Small dining area I ate in.

Daryl's is a crazy busy take out place with a small eat in area with seating for @ 16. I had a small all vegetable bespoke pizza that was delicious.

Huge portion Landfill plate for Ed !!

Great spot for take-away near Silver Lake. We ordered the Greek pizza and a Landfill plate for our son. We were happy with the selections and the price point was not an issue as we had two meals worth of pizza and our son had two meals and a breakfast from his hamburger landfill plate !

They have all kinds of food to eat. Check out all the menus plastered on the walls.

Stopped in with a couple work colleagues for lunch. All three of us got a slice of pizza and a cold beverage from the case along with a fourth slice to go for someone back at the office for under $20. A good deal for someone visiting from the expensive Washington DC suburbs but maybe par for the course around here. I was initially put off by the pizza slices sitting in a circular warmer up front like I might see in a 7-11. My slice of supreme though was hot and fresh. Definitely no where near the best pizza I have had nor the worse but somewhere in middle. The folks working here were friendly to us and served us quickly. They have quite an extensive menu beyond just pizza slices but we were trying to eat light today. The place looked a little iffy to me from the outside being next to a multi bay garage but once through the front door it was fine. It may look small from the outside but they have a dining room next door with plenty of tables. We arrived around 1230pm and had no problems finding seats.

Great spot for pizza and wings! Will definitely return the next time I'm in the area!

    Rotten spinach.

See that dark, slimy stuff on the spinach? That means it's rotten and you shouldn't serve that to people. If one or two bad leaves make it in, that's understandable. But when half the salad is rotten that's negligence or incompetence. Either way, it's not acceptable.

Food is good. I prefer the sweet sauce when ordering pizza. Specialty pizzas are all good!

Pizza was burnt, boneless wings were not even cooked throughly. Never ordering from there again.

Best buffalo wing pizza I've had in ages, also it comes with blue cheese like it should not ranch (although I'm sure you could get it if you asked).

For…read moreexample, If I am a food snob who eats at Michelin 5-star restaurants across the world, everything else would be 0s. So, to put the Country Kitchen up against the restaurants I usually review in Rochester, Buffalo and along my travels, I'd probably likewise rate it pretty low. So with that being said, I am going to approach this in one of the following 3 contexts: 1.) I'm local to the area and my options around me around limited. 2.) I either spent the day or am about to enter Letchworth State Park or Silver Lake and need a hearty meal or 3.) I chose to venture out of a Day trip from the city. I cannot say I know what the competition is like. I know of a few good restaurants in Mount Morris, Avon, Geneseo, etc. I'll just say that we were in town for the Chalk Art festival and in hindsight, we should've gone with the Poutine food truck. Let's get to the experience... 5 of us went inside to dine, leaving the festival scene outside. The place is a large family style restaurant that is showing its age. It can definitely use a modern makeover. The dingy drop ceilings held up by gold framing would've been a wow factor... in 1985. The specials were on two white boards hanging on the far wall in small handwriting. Especially awkward was that they were hanging directly over occupied tables! So I walked up to the table, excused myself and said "Sorry, I'm reading the specials on the board above you." They looked understandably annoyed. The main menu is typical diner food, but something about how it looked like it was printed on Print Shop Pro, also from 1985, made it really hard on the eyes to figure it all out. We ordered an appetizer sampler platter and taco logs, both of which were a hit for the family. The entrees were good sized and tasted good, but the portions on the sides were small. It was OK for us because we gorged ourselves on appetizers. My wife did not eat any appetizers and felt shortchanged on her fries (which we paid extra for because they were not included in her meal. Overall, the food was GOOD, albeit plain. The service was good, no complaints there. The restrooms were scary. Like, I'd should've used the festival pot-a-potty outside scary. Restrooms need a total gut job. So if this was Greece, I'd give it 1 or 2 stars. Taking everything into context, especially location and competition and the fact that it was not entirely a horrible experience, I'll be generous and give it a 3. Probably not someplace we'd come back to until we've tried the competition first.

I was in town for a wedding and Mama Mia's definitely clinches the best pizza around. I'm a Chicago boy but I love my NYC style, too, and this place hits it out of the park. I'm surprised the ratings aren't higher. The restaurant is located on the Main Street of a cute college town (SUNY Geneseo). At Mama Mia's I ate the Bianca (white pizza with ricotta is how I judge all NY style pizza places), which was rich and garlicky and delicious. The Sausage and the mushroom pizzas were fantastic as well. The owner, Eddie (from Brooklyn, I found out), was making the pies when I walked in. I saw some slices behind the counter with shaved ham and sesame seeds on the crust. He asked me what I was looking at and I told him I wanted to make sure there was no pineapple. He laughed and said, "No judgement" -- I told him I do judge and I'm glad no pineapple was in sight! He took a slice and heated it up and gave it to me to eat (for free!) while I was waiting for the rest of my order. The sesame seeds on the crust were a revelation!! I loved the place so much I came back a second time a day later. If you are looking for fantastic NY pizza, this is the place. Oh, and the chicken Caesar salad was really good, too.
