Fox's Beverly Pub serves one of The Best thin crust pizza's on the Southside. I love just cheese and sauage, ask for it to be a little well done so the edges come carmelized. Among folks that grew up in Beverly there's lot's of conjecture on better or best thin crust pizza out here, but in reality no one does a better pizza than Fox's. Most that disagree are lost sheep that have grown tired of really great pizza and have scurried off to other dumps outside Beverly, but they are dead wrong and if they were on death row awaiting execution they would utter their last confession and secretly ask for Fox's pizza before they were escorted to the lethal injection veiwing booth. Don't be fooled by people here who complain of service or other items on the menu. The only reason to go to Fox's is thin crust pizza. The sausage is tinged with a hint of fennel and the sauce is thin and not sweet or salty. Great pizza will always prevail over cracker crust imitations. Fox's serves great pizza. Amen read more

This is by far my favorite Chicago thin crust pie. Sometimes you get one that is a bit sub-par, buts thats few and far between. Whole menu is killer though. If u want South Side thin crust, Fox's is a must try! read more

On 23 December 15 I was and still am really P.O.'d that after 30 plus yrs of going here a kid at the counter gets order wrong does not catch it and then thinks it's funny!!! Been coming here since the 80's.The mgr (Older lady) was the one who caught it no one ever offered to make it right just a "if you still want it you can wait 30 MORE mins and we can make you a new one." They gave someone my pizza and was going to give me their's!!! Now they have two pissed off customers. Hell I drive from downtown to get pizza here. Ordered pizza and a salad for delivery. They sent the wrong salad and the pizza was cold! When we called about the salad not being what we ordered, they offered to send the correct one. Not being too far away and having been assured it would arrive in 30 minutes, I decided to wait for the corrected order. Over an hour later, my salad finally arrived. I was extremely disappointed to find the salad missing key ingredients (no avacado as specified in menu) and with little more than lettuce. I've been getting pizza here for about 10 years but over the past year they are starting to have serious issues. The last 3 pizza orders have been wrong and when you call them they don't offer to comp anything. She didn't even offer to correct the order. This place is greasy ass Irish food. I do give them credit for making very good soup, and some tasty sandwiches, other than that I wouldn't go here for much else. I tried this place three times now for their Julienne salad. The first two times I was really impressed with the presentation and freshness of their salad. This past weekend I chose to call in for a salad and the chef must have been counting pennies. My salad was made from the core from a head of lettuce. Not one green leaf. Yea, so, how does this place have less than a perfect rating. Got the traditional prime rib sandwich and my dad got the two pork chip dinner. The pork chops are amazing in every way and the sandwich was great! They had a lovely beef vegetable soup that was quite hearty. Delicious thin crust pizza! A little crunch and crispness to the crust which i love and their sauce is flavorful with just a hint of sweet. They don't skimp on the toppings and its slightly greasy which makes it so addictive, but not drippy greasy which is gross. Definitely becoming one of my top favorites for pizza in Chicago. This isn't my favorite pizza ever--but when my usual pizza partner--my mom-- gets to pick the pie, Fox's is her favorite. As for me....I give it a resounding "I wouldn't kick it out of bed for eating crackers, but...." The sauce, IMHO, needs a little more OOMPH--maybe a little more acidity?--and the sausage needs decidedly less fennel. That's just my taste; others, obviously, are free to disagree. was at FOX in Beverly on 6/1/2019 and have frequented this establishment for many years approx 30 years. I had pizza as I always do and My husband had the Broasted Chicken. I ate about 3 to 4 pieces of the pizza and virtually the whole pizza was almost left. In the past they have always placed my pizza on a board and placed in white paper bag however this day the boy who was a bus boy pulled my pizza apart and stuffed it in a Styrofoam. When he brought it back to the table i asked him why he did that and I told him I did not want that pizza that had been stuffed in a container by him. He dropped a knife on the floor and placed it back on my table. He got the waitress who I also expressed my dissatisfaction and she got the manager. I expressed my dismay and she was very nasty and told us that we should not come back there any more. I told he I was not going to pay for that piazza after they had done that and she asked if I wanted pieced back on a cardboard and I told he no I did not want anyone handling my food like that and that it was all smashed together. Again, she told me we did need to come there any more and I told her I refused to pay for the pizza I would pay for the broasted chicken and we went back and forth for a second and I said to her that the customer is always right and she told me that is not the case. So she picked up the container on my table and slammed it in the garbage however she didn't realize because she was so angry with us that she had thrown away my husbands meal the broasted chicken. When my husband told her she had thrown his food in the garbage she reached in the garbage as if she wanted to place it back in the container and give it to him. At that point I refused to pay for anything and left. This is the first time I have every had a problem at this restaurant and since I was asked not to return there I will not I am not sure if it was because my husband is African American or not but the other waitresses have always placed my pizza on a board and wrapped up that way that way I was so surprised to see it torn apart and stiffed in a container. I called to speak to the owner on 6/2/2019 but he was not available but I did express my concerns and dissatisfaction to the lady on the phone. I want to say in this day in time we should treat each other with respect. This was totally disrespectful and to tell us not to come back there was typical of a racist remark . Fox's Pizza in Beverly -- Ordered 2 pizza's a large & a medium. For Saturday night family fun. I went the Beverly location. & ordered for a delivery paid in full $60 plus tip (salad too) the was delivered before I made it home and my husband tipped the delivery guy again he didn't say anything " robbery"! The PIZZA WAS WRONG & NOT GOOD AT ALL. They totally forgot an ingredient on the large pizza it was suppose to be sausage, bell pepper & onion clearly it says this on the receipt BUT IT WAS MISSING THE BELL PEPPER COMPLETELY! NOT TO MEANTION IT DID NOT TASTE AS GOOD AS ALL MY PREVIOUS ORDERS THE LAST 13 YEARS! We ate a few pieces & it's been in the fridge ever since. I called that day 11/28/15. And was insultingly offered $2.30! For the missing ingredient, but clearly the whole pizza was totally messed up for me and my quiet weekend at home. The Sauce recipe must've changed because the pizza just didn't taste right. I wasted a lot of money on some nasty incorrectly prepared pizza TRUST IT WONT HAPPEN AGAIN EVER!!! I grew up on the south side. I can honestly say it's been my favorite thin-crust pizza in the US. I can't say world because the pizza in Italy is just to die for. I am so very disappointed with the new Chef at the Beverly. I have been eating the cream of chicken and broccoli and the cream of chicken soup for over 15yrs. It has been a source of comfort for myself and the staff at the AMG Beverly GI department most Tuesdays and Thursdays. Now we are being told that the new cook does not wish to make it. My wife and I had dinner at Fox's last night. I have been a fan of this place since 1972. Haven't been back in a while, though. Our waitress, Marge, was terrific as my wife has diet restrictions and Marge negotiated the menu for her like a pro. Wife had the short rib dinner (Monday special) and I had 10" sausage pizza. This is really a classic pizza place, which is dependable and has a wonderful pizza and delicious menu beyond that. My favorite is the cheesy roast beef sammy on garlic bread. Some of the worst pizza I've ever had. The night I went, the crust was baked hard as a rock. Sauce and toppings were SUPER greasy and not very flavorful. The pizza was barely edible. Service was okay. Decent beer selection. If I ever go there again, it will probably just be for the beer. Overall, it was a thoroughly mediocre experience. This is my "guilty pleasure" restaurant, pizza, fried chicken, mushrooms, salads, etc. all well done in a dark cozy family environment. The decor screams south side Irish. It's a very small dark candlelit room filled with tiny booths that can only accommodate 4 diners. There is a small 8 person bar that you can rarely get a seat at because the neighbor regulars are holding court. The pizza is some of the best in the city and I always make a point to order a larger size so that I have leftovers. The remaining menu are all outstanding and I have yet to be disappointed. The service is consistently friendly, prompt and accommodating. This is a great place to take a date, grab pizza with friends, or bring the kids after little league. read more

Pizza at Fox's is delicious but some of the wait staff is in need of training. We bought some friends there, told them what a nice restaurant it was and was embarrassed of the service that we received. My husband and I visited this restaurant as we have for the past 30 years. They evidently hired a new waitress named Shannon. She was the worst! She ruined our entire evening by not getting our orders correct and by being very unprofessional. Britney(Manager) was just as terrible, as she condoned Shannon's behavior. While I attempted to escalate my concern to her, she immediately interrupted and took sides with the employee. Certainly, she failed at being an advocate and responding to my concerns. Great Pizza but horrible customer service!!! I came here with family and friends in celebration of my birthday on a day during the week, this restaurant was not the least bit crowded. We were seated separately as the way the restaurant is set up. We're all ordering and I inform my waitress that we are celebrating my birthday and I have the birthday coupons as well. The waitress ignores and doesn't acknowledge my special day. Pizza comes and is good. Manager comes out and doesn't acknowledge my birthday nor says Thank you for celebrating your special day with us. Nothing! Wow! I will never set foot in this restaurant or any of its chains.
