When I drop my truck off, I heard all of the employees at Big O Tires, Ukiah ca. Answer the phones, like that. Ok fast, friendly, they did their best to put, good, no great set of tires on my ford explorer four wheel drive. Safety is my biggest concern while city driving or boony crashing/// camping is the mountains at the river bar. They got me set up just fine. My truck had paper Matt's on the floor as a matter of fact, not dirt at all in or on my white truck with tan interior. I was very impressed.

I had been stuck in town since Saturday night due to a bad alternator. This Shop was recommended…read moreto me by my extended warranty company, and so I brought it down first thing on Monday. Everybody was very friendly and helpful. Even though they were very busy, they said that they would fit me in, and get my car taken care of so I could get back on the road. She took all of my information, including the extended warranty information, and I left the car. A little while later, the shop called me to let me know that the extended warranty company had authorized the repair, and that the part was here in town. I kept my motel room for one more night, so I would have a place to hang out while they were working on the car. Early in the afternoon, I got a call that the car was ready. I went down, paid my warranty deductible, and I was back on the road. I was also told that I had a warranty on the new alternator, and that they would honor it even if I had to go to another repair shop. I just had to call them ahead of time. I had nothing but great service from this shop. If I had to use them again, I would. Thank you.

A friend told me once , "The secret of being really successful in sales is not closing the deal. It's helping people find their way." I must have taken up an hour or more of Todd's time trying to figure out what I wanted for my truck. Spacers, lift kits, offsets... on and on! In the end I learned a lot and they did not get their sale. What they did get is my trust. It takes time and a willingness to have a conversation (sometimes many!) to figure out what people think they want vs what actually serves them best. That is rare today. This is not a business model that "scales up"; you can't automate or AI this kind of exchange. This is an old family business.
