My husband & I were in need of a car. To take him on his appointments in Santa Rosa. We're also seeking to rent a home here or in Sonoma Co(where I'm originally from). We live near some shopping & restaurants, but, there is so much we want to do & explore which requires good, reliable transportation. When setting up some additional accounts at Westamerica, I asked Al (one of the reps there), if there was a dealership he recommended. He felt that Ken Fowler provided a good experience & in our estimation, he was correct. Before that we were looking on Craigslist & had posted a request on the community board for the county. On Sept 3, 2015 I went to their site. We found a car we liked & made an inquiry. My first contact was with Keith Aisner. We communicated by email & text. He answered my questions & offered us different choices. The original car we liked (2009 Aura) had already been sold. We were seeking a mid size sedan, as I'm the one currently driving. Since my husband isn't able to, due to health issues. We were able to come in last Thurs, the 10th. We were set on the 2006 Camry, but, were open to checking out others. Keith told me that Katie Mora would be the one assisting me. When we came in, we did meet with Keith briefly. He told us that he had conveyed our needs to Katie & she had selected the 2006 Town Car. I had initially passed on it, because, it's a larger car than I was interested in. Even so (because I had left some wiggle room for other possibilities), we took it for a test drive. Glad we did. It's very comfortable, is a smooth ride & handles well. It also had just one previous owner who, obviously, kept up the maintenance. It wasn't just new to us. It seemed new overall. After we got back to the dealership, we took care of the paperwork. We were paying in full. It's still a bit of a process. Which is why I'm thankful she helped make it pleasant. We next saw, Melissa Walters, who handles the financial end of things. A lot to sign, but, she conveyed the necessary information & made that part less tedious. All three of them were friendly, helpful, attentive, efficient, professional, knowledgeable. When we're ready to get a brand new car, we will be going back to Ken Fowler. We will recommend them to any friends & family who are in the market for a car. Even if they don't live in the county. I hope that anyone who goes to this dealership has as enjoyable an experience as we did. read more

I just bought a new Subaru and have to agree with many of the 5 star reviews here on Yelp. Tom and Joanna Reed offer a completely different experience than other car sales people I have dealt with. I didn't think I was going to buy a car that day but I did thanks to the treatment I received from these 2 wonderful sales people. I hate haggling and have had bad experiences with other sales people. Joanna and Tom are just real people who want to make sure you are getting the car you really want and they want to give you the best price. Tom gave me a great test drive and really sold me on qualities of the car I was considering. He really likes the car he is selling and it shows. Joanna was very kind and patient as I let go of my old car of 10 years ( I loved this car and had to work up to letting it go!) She also saved me from making the mist of buying a car with a light interior which would not have worked for me in my lifestyle ( ask her about myth busters experiment on the color of car interiors). Craig , the manger, gave me a great price on my trade in and Reggie, who has the awful job of doing the paperwork, made that part easy and was very helpful as I waded through all the considerations of extras that are offered. I am planning on meeting with Melissa who wants to really explain my new car to me. This is a great service as usually you are tired and overloaded when buying a car so you can't take in more info. I feel like not only do they want to sell me a car they really want me to understand and be knowledgeable about the car I bought! This is not your oridinary dealership. If I could give more then 5 stars I would. Before going to Fowlers I absolutely hated car dealerships. I am also not one to leave yelp reviews but these guys made me feel so comfortable I had to. Robert, Craig and Reggie were super awesome, friendly and down to earth. We went there late on a Sunday pretty much knowing which car we wanted, no haggling no back and forth no pushing another car on us and they even ended up lowering the price more then we had previously agreed on, seriously the smothest car buying experience I have ever had. But the awesome customer service didn't end there, unfortunately the check engine light came on in the car shortly after we got it, so we were thinking aww man were stuck but we gave them a call and they were like bring it back in and they gave us a rental while the local dodge dealership fixed it. Finally got the car back and check engine light came on again so we brought it back and got another free rental. While the car was getting fixed again by the local dodge dealership, we got scared about other issues that car may have so we called about possibly getting a different car and immediately they were like sure we'll make it right and we went in again no pressure or haggling and got a different car and all money that was paid towards the original car would come back to us or be applied to the new car. If you don't like the pushyness of most car sales people, this is definitely the dealership for you. read more

This is my 5th time buying a car from Ken Fowler Auto center in the last 30 years. I have appreciated every car that I purchased, this time I was just starting to look after totaling my GMC that was purchased from Ken Fowler, I met Jarrod upon entering the lot and I immediately liked him and the way he went about selling the vehicles, you know sometimes you meet someone you immediately like them and Trudy them that is how I felt. I told him what I was looking for and he showed me a car that I normally wouldn't look at, it was a Buick. I was looking for a used car and Jarrod showed me a brand. Re car that was being sold as used because it was in the a Detroit car show so it had to be sold as used, well needless to say Jarrod sold me exactly what I wanted, great price so I could pay cash with no car payment, I really wanted leather seats and this car did not have it so Jarrod said if I really wanted the car he would pay to have leather put in, and bingo I was sold. THANK YOU JARROD and if anyone wants a salesperson who doesn't push and gives great hugs and keeps you at the price you could afford I recommend JARROD you will definitely not be pushed into anything that you don't want it was a perfect experience. We leased our Mazda SUV from Reggie. The entire experience was a true pleasure which is not what you would expect from a car dealership (based on our experiences). We were visiting from San Francisco and our car had some troubles on the way home. We stopped by this dealership because we saw it off the freeway and had been thinking about a lease anyways. Reggie greeted us warmly and listened to what we were looking for and got right down to what he had in inventory, didn't once try to push a different car on us or waste any time with fluff talk. We really appreciate this because we had 2 small kids with us and we just wanted to make things happen quick. Once we made our decision we answered a few brief questions for the application process and then within an hour and a half max we had keys in our hand and Reggie was taking a family photo for us in front of our new car! The down to earth personality of Reggie made the experience of discovering a new car very comfortable and easy for us. We also appreciated the ease of the paperwork section. Melissa was great! She never tried to push any extras on us, just stated the facts and let us make our decisions. My online and in-person experiences were great! I initially found my vehicle via the Cars.com app. I was a little hesitant to contact Fowler Auto Center because it was 2 hours away but I'm glad I did. Johnny Leon covers the online/internet sales department. He responds very quickly to phone calls, emails and even texts. He was able to find answers to all my questions. It was nice being able to put in all my trade-in car info online to get a realistic idea of the value. My in-person appointment was very easy to coordinate. The car was ready to test-drive the moment I arrived. Johnny was very personable and did not make me feel pressured at all. I felt like he was very up front and honest with pricing and trade-in values. If I had felt pressured or like my time was being wasted, I never would've driven 2 hours to the dealership! It was well worth drive for the fair pricing and non-stress atmosphere. The whole trading-in, purchasing and financing process does take a fair amount of time (not more than I've previously experiences elsewhere) so keep that in mind. I'd highly recommend getting in contact with Johnny Leon or the Fowler Auto Center when looking for a vehicle. My wife and I had been in the market for buying a new car for the past few weeks. On a whim we decided to go the fowler subaru dealership in Ukiah just to talk to them. They convinced us to stay and buy our car at their shop. They happen to have the right car in the right color for us so I figured why not. We ended up buying two different vehicles from them. Our buying experience was nothing short of excellent. Jared  assisted us the most and we both had a wonderful experience while dealing with him. When we got to the financial stag of our purchases, we dealt solely with Reggie. Typically this is the part that I hate most about buying a car. This was a major exception to my past experiences. Reggie was very patient, thorough, and worked his best to get us the best rates and to ensure that we were not stuck there for hours on end. Buying our cars from this dealership has given me a new attitude about buying new cars. This is quite the easiest and thee most genuine car dealership I've ever encountered and the moment my husband and I met Joanna Reed (Sales) in 2016 we were comfortable right away and she helped us with what we wanted and needed and made the process less complicated , we got to go home with leased 2016 blue subaru Crosstrek . 2 years later here we are I had an unfortinate accident with a deer and had my newish car totalled, I called her immediately to ask questions regarding our leased vehicle and insurance etc.. procedures , right away she was able to not only answer all my questions but guided me into a new lease with my fragile state I was still upset about my accident, with no problems and a very easy refinancing process & a even lower car payment than previous she sent me home in a 2018 silver subaru Crosstrek and we are very happy with Joanna Reed she should get number one salesperson of the year she is truly a caring person just a sales person. Our recent experience with Ken Fowler Auto Center was amazing. It proved to me that there are still Dealerships with integrity. My wife and I were out shopping for a vehicle that we could tow behind our motorhome, as we arrived to the dealership we were greeted by Joanna Reed. She proved to be very professional and went over and above in providing a quality experience for both of us. Due to some miscommunication the vehicle we purchased was not the correct fit for our application. After some communication with our contact, and then up the ladder the issue was resolved immediately. Another vehicle was located that fit our needs, we were placed in this vehicle with little pain, and no additional costs, in fact we saved some money. 3 hour drive to get my used cx3. Johnnie Leon went over and beyond keeping me informed most everthing was done when I got there. As my last car was 2003 no frills. I had a lot of catching up to do couldn't start it , couldn't lift the hatch etc. Now they could have told me to find tutorial on my screen but didn't besides couldn't figure that out either. As I'am sitting in car taking notes a guy came up and knocked on my window asked me to turn off .Looked in rear view mirror to find him changing the wiper. Reggie finance guy isn't try to pressure a warranty on me and honored a lower price from when I called bout it. I asked if it was a certified vehicular no it was not . They did that as well which got me the extended warrenty. Love my car. This was almost a no star review, but has turned into a five star. I bought a car from Fowler in 2012 and they made every effort for me and the car has never given me problems. I came in for an oil change and got talked into a brand new car not too long ago! Unfortunately I was not told the entire truth about the history of the car, (only 8 miles on odometer) something the sales people are supposed to tell you. When the owner and the upper management discovered this, I received a huge apology and the offer of a replacement vehicle. I guarantee you the sales people are never going to 'fudge' the condition of their 'new' cars again after this, as my new car is a serious upgrade from the one I gave back. Everyone has been very polite about it, and I have no new paperwork to do, Fowler is taking care of it all. My husband and I bought a car yesterday 10/18/16 at Fowler Auto Center in Ukiah. We highly recommend Sales Manager, Johnny Leon, as your go-to person at Fowler! Service was personable, patient, and straightforward. No pressure tactics from this team. We felt taken care of and welcomed. Due to pain from my illness, I have a short attention span. Johnny was so accommodating of my mobility limitations. He even got us lunch! They are also a dog friendly office. My little Chihuahua was treated like a customer too--with kindness. We adored Melissa and appreciated her service as well. On issues of diversity, I never felt like the team spoke down to me nor addressed my husband more than me. As an older disabled woman of color, I felt visible, respected, and valued. My money was as good as anyone else's, lol. I would highly recommend Fowler Auto Center. I called to ask about a used 2015 Toyota Camry they had, I was directed to Shaun Johnson who went over the whole car with me. I said what kind of payment I was looking for and the next day they had me approved with a great APR and right at the payment I wanted with no hassles, going back and forth or sitting down at the dealer for hours like I have at other local dealers. It was Shaun's day off and he came in to help us with all the paperwork and get the car. He was really friendly and very helpful. He always called me back when I had any questions. I bought my first car here and I am super pleased! The team made it really simple, I didn't even have to go to the dmv! I originally talked with Will Greene who was super helpful and was willing to work with me even though I am currently residing in Sacramento for work. He was even willing to have my car shipped here. I had already planned to be in the lake county area for the weekend and the shipping was not necessary but it was a kind offer. At the dealership I was assisted by Ethan, he showed me the car and made sure that not only I liked it but that I knew all of it's functions and capabilities. I really have nothing but good things to say here. I was looking for a Red CX-5 and found one on the internet at Ken Fowler Mazda. I called then and we were able to come to an agreement on the price over the phone. They were willing to hold it for me until I could drive the 3 hours to come get it. I had never bought a car like this over the phone so I was a bit nervous that something would be wrong when I got there. I had just landed at SFO and was planning to drive up but called to make sure everything was still ok. Mark took all my information and was able to start the process while I drove up. I had great experience with Fowler Auto Center. I searched locally and did not find what i was looking for in my price range. Fowler had the vehicle i was looking for and at my price range. Best of all i purchased and received my vehicle without setting foot at their dealership. Had real smooth negotiating process and because i was unable to drive out to them (2 hr drive) they delivered to me. I test drove the vehicle, heard a little noise in the engine but still signed the paperwork with the understanding that I would take to a local GMC dealer and that Fowler would cover the expense. Local dealer fixed the issue and Fowler reimbursed me. I came along with my friend who was purchasing a car we drove 2-3 hours to deal with Dan and it was one of the most rushed and unprofessional experiences, when we got there the car wasn't ready ,and he almost let my friend test drive without a Borrowed car agreement he had to be asked to go on the test drive ...when they get back and we sit down he then tells us that they got the tax rate wrong and that we had to pay for their mistake , when we asked about warranties he offered a fake warranty of 5/100k for 5k that in his words "covers everything" but after that we move forward on our way to finance he makes a misogynistic joke to my gf about woman in the finance department and to end it all he never showed us the features of the car, it all seemed like he knew he had a deal and just wanted us out the door this read more

I called Costco to purhcase my Mazda 3 hatchback and was referred to Joanna Reed, at Fowler Auto Center. She was wonderful to work with. She had the car ready for me to test drive when I arrived. Joanna knew all about the car, and even paired my phone at the start of our test drive! We quickly went through, which is usually a tedious sales process of going the the finance segment of the purchase. Her and the sales manager also gave me a fair price for my trade-in.
