Amazing deal, great food, great service and even better prices. Thank you Franks staff!!

Chicken royal- sub bun for lettuce

It's open seating, so pick a table any table. I think people go there for breakfast, but it was 1... my brain and stomach was telling me I needed to order off lunch menu. Chicken royal but make it lettuce wrap with fries please. I should've just ordered it the way it came on the menu but I wanted to be special *smh*. The lettuce wasn't really wrapped around grilled chicken and fixins so it just slid. The mushrooms were canned mushrooms and sat on top of the melted cheese. I'm going to give them another whirl and try their breakfast-- it did smell good.

This is always my go to place for a good hearty breakfast. This time I ordered carry out. The food is always cooked exactly how I like it. Eggs are scrambled hard. Chicken wings are tasty and fried to perfection. Service is always fast even though they are quite busy. The restaurant is always clean. Definitely a place I recommend others to try.

This is one of my favorite breakfast orders and my go to anytime I don't want to cook breakfast. One order is easily split between two people. Comes with 2 large catfish filets, coated with a crispy corn meal and fried perfectly. Also two eggs made any way you like and two sides. Yum! Most of the time I get double grits, but this time I tried the hash browns. It's homestyle, more like a breakfast potato. I would have liked a little more seasoning on those potatoes.

You ain't coming for experience, you're coming for halfway decent quick service and a good homestyle meal. The catfish is my staple, big and fried hard. Highly recommend! The sides are the standard flair. Get in, get your belly filled, get out type of joint!

Went here for breakfast it was a sunshine day after the gloomy. I actually passed this place up cause I thought it was at the old location. Now if you pass the family dollar that's across the street you passed it completely. Walked in and had to seat myself so I found a seat and music was enjoyable. Then comes my waitress she gives me a menu and I order my food. I got the wings and waffle with a side of eggs everything is so high now. Waited a while for my food to be done it took maybe 5-10 minutes. Ate my food waffle was tasty and eggs needed salt and pepper to my liking and could have been on the stove a little longer. Wings were crispy and fried hard the way I like it. Everything was good. Would definitely come back I remember when I was a kid I use to sit at the booths. Place is really nice! Portions are a nice size as well! Hash browns and eggs had no seasoning but the steak was seasoned really well! The pancakes were a replacement for my toast/biscuits. They were so fluffy and good! Lala was my server and she did an excellent job!! They serve breakfast and lunch! Definitely will return to try something else from their lengthy menu!

Food Cook to order, fresh. Parking Yes, they have a lot, but they are very busy. Sometimes you'll have to circle around. Inside: We arrived about 10:15. Am we sat ourselves. Waitress came over pretty quick. They have tables and booths Pricing. Fair. Some special priced items.

I think I'll have to scratch this off my list. The food is not as good as it used to be. Quality has gone down, down, down. The service is not that great either. There seems to be no structure as far as seating, at least on the weekends. This used to be the go to place but I'll start cooking breakfast at home. Bye Felicia

Had a great experience for breakfast. Enjoyed the customer service and the host was extremely nice and attentive to our needs. The food was delicious. The waffles where made with so much love. The chicken strips are seasoned great. Served in large portions definitely shareable. Come check them out fam.

As for the food....my Corn Beef Hash was described as "chunky corn beef bits combined w/crisp potatoes". It was not. As you can see it appears to be out of a can; not chunky beef and not crisp potatoes. As you can see by my pix it looks like the slab of corn beef hash mixture was thrown on the griddle and forgotten & burnt flipped over for a second then served. It was not mixed up & heated through. I was already on a time schedule & hungry so had to eat and move on.The buttermilk biscuit was suppose to be home made, but I have my doubts. It was not HOT and not very buttermilked. Finally, the cup of fruit was room temperature, not cool/cold and seemed retail. The hosted talked to the owner by phone & there was a lengthy discussion, so much so I offered to pay. You would think it would be an easy decision as to what to do. The hostess relayed that the owner/Mgr would make an effort to improve. In my mind it would be serving the item as describes or changing the item description. Not sure about future visits.

What I eventually found both surprised and delighted me, and Nate's gets a thumbs up overall. Pictures are deceiving as I thought the place would be larger but it's a tight fit for bigger groups. There are only a handful of tables but plenty of character. It's also a bit grimey, unsightly and even a tinge dodgey, which may be a deal breaker for others but is an immediate appeal to me. Two things immediately standout when it comes to the food: the portions and the prices are outstanding. The offerings are as no frills as the rest of the establishment. The other surprise was how much influence there was from Mexican cuisine. Hash browns were the goal, but chorizo and chilaquiles were the bonus. Another surprise? The hash browns weren't as crispy as I would have wanted. It's entirely plausible that I came on an off day, which happens. However everything else was on point as my chorizo skillet was absolutely dynamite, pancakes were fluffy and indulgent, breakfast tacos were outstanding, and my eggs were perfectly softly scrambled. Even the bacon and sausage patties were delicious, which is a tall order considering it's not likely made in house. Lastly, as someone who drinks cold water like it's a hobby (#1), I'm especially grateful for the massive 32 oz cup of water, which is perfect for someone who drinks like a camel. The staff is not the quickest but they are friendly. Spanish may go further with most and they're not the quickest when it comes to greeting folks or cleaning tables. The food is the star and consider paying in cash. ____________ (#1) I'm thirsty.

For my visit, it was crowded but not to where you couldn't hear your table. Dress is casual, good for friends, solo, or pit stop. Service: 5/5 Our waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. Since it was our first visit there, she gave us some background that it was a Pappa's owned restaurant and food is made from scratch. Food: 3/5 They offer mimosas and I was tempted to order, but was driving and it was 9AM so forewent that option. There are food options for every tastebud. Mark ordered the fried cheese sticks, they were one of the items that I found worthwhile to return for. I opted for the Waffle feast. It included a waffle, that I added pecans on top to, two strips of bacon, eggs your way and hash browns. To say that I needed to add salt and pepper to the eggs and hash browns because they tasted bland and flavorless was unfortunate. It also was served at room temperature, because it was made from scratch, would think it be warmer to hot. The waffle was savory and had good mix and topped with the pecans made it even better. If you're on this side of town and want a change up from the "other breakfast diners" DOT would be where I stop. Fast, friendly service. Depending the food you get, it gets the job done for some sustenance to hold you over when you're not sure when your next meal is because you'll be in Galveston for 7 hours riding a float in the Mardi Gras parade.

My cup was full before I got to a quarter glass. We did the waffle breakfast and literally everything was spectacular, the eggs, the sausage, waffle was crunchy on the surface with fluffy innards. The other part that struck me was how diverse it was. There were maybe a dozen people outside waiting to be seated of all shapes, colors, and sizes. When we were gallivanting around the greater Houston area, I was thinking cowboy boots and 40 gallon hats. Instead we got chuck Taylor's and booty shorts. I was like okay, this is my vibe. Baby Barns is a really cozy, kinda tight place. It's not a place you wanna take a party of more than 4 or 5.
