The experiences I've had at most dealerships near me have always left a bad taste, Not Fred Beans. For once, I finally felt good about buying a vehicle. From the beginning, the level of customer service was extremely disappointing. General Manager Nick DeSimone was rude and appeared to be focused solely on closing the sale rather than ensuring customer satisfaction. When issues arose, there was little to no effort made to assist or resolve the situation. Since leasing my Jeep, it has not operated properly. I have experienced repeated breakdowns, multiple tows, and the inconvenience of securing rental vehicles -- all for a brand-new vehicle that should not have been having these problems. Each time I brought it in, I was told they didn't know why the check engine light kept coming on and was advised to ignore it. The underlying issue was never properly diagnosed or repaired. When you call you get a secretary, that secretary will tell you all service reps are either busy, on the phone, or away from their desks. Every time I go in I see 2-3 reps standing around shooting the shit. Once you are lucky enough to get your vehicle in for service they do not give you any follow-up on what is going on. They also are clueless when it comes to "Mopar Warranties". Running out of places to go since Chapman is even worse. I was told by a representative that Fred Beans does not have a tow truck. The key fob for my car is broken, so for Christmas a few people chipped in and got me a new fob, the thing cost $200. I called to see how much it would cost to get it activated. I had to contact them 6 different times. I called, they said someone would call me back and no one ever did. I emailed, no response at all. I was actively texting one of their team members and out of nowhere I stop getting replies then hours later Rachael tells me she can't help me, have a good day. So I call again and they tell me the fob activation is going to cost another $70. If I want a key blank cut that's going to be another $55. So far we're at $320 to get a whole replacement key from them, not to mention the attitude and run around I got from the assholes who work there. I called a local locksmith, he told me he could get me a new fob, activate the fob, get a new key, and cut the new key all at my house for $220. Fred beans is a scam. read more

He just wanted to see some pictures and read more about the vehicle. Like a lot of people considering some future, large purchase, we like to do our research. Since clicking that one link, "Bob" from the Fred Beans dealership calls him several times -- every single day. After several calls throughout the day (my partner has a day job and sales calls he didn't ask for are unwelcome), Bob eventually leaves a voicemail asking for a return call. Then there are the text messages and multiple emails on top of these calls from the dealership. Who taught these people about marketing? Who told them you could harass someone into making a vehicle purchase? What we have decided is we definitely WILL NOT ever buy a car from Fred Beans. As an aside, I was practically chased from this dealership nearly 10 years ago by the most rude salesperson I have ever dealt with. I told him Kelly Bluebook research showed a GMC Envoy on their lot should have a slightly better price and he told me "people don't negotiate prices anymore, but I'll knock $100 off if that will make you feel like you got a deal." I walked out, drove to another GMC dealership a few miles away and bought the same model (different color) and got it for the price I wanted (apparently negotiating wasn't dead yet). Purchased a used 2019 Promaster from Dustin in sales back in November. I called two weeks ago to try and schedule regular service and no one returned my call. Yesterday we started having an issue with the transmission and the van cannot be driven. Called back today to try and get it towed in this week and the next available service appointment is July 18. We paid $2500 for an additional protection plan and the lip service we received on purchase was them wanting us as customers for life. They have clearly overstretched themselves and we're now out a vehicle less than a year after purchase. We won't be customers for life we will actually never return to this dealer. Purchased my 2014 wrangler rubicon about 1.5 years ago, with 22000 miles. It now (1-2-2019 ) has 33000 miles on it. I am the second owner of this Vehicle, sold by Beans both times. I find that when it rains, I have 1-3.5 inches of water in the front floor pans. It's created a musty smell and moldy carpets and just shouldn't happen. Brought it in to them today ( 1-2-2019 ) to have leak stopped. They claim door seals are bad and will fix for $745 dollars. Yes it's past the YEAR on warranty. But honestly wouldn't you expect recent year vehicle to not flood from the doors? Not very helpful, Rich tosses a card with Chrysler's number on it. At this point I'm waiting for call backs from both places to see what can be done. It's not their fault it leaks, but for a $35000 vehicle you'd imagine they would want to keep a customer happy. I'm feeling positive, and imagine I will have to escalate this. If either party wants to do the right thing...repair something that is a minimum expectation...doors that keep RAIN out...I'll amend this. *** It took some perseverance, but Chrysler ( and by proxy ) Beans took care of the issue for 100$. I felt that was fair. I'm not a jerk off, I just don't want a leaky car. It remains to see if the repair worked, it hasn't rained yet. But I'm hopeful. What a scam these people are!! So I am in the market for a new Jeep. This would be my fifth Jeep, and I have been a Jeep owner/enthusiast for over 25 years. I start my search with Cars.com and whittle down my search to a few Jeeps I like in the area. One of the Jeeps I was looking at showed a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport fully loaded selling for $37,085. All of the images show the bigger tires, lift kit, nav screen, etc. The verbiage in the listing calls out that it has a "Dealer Installed: 2 Mopar Lift". (Screenshots of the ad included) I reach out to the dealership and ask if they can do any better on the price. A few days later their Internet Sales Manager, Umer Khan, responds telling me the base price is $37,085, but the internet sales price is $43,500. I just assumed this was an error... So I respond asking if this is a mistake, and he comes back with 'This jeep is lifted base price is 37 and change we have invested about 8000 in it' For starters - it's a Sport Model. Why would ANYONE pay $37,000 for a base Sport model?? You can get a base Rubicon for that price?! If you pay $37,085 for a BASE Sport Model that they SHOULD be selling for around 27-30,000, I have a ketchup popsicle to sell you. I let him know the listing shows images of the lifted Jeep and oversized tires, and that it specifically calls out the fact that it's lifted with a final sale price of the car at "$37, 085. His response "I can get you the lifted one for 43500 and if you want similar one without lift 36500". So at this point I am just annoyed at how deceptive the ad appears and respond again telling him to update the advertisement because it simply comes across as a bait and switch to me. He says "Sure, I will mention that to my team." So over the next few days I keep an eye on the ad, nothing changes. 3 Separate individuals then contact me each day via email asking me about my experience - including their General Sales Manager John Miller - I tell each of them all of the above I just told you, and stressed the fact that the ad is deceptive and needs to be changed. No response from any of them, and no change to the advertisement. Finally over the weekend Umer Khan gets back to me with the following "I tried to reach out to you to find out which jeep you are interested in I explained about the jeep you looked at online , I apologize for the confusion you are having about the pricing . So are you looking for lifted jeep or just a regular jeep." About the confusion I am having?? Are you kidding me? These people list a Jeep for $37,085 that both shows images and calls out the fact that it's lifted, and then when you reach out to them they tell you it's $6,415 more than the sale price listed on their site? I tell them several times to update the listing because it comes across as a bait and switch and for over a week now they have given me lip service while leaving the listing as is. I stopped being interested in purchasing this vehicle when they told me the internet price to begin with since it is just a Sport model at an ungodly selling price, but I hate it when companies go out of their way to rip people off. They've always made room in the schedule for my Jeep, never tried to sell me more services than I needed, kept me informed of the repair process, and always charged me a fair price. They run frequent specials and meet or beat any advertised price. There is absolutely no reason to take your car or truck for service anywhere else. Special "going way beyond your job requirement" award goes to Susan (Service Adviser) who picked me up at the car rental agency after the Fred Beans Shuttle stopped running to drive me back to the dealership, saving me the 30 minute wait for an Uber. My family purchased a 2021 a Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid in February 2021. Less than a year into ownership, the engine is making an awful grinding sound, so much so we are afraid to even drive it. Fred Beans told us they were booked for over a month in advance and wouldn't be able to help us but we could drop the car off. However, they wouldn't even give us a loaner car until they are able to look at it. That would leave us without a car for over a month. This is an 11 month old car with a severe grinding noise in the engine. If we take it anywhere else outside of Chrysler, it voids the warranty. We are afraid to drive it as is because what If driving makes the issue worse? Then what? I have never been so disgusted by customer service. This car is virtually brand new. Brought in my 2018 Grand Cherokee (lease vehicle) since both batteries died and were replaced incorrectly ( outside shop since Jeep service has limited work hours). After a week and $1,288 the "reset" was done, the car finally was working again. I reached out to Fred Beans to see if there was any way the dealership and the Jeep brand will support their customers and ease the financial burden their subpar technology causes. Sadly, this dealership was not interested in customer retention or customer satisfaction. The manager I dealt with basically told me it was my fault the batteries were replaced incorrectly. At no point did Fred Beans offer to remediate the cost incurred on a less than 3 year old vehicle, none of what occurred was covered under warranty nor were they willing to even refund the cost of the batteries themselves. Truly the worst dealership I've encountered. Last summer (2017) I was in the market for a lease of a new Wrangler for my wife. The terms I wanted (15k/yr) were unheard of for the Sales person and Sales Manager and when I finally did get a price, it was astronomical. 2 days later, I leased a higher trimmed Wrangler from another dealer at almost $100/month cheaper. Fast forward to June, 2018, and I am in the market for a pre-owned Toyota 4Runner. I find that Fred Beans Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep has two of them on their lot. I go to their dealership and not one person approached me, even after standing in the showroom for 5 minutes waiting. I asked a sales person who was one of 3 or 4 doing nothing, and he told me he'd find someone to help me (not sure why he, himself, couldn't help me). 10 minutes later, no one had yet came to help me, so I left. The absolute worst experience with a car dealership that I've ever had. From the day I signed the paperwork they couldn't be less helpful if they tried. Got a flat tire, they told me it would be 10 days before they could get another one. Had it replaced the next morning at local shop down the street. Air suspension broke and they told me they needed to order a part. 1 1/2 months go by without a call. I call them, yes part is here and been here sorry we didn't call. Brought my Jeep in to have part installed. Also requested oil change and tire rotation. They charge my Jeep Wave acct for tire rotation. The tire I replaced had a yellow circle stamp on it and it was in same position. Never rotated tires. Who knows if they even changed my oil. Call up assistant service manager and his idea of a "fix" was for me to take another morning off of work and bring the Jeep back and they will promise to rotate them. My car would not start and I had it towed here. They had worked on my car 3 times for over a week. Every time I received my car back, a week later it would not start. Even though they sold me on hundreds of dollars in parts and labor and claimed that they fixed the issue. After receiving the car back the first time, there was a hole in my muffler and the tire pressure sensor was broken. They proceeded to try to sell me on getting those fixed, even though when the car arrived there those two items were not broken. Called to complain to the manager and demanded that they fixed the issue this time for free and he then told me "why is it our fault your car isn't fixed?" The next phone call I made was to the Better Business Bureau. Everyone that I know who purchased a car here regretted the purchase at this dealership for the lack of customer service and overpriced vehicles. I saw a 2017 Subaru Impreza on their website that had 77,000 miles. However, when I checked the Carfax, it had 27,000 miles. I spoke to a salesman and told him of the error. He said that it was a misprint, but that I could have the car at the lower price. All good, right? I decided to have the car delivered, due to Covid-19. Big mistake, I should have just gone to get it. The salesman said that he was driving it to my house. I thought that was weird but didn't say anything. He showed up at the house with the car, which had a huge dent in the driver's side rocker panel. He had some long convoluted story about what had happened. Supposedly it fell off a car lift at the shop, but I think he ran over a curb on the way to my house. Nobody had looked underneath the car to check for additional damage, and he still expected me to take the car. He said, " You're already getting over $3,000 off the car."Um excuse me, does that mean it's alright to give me a banged up car, just because I got a good deal. I told him that I wish he would have called, and I would have saved him a trip. I told him to take the car right back. After he left, I immediately called the dealership and left a message for finance, telling them that I need my deposit money back. I haven't heard back yet, but I already contacted the bank to do a charge-back on my credit card. Don't deal with Fred Beans! If you get a good deal, I guess you are a total lowlife in their eyes. My Service Rep was Rafael "Ray" Melendez. Ray is newer to the Fred Beans service team but I found him to be very professional and courteous. He had a positive and high energy persona. Even when service took longer than expected because of warranty issues Ray was gracious and took time to explain the predicament in detail.
