I have been coming to this shop for years for any bike issues big or small. Vito is very knowledgeable and honest and above all, friendly. If he has the time to fix your issue while you're there, he'll let you know and promptly work on it. Other than that keeps you updated on progress and/or issues and the shop's work is always the best. Had a random flat tire earlier today and messaged through yelp for quote and received a response within 5-10 min with estimate and choice of sameday times to bring in my bike. I bought a folding bicycle from them and this is a place with an EXCELLENT customer service! I ordered it yesterday and it was already in the shop today. Vito took it out from the box and he assembled the whole thing for me! He did not let me go until he was sure that my bicycle was ready and safe to roll. The shop also offers lifetime tune up and maintenance for bicycles that were bought from them (except for wear and tear like tires, etcetera). Stranded and screwed on Memorial Day weekend, FRANK'S BICYCLES SAVED THE DAY. I was with my son when I got a flat on Del Amo in the San Gabriel riverbed. I Yelped the nearest bike shop and found Franks. We walked 1.3 miles to get to their store and they were crazy busy. We were tired and sweaty. Vito assessed the situation and said he would do what he could do. Before I knew it, my tire was fixed and we were on our way. VITO'S ACTIONS ARE WHY WE MUST SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESS. He didn't have to help us but he did. There were bigger transactions at play with so many people at their shop looking to buy new bikes but he took the time for our $20 repair. So commendable. I was in need of a new tube and possibly a new chain, so I sent out a message through Yelp and Vito was the first to respond. He quoted me with a fair price and a good turn around time. I decided to take my bike in after checking out the shop's reviews and Vito more than lived up to expectations. After checking out my bike he said that I really didn't need a new chain and that he would take care of my tube right away. I was in and out within 5 minutes. Since the Covid crisis hit, big wheel BMX bikes have been impossible to find. While calling around, Frank's Bicycle's had a 26" and 29" in stock, he quoted me the prices and I zipped right over. Walking in, I was a bit shocked that the shop is not much bigger than a shipping container, but hey, they had the bikes I wanted so no big deal. Spent time looking over the bikes and when I was ready to purchase, the price of both bikes increased $100 each. When I questioned the prices, Vito replied "No, you misheard me". I work in finance and deal with numbers all day long and I am being told I misheard??? Strange that I misheard $100 less on the price quote of both bikes!!! The 29" BMX was marked up $330 from retail and the 26" BMX was marked up $250 from retail. I hate shops that don't price their bikes. Leads me to believe the prices float depending on the looks of the wealth of the person walking in the door. What also upset me is Vito kept pushing me to pay cash because he could offer a Cash Discounted price. Hello State Board of Equitation..... I already opened a case for investigation. Drove several blocks down the street to Bellflower Bicycles and ordered the bikes there at retail price. I will have to to wait a few weeks, but at least I am not paying $580 over retail for the two bikes. Should have just went there in the first place. If you are in the area, I highly suggest Bellflower Bicycles or Big Wheel Bicycles. Hell, I even recommend Dick's Sporting Goods before stepping foot in this place. Truly find it odd there are so many 5 star reviews. Makes me wonder if it's friends and family writing bogus reviews. Update. The Kink 26" Drifter that you quoted me $699 is at Carson Schwinn for $459. And they don't charge a $100 assembly fee... it's $459 plus tax assembled. And the so called lifetime warranty that is offered by the manufacturer is FREE. I called corporate for both Sunday and Kink and asked about your $100 assembly fee and both confirmed it's not true. As a seller/dealer you are to list the price as you wish and just call it what it is PRICE GOUGING. True honest dealers sell at MSRP with assembly included. I've never seen a bike shop hand a customer a box and say "here you go and if you want that assembled it's $100" I was at Carson Schwann getting new grips and the owners and I had a chuckle about your business PRACTICES. And FYI ... they just got in 4 Kink Drifters and they are selling at MSRP. The nerve of them not to take advantage of their customers during this trying time. read more

It is evident from the moment you pull up to the shop why everyone gives this place five stars. I say pull up and not walk in because the owner actually walked outside and helped me unload my bikes and looked them over to see how he could help me before even walking into the store. I expected to drop off my bikes, return in about a week and spend about a bit over $100 based on past experience at other places given the amount of work my two bikes needed. My bikes were fixed in less than an hour for half of what I thought! And it doesn't stop there. He even helped me check my bike rack and load my bikes up. I can not praise this place enough. My husband and I decided to buy bikes, but had no idea what we wanted or needed. I found Vito (Franks' son) on Yelp and like everyone else has said, Vito's customer service is second to none. He explained, in terms we understand, what types of bikes are used for what.We even got to test drive the bikes in the parking lot. The store has a pretty good selection of bikes. Vito has a ipad to show you all bike options if he doesn't have what you're looking for in stock. We weren't planning on buying bikes that day, I was thinking about just getting some bikes off Craigslist, but the prices are excellent and each bike comes with a lifetime warranty and free maintenance. Vito will adjust the bike to fit you perfectly and you even get a free gift! Vito advised us to register our bikes - I had no idea we had to do that or that the police will pull over bikers to check for registration.Vito will give you a receipt so that you can register your bike with the City. If it ever gets lost or stolen, you'll have better chances of getting it back if it's registered. I'm so glad we went to Frank's. We bought awesome bikes, received great advice and customer service.
