The best service. Excellent people. Really good prices. I will always take my car here.

I had been stuck in town since Saturday night due to a bad alternator. This Shop was recommended to me by my extended warranty company, and so I brought it down first thing on Monday. Everybody was very friendly and helpful. Even though they were very busy, they said that they would fit me in, and get my car taken care of so I could get back on the road. She took all of my information, including the extended warranty information, and I left the car. A little while later, the shop called me to let me know that the extended warranty company had authorized the repair, and that the part was here in town. I kept my motel room for one more night, so I would have a place to hang out while they were working on the car. Early in the afternoon, I got a call that the car was ready. I went down, paid my warranty deductible, and I was back on the road. I was also told that I had a warranty on the new alternator, and that they would honor it even if I had to go to another repair shop. I just had to call them ahead of time. I had nothing but great service from this shop. If I had to use them again, I would. Thank you. read more

this is dishonest. They wanted me to replace my whole air-conditioning system over a fuse not cool.

Alliance is trustworthy, fast, and does exceptional work. They are also very active in the local community and give back at every turn. Highly recommend! read more

Our car broke down unexpectedly near Ukiah, and we truly lucked out finding Alliance Auto Service. We live in Santa Rosa, so being far from home, we were especially grateful to come across such a trustworthy and knowledgeable place that specializes in hybrids. Jenifer and Sal were incredibly kind and patient. They were responsive and took the time to explain everything clearly. We weren't able to pick up the car right away after the service was completed, and they allowed us to leave it there for an extended period, which was super helpful since we are over an hour away. I highly recommend this business. I only wish they were closer to home! read more

I blew a radiator while heading south towards San Francisco. it was late in the day on a Friday. they were able to find a radiator, and Mr. Rico and his son stayed late to install it. they went above and beyond to get me back on the road that Friday evening, saving me from having to spend the weekend in Ukiah. I highly recommend alliance for anyone with automotive troubles while traveling between San Francisco and eureka. read more

Our car broke down in redwoods. We had it towed to them. They fixed it fast and they met us on the day they are closed so we can pick it up. Thank you for a good customer service, We appreciate for opening for us a bit because that's the only time we are available since we are from the bay area. Thank you so much and we highly recommend them!:) We are so happy that our car is working now!:) read more

They told me I needed a new transmission and that it would cost me 3,000. The shifter is a little loose but the transmission isn't the problem. This happened 2 years ago and it still drives fine. They tried to rip me off. Beware of these people they will try to get over. Fuck that place. I rate them a negative 5 stars read more

Hundred miles from home and my Audi A3 gives me a transmission error message. I feel so lucky to have found Salvador who knew what needed to be done. He really went the extra mile to get me back on the road again. read more

The service was perfect. Jennifer made sure our job was done when she said it would be done. Alliance not only did a great job but they also got us going promptly. They didn't just tell us what was wrong and needed but they also backed up their research with photos and that was something I appreciated and never seen done by a shop. They are total professionals. We had a great experience. read more

Love this shop!!! Honest, trustworthy staff not trying to upsale. The free inspection with pictures was a big help to understand what the real issues were. My 2010 rides like it did when I bought it thank you Alliance My trip to florida will be a worry free one read more

My Honda CRV had a window motor repaired on my first visit. Very reasonable price & quick turnaround. They explained the repair thoroughly. This was also my experience when my 2016 Mini Cooper needed engine cooling system parts replaced. I was texted the link to a thorough explanation of what the repair entailed. Also appreciated was an estimate of when the work would be done in addition to the cost estimate. I can't recommend this shop highly enough. No matter what kind of vehicle you have, they can fix it. As a AAA approved service, your repair has a limited warranty if you're a AAA member. Overall excellent customer service! read more

Very knowledgeable on my issues that I have had with my car over the years. They get me right in and I never have to fix anything they fixed. Friendly staff. read more

I regularly take my two cars there, a '14 Subaru Outback manual transmission and a '05 Honda Accord Hybrid. I'm always satisfied with the work they do and consider it to be fairly priced. Both Jenifer and Sal do an excellent job of communicating the problems and going over options to solve them. Work they have done over the last 3+ years on our cars: (that I can remember off the top of my head) -oil changes -regular maintenance -transmission on the Outback -light buffing/replacement -brakes I highly recommend Alliance Auto Service based off of my and my wife's experience with them. read more

I love the texts that I get to remind me about getting my truck serviced. it has also been very convenient when setting up appointments. I am not always able to answer my phone calls, but I can often answer and reply to texts. They are also very careful to inspect and service my truck so I always feel it is safe to drive. read more

I had my mercades towed from another shop to this one for a second opinion. The first shop said 5k or more in repairs and that it was likely that the motor was destroyed so they werent going to do the repair in any case. That didn't sound right so I called another shop. They weren't able to get me in but recommended this shop. They gave me a much more reasonable estimate, fixed the major problem and my motor was just fine. They found and let me know about a couple smaller leaks which I'll deal with later. They have a really cool setup where they send you pictures of the issues they find which really helps me trust this shop. They've got a new customer here! read more

Wonderful service and easy communication. Sal and Jenifer are trustworthy and follow through with their services.

This business is amazing! I had bought a vehicle from Carmax in Santa Rosa and paid for an extra warranty. After about 2 weeks I realized that The sync system that connects the speakers to your phone must have been broken because I could not get it to work. I called CarMax and they said that the repair is considered maintenance and wouldn't agree to fix it. I brought my car to Alliance Auto Service and when they saw that I had recently bought it from Carmax - they agreed that Carmax should definitely be covering the cost to fix it. They took it upon themselves to contact CarMax and act as my liaison and now this repair will be covered 100% by my warranty. I was prepared to pay out-of-pocket to get this fixed and they went above and beyond to take good care of me. read more

Thank you all for fixing my car! I know it wasn't easy figuring it out, but you did it!!! I am disabled and have a lot of trouble sometimes driving a stick, but I can if I have to! Great customer service , I felt really confident with the work. Now he is my main mechanic would recommend anybody to him.

They did a really great job fixing several things that needed attention on my car. I could immediately feel the difference after the repairs they did and the car is driving much better now. The vibe of the shop and all the staff I interacted with felt really friendly. It's really nice to know there's a local car place that I can trust with my vehicles. read more

6 weeks 3 tows and so many lies I lost count. Went to a different auto repair shop and they repaired it in 2 days. Alliance called them asking what it was and how did he fix it. They are idiots. Save time and lots of money by going to a real auto repair shop first. Paid nothing for labor and wish they would take me to court. Worst shop ever!! read more

Alliance goes above and beyond in service and care! They were able to figure out issues no one else could! (Salvador is an amazing diagnostician). This place basically hustled my girlfriend out of 2 grand. Her car broke down in Ukiah and she called AAA. AAA told her they recommended Alliance. They diagnosed it as a bad alternator and a couple of hoses and a list of other small things. Charged her two thousand dollars. She's driving it the next day and the check engine light pops back on. We take it back to them and now they say it's a blown head gasket. Of course we can't afford the 3 grand they quoted to fix it. That 2 grand they charged us could've went towards the head gasket instead if they would have done they're jobs properly. How do "professional" mechanics misdiagnose the blown head gasket? Plus they didn't even screw down and torque everything back properly. The turbo intercooler hose wasn't even bolted back on properly. You're better off fixing it yourself in the Autozone parking lot. read more

I didn't receive service from this shop, nor did I deal in any money matters. These five stars are just for letting me bring my car over, put it on the lift, and assess some Julia-caused undercarriage damage. The guys inspected the damage and gave me their advice. All of them were cool and honest and nice. Steve made it happen. Thank you to all of them; you guys made my weekend better. read more

When Honda stopped servicing my 22-year old Acura I found Alliance. After two other local shops mis-diagnosed the Acura's A/C system problem, and fleeced me about $600, the guys at Alliance properly diagnosed the issue and fixed it. They also subsequently serviced a failed part under warranty. The thing I like most about this shop is their professionalism, and the great application they have for diagnosing and demonstrating problems. They have great troubleshooting tools and skills. read more

Alliance is great Jennifer and sal are the best . Very good mechanics ! Always one hundred percent happy!

Friendly, helpful and completed the fix when they promised. Broke down just north of town, and got here as they were the only place in town open on Saturday that was AAA approved. They determined the breakdown cause on my older model car, and spent time attempting to get the part all over the area. Another person went on the phone and found me a reasonable motel as all the rental agencies had closed at noon. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the need to wait for the part. It was probably to much to ask that they stock a fuel pump for a 16 year old vehicle, Four weeks later, and things are still running fine, so I was happy. read more

I can check that job off my to-do list.... take car in for Oil change & servicing. Why this duty becomes such a chore I don't know... it's relatively easy.. take car, leave car, pickup car. But I am always really relieved when it's done. Same feeling I get after a necessary visit to the Vet when Violet is ill.... duty done! Same ' new in town' ordeal of finding the right DDS, dry cleaner, etc... There are no Grease Monkey's or Fast Lubes here. Then John remembered that he knew through Rotary [ yes, he's a Rotarian !] this Automotive place that seems to do everything, so he scheduled an 8am dropoff today. And I was happily off the hook... John could do it and walk the 2-3 blocks to work. And this is just as well... I think men get a more honest deal & better work done typically in these places than a woman [ i don't think that is a old fashioned assessment-- I truly think so in many instances and in my experiences, that a woman gets taken advantage of. ] I thought I'd be without a car a couple hours... no problem, I have plenty to do at home. At one o'clock, John calls saying it will be another hour or so, and he'll bring the car back... no problem, time to do a few errands after. At 230pm... well, you get the idea. Car was there all day. The scoop is-- they did a great job. Oil, fluids, filters changed. Tires, tubes & plugs checked. A couple small parts on order & to be replaced. Car left neat & clean. Cost is acceptable. We've found ourselves a car service place-- what a relief. And I really didn't want to go anywhere today anyway. read more

WORST MECHANIC EXPERIENCE. My friend and I were driving through Ukiah and experienced some smokey brakes. Naturally we became worried and yelped for a good mechanic in Ukiah. Given the great reviews for Alliance, we chose them. We met Steve at 5:30pm, told him about the smokey brakes, and he recommended we replace the pads, the rotors, the calipers, the caliper brackets, and hoses. I asked if all of that needed replacement and he assured me they did. When I asked him how long it'd take, he said it would be done by noon at the latest. Over the course of the next day, we'd stop in the shop and ask about the progress. Parts he thought he had needed to be delivered still, or the part he ordered didn't fit, or there was some other unexpected snag. Every time, he'd say "it'll be done in a couple hours." We spent the entire day in this fashion, when finally the brakes were done by 6:30pm. He assured us that the wait (and price) were worth it. We asked him if $65 per rotor was too expensive, and he said they were the better quality rotors that would last longer (note that he never asked us whether we wanted better quality rotors or not... later research suggested that $65 is way too much for a rotor). We left, a little frustrated over the price and the entire day lost in "waiting purgatory" (I'd rather he tell us straight away that it'd take a full day, we would've taken a day trip instead of visiting the mechanic every other hour). Not even a week later, my friend is experiencing brake issues with the car again! The brake lights are lighting, and the brakes feel like they're dragging. We have a 12K mile warranty, but the time and aggravation wasted on Alliance is even worse in this light. Now, we have to take the car back into a shop, and when we asked Alliance which shop would take the warranty, they said "any." It turns out they're wrong here, too. The shop has to be affiliated with the warranty's network. All in all, I would not recommend this shop to even my least favorite person. They don't deserve a high yelp rating at all. Their customer service is awful. Their work didn't hold up. Their prices are too high. read more
