This is our family's go to place for pedicures and manicures. They are always patient with the girls and the service is always consistent. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We have been going here for 10 plus years and will continue. I highly recommend! read more

The pictures in their nail color book are different than in person. I tried one of their pinks, and it came out coral, despite not looking that way in their book. The tech was nice about it and changed it to a different color, but it still wasn't what I was looking for. read more

My daughter and I are visiting Reno from the Bay Area, California and decided we needing a little pampering. I called and got an appointment for a mani/pedi an hour later for both of us. As soon as we arrived, We were greeted and sat quickly. The two gentlemen who helped us were very kind and accommodating. My daughter is very fidgety, she's 4, and they were both talking with her and trying to keep her still. The tech who did my nails was friendly and was telling me about when his daughter was 4. I felt that was very sweet. I had a pedicure done and a polish change on my acrylics while my daughter had polish put on her hands and toes. They did a great job on both of us. Whenever I return to Reno, I know where I'll be going and also recommending to friends and family. Thank you Foxy Nails! read more

I've been going to Foxy Nails for a couple months now and they are so welcoming and friendly to everyone who walks in through those doors. I've been getting Gel-X fills and pedicures here. I had the opportunity to get a fill by Nick. He took his time and shaped it the way I wanted it to be. It was my first time getting cat eye effect and I was amazed by the results. Definitely recommend! Thank you everyone for your hard work and dedication! read more

I am from Las Vegas, my daughter just moved here. I looked up the reviews and thought this was a good choice. I have never felt so rushed and had such terrible service and have been getting acrylic nails and pedicures for 30 years! My daughter's manicure they didn't even clean under the nails, the pedicure with get polish, the so called deluxe pedicure, they didn't even file heels. Sorry, but very disappointing!!!! I always tip very well, not this time, tips are earned. read more

Unfortunately, not the best experience that I've had nail tech was nice, but my nails are all different lengths and different sizes. She didn't even compare nails to make sure that they were the same length when she was cutting them down... First photo is what I asked for second photo is what I got definitely a bummer paying $70 but of course we never like to mention flaws when we're getting our nails done so I just bit the bullet on this one .. I would not be coming back. read more

Honestly I wasn't going to do a bad rating for this shop because we came in an hour and a half before closing, but the longer I look at these nails, the more I can't believe that I paid $75 (& tip) for the nails. We called before we came in. There was no prep work, I'm talking no filing, cuticle pushing/removal, nail cutting. They literally asked my girlfriend if she wanted cuticle oil at the end and then seemed upset when she said yes. I'm the type of person who will tip regardless. This shop staff was RUDE on top of charging $75 for extremely bad nails. The vibe was awful and super uncomfortable. My tech literally walked away after asking me a question while I was answering it among other things. I honestly wanted to leave the shop as soon as possible because they were unbearable to interact with, so I didn't show them how bad they are but they all have eyes and could see how bad they are. One person did the acrylic and another did the paint. A third person looked over my nails before I left. It's like they did bad on purpose. This morning I am filing my nails in the multiple spots that the nail polish glooped up and it starts to leak all over the place due to the nails not being cured. I have to repaint/shape the nails today. I should have just done them myself. read more

Eric and John did a wonderful job with my and my daughters nails. They squeezed us in at a time where everyone in Reno decided to go get their nails done. My nails were done with precision and care. My gel nails are not thick and he had the patience for me to pick up 10 Different colors because I wanted "Jelly Bean" nails. My daughter loved hers too, but unfortunately they already flaked off, but they were regular polish and she's a kid, so no expectations there. We will be back!! read more

I went for a basic gel manicure and it was $35. The technician took me right away and overall I think she did a good job. I thought it was odd that they charged me $5 to remove my old gel polish. I've never had a place do that before, removing polish has just always been part of the process. read more

What a great experience! I got a spa pedicure and gel manicure after almost a year of neglecting myself. Hannah took excellent care and made me feel very comfortable. Ever since the new owners took over, it has not been the same. I cannot even make an appointment properly which is super frustrating. I called in for my husband and his friends to get pedis before their friend's bachelor party and the guy who answered the phone failed to understand me to make the appointment. I tried telling him it is for guys as usually the place needs to know this and he was failing to understand. This is not the first time either, last time the same guy did not note my appointment in their books. read more

(This is an edited review. Read bottom for the update.) I came here for a last minute appointment since my nail technician had an emergency today. I'm glad they were able to accommodate me on short notice. I asked for a soak off and hard gel overlays ($60.00 total). However, I was disappointed in the final product (see photos). I had Hannah as a nail technician, and she was nice. But I would have appreciated better and more meticulous prep work. The prep was rushed. She didn't clean my cuticles. I'm unsure if I should have asked for this, but all my previous nail technicians have always cleaned my cuticles before doing any work. Additionally, she did not file all the nails during the prep but rather after the hard gel was placed on the nails. I asked for almond, but as you can see from the pictures, there are a couple that ARE almond, but the rest are either oval or almost-almond. You can clearly see the difference and inconsistency of the shape with the picture of my two pinkies. I did ask her to fix the shape when I did not like them or did not think they were almond, which she did, but you can only ask so much. Also, the polish is sloppy and uneven along the cuticle line; this wouldn't be an issue if good prep work was done, and the job wasn't rushed. Hannah was also on her phone texting during my service. I don't have an issue with folks being on the phone because it may have been an emergency (and I try my best to understand these scenarios), but do communicate this with your customer. Hannah didn't communicate anything with me when answering texts, and her texting added to the neglect of my nails being done properly. I gave three stars because personally, this is an average job. I'm particular about my nails. This may be a "great job" for some, but this isn't worth the $60.00 I was charged plus tip. Last time I got my nails done was in Mexico City, and the women there were detailed-oriented, took their time, and were meticulous about every step. There, I got removal of mani and pedi, an acrylic overlay with nail art, pedicure spa and gel pedi, pedicure spa and cleaning for my fiancé, and was charged around $70.00 USD for ALL OF THAT. Again, in comparison to those services in Mexico City and how much I paid for a manicure at Foxy Nails, I was highly disappointed in paying $60.00 plus tip. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back. I hope they do improve. UPDATE from 3/5 to 5/5 After writing this review, the owner, Eric, sent me a message to rectify the issue. He apologized for the inconvenience caused and offered to personally fix my nails the same day or another time. I went back the same day an hour before closing, and the place was busy. I waited for a few minutes since Eric was with another customer, and once he finished, he came to me, looked at my nails, apologized, and said he would fix it. Eric did an EXCELLENT JOB. Although he worked fast, he maintained being meticulous, detail-oriented, and precise about every step from prep to finish. He filed my nails to the almond shape I wanted, cleaned up the cuticles, and painted my nails with clean lines (SEE NEW PHOTOS because it's like night and day). I also appreciated the way he spoke to customers in a kind manner. I could tell some folks were his regulars. There was a woman who was waiting for him patiently. I'm sure she had an appointment with him at the time I came, but I was an unexpected customer at that time due to the current situation. She seemed like a regular, and Eric had great rapport with her. Overall, Eric provided top-tier customer service. I appreciated how fast he responded and addressed my review and problem with the previous set of nails. After this, I will come back to Foxy Nails and request Eric. Thank you again! Truly appreciate your work and service. read more

Lily did my lovely and much needed gel pedicure. Helped pick perfect fall color for my skin tone.

I was excited to try this nail shop after reading the reviews. Well it was fake news. I wish I had my tech name but she was terrible. 1.5 hours for a removal of powder, upgraded pedicure.. 1min stone massage, uneven toe nails and she even forgot to cure my left hand. She added cuticle oil and was done. No hand massage for $115? I put lotion myself and proceeded to pay. When I took out my credit card, I noticed my left hand nails were matte.. I told her and she proceeded to tell me I didn't cure them by turning on the UV light... umm hello?! She rubbed cuticle oil. A disaster. I was upset but had to run to pick up my daughter. I still tipped her a bit... mad at myself for even doing that. Here are some pics of how she left my hands. read more

Philip is so nice and he gave me the best foot massage I've ever had during a pedicure by far. I had such a stellar experience. He let me just chill with my eyes closed and the massage chair running but was just as excited to talk to me when I woke up. Very professional and extremely relaxing. The signature pedicure is incredible btw. I probably got a solid 20 minutes of time that my feet and legs were being massaged and this included scrub, lotion, and hot stones.
