Had some of my art custom framed here. Should have tested them out with just one piece, but made the assumption a frame shop would know how to frame properly. I was really disappointed and totally regret coming to them and paying for their service. The first major problem was that one of my pieces was smeared (charcoal); fortunately I was able to fix it in the shop. I had four pieces framed and decided to bring three back due to each one being slightly crooked in the matt, lint behind the glass in obvious places, the frame corners not matching up well, glue coming through the corners, and the backs of the frame corners being chipped. All of these things were not obvious, and I did not notice them initially until I brought them home and looked closely. They needed to be high quality and able to sell in a gallery. Dennis, at the shop, was very helpful and apologized for the employee's poor frame job. He fixed most everything, but the backs of the frame corners are still chipped, just covered up a little bit with paint or something and I did have to have one of the frames opened again to remove more lint. For a job that cost around $700, I had much higher expectations as to attention to detail and care for the artwork. Though they have apparently instigated a "quality control" sort of seal of approval on all frame jobs now, and though Dennis was very accomodating in working to make me happy, I will not be able to go back. My art is worth too much to me to risk that again. read more

A 5-star shout out to Frame Central in Capitol Hill. Most especially to the Manager, Dennis. I approached him earlier this year about framing a photography project I was working on with my daughter's 2nd grade class to raise money at our annual auction. I explained to him the importance of our fundraising endeavors...our entire family of parents, caregivers, students, and faculty works hard all year to build a scholarship fund that allows us to create and sustain a rich, diverse bi-lingual/multicultural community. It is no less vital to all of us at Seattle Amistad School to connect with and engage in our greater community, which is why Frame Central was my first (and last) stop. Little did I know that, not only would Dennis get and dig our mission, but that he would take the time to consult with me on the formatting of the project, consider the best materials to achieve the best possible result, and donate the entire product...materials, labor, and time..."it's for the kids", he said. He got the job done ahead of deadline and delivered an absolutely beautiful product. Dennis was generous, professional, creative, and a genuine pleasure to work with. As long as I live in Seattle, Frame Central will always be my first choice for all framing needs. I can't wait to bring them my first personal project. Thank you Dennis and the entire team at Frame Central! read more

This wasn't my first time working with Dennis at Frame Central, nor was it the first time I was totally blown away with what we came up with together and what he executed on. Absolutely incredible work and with the nicest people one could hope to do it with. They honestly deserve a gold medal in framing, which seems like an absolutely ridiculous thing to say for me, given that I'm not a connoisseur of framing or even of art, but that's how excited I am about what's come out of working with them (and they really do a great job of making the process super inclusive). I never would see myself putting this much value on the frames that go around my art and posters, but Frame Central has absolutely transformed what I've given them to work with, and hence has transformed my whole living space. So grateful I wandered into their shop. read more

I am an account manager for WFF Facility Services the contract janitorial service at Seattle University. On about 4 occasions over the past couple of years, I have brought various large framed pictures or paintings in for repair ranging from minor damage to badly damaged. Such accidental breakage is important to our company to get restored to as good or better condition for our client university. In all occasions the guys there at Frame Central have done a truly amazing job and I go away truly impressed that they really care about what they do. The respective staff members have always been extremely happy when their picture or painting has been returned, too. Thanks guys! I know I'll be back. read more

I have had several pieces framed here! This includes items that are new and those that have needed fixing. I know every time I come to this shop that I am in expert hands no matter who is helping me. They have fixed a frame that broke that needed new velvet pulled into an oval shape. (I bought the velvet, they took care of the rest). They fixed a terrible job another shop had done on a needle point my mom gave me where it was originally stretched incorrectly. And they have framed all of my other wall art that I wouldn't trust with anyone else. Plus, with covid, they are super clear with expectations and guidelines for distancing and sanitation in the shop. Super professional. Highly recommend. read more

Frame Central did a wonderful job framing a portrait of a pup that passed away in our family. The framer / stylist (not sure the right term) that helped put together the frame and backing choice was fantastic. With a little collaborative back and forth we arrived at the perfect combination. Finally she was super kind to provide a discount and make it a rush order to try and get it finished before a trip out of state I needed to take it on - it didn't end up getting done in time, and I was warned it would be tight, but I appreciated the effort. Absolutely thrilled with how the finished product turned out and how well they packed it up. read more

My visit to your business was one of the best experiences I've had in a long time. I am a 74 year old black female on a fixed income and the young woman who waited on me was the best. I was there on 8/12/15 and was helped by CHLOE GUNTHER. CHLOE helped me decide what I needed and could afford. I didn't spend a lot of money that day but I sent my wife and best friend Beth to your business and she did spend over $500.00. I plan to tell any one interested in framing about how wonderful your company treated me and my wife of 38 years. I will be back. read more

I have now done three custom frames for treasured art (our Ketubah, an art print, and my husband's medical license) and three standard framings. Both times I've worked with Dennis Turner to create overall pieces that have are the most beautiful pieces in our home. Dennis helped to so find mate and frames that work with the pieces, our budget, and aesthetic. It was actually a really fun process to collaborate with him. He did a great job of letting me lead and giving opinions when I asked. Will be going back! read more

I came in with a few things. Couple of Vintage panoramic photographs and a vintage poster. All very sentimental to me. Abby was great. I had a clear vision of what I wanted to have done. She gave great feedback and pointed me in the right direction. Went with her suggestions regarding the frames and most importantly she kept me on budget. They even modified the hanging mechanism for easy hanging. As these photos are quite long. Just discovered this shop. Looking forward to bringing more things in. read more

Dennis and his team are amazing. And have not only solid design, but commercial sense to know where to put $$ that it will matter and where not to. They have done some beautiful things for me, and I would highly recommend them. When I had an issue with a four piece set where one of the photos was just not cropped right, Dennis redid the framing for me to get it right. And didn't make me feel like I was being high maintenance for wanting it perfect! I will use these guys again. read more

We finally got around to framing some art we purchased in SE Asia 15 years ago. All of the items were oddly sized and we decided we were going to need expert help to get them properly framed. Dennis spent quite a bit of time with us working through the options for each item. We ended up getting custom frames for some of the items, and standard frames with a glass upgrade for the rest. I highly recommend Frame Central for their expertise and customer service. read more

The people and quality of work here is phenomenal. Abby helped us and was terrific about entertaining our zany ideas for framing and helping us find the exact pairing we were searching for, for some unique Halloween antique posters of ours. The end products turned out SO well, that they're staying up all year (not just Halloween) and we're already looking at other things in our home we can get framed soon. Will 110% be back to get more pieces framed. read more

Went to the frame store not knowing what I wanted to do with my pictures. Dennis at Frame Central presented me with several options and gave very helpful insight and opinions on the frames and matting that I chose. He was very attentive from the minute I walked in the door to the minute I walked out the door. Will definitely use them in the fututre for all my framing needs. read more

Had an amazing experience working with Frame Central. They were extremely helpful and supportive for getting us the right design. Worked with us for over an hour and brought great design suggestions after asking questions to understand our desired aesthetic. Will be returning to put more of our art in a frame that is on the same level as the art itself. Highly recommend. read more

I love getting artwork and prints framed here - excellent customer service. Abby helped me pick standard frames for my pieces and priced out the available upgrades (matting, UV-blocking glass, etc.) for me to choose from for my nicer pieces. She was very friendly and approachable and I look forward to bringing back more pieces in the future :) read more

I had a water color that had been stored in less than perfect conditions for about 25 years. I moved and finally decided to spend the money to have it framed professionally. I'm so glad I went to Frame Central. They gave great advice on the type of frame and matting for the piece and now it's everything I had hoped for! read more
