I needed to get air on my bike on a Sunday at noon! I called a few places , a couple didn't answer and the rest were closed. Fortunately Carlos picked up the phone at his value repair shop, they are open till 2pm on Sunday! I headed over and he filled up my tires at no charge plus answered the 1000 questions I had. So I am just going to get right to it. Carlos is the man. I have a GT Aggressor mountain bike that I neglected and left out on my deck for 18 months. I called numerous bike shops all of whom told me to either "just get a new bike" or they could fix it virtually for the price of a new bike. I called Colors blindly among other bike shops off of a Yelp list. Carlos answered and asked what model bike I had (strangely nobody else had asked this very basic question). His first response was "nice bike" then he began strategizing how we could get it operable. Every other shop had told me "oh, you'll have to replace the back wheel". Carlos asked if the wheel itself was damaged. When I told him "no, I don't think so" he said well then we can probably just change out the cassette or sprockets and save you some money. When Carlos couldn't find the replacement cassette he rebuilt the one on my bike, clearing it of the rust and making sure the bearings where in place and the whole thing oiled and like new. So for under $140.00 (after new tires, tune and some replacement parts along with the rebuild) I'm back out on the road everyday on my bike and it rides like new. And when I needed a hex wrench to pop off my front tire to get my bike in my car and asked Carlos if I could buy one from them, he said I've got a ton of them you can just have one. And unlike so many businesses now, nobody asked me to provide them with a review. I'm writing purely because I am that happy with the service and I will certainly light a business up if they don't provide good service. I couldn't recommend these folks more. The shop may not look fancy but Carlos is a true craftsman and loves what he does and it shows. Forget about how new and swank other places may look if you want expertise and someone who truly cares and takes pride in what he does, I will always take my bike back to Carlos and Colors. read more

Very nice local shop! I just needed to figure it out if my scooter wheel was flat and just needed air or if i actually needed a new tire. It cost I believe 2$ to fill up tires but the man was very nice and filled my 1 tire up for free. Told me if i had any problems come back and he would figure out the problem! Great place , business professional . Only thing is they open at 10 but don't expect for them to open all the time on the dot they may open a lil late. Overall great place happy i found it:) UPDATE : so my tire actually was broken or had a small hole in it. Went back two days later. Gave me a whole new tire on my e scooter and i believe i paid 12-15$ i rounded it up tho to 20$ for the great customer service:) read more

Came in just to look as I was bicycle pricing earlier today. Carlos whom was there was so very friendly and answered all of my questions. I had my eye set on a red candy apple colored fixie/fixed gear bike on all black. I let him know that I was going to look around and possibly come back tomorrow....... I went to the bank and was back an hour later! I was able to pick my choice of color for the petals and was happy that this fixie already had breaks (as I didn't know they usually don't come with). He even gave route to the LA River bike trail which was just less than 5 minutes from the shop. And yes I took my new bike for a spin and I have to say that I am a very satisfied customer. I hope this review helps, I know it's not easy being a small business owner. Summer is coming so I suggest checking this shop out. Very reasonable prices for new and used, and layaway is available. This guy knows his bicycles and he can fix them. I went in there as a walk-in and he has fixed my bikes to satisfaction, several times. He is not costly and offers a machine that you can pay with and you get an electronic receipt. This is a good way to spend funds for family recreation and get some exercise while you're at it. I brought my road bike in for some installation and repairs. I brought it because my front and rear disc brakes were rubbing and making noise. Problem wasn't solved. And I still paid. I went in to fix my flat tube, fast service, friendly guy. I live 0.8 mile away, very convenient. My bike is fixed in less than 10 minutes.

This a small family business, fast service. The guy is friendly. I only went there to replace an inner tube on my jogging stroller, but $4 for the tube and another $3 for the service isn't a bad for pricing in my opinion. I'd recommend him. read more
