It's been a minute since I been to Sparkle's.... I called in an order for a turkey burger... Once I arrived I waited 5 minutes and my order was ready... The turkey burger was seasoned well and the sizing and thickness of the burger was good... I had the home style fries which could have been cooked a little more for my liking.... Over all I give 4 stars for the down home style turkey burger...

Parking very limited, 6 tables available. Take out when no seating is available. Mom type establishment. Very cute, friendly and talkative. In the heart of 3 Rd ward, off Dowling Street. Yeah I said it. Dowling Street. Made to order so, expect to wait a bit. I decided to go with their Burger n wings. The burger was good drippy and falling apart, just like I like it. Had to use a fork for the vegies. Homemade fries good while there for sure. wings good but better if hot eaten there. They took whole wings cut in half and counted as 2, up to 12, but actually 6.

This is a solid burger joint. I had the bacon cheeseburger and fries and they were good. The burger is big and could easily be shared between 2 people. The place isn't the cleanest, so I'd recommend getting your order to-go.

I would definitely recommend this place. This place has very fresh food. The hamburgers are very good. Every time I come I get a bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions. Y'all please be aware that if you order a double meat those patties are huge. You will have to break it down. A big juicy bacon cheeseburger or a fried pork, chopped breakfast or my two favorites. the menu is so big so hopefully I can try everything The girl Tabitha is nice every time I go.

This was one of the best burgers ever! The burger was a good size, with an excellent meat to bun ratio. It took a while for our meals to be served, but when we received them, I understood why...the meat was thick and cooked and seasoned to perfection! Four stars because the place is really small and extremely hot inside. Central air is badly needed. The burger, fries and onion rings were so tasty, these factors won't stop be from coming back again and again! Needless to say this place is now on my rotation list! Yasss!

Parking is extremely limited so you have to park on the street. I went 06.09.24 & it was hot on the inside not sure if A/C was out but trying to eat in Texas heat with no A/C is unpleasant. They charge $1 if you use a card instead of cash but they did not explain or post signage in advance. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with fries. The fries were homemade but bland like the sandwich. Someone in my party ordered the burger which was well seasoned so I guess thats the best item to get. There's also no restroom

National Burger Day calls for a burger joint review. Since I visited exactly on that day, I decided to give this legend a proper review. This place has been around for a bit. The old location was located further down Emancipation in EADO. This fresh spot is now in the Third Ward area. As of this post, they've done some interior decorating. The faux greenery gives it a nice touch. You can now take social media pics by the neon Sparkle sign. There are tables available, but the place is a bit tight. Most just order to go. Updated menu. Now more breakfast items are available along with a few new burger options and loaded fries and salad is now an option. The haul: Double cheeseburger with fries and large Kool-Ade. If the burger would have had mine salt and pepper on it, I would have sworn my grandma came back to life. Still good. Just saying. Fries are thick and seasoned, just you have to get to them fast or you will have limp potato. That Kool-Ade.....man look. Let that ice melt some in it. You will be siping nothing but colored sugar water. Trust. Overall.....you need to try it for breakfast, lunch, dinner.....whenever.

In house seating, ordering is cash or cash app only!

I didn't know what to expect, and tried this place just for something quick near me. Wow. The burgers are huge! I got the double cheeseburger ($11), and it was amazing. The wedge fries are well seasoned and a great portion! The wait time was a bit long, and only cash or Cash app can be used for payment, but the size of the burgers and the great flavor made up for that. The waiting area and indoor seating were a bit cluttered, but cute overall. I'd love to come back and get a daiquiri next time!

In short, perfect hole in the wall type of spot in third ward! great quality food at an amazing price. details below food: I had the 6 pc grilled shrimp and man was it good. Seasoned and buttery with a hint of lemon. The fries are extremely good; cut fresh from real, not frozen potatoes and seasoned perfectly. Service: Order came out in really good time, but I can see how they might be backed up on a busy day being that everything's made fresh to order (which shouldn't be an issue if you want real food). The cherry on top for this spot is the price. It's hard to find food this good taste and quality wise nowadays for under $10 but sparkle's nailed. Pull up asap, you won't regret it

as you can see the charge for every single change, we need it as noted before. There's our number as number one versus number.

this place is very unprofessional! they up charge you for everything from a to go box to getting more than one flavor on a 12 piece to getting all flats. not to mention one egg is over $2 for my salad. I was scared to even ask for an additional to go bag thinking it would be a charge for that as well ! not to mention I asked to speak the "manager/owner" she screamed from the back "what does she want?". I replied I just want to speak to you please. she didn't not come out. Not to mention we were one of her last customers for tonight. we were giving a ticket with the number "01" on it. We heard "98" called and then "02" and then "03".... please note there was an unclaimed bag sitting in the window for about 30 mins. I inquired about it when it first came out and was told it was "98". We waited until we were asked to unplug the "open" sign. Still no food!!!! I mean literally cleaners were cleaning at this point. I asked again about our order only to find out that it was our food that was sitting there with the wrong label on it. I guess I'm extremely disappointment because as a native of 3rd Ward and a black business owner, I would like to support Black own business, especially minority women however, tonight's experience definitely deterred me from wanting to continue my support. also I was excited because I thought that this was restaurant was associated with the original sparkles that's located in third ward so I was excited to support this business. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed and I will not be returning.

Went to this place today, I got the chili cheese dog basket when I got home. This mess looked and tasted the same burnt.

It's a nice place small but great place, they have amazing bacon burgers and cheeseburger. The Kool-aid is Phenomenal. I don't suggest the hotdogs (BURNT).

The thing I like about Sparkle Burger is that the patty is thick and well seasoned. Haven't had a burger this good in a long time.

Thankfully, Mark was there and initially was told a 35 minute wait but seemed intent by quicker. Ambiance: 4/5 It was breakfast time so of course it was a busy time. For my visit, it was crowded but not to where you couldn't hear your table. Dress is casual, good for friends, solo, or pit stop. Service: 5/5 Our waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. Since it was our first visit there, she gave us some background that it was a Pappa's owned restaurant and food is made from scratch. Food: 3/5 They offer mimosas and I was tempted to order, but was driving and it was 9AM so forewent that option. There are food options for every tastebud. Mark ordered the fried cheese sticks, they were one of the items that I found worthwhile to return for. I opted for the Waffle feast. It included a waffle, that I added pecans on top to, two strips of bacon, eggs your way and hash browns. To say that I needed to add salt and pepper to the eggs and hash browns because they tasted bland and flavorless was unfortunate. It also was served at room temperature, because it was made from scratch, would think it be warmer to hot. The waffle was savory and had good mix and topped with the pecans made it even better. If you're on this side of town and want a change up from the "other breakfast diners" DOT would be where I stop. Fast, friendly service. Depending the food you get, it gets the job done for some sustenance to hold you over when you're not sure when your next meal is because you'll be in Galveston for 7 hours riding a float in the Mardi Gras parade.

I'll admit that when we got there, it doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside is a different feel. We were greeted and told we could sit where we like. What I eventually found both surprised and delighted me, and Nate's gets a thumbs up overall. Pictures are deceiving as I thought the place would be larger but it's a tight fit for bigger groups. There are only a handful of tables but plenty of character. It's also a bit grimey, unsightly and even a tinge dodgey, which may be a deal breaker for others but is an immediate appeal to me. Two things immediately standout when it comes to the food: the portions and the prices are outstanding. The offerings are as no frills as the rest of the establishment. The other surprise was how much influence there was from Mexican cuisine. Hash browns were the goal, but chorizo and chilaquiles were the bonus. Another surprise? The hash browns weren't as crispy as I would have wanted. It's entirely plausible that I came on an off day, which happens. However everything else was on point as my chorizo skillet was absolutely dynamite, pancakes were fluffy and indulgent, breakfast tacos were outstanding, and my eggs were perfectly softly scrambled. Even the bacon and sausage patties were delicious, which is a tall order considering it's not likely made in house. Lastly, as someone who drinks cold water like it's a hobby (#1), I'm especially grateful for the massive 32 oz cup of water, which is perfect for someone who drinks like a camel. The staff is not the quickest but they are friendly. Spanish may go further with most and they're not the quickest when it comes to greeting folks or cleaning tables. The food is the star and consider paying in cash. ____________ (#1) I'm thirsty.

I wasn't there to judge that competition and have had better, but sincerely appreciated the moistness of the bread pudding.
