Nine years later and I am back for an update. Like the previous time, their sauce is still a bit sweet. But, I didn't mind it as much now because it was something different. I am learning to appreciate that different areas, and different stores, have different ways of doing things. They put lots of cheese and topping on the pizza so if you are into that you will like this place. Their crust still didn't have much flavor, and it was pretty crispy, but I thought it was okay. I ordered the large cheesesteak sandwich with everything on it. It was the best cheesesteak I have ever had. The bread was crisp but soft the cheese was melty and overflowing and the steak was delicious. I would recommend this place. read more

Stopped in for a pizza on the fifth of July this year as they were about the only place open anywhere and I ordered a BBQ chicken pizza and a single order of medium wings. The BBQ pizza was okay but needed more sauce; it felt a bit dry and didn't have enough BBQ flavor/sauce overall. The wings were very disappointing, covered in oil/grease and felt barely cooked, (that rubbery gross wing thing some places do yuck!) and didn't taste medium or mild or like frankly anything to me for that matter. Stopped here with friends for food after visiting letchworth, the food was okay but I can't say I recommend. Was about a 40+ minute wait for 3 things. One out of the three items was wrong so my friend had to wait another 15 minutes for the right sandwich. Now that wouldn't be horrible on it's own, but what got me was you could a hear a worker behind the counter aggressively yelling at the staff. After the first twenty minutes of waiting (and realizing it'd be a while) we sat outside while one person waited for the food to spare us from overhearing the uncomfortable yelling. read more

I asked how much a large two topping pizza cost. $16.18 I proceeded to order a large with double pepperoni. The young man told me that would be $20.64. So, I was like, okay that's fine. My review is as follow: the dough is nothing special, but I do like the sauce. I guess what irritates me the most, is the toppings. After baking the pie there is no visible mozzarella at the top two inches of MOST pieces. They skimp on the cheese. They count the pepperonI, yes count. I paid over $4 more for 4 extra pieces on each piece. I have only ordered pizza from them maybe 5x and this has been the closest pizza place to my house for 20 years now. I have pizza several times a months, but from other pizzerias. I cannot understand their pettiness. Obviously if a customer orders double of any topping they must really enjoy it. I don't even know where to start. If I could give lower than one star, I would! We were going to stop in Corning to go to our favorite place there, but we were really hungry after trekking around Letchworth State Park all day and decided to give this place a try. When we walked up to the counter, despite the fact that there were 5 or 6 people running around, no one even acknowledged that we were there. Finally a kid came in the door and around the counter and asked if we needed something. We ordered our pizza and sat down to wait. When the pizza came and we started eating (after standing at the counter for silverware and being ignored again), I said to my husband that I've had frozen pizza that was wayyy better than this. This place was low key and tasty. The Grandma's Favorite was so good! It doesn't have mozzarella cheese on it, only Romano, and is made with a sweet sauce like my own Grandma made. I stop here on my trips from Buffalo to the finger lakes (mostly in preparation for drinking... let's just say, "a lot.") The calzones are huge. The fish fry is also really big. So I guess what they have going for them is that everything they make will fill you up. It's not the most flavorful experience but it's definitely an excellent preventative measure if you're about to go wine tasting. The service is comical in a rather enjoyable way. The kitchen is open so you get to hear all of the conversations which I can assure you are a great part of the dining experience. The ambiance is extremely casual, you can go ahead and move your own tables, no one cares. And there's a little outdoor seating. For some cheap eats, great place. read more

We were in town for a family reunion. We picked up a very large "party pizza". It was excellent! I'm not usually a fan of the thick crust pizza but this was excellent! Only thing this place has going for them is that they are the only pizza place in town. Just about every time I order a pizza, it is barely cooked. Which, if you're into that then I suppose that this is the place for you. The last time I got a pizza there, I requested that they leave it in the oven a bit longer and make it crispy. I come home after picking the pizza up only to discover that it was severely undercooked. This was not the first time I had to cook the pizza the rest of the way in my oven at home after ordering from them. So, I basically gave up on the pizza there. So, thinking that perhaps the chicken fingers and fries were a safe bet, I decided to make two orders of chicken fingers and fries after work one day. When I got home after picking them up, it turns out that all but one chicken finger were completely flat and mainly consisted of breading. The fries were okay though. So I ended up paying $20.10 for fried rubbery breading. I just don't understand what is going on here, there have been times when the food had hit the mark and was exceptional. But most of the time, like ALL the time it is the worst food I ever had. Don't waste your money and respect your body by literally eating anything else but this crap. If you are driving through, I would suggest driving a few more minutes to find an actual decent pizza place if you can find one. Or eat at some other restaurant in the area. read more

I like Leaning Tower. I like their subs. But after tonight I don't think I will be going back to this location. We ordered a sub, fries and a drink. It was tasty, but we wanted a little more. So I ordered a cheeseburger "tower plate". When we started eating it the potatoes were severely under-cooked. They were NOT crisp like they should have been from the fryer and the insides were firm. They were clearly undercooked. When I took the time to mention it to the staff at the counter I was met with blank stares and an attitude that basically said "What do you want us to do about it?!" There were no offer to replace the undercooked food. No apology for their error caused by rushing. Nothing. Just blank stares and a shrug. My money is worth something to me. If I choose to spend it at your restaurant you better earn it. My wife and I sacrifice our time and lives to earn those dollars and when we choose to spend them we expect nothing less than what we paid for. The workers callous attitude and lack of concern about the low quality of food they produced make me re-think eating at this restaurant again. I've never had this issue with the Dansville location and in the future I will simply go there for my food. Sadly this restaurant earned this poor rating and a loss of future business because they couldn't admit their mistake and properly fry up 50 cents worth of frozen tater tots. How sad. read more

Placed an order tonight for a cheeseburger tower plate with no onions for delivery, food arrived 15 minutes early. There was no cheese on the tower plate and it was loaded with onions. I would rather them take the whole 45 minutes like they said it would on the phone if it means they will get my order right. This happens way to much. My husband and I had one of, if not the best pizza tonight. We ordered a chicken wing pizza to be delivered from the specialty pizza menu. We asked for the celery to be chopped and added to the pizza before being cooked. They happily said "no problem". The delivery man, BJ, was prompt and friendly. The pizza was perfect! I went into the Leaning Tower on a Friday night at approximately 9:15pm. I ordered a slice of cheese pizza, mozzarella sticks and a julienne salad (along with two fountain drinks and a cookie that I got for myself... no screw ups there). I got back to my house and realized that the 'large' slice was mediocre at best, the mozzarella sticks were barely warm and served with blue cheese (is this america?) and my salad was not impressive at all. THAT IS NOT EVEN THE WORST PART!!!! The service was ghastly. The large, older man behind the counter scoffed at me when I asked for a couple sugar packets for my unsweetened iced-tea and when my boyfriend went back in to ask for marinara sauce for the mozzarella sticks the man acted like he asked for his first born child; AND tried to charge seventy five cents for their mistake. He didn't bring any money with him because why would he need to pay?!? WELL! the man instructed him that if he wasn't going to pay for the marinara that we had to bring the blue cheese back into the store. After we had already brought it home and after I had already put my finger in it to taste what it was. Everything about our experience was awful. The pizza sauce is sickly sweet and the pizza dough is ALWAYS, ALLLLWAYYYSSS slimy and gooey. I recommend NO ONE waste their time eating here. You'd be better off driving to Geneseo, Nunda or Rochester. At least there you won't be verbally assaulted about a blue cheese/marinara mix up. read more

The tables and floors were dirty and there were 5 people behind the counter. We were the only people in the place! They seemed to stare at us when we ate, and were not friendly. The pizza was OK, the spinach pizza was worth eating, but the regular pizza was up there with the quality of Chuckie Cheese pizza. Lived here for over twenty years and eaten a LOT of LT's Pepperoni pizza. We usually order light sauce because they use plenty. There have been several competitors over the years but Leaning Tower is still here. Presently there is only one competitor in the village. The pizzas are about "the same but different" . I clearly prefer Lt's subs/hoagies by far. I think there is plenty of room for two pizza parlors in town because everyone has different taste preferences.
