A friend took me here and treated me to a mani/pedi. The best kind! Cindy took care of me, and she was great. She was very friendly and accommodating. She was also very considerate to ask if the water, towels, or rocks for the massage were a good temperature. And she also has surprisingly strong hands, which made the massages that much better. As a man, especially being 6'5" with a size 15 shoe, it can be difficult to find a place like this that makes you feel welcome and comfortable. They did a great job at that here. In other places ive been to, you could tell some of the girls were making comments and gawking at my huge feet, which doesn't bother me too much, but the staff at Foxy Nails allowed me to relax and fully enjoy the experience. Cindy even showed me a couple videos on her Facebook of her home country and of her family. Engaging me on a personal level like that shows that she's a genuinely nice person. I'd absolutely recommend Foxy Nails, especially if you're a guy trying to take care od himself in a welcoming environment. read more

Came here with 4 guys of my crew and got our feet cleaned up as recommended by our ladies. Appointment was made and they took us right on time not even a second to wait. Very professional and courteous, did not force any type of extra sales or anything like that. Chose the deluxe off the menu without the polish of course. Haha. I had Tina and she did not disappoint. She did a great job along with the other staff they did a great job as well on the others. Took their time didn't feel rushed at all more like a spa with relaxing music and beautiful art on the walls. Quite relaxing over all experience. read more

I made an appointment to get my nails filled. I have had a hard time finding someone in Reno that does good work. I was seen by Tiana. I told her I was looking for a place that did a good job and that my nails wouldn't break or color pill. Tiana did a good job, my only complaint was she was answering calls the whole appointment. I decided I could deal with that because my nails lasted. So. I made another appointment with her. When I arrived I said I had an appointment with Tiana and this man put me with another lady. The shop was extremely busy so I don't think they cared about my appointment. By the end of the day my nails began to chip. I've had two nails flat out break. The technician didn't even know what chrome nails are. She had to ask another technician. I am very disappointed. I won't be going back. If you make an appointment with a certain person you should get that appointment with them. read more

I have been consistently going to Foxy nails for about 19 months now, every 3 weeks. They work really hard making sure their customers leave happy. My nails never chip and are complimented often. Tianna always gets my requests spot on and can pretty much do any design you ask for. The customer service is fantastic and you can tell by how much the business is growing. They are such lovely owners it's great to see the success. There is a busy but relaxed vibe in the salon. Zoey did a fantastic pedicure today listened to exactly what I wanted. So great! As they have grown they have kept pace while still offering quality work and customer service. I do book in advance always. My mother in law is out of State but always looks forward to visiting them when she comes to town. She really enjoys their pedicures said she has had some of the best pedicures ever with their staff. read more

And she's a great artist, not quite sure what design you want she'll give you plenty of ideas. The service is always so nice, always Greeted at the door and always asked if you would like any beverages. Eric is another good Nail tech as well. I've been here plenty of times and they've always done an amazing job! Definitely recommend coming here if your look for good quality nails and friendly workers! read more

The staff were so welcoming and very friendly the whole time, which is the only reason for the 3 stars. i came in for a full set and the lady doing my nails was very rough and cut my cuticles at least 3 times (which she then would rinse with acetone, ouch!). i asked for a coffin shape, meaning the top of the nail is thinner than the bottom. she didn't understand what i wanted, because the nails are literally just huge rectangles. she also charged me 60 dollars for them when they absolutely are not worth that much (they're just plain white and not long at all). the manager (i'm assuming) ran out to my car after i left and said he could fix my nails, which was a nice gesture. but then, he said "but you have to leave and come back in half an hour". i thought it was so odd telling me to leave to get my nails fixed 30 minutes later. i decided just to leave and fix the shape myself, because i feel like they would try to charge me for fixing them. other than my experience, the salon was very clean and welcoming. but if you're looking to save your money and get what you want, this is not the place for you. read more

So I'm in Reno visiting and offered to take daughter in law to get nails done. Her pedicure, me a manicure. Yelp advised this was a good place. So we called and were told come right in (or wait til 415pm). She has two small children that would make it tough to wait so we went right in. Eric greeted us immediately and took her right back which was the point! Me I sat waiting for about five minutes. Eric and (please forgive me if I get her name wrong) Tenea I believe ( the one who did my manicure)!! We're both fantastic! My daughter in law got the deluxe pedicure and said she feels like heaven. Thank you all for a very pleasant visit! I am certain that I will be back whenever I get back here and equally as certain she will return without me!!! read more

I have been in and out of having a manicure for awhile. I get frustrated with the craftsmanship, appearance and sturdiness. I've been going to Foxy for their deluxe pedicures for years and thought that I should try a manicure again. Don is perfect! The form is on point. I don't like the chunkiness of gel nails and get acrylic with a gel polish. They actually look natural and last perfectly. The deluxe pedicure rivals Peppermill, IMO. And significantly less money, while supporting a local business and family. Tina does a fantastic job at cleaning my feet, and her massages are divine. The paint job is immaculate. She remembers everything about me personally and always asks about my family and life. She even remembers my fav color! They are extremely hard working and genuinely kind. read more

Hands down best mani and pedi I've had in Reno. I will drive the extra time/distance to go here instead of my local nail salon which now by comparison was average at best(legacy nails). I did the gel x nails with John (I will never do acrylic or dip ever again- these feel and look like real nails) he was so courteous and professional and my nails turned out great. My pedicure turned out great! I was shocked to see the other recent reviews because my feet came out beautiful and even, nails not too short etc. Thank you! I will be back! read more

Love this little gem I found on yelp. Clean, friendly, easy to get to, lots of parking. Looks a little sketchy out front but don't let it fool you. Very thorough and attentive to detail and I like that when getting my nails done. John did my nails and part owner Eric worked on my husband. Very great job, both of them. They understand English and speak it very well. We will come here again. We live in California so can't be as regular as I'd like but, we'll be back! read more

I have been going to foxy for over 15 years. I was so bummed when Don and Tina sold the place. They always made sure to make sure everyone one was, was genuinely interested in you and your life, and always made sure you were happy! Now since Eric and John the new owners have taken over it is absolutely a horrible place. The work done for nails is absolutely horrific. The prices are ridiculous! The way they treat people is the worst. They took over a business that everyone loved and they have completely ruined it My last draw was the treatment of my daughter. There is absolutely no reason to yell at a young women to the point where she bursts into tears where all patrons are looking at her and when I questioned as to why she was treated like that they had no care and no explanation. My suggestion would be if you want the nails you always had that were beautifully done in an environment that everyone is kind, welcoming and happy LEAVE Foxy Immediately. Go visit Tracy, her husband, and her staff at Regal Nails inside Walmart down South. Her work, pricing and the place is beautiful and welcoming and they are thankful for your business!!! read more

This business is extremely clean! I read several reviews regarding cleanliness and I have to disagree. My friend and I called day of and made an appt, and we were sat in a pedicure immediately upon arrival! Sooo many colors to choose from! I thought the service was worth the money & I didn't feel pressured to upgrade to a more expensive service as I do at some other places in Reno. Staff was very friendly! They seemed pretty busy for a Wednesday. Few reasons for the 4 stars: * I had a hurt foot & asked for my nail tech to just go easy on that foot. Oh man, she was rough. I think she forgot - lol! *We did have to ask for our own drinks. They have water & wine. Once we asked, they accommodated and it was great, but usually that's one of the first things asked aside from what color nail polish. *They have sooo many colors, but a color I wanted and a color my friend wanted they didn't have anymore. Literally not a huge deal, but if you're indecisive like my friend make sure you have a 2nd choice lined up! Overall, it was pretty good. The owner was so cute & told us to come back and tell all our friends. PS- he also said he would have a whole bottle of wine ready for my friend and I! Haha read more

This is my go to place for a manicure or pedicure. They have a vast assortment of colors for nail polish and gel. I love that I can usually always get an appointment the day I call. The staff is friendly. If you want to chitchat while you're having your nails done, they chat. If you just want to zone out and relax in silence and get pampered, you can do that too. I love getting pedicures. If I could be there weekly for a pedicure I would. I am 6'1" and the message chairs don't accommodate my height at all. The message rollers are also a little weak, even if the controls are on high intensity. The staff does a great job with nails and color on my toes. And my favorite part is the foot and leg message. Sometimes when they are busy you feel like you're being rushed to get you out for the next person's appointment. But other days it's much more enjoyable. The only other thing I can think to mention, is the employees' microwave is next to the pedicure seats. Sometimes the aroma of the food is so strong and fills up the pedicure area. It's sometimes pretty nauseating. This has bothered me more times here than I can count. read more

Ugh...... I am beyond sad that this place has turned into a one star for me. After many many years of 5+ star service and people, I literally left my last appointment in tears. Appointment started 35 minutes late, it was not with the person I asked for when I called in advance, what would typically have been about a 1 hr and 45 minute appointment took almost 3 hours...... when I got home and slid my shoe of of my newly pedicured foot (gel)..... this happened (see photo). Seriously? When I called to let them know what happened, they curtly told me to come back in an hour. Upon arriving, they were clearly embarrassed and called for the tech who botched the job in the first place, Jim. He immediately got defensive in front of other customers and said "you told me regular paint!" ‍ this after hours of him filing the previous gel off, ensuring that I wanted gel multiple times, and using the UV lights? He made excuses the whole time he repaired the mess, only apologizing as I got up to leave. I was so uncomfortable!!! I miss Don and Tina..... and I won't be going back here or sending my friends and family. Super sad. read more

Great customer service, had an issue and it was fixed. Will be back and refer family and friends. Thank you Foxy Nails!

I have been coming here for 3 1/2 years, my nail pics are in the gallery I absolutely love Don and Tina, but they just moved back to California recently I was uneasy about coming back but Don said I should, so I did. John is back as a co owner, I never had anything done by him before when he worked there, but Don said to go with him. John gave me an amazing pedicure and was very friendly so I decided to try and get a fill with him. I went to my appointment Sat. John did a really good job, but I noticed my nails were very thin, don't get me wrong I prefer a thin nail but there has to be some kind of re-enforcement so they don't snap off. I left after paying $55 for an acrylic fill an hour later I had a broken thumb nail. The next day as I got something out of the dryer another nail broke. Monday I planned to go and get them fixed when I realized my other thumb nail was about to break! I was really irradiated at this point. I go in and show him I have 2 1/2 nails broken and he says oh they are lifting, like I needed a full set. I probably do, but that's something that should've been noticed on Saturday. He takes the 3 nails off and replaces them and they feel more sturdy. Here is why I will not return after 3 1/2 years. I was charged $10 to fix my nails that were done 48 hours ago. I have never paid for a broken nail the entire time I have been going to Foxy nails, but I would have no problem paying if it were a week or two later, but to be charged in total $65 for a fill!?! I let them know that I didn't think I should be charged but I'll pay. I will not return, I don't recommend going here, it is not the same as it was when Don and Tina were there! read more

I found this gem through this app. I needed HELP on my nails. I was seen at my 11 am appointment by Eric. He assured me he was going to make my nails look pretty again. He didn't lie. Its been 8 months and several so-so nail salons since we have moved to the area. To say I am beyond happy is qn understatement. At the last minute I asked Eric if he could squeeze in two pedicures and those were amazing. My husband is super picky about who does his feet and he was so happy with his pedicure. We have our next appointment set and are looking forward to going back for more great service. read more
