This is an old school and small little bike shop. The owner was a postal worker for 30 years, retired and bought this little shop. He's a very pleasant guy who seems to be a perfectionist about his work. The bike was "new", but had a few dings. He spent a great deal of time perfecting the brakes, the freedom of tire movement, adjusting the crankshaft, and straightening the handlebars. I asked about a display of cell phone holders when he was done. He sold me one of the display models for 25% off and installed it. I took the bike home and rode it for 20 minutes, toward my doctor's goal of 30 minutes three times a week. Before I drop real money on a bike, I want to make sure I'm going to ride it. Today was the first step. This place is super close to my home and i'm glad I got a bike here. read more

I was thrilled I found this small shop in Lakewood. The owner fixed so many little things on my bike - and showed me how to use a couple things I wasn't sure about - he was so thorough there is no comparison between his tuneup and other places I've taken my bike - he is worth traveling some extra miles if you need your bike serviced. This is a great shop! I was desperately needing my son's flat tire to be repaired because he uses his bike for riding to school and home every day. I found this spot and I feel so lucky! The service was super quick and Ted is amazing! He went above and beyond fixing a few other things that my son's bike needed at no cost. The bike feels brand new. What a sweet man. I was gifted a beach cruiser for my daughter to use on campus. It was in need of nee inner tubes and grips. I have driven by this location more than a dozen tones so I decided to give them a try. When you arrive there is a bell to ring before entry. Employees here are mask-less, so if that is something that concerns you, this might not be the location for you. Two men were servicing a couple of women and I told one of them what I needed. He said to bring the bike in so they can look at it. He confirmed what was needed and said my wait time would be 15 minutes. He went out back to service the bike, the older gentleman was working on another bike on the back of the store. They are a bit pricey and did not have much of a selection for handlebar grips. Plus side the older gentleman was bothered that the seat on the bike appeared loose and fixed it. The younger gentleman helped me load the bike in my car and gave me a registration card for the bike in case it gets stolen on campus. read more

Ted took great care of me with a last minute blowout on my back rear electric bike tire. He doesn't work on electric bikes, but was able to help me with my blowout with ease. Ted is a very kind, knowledgeable, and helpful man. He is the bike shop owner and he said he's owned it for about three years. I brought my bike in because I had problems with the gears and he went straight to observing it and diagnosing the problem! He was courteous and asked if I wanted him to start working on it, and I said sure! As he was working on it, he was explaining what was going on and even did some minor other maintenance like tighten the brakes and lube the chain He finished the bike within 30 minutes and gave me a great price. Ted has great customer service- quick and with plenty of integrity and great prices. He's not trying to rip you off or upsell you, just fix your bike. Fixed up my Moms old tricycle (coulda tried to replace all the tires bc they looked like they were in bad shape it had set outside for months, but instead he just filled them, but he did have to replace my tube bc it had a leak on my road bike. He is very accommodating and helpful even though we came almost the time that he's about to close his shop. He was able to fix our bikes. He even teaches us how to take care and maintain our bikes. I had been driving by this place for weeks. I would see people lined up so I decided to stop because I really wanted a bike. I stopped at 3:30p today excited. I was told that the person who sells bikes isn't in shop. This guy stated he only fixes bikes. He said to come back in 30 minutes but the place closes at 7p. I returned at 4:45p and saw 2 people in store. I waited in the same guy came out and said that the person selling the bike and come back and left again. I ask him did you tell the guy I was coming back he shrugged his shoulders and said he's busy he'll be back he's getting stuff. I said I guess you guys don't want my business the guy laughed and said thanks for coming and walked away. So I asked guy "so you can't help me" and he said no. So I guess he answered my question they don't want my business. As I was driving off I looked and saw same guy helping another customer. Smh read more

Maybe it was a bad day? Called and received a price. Arrived and was quoted a higher price. Told to go around back and they would install new tires as I wait. There were two techs. One had a bike flipped upside down on a piece of cardboard and removed both wheels to replace the tires. The other tech repaired a bike for a customer then was toying with a bike he built. They both ignored me and the owner left the shop. After waiting 45 minutes and watching one tech struggle with reinstalling the rear wheel on a electric bike upside down half on a piece of cardboard, I made the wise decision to leave. I made a few calls and had my tires installed by a professional for half the price quoted by this shop. I used to do business with this bike shop in the past when it was owned by the old asian man that passed away. Times have changed! read more

When I was young, my bicycle was stolen from me, I swore off bikes for 20 years. I wanted to get back into it, and had already visited a few bike shops and couldn't find a bike I actually liked. I ran across this place and found a certain Vintage Raleigh road bike from the late 70s/early 80s for around $300 and immediately fell in love with it. it's not even an expensive bike. I took it into the mountains on long rides, cargo rides, commuting rides, all kinda of places, before I knew it I'm cycling 200-300 miles a week. i eventually outgrew my Vintage bike and needed a more high end bike which is lighter and more modern, but none of it might have happened at all if it weren't for this shop, thanks So much for the awesome bike and experiences I've had while riding it. I still use the bike for commuting still, it's really great. read more

Good personality but poor service/products. Ted helped me buy a road bike at his shop. He was very helpful and willing to accommodate me with my purchase but Ever since I bought the bike a few months back I have had nothing but issues with the bike. It was defective from the start. I asked for store credit so I could get another but that was not accepted. So Ted offered to fix the bike. So I thought that was a reasonable compromise. I have taken my bike to him 3-4 times and every time he is unable to fix the bike. I understand his no refund policy but when the bike is defective from the start it can be very frustrating. I will have to sell this bike and buy a new one. I would not recommend to buy a bike from this shop. read more

The wheel on my double stroller kept falling off. I took it in and Matt looked at it. He determined that the part I needed had to be ordered from the manufacturer. Once I got the piece I needed, I took the stroller in and they replaced the part. The stroller was ready the same day and they were reasonably priced. I'd definitely recommend this shop. read more

I've been to the shop twice in last two months. Because of covid19 there is a sign, DO NOT ENTER. Call out for attendant. Both times I've visited, after calling out an attendant said yes but didn't come to door. Both times I asked can I come in. Answer was NO, both times. Attendant finally comes to door and the man there before me asked for a bike mirror. Attendant says we don't have any. Customer, yesterday you said you did. Attendant, no we don't have any. This was horrible service. I humbly believe that the person who assisted me was racist. He didn't want to help me and was very argumentative. He talked down to me as if I were stupid and was not a good listener when I talked about my bicycle pump to him. I refuse to patronize a person who believes he can treat his customer this way, especially a person of color. And to be clear who he was, he was a short white male with the company shirt one and he had his unbuttoned. I'm seeing all these good reviews, but I had the worst bike store experience I've ever had. They wouldn't let anyone in the store, the manager wouldn't listen to my questions, instead he walked off on me and poured himself a soda, after being the only one in the store and waiting 10 minutes for help, and being treated poorly we walked out. You just lost the 700$ sale I was about to give you so now I'm at another bike store. Now I have a new bike and I didn't have to give you money. Win win read more
