Went here to eat with my boyfriend on a Sunday. Was pretty crowded which I like to see. I definitely recommend eating in the bar area rather than dining area. The dining area is dark with direct lighting in certain spots that aren't too appealing to the eye. Reminds me of a hotel banquet hall, tables are pretty close together which leads to no privacy. When we got the food, the first thing I noticed is how big the portions are! Great thing cause now I have leftovers. But food was just ok. I got the tour of Italy. Ravioli, Alfredo, and chicken Parmesan. Ravioli was very watery and made the whole plate watery at the bottom. Definitely watered down the sauce of everything and made it flavorless. It's just okay. Great portion sizes and tasty chicken in the chicken parm meal, ambience of the restaurant is nice but there was rock music playing and it all felt a little weird. Bread and portion sizes are very generous, albeit for a high price, 20$ for my entree alone. The pasta tasted bland and the red sauce wasn't enough to save it. I would describe it as a local very bad copy of Buca di Beppo. When you go to Buca with a large group you sacrifice a bit of quality for the great family environment. Here is just bad food, overpriced, poor service. A shame for owners cause you can tell they have spent some money on recent renovations. This was our first experience with Fratelli's and we had no reservation and was told there would be a two hour wait. Just when we were ready to leave the said they would have a table for us in five minutes. A touch expensive but, they give you a lot of food and it was very good and the service was good too. Wanted the prime, didn't have any, wanted a lobster cocktail, didn't have any lobster for it. Had to settle for a new york strip, which I might add was very good, cooked just the way i like it and instead of the lobster cocktail ended up getting the clams for an appetizer, they were alright. Went there last night with a party of 17! I ordered filet mignon - MEDIUM RARE. It came medium well to well! Sent it back and watched everyone else eat their dinners! When it finally came out it was RAW, not medium rare, not rare it was RAW. By this time I said forget my dinner because everyone else was about finished and it was obvious by the reaction I got from our waitress that she had had it with us. Went there on a spur of the moment thing, and boy color me surprised. The food was absolutely delicious. It's a bit pricey, but adequate for the homemade food and the portions are huge. You definately get more than what you paid for and you can't beat how good the food was. The place is a bit small, therefore you'll be sitting pretty close to your neighbor, but that's ok. We certainly had a nice conversation going back and forth, as well as discussing different plates. Will definately do again. read more

My wife and I visited Fratelli's for the first time last night for dinner and the best word we can use to describe the experience is PERFECT. The atmosphere is cozy, the help is very professional without being stuck up and the food defies description. Not that my wife and I are fine diners by any means, but we can usually nitpick and find a couple things to complain about, even at our favorite restaurants. Fratelli's, however, gave us nothing to work with in this regards, absolutely perfect. We arrived a little after 7 and were pleased to see some cars in the parking lot but not a crowd outside. We were seated right away in the very homey, albeit dated, dining area. If you're looking for a place to sit and feel like a big shot, this is not it. If you're looking to have a meal in your imaginary italian grandma's dining room, this is more the fit. We started with the fried calamari, which was incredible. Both my wife and I are big calamari fans and almost always order it as an appetizer when eating Italian. We both agreed this is the best calamari we have ever had. The texture and consistency of the pieces were unlike anything either of us have tried, they had the perfect middle ground between rubbery and mushy. It came with a bowl of thin red sauce that was equally delicious, subtle enough to let the calamari flavor be the main event. For our entree's my wife had the Italian Trio(Alfredo, Ravioli, Chicken Parm) and I had a plate of Lobster Stuffed Ravioli's off the specials menu. My entree was not actually intended to be an entree, but was a special appetizer that day. Sensing my disappointment that it was just an app and not a meal, the waitress immediately went to the kitchen to ask if he would prepare it as a dinner for me. The answer was yes and I tell you I could not be more thankful because these Ravioli's were out of this world! I really wish I had taken a photo of this plate because it was heavenly handmade pasta, stuffed with chunks of lobster and covered in a white cheesy seafood sauce. While I'm sure I would've been happy with just about anything on the menu, it was because of the awareness and great service of our waitress that this experience was even made possible. Compliments to chef as well of course! I brought one home for the babysitter(Grandma) and upon tasting it she said, and I quote "I have never tasted anything like this in my life, it's incredible". My wife's plate was similarly awesome, we both looked at eachother in dismay when her plate was dropped on the table because this thing was HUGE. The portions of each the ravioli, pasta and chicken parm could've served as meals on their own and needless to say we brought the majority of it home. Being fiends for Italian food, we have obviously had these items from countless other places but there was something distinct about the flavor. Also, none of the sauces were overly sweet, which I find to be the common trend with italian these days. We finished the night at the bar for a drink where the bartender could not have been more enjoyable. We had a enjoyable and casual conversation for a half hour or so before heading on our way, containers in hand. It is somewhat of a rare occasion for us to have the night to ourselves and I could not imagine a better experience for such an occasion. This is my most lengthy review but I feel I could go on and on about the experience we enjoyed last nite at Fratelli's. I hear they get very busy on the weekends so you may want to make a reservation to be safe, but if you can make it you definitely should. While I have only visited once, I can safely stake my name on this place, its AWESOME! read more

We had our son and fiancée from Colorado surprise engagement party in the bar area. They let us bring and hang banner, engraved beer mugs along with cake ( for $5 extra which was fine). The waitress was fantastic and let us greet everyone, got us cocktails took our order, and never rushed us, which meant so much! Wanted to try this place as we live quite close. Well......looks like we will have to drive a bit further for nice night out! We had reservations but still got a table right in the traffic lane of the kitchen! As if that wasn't bad enough a server dropped a full plate of food right next to our table! Shortly after that a bus boy dropped a 1/2 full water glass which shattered like a grenade ALSO right next to out table!!! NOT my idea of a relaxing dinner out. My 26.00 veal piccatta was bland and maybe contained 3.00 worth of food, I could make much better at home and wouldn't have to dodge broken dinnerware! Appetizer came with dinner. Two of us ordered broiled scallops. Six medium sized scallops and a few broccoli crowns for thirty dollars. The price didn't bother me, it was the quality. Not impressive. One of us ordered Alfredo. Looked good and he liked it. One ordered eggplant parm. She could only get through two fork fulls. Was not made right. Told the waitress when she came over to ask how everything is. She then walked away like she didn't care. Why even bother asking the question? My family decided to go to Fratelli's for mom's birthday dinner. She turned 87 years old. We made reservations for 6:00 p.m. When we arrived, the hostess told me the table was not ready and to let her know when we were had all arrived. We had a big group of 16 people. Because the table was not ready, we asked for a chair for our mother to sit while waiting for the table. After waiting over 40 minutes, one of our group approached the hostess to ask if the table was ready yet. It had been ready for quite some time and we were never informed by the hostess that it was ready. We all were very, very disappointed with the level of attention we received from the hostess. The wait took an awful lot out of our mom. The hostess was very neglectful in not getting us to our table in a timely manner. Most of us enjoyed our dinners, but it ended up being a very long night for our mom and us. Because of this experience, we will think twice before returning. read more

The bread was delicious but it didn't have the hard crust I expect for an Italian bread. I had the Eggplant Parm. The portion was good but the eggplant was too greasy and salty. Traveling through the area on our way back to PA. Just happened to stop here for supper. Wow! Really great authentic Italian food. Our family had spagetti, seafood, steak, calmari....everything was delicious. Needed a doggie bag but just HAD to try the dessert. We shared spamoni and a canoli. Fantastic! A real treat to find a real Italian place. I heard of spamoni and looked everywhefe for a restaurant that served it. The staff were so friendly. Vey clean...right down to the bathrooms. Too bad it is so far from our home! You can tell the owners and staff take great pride in the food they serve. I recently went here with a large party. We had a reservation. We arrived 10 minutes late due to an unscheduled delay. We all apologized upon walking in and were greeted with a snarky comment from the hostess about our lateness. After being seated, it took almost an hour before the soup and salad came. The waitress almost hit me in the head with the salad as she reached directly across my face to hand it to the woman sitting next to me. When our food finally came after we had already been there for almost 2 hours, it was average. Some reported their food was great. A friend of mine could barley eat her seafood Alfredo because it was swimming in thick flavorless Alfredo sauce. I got the tour of Italy. The chicken parm was very good, my Alfredo had the same sauce issue, and the raviolis were decent, although I only had 3 when I was supposed to get 4. We asked two separate people for checks and still were not given them. The waitress would disappear for 30 minutes at a time. When she finally brought the checks, we explained that we needed to get going because we were going to be charged extra for the limo, she said ok and went to run cards and took those who needed change up. When she returned, she re-read every check to herself trying to figure out whose it was instead of just reading the name, and she didn't even have the change for those who needed it! I was wondering if this was a new waitress but a friend confirmed she was not. It was absolutely ridiculous. And this was not the first time I've experienced this kind of lengthy and terrible service here. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but will not be going back.
