person and by phone at dealership and with Subaru Finance. Received conflicting and erroneous information from most. The salesperson who ultimately assisted us in purchasing the vehicle off lease was very helpful; however, when I contacted the dealer (finance department) two days after purchase, they were dismissive of my request for assistance with something they could have easily helped with. Trust and Honesty is NOT something they practice or understand! My 8.5 month PREGNANT girlfriend arrived for her appointment to rotate tires and change oil on her 2014 Auto (the auto had absolutely ZERO issues and was running perfectly). They tried to FRIGHTEN her into purchasing a new vehicle. Details = Service tech and service manage approached her after having her wait over an hour. She was then told (verbatim quote here), "You need 9 thousand dollars in repair and the car is unsafe to drive. We can connect you with one of are sales reps to get you into a new SAFE vehicle." She did not fall for it, called me and I then threatened them with legal action, also shamed them for their actions . The Dealer Manager capitulated, charged her nothing for the oil and tire work. To pull something like that on a woman who is that close to her delivery date and try and frighten/stress her into buying a new vehicle is unconscionable! I could not believe that transparent manipulation of that kind still existed in the auto sales industry and it also suggest that they have ZERO respect for a woman's intelligence or concern for an individuals health and well being! I bought my Subaru here about 7 years ago (it's still going strong, of course), so my review is more about the service than the sales. I do remember the sales part, it was casual, no pressure. Had it been high pressure, I'd have walked out (as I had done at 2 other Subaru dealers prior to this). I feel good about bringing my car here for service. The staff is friendly and professional. When the courtesy shuttle refused to drive me home because it was out of the area, somebody arranged for a free loaner so that I could return home since it would be a while.
