With pattyful, fried curly, and thickly milky, M&M Hamburger encapsulates the traditional, stripped-down burger experience. Amid little seating room, the concoction is charming in its old-school diner style. The service was blazingly swift, but payment by cash only felt archaic. Great place for a tasty dinner when on a tight budget. Bring quarters for some jukebox fun.

Great burgers amd no frills. Highly recommend for when in the area. Tried and true spot that fits the bill for casual dining.

I asked where to get a great hamburger and the company I was training told me about M&M! This is a true hamburger joint and I can't believe how good the food and service is at M&M. They are very polite to everyone and the food was prepared quickly and served hot. The price is very affordable, food prep is clean and efficient. I've already been twice and plan to return when I'm in the area. Plenty of places to sit but know you're going for the food not the fancy decor!

Cheeseburger was delicious. Well seasoned patty, not too thick. Ratio of meat to bun was what I usually prefer. Nothing phenomenal about the bun but it didn't take away from now tasty the burger was. Also had the onions rings which were lightly breaded. Both made fresh to order. Less than $10 for both and filling. Service was quick. I ordered to go but there is a small dining area inside. This place is more about the quality of food than the ambiance which is perfectly fine with me.

We've been going here since before I was born. Homemade burgers are the way to go here. Their cheeseburgers, fried fish, everything on their menu is highly recommended. It has a homey feel when you walk in. The service given by the owners is great, they treat us like family.

Soooo, this is obvi a spot in the hood (iykyk) so my expectations of this food being spectacular was an exponential reach. It was very sub par and unseasoned. I should've taken pics of the inside because chileeee, I doubt the health department goes in there. They did look like they were closed from the outside. I had to call to make sure they were actually open lmao. I only gave it 3 stars because I feel like that family is doing the best they can. The lady was really nice. She brought my food outside to my car and even brought my drink back out when she forgot it.

Located at the corner of Ave C and Wayside, I decided to stop in for lunch one day with my cousin after we took care of some family matters at Forest Park Cemetery - Lawndale. I'll admit, I came here simply based upon the Yelp reviews. As far as I know, this was the first time I've eaten here. I say that because my family as long roots in the Harrisburg area. Since this place has been open since 1975, I would not doubt if I've eaten here before. Quick side story but my mom used to take me to a little corner grocery store on Canal Street & 78th St. that was ran by an Asian couple named Bill and Esther Quan (I think they were Chinese). Anyway, I say that to say that this restaurant has been operated by a Korean family since 1975. I was in elementary school in the early 70's so I may have eaten here before but forgive me if I can't recall. What I can recall is eating here this time. I ordered the #2 cheeseburger with tater tots. The #2 is a double meat Angus burger. Everything is cooked to order. I will say that I thought the burger was very good. You can tell it is cooked on a grill that is well-seasoned and has cooked 1000's of burgers. I also like the fact that they put ALL of the basics on their burgers without you having to ask. In my opinion, all burgers should be made with both mayo & mustard, pickles, lettuce, ketchup, and onions. They do this. If you don't like something, tell them not to put it on the burger. They will also dress them up more if that is your thing. You can get avocado, mushrooms, bacon, etc. Build it anyway you like it. Personally, if you like old-school burgers, I think this place has really good ones. I also ordered the tater tots. They were fresh and good but next time I'll order the onion rings. Unfortunately, I missed some reviews that highly recommended them until after I had ordered. I'll keep that in mind for the next time I'm here. Drinks are served out of cans or bottles. They are located in a sliding door refrigerator in the dining area. The location itself if very old. The building looks like if could be spruced up some. The interior is nothing fancy. Seating is limited. The restroom in not located in the general public area. If you need to, they'll let you use the one they do have which is in the storeroom behind the counter. To the family that has been running this business since 1975, please allow me to say thank you. I enjoyed speaking with you. Bottom line - Very good burgers. If you like old-school burgers, these are some of the best. I liked them a lot. Next time, I'll try the onion rings.

I came by last weekend to eat lunch. It's not in my hood but found it from Yelp and wanted to try it. It's in an old building but has its own dedicated parking lot. On the outside it looks like low rent and when you walk in you still see low rent. Hole in the wall is a fair description. There is a serving counter with the grill behind it and 4 tables with about 15 chairs on the other side along with a couple of soft drink coolers. As basic as it is, that doesn't mean the food is bad as we all know so I ordered a mushroom burger with onion rings and a soft drink drink. With tax it was about $9.60 which isn't bad at all but almost all of their combos are $2 to $3 less. The reason mine was more was because the combos come with fries and my onion rings made the order ala carte therefore making it more expensive. The food was ready in about 10 minutes (see pic) neatly wrapped. I started with the onion rings and wow! Perfect! Light tasting with a light to moderate batter crust they were some of the best I have ever had. I don't eat onion rings often but these are now what I think of when I want them (5). The burger was fairly standard with a 1/4 lb. beef patty on a nice sized bun with the shrooms and lettuce, tomato and grilled onions. I will give the burger a 3 which means a ok. I would eat it again but I know of many far better. After I ordered, I noticed a sign that said for an additional $1.99 I could have substituted a 7 oz. angus patty instead. I am going to rate the meal an overall 3.5 but round down for Yelp purposes. I wouldn't drive from far away to eat here but if in the immediate area would be happy to stop by again. It's not large inside and with limited seating not good for groups. Value wise, it's an inexpensive place to eat and servings sizes are generous. Would also be a good take out option. Great onion rings!!!!

I had opted for a beef burger with a side of chili cheese tater tots to share. The burger is quite large and filled generously with whatever add-ins you check off so it was very filling for me. I went with two 2oz patties, but considering the size, I'd opt for a single 2 oz patty if I go back. For my burger I also added scallion aioli which didn't have a strong green onion flavor but was still nice and added creaminess to the burger overall. The tater tots were super crispy, and the chili cheese topping was nice. I had gone shortly after they opened and it wasn't super busy but it started to quickly fill up around 11:30-12. The basic burger is $12, and anything you want to add or replace is extra. Now that's including the basic sauce, which I thought would be an additional homemade sauce if I needed. Again, I am learning. I ordered grilled chicken, but at the counter, a very nice person, Eric, told me they were out of grilled chicken and had fried chicken available. I guess so, since I spend some time. I don't want to wait any longer. I also ordered homemade lemonade, which came with lots of ice. I requested that some ice be removed. I also added chard jalapenos, which were tasteless and slightly burned, so they lost their flavor. The food pick-up area was separate, and the guy who gave you a food tray could have been friendlier and said thank you. Oh well, my burger was a piece of chicken with lettuce and onion. It was ok but very dry inside. So make sure you order sauce or anything for your burger, and pay for it. When I got there, the dining hall was empty. I like this place, but plz if you're going there for the first time, read the menu carefully and place your order. Service could be friendlier, and the dining hall was clean.

Clutch City Grill sits next to Burger Chan (the most recent title holder of best burger for my son) but this Sunday, they were not open so we tried the one we didn't try last time--CCG. And let me just say that this place tucked away inside a collective indoor food concession aka The Conservatory Galleria, has every right to boldly don the clutch city burger title. Inside this perfectly grilled almost Hawaiian role type hint of sweet homemade bun is a masterclass of burger perfection, made right in front of you and to your liking based on your selections from the order tap screens. While, waiting, I looked at everything I didn't order as it was being served and I'm almost certain that anything you order at CCG is delicious. Presentation is superb because others were sitting with large selections in front of them that caused me a bit of buyers remorse--I couldn't decide. The vibe is chill enough to talk to the grill master while my son was figuring out his massive burger order--he randomly had a hash brown added to a patty melt. And ordered something to take home or in case one order wasn't enough for the teen appetite. But the food is massive. I cannot stress that enough. Portions of everything there are beyond generous from what we saw and this is the kind of place where there's delivery guys picking up, people working on their laptops and the average joe grabbing takeout after work as well as families having dinner but not crowded. We sat and reflected on a great shopping day in a chill environment and reminisced on the old days of Galleria area last minute back to school night before/we should do this more type of memories in the making. The take something to go plus my own leftover (cutting the burger in half is an open from the order touch screen) and it passed the ultimate test of being really good cold the next day. This place begs the question--where is everybody? I can't be the only one who knows about it. But also was inviting enough to silently confirm that I think we've found our place. One that even has a cool bathroom with a mirror that says "you look amazing." Exactly how you're going to feel about the food that looks even better than it does in its promo photos
