Very Slow, pizza was subpar, wings were decent, salads were fresh..Young lady was really busting her butt and nice. Very understaffed!!

Just placed an order BASED on the MENU prices on line. It states on the site that it was updated July 2025. However I was charged completely different, higher prices. When I questioned it, I was told oh a customer must have posted that. Are you kidding me. NO! It's their menu phamlet. Not only did they not honor the prices listed, the food was disgusting. In town from out of the area, and was in the mood for pizza and wings, so we gave "Top Shelf" a try. Got a large cheese pizza, b/c in my opinion...if a place can't make the cheese pizza right, there's no point in coming back. The crust was ok, a little dry, and a little puffy for my taste (but I'll let it slide, as that seems to be the regional style) good sauce and a nice amount of cheese. Was it my favorite ever? No, but it's a solid cheese pizza. The wings. Well let's say what they were lacking in size, was made up for in heat. The "hot" sauce had a nice bite to it, with decent flavor. I have to say this place has gone down hill badddddd! I walked in to pick up my pizza only to find 2 small children playing in the flour used to spread the dough for pizza, I was absolutely shocked at what I was watching and the employees just acted like it was ok. this other customer says to me the just came in before you got here so I think our pizzas where already made. Last Wednesday we ordered a medium pizza and dozen wings for delivery for our first try from this pizza place. It was just great!!! Delivery was faster than expected and the food was really good. Vacationing in the area and saw that this establishment had a good rating so I thought I would give it a try. Excellent food and service. This was my first time ordering from Top Shelf but when I am in the area, I will definitely order again. I've had pizza from all over the U.S. and this is one of the better pizza places. We ordered the Pizza and Wing Combo: Large Pizza with cheese, sausage, meatballs, and mushrooms. Everything was fresh and not canned. Ordered the wings with half of the order with their custom 'Hat-trick' sauce and the other half of the order with 'Country Sweet' sauce and asked to make the wings crispy. The wings were cooked to perfection, nice and crispy, and not soggy, or rubbery to chew. The pizza crust was golden brown, a nice sweeter tasting marinara sauce is used to offset the savory toppings. My bullet test is next-day pizza and wings. Still delicious after the second day and the wings still crispy. Great experience! read more

I ordered 2 pizzas one with just pepperoni and one with pepperoni, sausage, and mushrooms, and asked for it to be well done. I got these pizzas delivered atb6pm on a wendsday, not exactly a busy day. I had company over (3 teenagers) and my family. Both pizzas had raw dough still. No body ate more then one slice due to it being gross. The next day I tried to call the manager and was told that he was not in. I told the people quick what happened and gave them my information. Noone ever called me back. So I called again on Friday and was told by the manager that there was nothing that he would for me because I did not call that night. I had company over and by this point is was 6:30 and it would have been 7:30 by the time I got new pizzas. That would have not helped anything. All I asked for was half my money back (25$) and I would bring him the pizza back to see. Once again he said that there was nothing he would due because I did not call that night. I feel like what I was asking was not that much, after all I paid 56$ including tip on pizza that even teens would not eat. I have bought pizza there before and it was raw then also. Thats why I wanted it well done. I will never go back here again!!!! Papa Joe's pizza is WAY better. read more

I have only ever tried the pizza. We really admire the crust of the pizza. It reminds us of genuine bread made from a bakery but it doesn't have any flavor. I think it would be a huge difference if they just brushed some garlic butter on the dough before baking. Even with all the toppings, the flavor is kind of just absent. The absolute best pizza I've had in a long time! The Buffalo Wing pizza was fantastic and my husband said the same about his peparoni. We we're traveling through Honeoye around 1:00 p m. and this was the ONLY restaurant that was open besides Subway. Turns out that was very fortunate for us. Yelp found it for us which was good because it isn't on the main Street. I was a little doubtful when I first saw the building but trust me that has nothing to do with the food. There are places to sit and eat (not just take out.) Pretty extensive menu for a pizza place. And very reasonable prices. We will make this place a regular stop when we are in the area or just out riding. read more

I stumbled upon this pizza place the day after Christmas when it seemed like everything was closed in Honeoye. I wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered 2 slices and a Coke and the bill was under $6. The slices we're huge - I really could have gotten away with eating just one, but it was so good I took on the second slice like Adam Richmond in Man vs. Food. The crust was impeccable and the sauce was very flavorful. The pepperoni was just the right level of spicy. I'm lactose intolerant, but every bite was worth the pain. This has been a long time favorite of my family and my in-laws, however due to the recent decline in order accuracy, increase in delivery times and total lack of customer service skills, there's three families who won't order there anymore. The past two orders we had placed (before last night) had been incorrect. The tickets will say the correct thing, but the food will be wrong-so it's a total lack of attention to detail. We had wings delivered once that were completely the wrong order-called and was told we could bring them back or they'd remake them but it would take an hour. We were having people over before a concert so we had no time to wait for another delivery and just dealt with it. The next order, we decided to pick up-and that was also wrong. They offered to deliver to us at no charge and an hour later, we had a pizza. So... it only took us 1.5 hours from when we called. Not great. There was no discount, no apology. The girl at the counter was rude and acted annoyed at us for their error when the ticket clearly stated what we had said... it just had the wrong pizza in the box. (Also no concern for where the correct pizza was. Did it get made? Was someone else's order mixed up? Ah... the mystery of top shelf!) The kicker is the order we placed for wings last night. We were told it would be delivered in 45 minutes, so at an hour and 20 minutes after the order had been placed with no sign of the delivery personnel, I called to see what was happening. The girl on the phone was rude, stated that it was on its way... but it was for two orders of wings. We live seven minutes from the shop. I explained that doubling delivery time without so much as a call was unacceptable and the girl put me on "hold"-which is to say she set down the phone to yell across the shop at her co-worker about what was happening in the phone. What happened next was an exchange between her and a coworker (manager?) where they shouted back and forth, and this other employee used profanity and a rather unpleasant phrase to state that if we were unhappy with delivery times, we should have picked the order up. When the original girl came back on the phone, I told her I had heard what was said and that they could keep their wings-I wasn't interested in supporting their business any longer. Now, I don't know anyone who works there personally, and unless they've put a note on my file in their computer system, I'm not sure anyone there is qualified to comment on the size or status of my derrière, or speculate that it was a lack of energy or will power on my part to pick up an order let alone a "lazy" issue; but here's what I can say: if you want to see a great example of how not to provide customer service, just call top shelf. The girls are rude from the moment they answer the phone. God forbid you interact with them in person, because then you get to see them be inconvenienced face to face. Which makes me think that maybe management is either uninvolved or uninterested, since the constant employee turnover means that every fresh batch of pizza people are initiated into this sense that customer service doesn't matter. The shop is constantly closing without notice, has no answering machine to tell people their hours and is the source of plenty of speculation around town and on social media. Just ask the question "who owns top shelf?" and there are plenty of people willing to give less than stellar opinions of the place, so I'm not sure what will happen if I ever get the chance to speak with the owner, or if I ever will. We were on the fence about continuing to order there. We were the last of our three families in town to continue using them as our pizza place of choice. The other two had given up because they swore that their name had a note next to it that said, "mess up this order!" Last night solidified the idea that we are done supporting this local business. We can deal with mistakes-nobody's perfect. We can't deal with rudeness-that will make or break an entire experience for sure. Good pizza won't get you everywhere, kids. You need better customer service and basic manners.... and maybe some adult supervision wouldn't hurt. read more

Great food and Pizza...In fact one of the better Pizza places in the county. I would give it 5 stars ..however the big fail at Top Shelf is the shitty help from a couple certain "Kids" who work there. Often we call and get some snotty girl on the phone. Maybe the owner and management should send these kids to "Customer Service" class...ask if they would like something else, slow down when they talk, and remember, your only as good as the customers that spend money there. The food is good but the staff is extremely rude and have no customer service skills at all. We ordered fish frys and they called back to say they ran out of the dinner size fish. I was offered 3 smaller pieces as an option. I took one with the 3 pieces and the other with only one piece. I was still charged full price for both. When I asked about it, the girl was rude, telling me I should have taken the 3 that was offered. Apparently happy customers are not important to them. read more
