I have a new Lectric 2.0. I was riding it and within the first 40 miles... flat!! They were able to take me in on a Saturday, and Leonor made a few recommendations to me. I went with her recommendations. Josh certainly seems like the technical lead, and Leonor seems like the front product customer service handler. When I returned, she was honest and said they were actually not able to do what she had recommended because they had the wrong part. This may be seen as a bad thing by some. The reality is they could have charged me for that upgrade and I would've never known about it. So what I liked about it was that she was honest about it and did not charge me for the inside liner she recommended; because of the honesty I will continue to go back here... even though there are two closer Lectric service centers to my house. read more

I brought my two Aventons Pace 350 here and a vintage Bianchi for general tune-ups and was very satisfied with the work completed and customer services received. They were responsive with both texts and calls, and walked me through what was wrong with the bikes. How I knew they went beyond above and beyond their work was how cleaner my bikes were afterwards, meaning they put in the hours for some detailing. Josh is a stand up guy. Took my bike in with a late notice and we tried to get something custom to work...it was a failed attempt but that was still worth it for me to try. I don't trust a lot of people, but I have no issues trusting my baby in the hands of Josh. Came out with a tune up and the bike had been riding amazing and shifting flawlessly. I will start by saying we live very close to this ship and have used them many times. I have always felt the owner was a bit gruff, but the prices are fair and the work is always done well. Today I walked in with a technical question regarding a brake assembly. I was doing the work myself but needed a quick question answered. I walked in and greeted the owner as I was holding the brake assembly. I asked him if he could give me some quick advice. I could tell by the look on his face he wasn't interested in helping. He looked at me, with a bit of a smirk, and said.... "I'm busy". I get it.... I wasn't bringing him any new business (unless I was unable to compete the work myself....in that case, I would have brought the bike to him) but his attitude and unwillingness to answer a simple question is not the way to build a small business! So, I drove to Jacks at Bellflower and Spring. Asked a technician the question. Literally took 15 seconds. Got the answer I needed and left. I always like supporting small business, but the owner of this ship is a jerk. I will no longer take my bikes here. read more

What a terrific bike shop. I brought my E-BIKE in to get the battery and port switched out on Saturday afternoon. They originally said that they could not get to it until Wednesday, and that it would cost $120. 2 hours later they texted me to let me know that not only was it finished, but they would only charge me $70. Shady business practice. Buyer Beware! I brought my son's tire in to get repaired. I asked how much and the lady quoted me $8. I asked how long, she said 15 min. So I agreed, and we waited. Few minutes later the tire comes back and it's time to pay. "That'll be $16." "Excuse me? You quoted me $8 dollars earlier?" "8 dollars for the TUBE. And $8 dollars for labor." Okay why didn't they just state $16 from the beginning? They totally just pulled a bait and switch and I'm pretty sure that's against the law. I literally paid double over what I was quoted. For that reason I am not returning because I have to wonder what other shady business practices are they doing. read more

These guys flat out get it. I've taken 3 different bikes to them and I'm stoked every time I come in to pick em up. They fitted me to my Specialized road bike which made a huge difference in comfort and ride-ability. I also wanted to swap the bars on my Electra Clunker to make it a true clunker and they nailed it. Had all parts in stock and they cleaned the bike to boot! Lastly I bought an older 21 speed GT and had them convert that to a Klunker for my son. It turned out phenomenal!! Before and after pics attached of both Klunkers and a few of my Specialized. Again, I could not recommend Urban enough! Top notch work and customer service all around. read more

This Mom and Pops shop has become my go-to LBS for all my road bike needs. Josh can take my bike in the morning for minor servicing and usually have it fixed that same day. Josh is VERY knowledgable when it comes to road bikes (all he's worked on for me is my road bike). The shop is well-kept and well-stocked and they keep pretty reliable hours. I was recommended by a good friend and this place is great! Josh and Vincent are as authentic as you can get, these guys know what they're doing! I recently got my bike serviced here since I purchased the bike second hand and wanted an expert to check if their were any issues. Josh recommended me to upgrade my shifter since it was an older style shifter, what a great upgrade. I also purchased a set of 35c tires to replaced the current 25c that came with the bike for more ride comfort. 3 days later it was ready for pick up but the experience and work these guys put out could last a lifetime. The bike rides solid, smooth and fast, shifting is superb and falls right into gear. Took me a few times to get used to since it was a new upgrade. Overall this first experience won't be my last.
