Good serving size is good deal for the money good food great atmosphere good service, but it's losing a star because no free refills mmmm mmmmm mmmmm. It has a pizza joint, a burger and sandwich ice cream place. The serving sizes are great the pics are half or mostly eaten, but whadderyagonna do. They have a good system for sure. You order at a counter with tons of seating and wait at your table with a beeper. We came on a Friday, which boasted fish Friday's, and bragged about the seafood being from Boston. It wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't fresh seafood. The halibut was supposed to be lemon pepper and had no seasoning. Everything was edible and ok, but not impressive. Cool spot with lots of things to do with kids, but I'd pass next time. read more

What a discovery! My wife and I decided to have a family day today with our two daughters. She simply looked this place up on line and we drove out from Brockport. We played a round of Mini golf and finished with the best soft serve ice cream I have ever had. I almost teared up seeing this place. It was like something from my childhood. After checking out the Apple Umpkin festival, I was hungry and knew I had a little bit of a ride home; so of course I pull up my YELP and this spot came up with great reviews. As I pulled in, I felt the classic nostalgia vibe, and that inner kid in me, excited to check this place out. Love the set up, the Silver Lake drive in, bbq spot, and entertainment stage , is located behind the restaurant. I've been to Perry, NY before not that often; never realized this was here. Perfect location for locals, travelers and campers. The location is your one stop seasonal stop: food ranges from pizza, subs, chicken, burgers, and ice cream. The ice cream shop, as I checked out the girl that cashed me out, pointed to this little plastic container that said ice cream. So, as I grabbed my money to pay, I placed the icecream cone with napkin in the holder. Clever to have that there. Probably one of the best mini golf course, gem mining, arcade, with variety of seating, and everything is located in one spot. We stopped here by complete chance. We were driving back from a family vacation in Canada back to NYC/NJ. My husband said "find something to eat in about an hour" and I stumbled upon this place. As we were driving there, we were a little nervous. I guess being from a populated area we were not sure what to expect. This place ended up not disappointing, especially for the kids. Cute, campy theme. My kids enjoyed their kids meals in cardboard classic "cars" and my husband and I ordered salads. It's a little risky ordering salads at a place like this but they were really good! My husband also finished his meal off with the chili dog and enjoyed it. We had to rush off as we still had 5 hours left in our journey but there was a pizza shop there too, mini golf, arcades and a drive through movie theater. We like to eat one meal at the charcoal carral when camping at Letchworth. September 16th stopped in late for a broasted chicken meal. Headed to the camper after a long wait. We loved the nostalgic feel of this restaurant. We were staying at a nearby campground this week and came here two nights in a row for dinner because we enjoyed it so much. We wish we lived closer to this place! First night we saw a drive in movie and second night played miniature golf. As per him, he doesn't reserve any seats, we don't do that on the weekend, they're all booked, he doesn't have anything available and you would need at least 35 people if it's before 3pm on Sunday. All in the same breath! Not sure which part was true. I should've just stopped the conversation after his initial greeting of "I'm busy in the kitchen, what do you want?" Errr. With him as the Corral's representative, why even bother? I can't be the only one he has spoken to like that!?! The Corral was always our "go-to" but sadly, not after today. This local theme restaurant is an absolute gem! It has the restaurant, a pizzeria, an ice cream parlor, and mini-golf all rolled into one, situated right next to the drive-in theatre. The restaurant has standard burgers/dogs/chicken/sandwiches fare, but a fairly extensive menu. I went with a beef on Weck with cheddar. Taste-wise, it was delicious. It wasn't on the level of Pok-A-Dot, Red Osier, or the Charlie the Butcher options, but it was still really good. Not as much beef as the other places, and the bottom of the bun disintegrated from the juices, but it was still great. Also had the seasoned waffle fries, and Mac & Cheese. The waffle fries were average, could've used better seasoning. The Mac & Cheese was sub-par. Both were a tad overpriced @ $5 each, especially considering pretty small portions provided for both. Got a cherry milkshake from the parlor, and it was fantastic. $6. Charcoal Corral is a fun place with a great aesthetic, and I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area - the mini-golf looked fun! read more

Stayed in Perry after spending the day at Letchworth State Park and came for dinner. What a fun place! Probably more fun with younger kids though. It seems like a local institution run entirely by local teens home for the summer. Half the customers knew someone who worked there which made it feel very friendly. The food is ok, but nothing special. That said the local corn on the cob was amazing. We actually went back to Letchworth after dark and stopped back for ice cream. We're always looking for new ice cream flavors and the Fireball was excellent. read more

I visited Charcoal Corral with a couple of friends to try out their food. I was impressed by all the activities and meal options this place had to offer! On one side of the building, there is a restaurant and a variety seating areas for guests to eat at. On another side, there is an arcade and icecream parlor. To the right of this building, there is a stage where various events are held and in the back there are two large drive-in movies that you can visit during the summer! Me and my friends came to have lunch and ordered a pizza and a family chicken meal to share. The service was quick and there are plenty of areas where guests can take a seat and socialize. Our pizza was very delicious and the chicken was moist and cripsy (though it could have used a little more seasoning in my personal opinion). We also ordered a side of fries and mac and cheese and they were very good! If you come to this little town, you should defintely stop by this place! read more

Wow! Had never been to Perry, New York..... passed by and performed a U-turn. The cleanest property of any restaurant I have ever been to. Looks brand new.....built in 1977!?!? The entire property of drive-in theatre, miniature golf, sandwiches, pizza, pasta, hot dogs, etc.... a family location and is gorgeous and entire property was built in 1949. You would think 2022. If you like campy fun things in the summer, this is the place for you! They have mini golf, a gem mining set up, an arcade, and of course, pizza and ice cream. We will go here for an afternoon of fun with our son since he loves everything here- and the funky decor and theme is adorable. Their flea circus in their main dining area keeps my kid amused for a few minutes every time! It's super kitschy and fun, so if you are into it, it's a great place. If you need to be high-brow and classy, go somewhere else =D. I know I will be coming here for many trips for many years. It's always a sure fire win in our house for our son. read more

I've been to the charcoal coral so many times if you asked me a review years ago it'd be a 5 star no doubt but the last few times I've been there the owners been awfully rude to his employees and I can't get behind a business that's thinks that's okay these are young kids and he addresses them in front of customers in a very rude and unprofessional tone I don't recommend it's become less and less friendly which is the one thing as a kid I remembered and loved this place for it's just no longer as special unfortunately read more

They also have standard burgers, etc, a pizza parlor, pasta, BBQ, and a great ice cream parlor. You guys, this is such a fun place to go with a little bit of something for everyone. We make it a point to frequent during the summers, if even just for dinner (but usually we add a movie, too). It is busy here so make sure that you plan your time accordingly. For us, we like to call in our food order ahead of time so that it is ready for pickup when we get there, then we take our food over to the drive-in and eat over there. Their pizza is really good and so is their chicken finger subs with fries and extra bleu cheese, yummmm. They also have amazing banana splits in their ice cream parlor.
