Over the years (and 3 bikes) I've had my bikes serviced by this wonderful, family-owned bikes shop. I was willing to pay the highest price for a tune up since I hadn't consistently ridden my bike over the past couple of years. The Youngman who assisted me talked me out of doing that and advised that I allow them to look at the bike and give a quote. after looking over the bike, he came back and advised the lowest tune up as the bike was in good condition just needed some basics services done. Keep iln mind, this is 50 dollars less than what I was going to pay (there are 3 levels of tune ups and I paid the cheapest). It was completed later that afternoon and it rides like a dream. If you live near 4th and cherry, this should be your go to for any and all bike services. read more

Avoid this bike shop at all costs! They lied to me about the service I would get on a bike that I bought. You're supposed to get two service repairs on a bike. I was given the first, and turned away because I was a month past the two year mark. ( I specifically asked if there was a time limit) I've bought three bikes at this place, and they turned me away. Very bad business. They don't care about locals, just money. I'll never return here again. read more

Grateful for a bike shop close by with some stuff in stock. All the gyms are closed so snagged a bike to stay active for the summer and during the corona pandemic. Waited a bit to get seen but they were busy. Helpful staff that seemed to genuinely enjoy the job and made the experience memorable. Best bike shop bar none. I took my bike to the 4th St location for new brakes. I have a vintage bike and at first they thought it was going to cost more than I wanted to spend to fix (rim replacement). They managed to work something out that was in my budget. It took a couple of days, so they apologized profusely and even offered a lender bike! None of that was necessary, but it speaks to the high service level and professionalism of this shop. Prices are more than reasonable as well. I can't say enough good things about A & D and I'm grateful they're my neighborhood bike shop. 10 STARS!! read more

I've taken my bike here a few times for general maintenance. The service has always been great, the staff is super friendly, and it's close to home. My recent visit really impressed me, to the point where I had to rave about them on Yelp. The bearings on my bike busted midway to work. Thankfully there was a bike shop close by. Figured I could drop it off, get to work, and pick it up after my shift. Unfortunately they didn't have the parts, and it would take 2 weeks for them to order the parts and repair my bike. I walked my bike back and took it straight here before they closed for the night. The staff said, no problem and that my bike would be ready by the next day!! I picked up my bike today. They fixed the bearing, cleaned it up, put some air in my tires, and it rides great!! And the best part, it was all really affordable. I love this place! Thank you! read more

Bike your way AWAY from this palace. These guys are only good at selling over priced bikes and parts. Its a push you out of the store and down the street bike shop. Get your money and dont forget to sell you a bike lock. Pass on this place. NOT kool. I will walk my bike home before I let this place steal my money again. Booo  On a Saturday at 11 am I brought in my Vintage road bike for brakes. You know the little rubber parts. This bike need some tlc just bought it off CL.(60s Skiway Old Rusty Road bike)  I was told that they could do the job by 3pm. I was first told that the cost would be $20.00 'I said ok. When he wrote up the receipt it was $20.00 per tire. (BAIT N SWITCH) Thats 40 bucks for the little rubber parts. Front and Back.  He then explained that the job included tuning the spokes. I said ok but did not want to spend that much or ever have had to.. I called him back an hour later and said since they are crazy busy. Id be happy to wait till Monday. They have a packed crew in the repair shop. NOT a Covid 6ft safety practice going on up in this place. In fact the guy who wrote up my receipt did not use a mask or cover his mouth when he sneezed.  Oh back to my bike on Monday. I paid my balance. I asked the guy about brake cables. Different guy said $8.00 bucks each. I said kool can you install it now? He said sure. Then the price went up another $30.00 bucks for labor. This is for one very short cable and two normal size cables. So what he should have communicated was $13.00 per cable including labor. RT? I passed. So I did a test drive on my newly worked on bike to see how the job went. Does the bike break? Good enough. After about 20 blocks the back breaks started sticking. Locking and making a loud nose. I called the "Bike you way" the guy said to bring it back. I asked if they tried to test the bike after working on it? I told him I was not happy going back to the place. The convo went back n forth. The story goes that MY bike is so old It needs more work for the bike to break properly..... BS If true? He should have said something before working on my bike. LIKE no guarantee ? Something. That is just a bunch of CRAP. I have had many vintage bikes. Thats not how the story should have played out. I called to ask how much money a tune-up would cost, and the person on the phone told me $59. When I got there, they told me it would cost $69. I had them do the service anyway, and they told me they were busy so I'd need to leave the bike overnight, and it would be ready the following day at 4:30. I arrived the following day 4:30 to pick it up as instructed, but they were not done with it yet. They asked me if I could leave it another night. I asked how long it would take to finish and they said 20 minutes, so I waited. When they finally finished, they left the tires under-inflated, they moved my seat down, and the gears don't change properly when I shift. I have to shift twice to achieve one gear change. They completed the work, just not very well or professionally. I get that times are weird, but it's a bike tune-up. I chose to take my bike here because of the price they told me on the phone. Normally I go to The Bicycle Stand on Broadway, and they've always done great work. I will return to them. read more

I had to replace my bike seat just over a month ago, the service was great, but the bike seat was not correctly attached. This is super disappointing unfortunately and I would not recommend this shop to anyone, as when I came in with proof of purchase the associates turned me away without any sort of actual discount except for a small $15 off any seat they had for sale. They offered me an extremely used seat that I would have had to replace anyways so this was honestly just a disappointing experience. People seem nice, but not very much flexibility on a product that does not work. Would not recommend. read more

These guys are awesome! After trying out many different bike shops, this place blew all of them out of the water. If you have to take your bike in, this is the place to go. They are fast, efficient, honest, and cheap! I came in, only 45 minutes until closing, they fixed my break, my girlfriends tire, and wrapped our bars for us in record time! I went out for a bike ride and my tire tube popped and was stuck walking for miles. I looked up the nearest bike store and I found this spot. I went in and needed a tire change. They looked busy but the store associate could tell I needed immediate help and took the time to serve me and helped with my problem right away and got me back out and riding in less than 30min. Wow! These two guys are awesome! It literally took them 24 hours and 1/4 of the cost to achieve the same results, as it took me 2 different "high end" bike shops and 2 very expensive bike fits! My bike looks and works like it's brand new! And I ride 545 for AIDS Lifecycle this June, so this make my life a lot easier to go that distance. read more

Took my Huffy Beach Cruiser in for a flat front tire, and for something wrong with the part where the back wheel connects to the bike frame. Was expecting to spend a lot of money due to the kind of noise it was making. Was only charged $35 for both , and the bike was ready the next day. Customer service was also great. Dirty little shop staffed by unfriendly and unprofessional workers. They don't keep their word about when a bike can be picked up and do not honor their posted hours of operation. They closed early three days in a row and did not return my phone calls.They gave my bike back to me without informing me that they had damaged my tire. They did not have the parts for a bike they sell and refused to order the parts for me. Instead of being cheerful about having many customers, they acted like they were bummed out to have to do more work and that were doing me a favor by working in my bike. They seem to have lots of business, probably because there is not another bike shop in the area but I'm definitely going to be taking my bikes elsewhere from now on. There are better shops in Long Beach that have more personable staff, are willing to order parts and don't act like you are bothering them. I recommend you try those other shops. read more

My wife and I decided to bike ride with my brother in law down to long Beach on the LA River path. Half way there my seat loosened up and fell back. Riding was becoming a living hell. Thankfully while going for food we bumped into bike your way shop. It was a busy day in the shop, thankfully I got the tools I needed for an extremely inexpensive price. I was excited to support this local bike shop. Unfortunately I do not recommend this business. I feel taken advantage of. Their bicycles are way overpriced and the customer service is terrible!!! If you want to get ripped off and overcharged then this is the place for you. They sell you a bike for $385 and it's not even worth $75. I'm so mad I wasted my money supporting these people. Recently moved to Long Beach, I happened to come across this shop. I was greeted by Yordan with the hair bun. Despite being busy straightening a wheel and tuning up bikes he helped me diagnose what was wrong with my bike. I also asked for directions for a good place to eat.
